Gonna post in a little bit, I was busy with chores. Give me like an hour. Also just so I'm aware, could Viska later on be able to blind people by taking away the light from their eyes? You know make it so that their eyes cannot absorb light are just kinda block off any flow of light to their eyes? It's not permanent and she can't use that forever when in a fight. Like maybe a couple turns of combat.

Also how exactly are we doing combat in this Rp? We just gonna describe it like without any rolls or are we gonna do it with rolls? Just curious. ChoShadow

Combat in this RP is going to be played out like normal IC posting. No dice rolls or anything. I'll place a certain number of enemies in the scene and describe what they look like, how powerful they are, what dangers they pose, and what could potentially be done to defeat them in the narrative text. You can use that to pick out one or two of them at a time and just write out the battle to your hearts content.

Thanks for the advice on it - I didn't want to make Farnhel a sob story, simply a child who wasn't fitting in very well and made the rash choices as she grew older that led to running away. I wasn't sure on how the dragons would socially interact as there wasn't much information provided, thank you for the update. I'll change her characterisation now.

I have read your character profile, and I would like to point out that Jee seems to have a rather glaring inconsistency about her in the final paragraph of her biography. Given her rather arrogant and self-righteous personality, it doesn't really follow that she would hear of the Dragon's plight and be sympathetic. She doesn't strike me as that kind of woman to care about the misfortune of anyone outside her own family.

If you can explain to me why she sympathizes with the Dragon's plight, then I will accept the character. But I will need a pretty good explanation as to how it is that she could be so sympathetic to them as to not be able to turn a blind eyes when she doesn't seem to care that much about anyone except her family or herself.

IC has opened, yes. Myself, Archdemon, and The Fabulous Emerald have gotten started already and we're about to kick things into a higher gear. So now's the perfect time to join in the fun.

I will accept that explanation, so you're free to hop on board. Just please be sure to read what's happened already IC, and try to make sure that whatever your character does is careful because my character, Elena, has made going near herself and the others rather dangerous.

I also tend to let myself take ages to join in, so if I'm somewhere near the other characters (In a forest-y location so it makes sense for my character) I'd appreciate it, as it'd force my lazy rump to interact with people.

There is a forest just South of the group's current location. I explain where they are in the opening post at the bottom where I tagged Archdemon and The Fabulous Emerald. We're on the South/Central continent (the one connected to the two desert-like ones) at the Northern Coastline. The forest is just South of them, maybe about a mile away at most.

Your character is a Dragon, even if she is more feathery than scaly, so like Elena (a High Elf) she will have a very strong connection to the balance of malign and benign magical power. That and she will be able to sense one of her kin approaching the area pursued by dark forces.

Elena is currently warming up her voice to use her Seid Magic, and she's letting off a lot of power which will also serve as a homing beacon for your character. Elena hasn't a malignant bone in her body, so it's likely your character will be able to sense she's not there to help the darkness, but instead is preparing to battle it.

Either the desire to help save her kin or the desire to protect Elena from the approaching darkness may spur your character to leave the forest and get a closer look as there are still some trees scattered about the area just off the beach from where they are.

Hey there.

I just saw and read through your character profile, and most of it is good. There's just one thing in it that has to change, and that's the idea of combining magics together.

In this RP world, it just doesn't work. Magic, in its various forms, are singular identities all their own which cannot be combined with one another. Used side by side, yes. But combined, no. Those plasma bolts you mentioned? Well, lightning already is plasma. So that's kind of redundant. Know what I mean?

So if you adjust the profile to remove the combination of magics with one another, then you're good to go.

Rii can still use different forms of magic in rapid succession making it seem like he's combined them, but actual combination of magic just won't fly.

One final caveat to the teleportation spell thing is that it is indeed possible and I will be adding it to the "Magics" thread very soon to make it official, but that is one of the most taxing forms of magic to use, even for Dragons. One teleportation will be enough to wind Rii, and two will drop him to his knees in exhaustion. So long as that level of strain with respect to that form of magic's use is adhered to, it's all good.

I read the post and one thing popped up which created a moment of confusion for me. You began by describing his human form at the top, but then called him a dragon multiple times in succession: ""Hey!" Shouted the dragon in the most curtious and non threatening voice a subliminally bloodthirsty dragon could pull off..."

Normally that's fine, but unless he wants to channel the voice of his dragon form he's going to speak in a normal humanoid voice so it wouldn't really come off as bloodthirsty or draconic. I ended up re-reading the post to make sure I didn't miss a transformation which I thought for a moment had occurred. I'm a very literal person so this kind of mixing of nouns can easily confuse me.

So while he's in human form you can just refer to him as "him" or "he". You don't need to worry about calling him a dragon.
