Xavier was back in his sword stance and looked like he wanted to punch somebody in the face

Alex “nope I’ve been waiting here since the store closed” she had a bow and quiver on her back, she was also wearing blue jeans and a red crop top

Trevor looked to Xavier, “I’m not going to do anything bad. If I wanted to hurt either of you even slightly, you probably would have died instantly.” He sighs, “now... I want to know your names, but before you tell me them, have you introduced yourselfes to each other yet?”

Lark came out from behind Xavier, “um... I don’t think so..”

Trevor looked to them, “Alright. Now before you do, think about if you wanna be called something other than your name”, he snaps and a cousor appears above his head with a username ‘Just_A_Dude_With_A_Scar’. He points to it, “If someone asks you your name, or you say that you are something, it will show up here for the rest of your life... We’ve only found one way to change it and it’s really tedious, so not a lot of people do it.” He puts his hand down, “I was reluctant to give my name and said that... if I knew that would happen, I would have at least said something cool.”

Alex walks around Xavier and lark to stand next to Trevor “try and think of something cool like me,” she then snaps her fingers and a cursor appears over her head showing the name Meadowlark

Xavier lowers the stick starring at the name tag “why is this so much like a game”

Trevor says simply, “because it pretty much is. Nobody here knows why, but eventually we all stop questioning it. It’s just a fact of life now. You haven’t noticed anything that may have reminded you of a game?”

Lark shifted uncomfortably, “um... there have been a few things... But they aren’t the kind of things you usually see in this kind of game...”

Trevor gave her a questioning look, “what do you mean?”

Lark blushed, “Um... well... It’s hard to explain... You see...... Um...” she stayed silent.

Alex bent over so lark could whisper it to her

Xavier was now starring out at the feald lost in thought

Lark whispered into Alex’s ear, “Every time he was nice to me, and my heart fluttered, some kind of window popped up... I don’t think he recognized the pattern because it ruined the moment every time. Is this permanent? Because I have a feeling that he was taken before he was brought here, and I think he will probably notice eventually...”

Trevor started to chuckle, “I am so glad I leveled up my audio reception skill tree...”

Zeke looked to Ashlyn, “do you have any idea why he’s laughing?”

Alex whispered back “that’s the dating simulator function, you get it if you played a lot of them before coming here” she chuckled a little before saying “there is no way to turn it off.”

Xavier “so where are we?” He asked walking to the edge of the path

Lark had a sad expression, “why, cruel world... I just want some romance in my life...”

“OH SHI- WAIT”, Trevor ran and grabbed Xavier’s arm, “don’t go into the fields! Even high level players have difficulty surviving once they go in! It’s filled with a bunch of higher level variants of all kinds of monsters... and a few boss monsters if you go deep enough...”, he releases his arm, “it would pretty much be instant death...”

he steps back, “Now, to answer your question”, he points to the gate, “That is the entrance to Leoden. It’s a town that was here when people showed up. There are stores, inns, restaurants, and altered versions of pretty much anything you could find in the ‘real world’. There used to be a lot of NPCs, but as more players arrived, they just became less frequent. There are some kids hanging around that came from player characters that have never seen the ‘real’ world, but we don’t know wether or not they can be classified as NPCs”,

He scratches his head, “We think they are human and act like they are human, but because the NPCs were so advanced, we honestly don’t know. The only way to be certain is if we find a way back and can take them there. But a lot of us don’t even care if we find a way back at this point. We consider almost everything to be real because we can eat the monsters, and we can sense everything like we could before.”

He pauses, “that brings up another important piece of information... Until you level up a few times, pain will be a bit of a problem.”

Alex giggles again “don’t we all”

Xavier only responded with one question “how do I get out?”

Trevor hesitates, “You mean, back to the ‘real’ world?”

Lark asks Alex, “how do I use its functions exactly? I don’t know how to fight”

Alex throws her arm around larks shoulder and begins explaining it all while walking her to the gate

Xavier looks him dead in the eyes “yes”

she just kind of stays quiet takeing in any info she comes across

Trevor gets a sort of uncomfortable expression, “fssss... I don’t know... Nobody does. We have Theories, but none of them have worked. The only one we can think of is beating the final boss... But we don’t know because nobody who has gone to it’s realm has come back except for the first person... and he was only there briefly. We don’t even know how he got back here, he used to say that he thought it was a bug. But we can’t really ask him what happened, because he went insane a couple of years ago after figuring out so many of the final bosses spells. Though, he did teach quite a few people over the years, you might be able to get some information out of one of them. I think there’s a potion master in Leoden that knew someone who knew one of his apprentices.”
He turns to Alex, “He works with Mr._Sparkle_Crotch, right?”

she looked down trying to surpress a grin "im so sorry" she says as she composes herself, we need to get moving though to find him" she said looking to zeke and trevor

Zeke laughs, “That name is so purfect...”

Alex was already halfway to the gate and had just shown Lark how to open her menu

Trevor turned to Xavier, “Well... let’s go in, you will probably be here for a while, so a tour is probably worthwhile”

she lightly smacked zekes arm "you heard zeke, mr_Sparkle_Crotch doesn't apreciate people laughing at him so please compose yourself before we get there" she whispered

she followed the group in for the tour

Xavier looked out over field one last time before heading to the gate

Zeke fake laughed, “oh... right.” He followed along as well

she zoned out through the tour and jsut walked along lost in though

Lark continued to talk to Alex, “so it is possible to at least hide the notifications from others? That’s good... I can learn to ignore them... Now, let’s see if I can open the UI...”, she hugs herself with closed hands and it pops up, “that is so awesome... and kind of adorable...”

she looks at zeke out of the corner of her eye to see how he's doing
