Dreams of the Second Age - Additional IC

Looking a bit worn for wear, though not injured in any way, Araneus steps forward and speaks. "I am Araneus, also known as the Obsidian Spider of Yu-Shan, master poisoner and servant of Saturn."

Zen-Aku gave a respectful half-bow, "I am Zen-Aku, Endless Blades of the Sun, and the Dawn Caste of this circle. I specialize in weapons and the teaching the art of war."

"You might remember me, I was born and raised here in the East and used to live here. I raised mounts and wrote music as my hobby before my second breath. I am Aredin, the Song that Mends the Soul, Eclipse Caste. Plans were made for us to be here sooner, but through some odd circumstances we arrived now." Aredin gave a polite bow as he flared his caste mark again while they sat in separated light of his anima. "You ask for the binding of oaths so I shall offer mine. I pledge my hands to the cause of restoring the Ochre Fountain and the Kingdom seated in Rathess. Will you join us in this?"

"I am Nikola Trotsky of the Twilight caste, Architect of Genesis, and Crafter of Wonders." he salutes the Goddess, saying, "IT is truly wonderous to see Dragon Kings once more, and I long to see them become more than they currently are."

Finally Pyter introduces himself, and Leeayta offers a nod of her head to each of you. "Greetings, and well met to you all. Come with me. Let us discuss our future dealing with one another in a more private place." She turns and heads back towards the shimmering portal, takes a step into it, looks over her shoulder to see if the rest of you are following. "This is my sanctum, and for now, you are my guests." With that, she steps through and disappears, but the portal is still there. The two Sidereals can attest that this is one way for a sanctum to manifest itself, and it should be safe for all to join Leeayta inside.

"Keep your guard up, but let us go. That will lead us to her sanctum."

Araneus takes the lead, just in case of danger, and follows Leeayta through the portal to her private domain.

Entering the sanctum is no big deal for the Sidereals; they would have done this hundreds of times in their work with the various gods of Creation. For the rest of the group, it is a little unusual, but not disturbingly so. Looking about, you can see that you are in the midst of a vast museum of the history of Rathess, from its early days to when it was the capitol of Creation long before the city of Meru was built. Weapons, armor, glittering jewels, tapestries and paintings are everywhere, some showing the glory of the early Solars in the war against the Primordials, some showing some of the epic battles that the Dragon Kings were involved in for that massive war. Everything in the central room is in perfect condition, well maintained and cleaned. But a careful look down some of the side corridors show a layer of dust and cobwebs. It is clear that the only creature in here is Leeayta herself.

She leads you to a set of chairs that are designed for Dragon King physiology that have been piled high with cushions to make them more comfortable for the human behind. Lowering herself down upon a seat, she rubs her hands together. "Now we can speak without being overheard. Tell me of your plans for my people and the city of Rathess. My heart is longing for the day that the city is restored, and here you are, promising to do just that. What is your story?"

Niko lets out a low whistle as he looks over the fantastically well-preserved works of art, taking his time to admire each and every one. He then looks to Leeayta and says with a jovial laugh, "Before we proceed with telling you our plan, let me first congratulate you on having such a marvelous collection here. I feel as though I could get lost in this place for a century and still have some new fascination to explore."

"You flatter me, Noble Exalt, but thank you. You are the first to see these works in over a thousand years. There is much history stored here, someday I wish to share it with my people to tell them of their heritage."

Nikola nods, stroking his chin and saying, "It would give me no greater honor than to help you to further that goal. I wish for nothing more than to re-enlighten the Dragon Kings of this place, and to rebuild the city around them to reflect the glorious past we once shared. To that end, I am more than willing to give the full extent of my power."

"If that is true, then I will be your staunch ally. I have longed for the day that both the city and my chosen people are restored to their former glory. I can speak with L'ron and ease his suspicions, but if you truly wish to have the help of the Dragon Kings, there is something that you must do. There were several Elders that went into stasis during the fall of the Deliberative. They were supposed to reawaken a short time later, but for some reason, they did not and they slumber to this day. I cannot reawaken them myself; the chambers that they are in have been warded to prevent spirits from entering. But you can go where I cannot. By going in, you can revive them, and with their skills and knowledge, begin the process of bringing more of the Dragon Kings to Awareness. Will you do this task for me, and gain my support in restoring the city?"

Araneus stifles the need to laugh, almost dejectedly at the words that come from Leeayta's mouth. He settles into one of the seats comfortably, and then grins at the others before looking back to her. "Well, that won't be necessary. You see, we've just woken up."

She raises an eyebrow. "Indeed? I had heard rumors that there were Exalts hidden away . . . That is actually quite humerous. But you were not the ones I was referring to. There are four Dragon King Elders that I wish restored to me, masters in various Paths of Prehuman Mastery, and with their aid, I can begin to accelerate the process of Awakening the hatchlings that live in the city."

"Just, for the record," Nikola interjects, "I am more than capable of setting that process into motion myself. I posses the talents necessary to quell the wild nature of your kin and bring out their enlightened brilliance. While I may not posses all of the knowledge of the Elders sealed below, I could certainly serve as a good starting point, so that they may assist us in freeing them."

Leeayta looks over at Nikola. "Interesting offer, and one that I will be willing to accept. But I still would like the Sleepers brought back. They would be invaluable in helping to bring the city's infrastructure back on line."

"We could use a little time to rest, but do you have any ideas as to where they might be under the city?" Araneus stretches out and scratches the glowing caste mark on his forehead.

Zen looks around him, taking in the surroundings before turning to Leeatya, "Do you happen to have any weapons we can give to the Dragon Kings? I was only able to obtain a few artifact weapons without raising suspicions as well as around 50 mundane weapons of high quality. I can store them away fairly easily and we are going to need as much as we can get."

She waves her hand in the air and a three dimensional map of the city's Underways become visible. You immediately notice that there are four spaces that are greyed out with no details to them. One of the places you recognize; it is the place where your own stasis chambers are located. One of the places besides your little complex is huge. It is easily several miles long and a half mile wide and as large as that tall. "There are places in the Underways where I am unable to access due to the power of the wards against spirits. Inside one of these four places are the four Dragon Kings are hidden. Once the four of them have been brought here, I can help to provide some weapons for my children, and some of these are made of the golden metal of the Solar Exalted, a material that the Dragon Kings can attune to with their Essence. I do not, however, have enough to equip all the hatchlings that live in the city. There are just too many young ones for all of them."

Nikola nods, studying the map and saying, "An impressive amount of space to search, to be sure. Tell me, do you have any raw metals here?"

Leeayta smiles. "Of course. Vast stores of Magical Materials that can be made available to you once you find my Sleeping children. Not to mention the arsenal in the Pyramid of the Sun that is currently being held by the mad Solar, Filial Wisdom. Those I cannot promise to you until you capture the Pyramid from him and his ilk."

The Craftsman chuckles, "I'm sure he will not pose much threat. Now, do you have any idea as to which of the sealed areas the Elders are in?"
