Has anyone successfully obtained the Cerimonial armored gloves? I love the look of that armor but never have been able to get a hold of the gloves myself. So just curious if others have gotten the rare drop.

I have gotten the full set once or twice. And it is a drop from some enemies in certain areas.

Nice. Yeah, it’s a rare loot drop in certain spots but despite reloading attempts I’ve never found them yet. Same possibility for certain chests or armor stands if I recall like the one loot box in Caridin’s cross.

Come to think of it- Today shall be the deadline for Robin. Leaving tomorrow with more time for posting if it’s possible for whoever goes next.
On another note was wondering if something curious as I start a human mage playthrough and continue my elven rogue (city elf) through the early stages of awakening. What if the Amell warden was the grey warden mage encountered one DA: 2 instead of Anders? (Pretty much takes them out of the hero of fereldan role.) But depending on the potential change of motives or character traits, it would be even more interesting and add even more drama and etc to the role of a warden mage companion in DA 2.

I have a character like that, (in one of the many da2 rps) but I feel it makes more sense if you have more than one hero.

Oh? Cool. I’ve been thinking about writing up such a character and see what their motives, backstory (fuller version then the game) and traits, etc would be and what kind of mage. It does make more sense to have more then one hero, the awesome or one of the awesome parts of those origins rps you had in the past.

Yea my character is bitter cause the circle wasn't saved (they didnt get back in time). Its also fun cause Amell is Hawkes cousin.

Nice! Sounds like a good story there. And yeah, being hawkes cousin is a big part of why I’m drawn to the idea. Going to develop the idea for such a character for the fun of it and see what I come up with. I do know that my amell would hate the right of tranquility and while he doesn’t hate the tranquil, he does act against anyone who supports the idea of tranquility and it’s use. He would also hate phylacteries and refer to them as leashes. But not much else yet, perhaps the combination of what they saw during the blight and at the circle tower upon his return coupled with other events that came afterward from awakening and etc will have a draining effect on his character that leads to drastic changes over time. A intolerance for blood magic despite having once studied it. A greater distrust of the Templar’s and a growing disbelief in the maker and his chantry. Years of oversight and disturbed interpretations of Andrastes teachings and the nature of how the darkspawn came to be, the black city and etc, adding to his growing chaotic tendencies for the greater good. Just to think aloud for a moment.

Hmm I just realized something depending on how things go and how much Sene can keep her magic a secret it will be odd to justify her at ostagar, though that could be as easy as her following her lord even if his Nobel status might be vauge. The harder part is if all characters do the joining her inclusion there. Well we will see what happens if anything she can ask to be trained with a sword some so she can appear to have some basics lol.

I think you’ve misinterpreted the plot of this rp. The idea of this plot is exploring what would have happened if the Cousland never left to become a warden and fled to Ostagar with Duncan. But instead remained to defend their home til the potential bitter end. Part 2 will explore outside of highever depending on what happens during part 1 and how successful or disastrous things went for the group. But becoming grey wardens with these particular characters and being at Ostagar wouldn’t be possible given the timing of events and etc.

Oh right neat makes it far simpler to keep up the act for Sene then I am guessing some other background will be the warden in the background. Though unless we get like a backup army I dont honestly think the estate can hold wasnt everyone there slaughtered to a man in like an afternoon?

The wardens are in progress for what backgrounds will be used and how they shall play in this rp. That’s kinda the whole point of the plot and why the timeline is set a couple of weeks before the actual night of betrayal we see in the game. It’s odd how easy it was for Howe to pull it off without being suspicious seeming to others his manner wasn’t exactly trusting and normal imo. His two guards also added to that if you spoke with the one.
The idea of this rp is bending that plot line and giving the group a chance if a small one to better combat the treachery and death, they might be outnumbered if merely using the numbers of a handful of guard, yes. But they are inside a defensible castle with additional means of defense if using other tactics. Potential for recruiting more guards, Zeddicus wanting or will be wanting to arm the elves and give them a chance to defend themselves as well as highever will come into play. Each potential outcome or failure of desired outcome will play a part in determining the future of this rp and how each next part will start and where.

Well we will see with any luck Sene can get through unharmed with her secrets safe lol. She will likely try to play a none combatant role and be a nurse to tend the wounded.

Yeah haha. If Zeddicus discovers she has magic, he’ll certainly wish she’d use it for the aid of highever though aiding the wounded will be a welcomed aid.

It shall be quite interesting for certain. Yes! Gotta love the drama there and especially if the Amell warden is a more womanly mage lol. Less that ends after the circle tower... I can’t recall how a female mage warden plays out when referenced during DA 2 and after the tower return. Am thinking on some of those ideas we discussed and using the Amell warden as the background for the hero of fereldan role.
Grey Wardens summary:
Daveth Replacement- A grey warden who survived Ostagar and is said to be a chasind barbarian. The skills, tricks, tracking and rogue abilities learned from her tribe. They call her Davina, a dark haired and wild looking woman who’s quick with her blade as she is with her hands, a deft touch for certain. Rumored to also have some skill with a bow- a marksman for the wardens.
Ser Jory Replacement- A warrior from Rainesfere in the Redcliffe bannorn who served Bann Teagan though never became a knight. His name is Lukas. He’s a exiled soldier and former prisoner who took the blame for a deed he did not commit or so would be his claim. The reason and personal motivations however remain hidden from all but himself and perhaps the one he’s protecting. A strong warrior and while young has the potential to make a fine grey warden. He’s loyal, dutiful and no slouch with that giant hammer of his...
Hero of Fereldan Warden- A human mage from the circle of magi... He’s an Amell, a name that means more in the free marches I hear. Said to have impressed the late warden commander of the grey despite for being one so young and just out of apprenticeship. Served the circle well by acting in deception of his friend and friends lover by aiding them in their quest, later becoming a grey warden and talented mage.

This particular plot will be 3 somewhat short arcs that end in a epilogue for the respective characters and impact on the world around them. Afterwards I’m going or desiring to create another rp that will succeed this one. Which could either take place in Awakenings timeline or later with a new cast. (Funnily enough depending on the outcomes of this one, it could land Zeddicus as the new arl of Amaranthine while Fergus leads highever. Lol. After the wardens reign any how. )
