Dreams of the Second Age - Additional IC

Aredin cocked his head in exaggerated confusion, "Since when did the Sidereals steal Eclipse immunity? Your brethrens crimes are most heinous indeed!" he commented with a chuckle.

"It's one thing to have unspoken immunity, it's another to work side by side with them day in and day out. Regardless of corruption, that still should hold at least some standing. But then who knows, it's been fifteen hundred years. We could all have a god's spear at our throats for even trying to talk to them."

He looks up at the towers again, and then looks back to everyone with all the transportation. "So who's driving?"

"Even if I were concerned of the gods themselves attacking us, I'm sure Olivia could speak volumes on how coworker relationships inspire a non-hostile and safe environment." Aredin then looked back to his orb, "That aside, looks like myself and Niko are driving."

Chuckles, taking a moment to appreciate the dark humor as he slips on his Hand of the Great Maker and testing the joints as he says, "I am thinking so, though I could always make a driver...if we needed one desperately."

Pyter shades his eyes as he looks up at the top of the Tower. "Once we get to the top, we shouldn't have too much trouble getting Relza's attention. All we'll have to do is start to look over whatever airships that are on the landing pads and she should materialize. I only wonder what those flying things are up there, and if they may pose a threat to us. Anyways, lets get moving."

Zen frowns as he attempts to analyze the things far above them, the distance doing nothing to obstruct or cloud his visual examination.

Looks up to the winged beasts as well, taking a moment and using his extensive biological knowledge as a master of Craft Genesis to carefully observe their form and attempt to identify what manner of creatures they are.

With a careful look and your knowledge of biology helping out, you believe that the flying forms are Pteroks, the winged breed of Dragon Kings. They must have a nest of them up there.

"Pteroks are circling above us," Zen noted idly, "Going up to the tower there would no doubt attract their attention. I am confident I can either sway them to our side or eliminate them if necessary. But in doing so we will lose our anonymity. It is not wise to attract Filial Wisdom's attention right here and now."

Chuckles, "I have had several meetings with the Dragon Kings. I think our diplomatic immunity should be more than sufficient"

Pyter looks up at the Dragon Kings. "It is unlikely that there will be so many Awakened Dragon Kings in one spot like that. Most likely they are going to be wild and dangerous, and attack what they consider food intruding on their nesting grounds."

"We'll have to risk it, unless we want to try going to the further out tower. But that will risk them seeing us, as well. I do not have a way to hide us all."

Araneus puts a hand over his eyes and squints to try and get a better look at the creatures, but has little luck short of knowing what they are.

Rine looked at the Eyeless Minions he had conjured, an idea coming to him. "We could use these creatures as a distraction to attract the Pteroks while we slip by." He offered.

"That would be a good first step in getting the city back. The Dragon Kings are quite famous for their ferocity and loyalty to the Unconquered Sun. A small army of them armed with First Age weapons could take on a much larger force and be victorious."

"Rine's idea holds merit. There is also a fourth option as well," Zen looked towards his circle. "If I engage them alone, I would be able to provide a distraction. I would reveal myself in the process, but I should be able to pass myself off as a lone Solar rather than a full circle of Exalts. I would prefer not to so, since it is not a stretch of logic to reason that there is more than one if I appear, but the option is still available."

"Although I am worried someone might recognize those creatures as well. Minions of the Eyeless face are somewhat well-known to most practitioners of Sorcery. Alternatively, Araneus could sneak in by herself to contact Relza undetected while the rest of us search the far tower. If she runs into any enlightened Dragon-Kings then it will help us greatly. If they are awakened and willing to listen, I should be able to train them into a mighty army in a matter of days or weeks."

"Either that, or we could try to approach Leeayta. Her main temple is not that far from here."

"The Eyeless Minions might be recognizable to sorcerers, but not Dragon Kings who have been living in squalor for the past century." Rine said with a smile. "We risk nothing by sacrificing a Minion as a distraction, and we risk our presence becoming known if we were to engage them more directly."

"Agreed, the Minions are probably the best option. Leeatya seems like a good option as well. Even though she may ask for something in return, we are going to have to get her help eventually. No sense in putting it off. She might, no, she WILL know where the awakened Dragon-Kings are as well as vouch for us, a boon when it comes to negotiating with the Dragon-Kings. Trust is not easily won."

"Relza is still the best first option, but minions are definitely our best bet. I am not as versed in operating travel devices, it would not be prudent for me to go alone for this task, at least not yet."

He looks out into the distance, making sure nothing is coming at them as they sit idly and discuss options.

Zen appears to be in thought, "I still think going to Leeatya will be more worth our time than negotiating with Relza. But I suppose if nothing else, getting one of the god's help will allow us to get the others assistance. Let us go. Rine, if you would do the honors?"

"But of course." The sorcerer nodded, and sent one of the Minions out in to the open to act as a distraction for the rest of the party.

For the first minute or two that the Minion is out from cover, nothing happens. Then, two of the Pterok come flying down and begin to circle overhead. A matter of moments after that, a group of four Raptok leap out of hiding and descend upon the Minion. The four Dragon Kings are all wearing scraps of clothing, and two of them have improvised clubs in hand. There are still four or five Pterok up at the top of the Flying Tower that you can see flying about.

Do you continue with the plan to launch yourselves up to the top of the Tower?

Chuckles, smiling fondly and saying, "Ahh, what a sight to see nature at work. If only I had the time to spend on them...Such wonders I would make..." He then looks to the rest of the Circle and says, "So, going up, then?"
