''I think I'm good'' Tim said as he crawled towards the pillar he had hid a few minutes ago,''I'll be around here'' he said as he motioned towards his wounds.''It's not like I can go very far anyway.''

Since they had a few minutes before the transport arrived, Ronda decided to talk to Tyler a little. She went over to where he had gone and said, "Y'all got a family?"
Tyler looked up at the agent, "N-Not really, mom's on earth, dads on death row..." he said, "It's just...Bad memories with the nukes...I was there when the war ended with Russia, we were a relife effort for a city that ceased to exist. We were sent to find and help survivors, since the nukes were misfires, but only two hit their intended targets, one nuke hit LA, the other, some city called Moscow...I think that's what it was called, whatever it was called, it got wiped off the face of the earth, along with anyone that was there..." he said, tearing up a bit, "We, came upon a school...I'm sure you know the rest from there..." he said, wiping his face and dropping his helmet, "I can still fight...the sight of the nukes were just triggers, once they're out of sight and out of mind, I'll be fine again, just...The devastation they caused..." he said, standing up, taking the helmet too. "I...I might go top side, and greet the new team." he said, "Unless, that boss won't allow that..." he said, looking at her.

(Too much...?)

"Keep your head down..." Desh whispered to Tim and started walking down a hallway, painfully aware of her wound. She raised her gun up and slowed her pace as she focused on all sounds and motions.

"Always. Just don't let anyone figure out you're working with me. They might do something drastic." She looked away with a slight frown. "I'll send my people if I need to contact you."

Ronda put her arm around Tyler's shoulder and said, "Lemme ask ya somethin'. What are y'all fightin' for?"
"I...I don't know what we were fighting for! I was just a infantry man, me and my team were sent to front line battles, not infiltration. They sent my team, only, my team, to that city, and we had to witness what happened! We had to document the aftermath...Storms, charred corpses, skeletons...small skeletons..." he trailed off, "We came back as heros, some of us couldn't live normal life, or get jobs...since, as your kill count get's higher...the lower the chance of getting a normal job." he said, remembering his life on the streets.

Tyler looked at her, "Peace I guess, a friend gave me a job here, so really, I guess I'm here making sure we have peace." he said, smiling a bit.

"Good. Don't focus on what happened in th' past. Focus on what yer doin' now. Focus on th' peace that yer fightin' for."

Tyler nodded "T-Thank's...Sorry...Never caught your name." he said, politely, though, he does forget things from time to time.

"Tyler..." he said, reloading his gun, since he was kinda board standing around, but this Ronda person was calming the boredom a bit. "Any idea on when this raid will end? Like, are we free to go when the ships get here?" he asked her.

"Silith said that we're leavin' with th' rockets, so all we can right now is sit tight until th' transport comes."

Victoria's hearing slowly returned to her as she assesed her options. The MPs around her spread out, scanning the area as one kept a gun trained on her head. Victoria's head snapped right as a distinct noise crossed the hallway with a ding, the elevator tone.

Victoria watched as the elevator opened, a small detachment of MPs exiting and moving in their direction. The two MPs that noticed them first lowered their guns as they raised an arm in greeting, their mistake. The two in the front both fired once, reducing both bodies to heaps as their bullets found vital marks. As the remaining MPs moved to retaliate two more stepped ahead of the first, utilizing burst fire to pick of those that remained.

The false MPs moved around Victoria, one sliding across the floor to stop in front of the open doorway. The MP leveled with the dropship, heavy RPG atop his shoulder as he took aim and fired. A fiery explosion confirmed the landing of the shot, "Target KIA. Area secured." the man spoke at last.

"Mission accomplished, burn the bodies and collect the wounded. We're exfil in 3." the man ordered as he stood, packing away the RPG as the rest of the squad moved to action. One stopped by Victoria as he unpacked a retracable stretcher and began to move her on it. It was excricuiating as the man moved her arms into position, and the stetcher itself stuck to her hair, an obvious sign of blood. The men began discussing more details of the mission that Victoria ignored as the pain entered her.

Desh ducked when she heard more shooting and looked around. The realization dawned on her. She had no chance against these attackers. The same drive which pushed her to fight was now holding her back.

Her fur was soaked with blood and steadily turning crimson. There was no other choice than to retreat.

She started walking to the stairs but remembered Tim who could easily be spotted near the elevator. Chills ran down her spine as she realized she would be putting herself in danger just to save someone who might not be worth saving. Her protective instincts were fading but not fast enough. With an audible gulp, Desh headed to find Tim.

"Tim?" She whispered as she neared the last place she saw him - near the elevator and stairway.

A young Snow Dyn girl opened the door to the mansion lounge. She was wearing an ELE officer uniform and sported an adorable smile.

"Millie, my dear." Violet stood up and the girl walked into her arms for a long hug. "It's been days, I was even more bored without you." Violet rubbed a hand on her back. "I feel so comfortable with my bodyguard back where she belongs." She let go of the girl and looked at James. "Anything else?"

"No." said James as he began making his way towards the exit and then turning around "Actually , yes. Is that Sergeant Nika Desh' sister? She doesn't know her sister works for you, correct?"

"Yes, but we'd rather keep it quiet. Neither of us wants Nika to kick down my door." Violet rolled her eyes. "Why?" She shifted her weight to her left leg while keeping one arm on her hip.

"Could come in handy." said James as he turned towards the door "Good blackmail material. I will keep it secret, of course."

Richard nodded and left the room.

Victoria looked on in confusion, recognizing the voice from earlier but not understanding why the man was dressed as an MP. "What's...what's going on?" she asked.

"Don't worry about it. Just sit tight while we get out of here. Johnson, sedate her." The man ordered, waving a hand at a man who approached Victoria as he pulled a needle from a medical bag.

"Wait wait wait, no need to do that." Victoria tried to protest, though it had no effect on the man who swiftly located the vein in her neck and administered the needle without a word.

"Sleep tight, Vicky." The man said with a cocky tone as Victoria's vision faded.

"Alright, let's move. Out the window, go go go." The lead man ordered as the squad moved into the room and began rigging up repelling gear.
