Oh yeah, he’s going to feel awful about hurting her. actually, that might be the moment he cries. hating being weak because he can’t take care of her, hating that he hurt the woman he loves, emotional that he still cares about him after he did something so awful.

Hadley will feel terrible thathe was hold ong onto all of those feelings for so long.

 

[Lumina]

If she tells him that, he’d probably tell her that he didn’t want to be a liability to her or jeopardize her position as captain. that his feelings didn’t matter in this situation, as she was his priority.

"Gods damnit why are you so selfless!?"

 

[Lumina]

“I owe you my life, Hadley. Plain and simple. Since the day we left my family’s manor, my life is and always will be yours.”

"Do you really think I'm the the person to give your life to, for the love of gods looks what happened"

 

[Lumina]

“Yeah, I do.” he’d move closer to her, not losing eye contact. “I knew the risks of this life, and I chose it, because of you. This is nothing compared to what it would feel like without you by my side.”

"I...I don't...I can't...w-we can't it's..." She sighs, not having the patience to deal with all of this now. "...You know what, you survive this fucking infection...and we...can talk about it later...I can't...not right now...not like this...it feels...like a goodbye...".

Imagine if he passed out right after that xD like he’s still recovering and he just collapses from trying to act fine xD

She'd about have a heart attack xD

poor Hadley, she’ll be run ragged by the time he recovers xD

though i just had an image in my head where merrina goes to check on Alaric and Hadley is curled up in bed next to him, either asleep with him or doing something cute like stroking his hair and giving him forehead kisses and whispering cute things because he’s unconscious but obviously in some pain so she’s trying to make him feel better

I had that same thought actually xD
I'd debated finding some sort of lullaby that she might hum, something she remembers from her maternal figure.
Merrina could walk in on her singing or humming softly to Alaric in an attempt to help him actually fall asleep.

aw that would be cute. Merrina would probably leave as quietly as she could so she didn’t disturb them. if alaric did finally fall asleep, he’d probably curl himself against her, almost like a child would, just because Hadley is his safe zone and his home.

Hadley would probably fall asleep not long after, just thankful for a few minutes of peace and quiet.
I imagine later the kids might go in to check on them and find her passed the fuck out.

I imagine Alaric waking up first and looking over to see Hadley sleeping next to him, pretty out of it, probably having no idea what he had said the last night to her that might have made her worry.

Haadley prob wouldnt wake for a while, and when she did she'd prob be fairly embaressed

Yeah I imagine after worrying so much and taking care of him as much as she has that she’d be exhausted. Then it would be Alaric being cute with the forehead kisses and whatnot, at least as much as she could manage with the sickness. He might even laugh a little at seeing her embarrassed, though he’d probably comment that it was cute.

She woikd act allgrumoy but really she would like the attention.

“You’ll still be cute, even then.”

And Alaric loves to give that attention when he can.

Hadley begrudgingly loves getting that attention.

Even if she wont admit it.

Think she’d ever get jealous if something caused him to have to give his extended attention to another girl?

Oh hell yes she would.

Oh if she got angry enough that other woman might just disappear.

Alaric might get a little concerned if she did that, but since he might do the same he might be kind of happy that she’s at least a little possessive.
