Depends where you want to go, scientists come in all shapes and sizes, some of them can apply their skills broadly, some can only speak when they have a blackboard for support, and only formulate coherent sentences in a scientific paper. An occult specialty in Physics would be obvious, Socialize (Scientists), Linguistics (Academic articles), Presence (in writing), Performance (lecturing) spring to mind.
 
Anyway, for inspiration on a scientist who has excellent social skills, Richard Feynman is undoubtedly the canonical example: [media]

Another kind of question, the free excellencies that we get with charm purchases, do they include general charms like (Yozi) Mythos Exultant and (Yozi) Inevitability Technique? if not, lets say I get 5 SWLIHN charms, at ess 3 the most I can get would be 3 charm purchases of the 1st Ex and the 2nd, leaving me with 1 unused free excellency slot, can that be saved for the time I need to buy the 4th purchase of the 1st Ex?

Regarding his escape and eventual destination in America, how does this sound? Immediately after murdering his wife, and before people got the alert about his fit in the university (he could have been pulling an all nighter), Eric gathered what he could and fled to Russia (via train). In there, he spent the first few days hiding, but eventually managed to find a mobster that dealt with fake passports and id's, normally meant to smuggle russians into the states, but with the help of some Exalted magic Eric managed to score himself one fake passport and visa, which got him on the next flight to New York.


Additionally, I might have Eric take up a few Ebon Dragon charms (Loom Snarling Deception) that would allow him to 'be' Edmund Blake. Making it easier to escape the country into the US.
 
They check passports at the russian border as well, but that's not anything a few well placed bills can't handle. Also, there are procurers of fake passports in Germany, including Munich.
 
Either way could work, I figured he could do that in Munich as well, but I just thought he might not have had enough time to get his fake passport once the police began a search for him after finding the body of his ex, and getting the news of his fit in the lab. Also that would have given him a few days to learn to consciously use a couple more charms, rather than using them instinctively (which is how I imagine you start).But anyways, let's go with whatever you prefer.

So, some of you have a few more spare xp :) May I suggest you use them to get mutual friends.
 
Oh! You meant the second dot costs 2 xp, for a total cost of three? I thought you meant the first dot cost 1, the second cost 3 more, then the third cost 6 more. But each one costs equal to the new rating, got you.

Alright, the rest of my sheet is up, I still have to correct a few details, essence pools, combat traits but otherwise it's done.
