I know. But it was cool enough that I wanted to keep it around. If you go SS and then go Great Ape, shouldn't it be that the ape carries the SS power over? Seems to make sense enough to me.
The SS4 was a bit of a stretch, concentrating powers higher just to achieve a half-humanoid half ape-like form. Doesn't make much sense to me so I decided to toss it. The GGA makes more sense from a natural perspective. The SS4, not so much.
Well, whatever floats your boat I guess.

I think so. For now it's a 1x1 RP. I'll see if I can't recruit some others who'll stick around.
AAAAAH. I prefer group RP. I guess 1v1 leaves less people to wait on though.

It does, but I am bumping the Interest Check thread for this RP so hopefully we'll get some new people in soon. Since we just started, they won't have missed much and can catch up easily enough with current events.

Indeed. Anyway, there's not much for me to do in IC since I'm not an Elite. I could have Karas react and then continue working on the ships, though. Does the mothership have any spare parts I could use, or any sort of fabrication and repair section?

The mothership will have all that he could need to repair the smaller vessels and then some. While they don't want to prioritize the maintenance of ships, they're not stupid. Being stranded out in space is a death sentence, and the Saiyans, while warriors first, are far from suicidal.

Anyway, I'll give those who have submitted characters but not posted until this upcoming Monday to post IC before I delete their characters from the Character Sign-Up page and the RP in general. One potential newcomer was somewhat confused as to who was still in the RP or not, so a cleansing is in order.

Who is this newcomer anyway?

Hello, I'm continuing making my character right now. Just going through everything, making sure my rough draft is okay and the making minor changes to finish it.

@Kyero, I have to ask, is Karas a permanent part of Raid Group 02A, is he getting transferred again, or is he going back to the PDC?

EDIT: By the way, I posted the start of Karas' path to power. 1) Am I allowed to do that and 2) Are the numbers realistic/acceptable?

If Karas was assigned to the Raid Group by someone other than Nei Likken who is Korvaiis' Raid Recruiter, then he will be returned to the PDC.

I will check the numbers, but you'll most likely be all right. Our first major battle is fast approaching, and will take place once Era and Sil recover. This Raid was the beginning of what will unlock their potential for greater power, hence the mysterious condition concerning their brainwave changes in my post. But despite their condition will receive no increase as of yet, but they will upon the first major battle coming up soon.

Also your numbers look fine.

Got the sheet out, feel free to tear it a new one to your pleasure.
I have only one detail which needs to be edited: "Mastering" any style by the age of 12 is literally impossible no matter how gifted the child might be.

If you say he mastered the basics to begin building the foundation to improve upon and adapt to his father's style, then that's acceptable. But mastering the style as a whole is just not realistic at age 12. So bump the age or say he mastered the basics instead of the entire style and I'm good.

I meant it was 20ish when he mastered the technique, but I can still change it to complete mastery of the basics if that's better?

As long as it's is clear that he mastered techniques and such in his 20's then I'm fine with however you adjust it.

And I have thrown my hat in finally. Itta has touched down on planet.

Great.

I will be posting a bit later. I am going to eat lunch and have one more class afterwards, but will be back to respond with Nei's Recruitment approach within the next few hours.

@Kyero

So if you control the passage of time, and you control Raid Group 02A's recruiter, I'm not sure what to do with Karas. I understand that I probably have time before Era and Sil recover to do my things, but I don't know what to do. How far into Era and Sil's recovery period is Itta's arrival, @Denezen?

With that out of the way, here's what I plan on having Karas do:

--> Spend 2 days healing from his injuries after getting a check-up from a doctor.

--> Get his ship back to prior performance and then some, adding a better powerplant, a better shield generator, a more powerful engines and some basic weapons systems (turrets and missiles) from an alien space station. I need you to decide how much it'll cost @Kyero.

--> Finally, talk to Nei (who you're controlling @Kyero IIRC) and see if he can't get transferred out of Raid Group 02A.

The problem is, while it is in-character for Karas to want to get transferred out of the Raid Group, I personally want to be able to fight alongside the players, and Raid Group 02A is where all the players are right now. What do you think @Kyero?

It doesn't matter to me how far into the recovery period Itta arrives, I'm perfectly fine with leaving that up to Kyreo. If Nei is the type the person who wants to get all the work done at one time, he might of set it up so both me and Genon end up talking to him at the same time.

Itta's arrival is the same time as is current for Korvaiis and everyone else after returning to Metahnn, which is basically immediately. We're still on Day 1 of our time back on Metahnn so Era and Sil are on Day 1 of recovery, as would Karas for his injuries.

As for Karas's involvement with the Raid Group, I have one or two ideas to throw around:

1) Karas is approached with an offer he can't refuse from Nei, involving the acquisition of funds to fuel his creative endeavors with the ships and play on his desire for a work environment where his creativity is respected rather than looked down upon.

2) Karas discovers that his current position is in a downward spiral, funding getting worse and interactions becoming more and more sour between him and anyone else involved in his kind of work creating an overly stressful working environment which drives him to pursue work in a quieter and more amiable field (which could tie right into the first option)

So those are my top two ideas. I don't imagine an intellectual like Karas would appreciate a stressful working environment in which he is pestered and distracted by negativity and bitchy behavior. So it's up to you how you'd like to proceed.

Era and Sil will be out for a total of 24 days IC, which I will not be skipping through altogether though I will skip through around 12 days very soon for another Raid. So be prepared for that.

Hm...I suppose that could work. As a combat engineer in a Dragon Ball AU, there aren't very many machines to protect or repair when battles are won in a day by sweaty, muscular men that shoot lasers from their hands. He might be able to hack something, salvage and turn enemy machinery or sabotage an invasion ship, but what's the point of that when everyone can blow up mountains by screaming? I don't think a gearhead like him would be very much appreciated until someone loses an arm, and even then there might be a "jock vs. nerd" dynamic going on between him and the rest of the men.

Perhaps, but tension and drama between players makes RP's interesting.

Yeah, I was specifically talking about how that might affect his time in the PDC.
