Not sure really, been a while since I’ve read the article where I saw that. Anyway, either possiblity could be possible. After all, the Dragon Break is a sort of multicerse that allows for multiple endings in Daggerfall.

Sorry, I read the article wrong. The Numidium was assembled in Elsweyr, it was not destroyed there.

Maybe they both hate the fact that their races are working with each other, so they worked with each other to break the alliance apart. Brilliant!
