I imagine Hadley's recklessness might have a similar effect on Alaric.

Because Hadley is reckless enough to almost always get injured in fights, and because she's stubborn she probably refuses to see a doctor about them.

And because of this, I think that Alaric probably learned some stuff about medicine so that he could treat her, because she might actually listen to him and let him treat her xD

I can see that working, though the ship does have a doctor.

i would imagine so, but if Hadley refuses to see a doctor, then they’re kind of useless for whatever she might need xD

True, but hey, being shot full of holes every now and again is good for you, so who needs doctors? xD

Hah of course! Also Alaric kinda likes taking care of her, if he’s honest with himself xD

I actually had a thought where something happened and it was the other way around, Hadley has to take care of Alaric.
It stemmed from the idea that beast races are weak to silver laced weapons, and that there are a group of hunters out for Hadley and Alaric's heads, given you know, they are notorious criminals.

Basically the crew and these hunters get into a fight at sea or something and Alaric winds up getting shot or stabbed or some kind of injury and he gets infected with silver.
In the aftermath he get sick and stuff and Hadley opts to take care of him and it was all cute and sad and stuff xD

Aw that would be cool!

if you want, we could work this in the RP? like a group going after their heads/the keys attacks them, and Alaric gets hurt somehow (maybe protecting one of them?) and gets infected and sick. if he protected Merrina, could be a good way for Cass to start to not hate him because he was willing to protect his sister. and then it would be cute for Hadley to take care of him

Oh, that could work nicely, I'd also had the thought that seeing the pair in a different light, it could help both of the sibling to see the pirates in a different light.
Seeing the usually crass and rude Hadley fretting over and acting nurturing toward the usually cold and aloof Alaric would work wonders on the negative opnions the two might have of them.
That would work even better given Alaric got injured protecting Merrina.

I feel like Alaric will play it off as no big deal at first, probably because he had never been poisoned by silver before. He’d keep up the act until he pretty much collapses. like, merrina visits him to thank him for protecting her and then he collapses and falls unconscious and then she runs screaming to cass and hadley for help.

And Hadley will likely freak out at first, because she's never seen him get hurt so badly and it might take a bit before she's able to calm down and process what was going on.

Cass would just be like. "Oh...shit"

Oh yeah. Alaric would probably be a bit of a wreck for a while. For drama sake it can be a nasty wound that leaves a badass scar xD

i feel like merrina will want to help Hadley, so it could be a way for her to feel useful on her own as well as a chance for Hadley and Merrina to bond a bit.

Bad ass scars are badass, Hadley's got plenty of them xD

Hadley will likely need the help, she's not versed in medicene, and the ship doctor, who I imagine as a wise old lady (or man i suppose), will probably take a step back, knowing that the entire experience is overall good for all of them.

At the very least it might make Hadley and Alaric be honest about their feelings. I'd had a thought this doctor might be a longtime crew member/ friend, I might make em a brief character sheet.

Oh for sure, maybe Merrina will find an interest in herbalism/medicine from all of it.

Ooh, yes. I imagine Alaric might hallucinate a few times from the silver sickness, which should be fun. I also imagine that there will be a point where Alaric honestly believes he's going to die. If he thinks he's dying, he's gonna tell Hadley he loves her, because one of his biggest regrets would be if he didn't tell her he loved her before he dies. Probably a bit more about how he truly feels. Things like: how he's glad that he met her, that she pretty much saved his life, how he was glad that he could have lived his life for her, how he wished that he would have told her sooner, all that stuff.

Oh god Hadley wouldn't know what to do with herself if Alaric died, she'd be so emotional when he confessed all that stuff, and since she's not usually so emotional she'd be a mess xD

The same with Alaric if Hadley died. I feel like he would feel like there's no reason to live, since he lives for Hadley at this point. hell, for added effect, he might actually cry xD

I'm wondering if because of the silver poisoning hallucinations, he might think he imagined the confession, or might not even remember it at all from having such a high fever.

I had a thought that in his haze his rage state might be triggered and he might lash out.

It would be hilarious after all the drama he doesnt remember so when hadkey acts more open hes super confused.

Oh shoot, yeah I can definitely imagine it. Ooh maybe Hadley was there and she calmed him down, not before getting injured by him a bit. He'd ask about them later if he noticed new injuries on her.

Oh for sure, though he probably wouldn't mind.

I can see him freaking out about him hurting her but at that point shes just happy hes okay and stuff.
