“That’s a good idea”, Lark looked around, one side of the path went deeper into the marsh. There were more creatures that she didn’t recognize. In the other direction, there was an end with a swirling light that just kind of floated there.
“Which way should we go?”

Zeke blushed, “oh...” he noticed that as he moved the branch he was holding from one hand to the other, it changed slots, “weird...” he noticed a switch that said hotbar, and clicked it. The bottom row went down and turned into a separate window that the others couldn’t see, “cool...”
Trevor watched him, “you don’t play video games very much, do you?”
Zeke looked to him, “uh, I might when I’m hanging out with one of my friends, but normally... No...”
“Which way should we go?”

The portal rippled again, this time they could see a path on the other side. It looked like there were wheat fields on either side and a gate at the end.

Trevor looked down the path, “you see that portal?”, he pointed to a swirl in the distance, “that will take us to our destination. There are plenty of good people there that can help you figure some things out. Like a place to stay and stuff like that. A few of the best players started there.”, he chuckled, “the reason I asked you earlier if you introduced yourself was because of a funny thing that the game does. No matter what it is, the game lists the first thing that you introduce yourself as, to be your username. There was this noobie at some point that made a joke at one of the players I was talking about earlier. He wound up with the username ‘Mr.Sparkle_Crotch’, it was hilarious.” He laughed, “I think he’s one of the Shopkeepers now, so try not to laugh when you meet him. He bases his prices on who laughs.”

Lark steps through the portal. She feels really lightheaded as if she’s about to barf. She falls to the ground as soon as they get through, pulling Xavier to the ground as well.

Xavier slowly gets up to his feet and looks around, they were on a cobble path leading to a walled off city surrounding all of it was a golden wheat field that stretched as for as the eye could see

They stepped through the portal. Trevor was perfectly fine, but Zeke collapsed on the ground wanting to vomit.
“Hey! There are some people here”, Trevor looked to the two and waved
Lark heard a noise and turned around to see three people walking through the swirl. One seemed perfectly fine, one seemed somewhat nauseous, and the other collapsed on the ground “Hey, there are more people.” She waved back, “should we talk to them, or try to go inside the gate?”
“Hey! There are some people here”, Trevor looked to the two and waved

I found them because the screaming... it I wasn’t there, they probably would have died... or at least one of them would... Anyway, I don’t remember their names...”, he looked to Xavier and Lark then back, “did you find these two, or are they just here?”
