Diving Rising - IC

Broken. Broken!

Her arm was never broken before, her genius design protected it from almost every attack possible. It was impervious to bullets, swords and other strange kitchen equipment people were using to fight. But no, of course she had to tag along with a group of maniacs who were fighting things which destroyed even HER perfect design. Just her luck, surely. But if that really was the case... then why on earth did she move exactly where they were supposed to meet? Why didn't she just steal the purse of that wealthy buffoon and just dart away? Now she had a semi-malfunctioning arm and no money whatsoever. And someone had to answer for this...

These were the thoughts which raced in the mind of Fish. She was still angry as she moved quickly in the twilight towards the meeting place. She had a cloak conceal her still twitching steam powered arm as she strode towards her destination as an angry elephant would do. Or at least she thought she was, she had never seen an elephant personally. Still, she went fast and furious and slowly she had managed to spot the people there. It appeared some had already made an appearance, she vaguely grasped the figures of two familiar - though not friendly - individuals inside but then she noticed the Egyptian guy and the bodyguard of the wealthy noble. For a moment she did pause as she did not know where his master could be... but then anger bested her caution. With disregard to any etiquette she barged in.

" Oy, Sandworm, Russia! " she spoke with an aggravated tone as she tried to slip in, her eyes running around rapidly, trying to find the guy called Tobias " I know that I am probably the last face you want to see around a noble gettogether-whatever-is-good-in-this-party. But I ain't gonna apologize for the intrusion, got it? I came on my own volition and not for getting friends or to learn history of ancient, sand ridden or frozen cultures - no offense, Sandworm. " she said, looking at Harameti before turning back to the russian bodyguard. " I didn't choose your company and neither did you choose mine! It was all an accident, a one time mistake. "

She sighed. There she went again, being abrasive. Her harsh featured softened a little and after taking a deep breath she continued.

" Look, we didn't have the best introduction and nor do I want to linger here longer than necessary. I merely want to meet with your Moneybag of yours and... "

She paused a little. It appeared that the dismayed look of the russian bodyguard was genuine, not a mask of intimidation. Fish furrowed her brows and put her one good arm on her hip.

" What's wrong, Russia? I know that look all to well - hell, I invented it. Where is your master? Isn't a noble supposed to be always punctual or something? "

Ophelia straightened her clothes as stepped out of the carriage. The determined look on her face was suddenly replaced by a child-like excitement, and she bounded to the door. Father will have a hard time saying no to this story, I think.

She had thought right. Ophelia framed it as a educational trip for young people, with a perfectly respectable number of chaperones of course, to the wondrous corners of the world, to learn about all the new gadgets that were being invented. Of course, those gadgets meant investments that could be made, and the expansion that they were both hungry for. He very, very reluctantly agreed, and her maids started to help her pack at once. Ophelia ended up sending them away; if this morning had been any indication, she would have no use for the fashions they wished to send her with. In fact.. she may be forced to buy new clothing entirely, since dresses of any kind were not conducive to physical fights. With this in mind, her luggage became considerably lighter, fitting inside a single case.

With a kiss on her father's wet cheek (she hated when he cried so, but what could be done?), Ophelia returned to her carriage and urged the driver to hurry. She was running late.

In front of the mirror hall, the gathering group was hidden in the rush of people trying to enter. She wove through, noting the people already present. Harmerti, the interesting man from before, was speaking to the gruff bodyguard of the Fairfax, who was no where in sight. One of the rougher of the group, the one with the shadows, seemed to be getting acquainted with the other woman, Olivia.

As Ophelia approached Nikolai, she said, "I'm glad to see that I am not the only, or the last." She glanced around pointedly, "Where is our gracious host?"

Moddy watched from afar as the others started to make their way into the group of sorts. No sign of the money bags guy who went by Tobias. He made a spitting sound at the thought. Just like crummy rich folk to flake on their own invitation. I knew this was going to be a hoax. He was about to leave when a sizable hit from an unknown force kicked him right into the group. OOOOOOH no you don't, Kiddo. You're in my ring now! He annoying voice echoed in his mind once again. He was getting his hopes up it wouldn't make another appearance. Moddy landed on his back, right before the group of people. He stared up with dead eyes. He couldn't believe he was the only one visibly having trouble with this. Sure, Alex had some crazy shadow stuff coming from him. That's it though. There was nothing else as far as Moddy was aware.

Oh... So nice of me to drop by.. He said sarcastically. Whatever, when are we leaving? Where is Rich guy? Did he forget about his bodyguard? Unimpressed, he propped himself up. Not like I even expected him to hold his word about traveling. Typical wealth. He said rolling his eyes.

Slipping the valuable into a more hidden spot of his coat Alex's eye dashed to the voice that was speaking to him.  He didn't answer right away as he tried to remember where he had seen this woman from.  Though really it only took a second to remember she was one of the others from group...the one with the decent aim.  He listened to her introduction and smirked at her.  "The party is a borefest like most, if it weren't for the accommodations like food and etc I would never dream of attending something so dull.  All in all...for the time being I think I am enjoying myself.  As for the names, it was going to be my initial attention to call you Oliva...but now you told me not to shorten it."  A smirk graced his lips at this.  "So Oli, if you wish to know my name I guess I can kindly grace your average ears with them."  He said before giving her an half arse bow one that was more mocking than anything.  "Drake, you can refer to me as many ways as you wish matters little to me."   He didn't intend to give anyone his real name for the time being, as in truth he didn't know how he felt about all of this.  So gracing unknowns with his true name felt like he was handing out some trust he wasn't willing to give up.  If they were dealing with magic and the like he had read that names were powerful things, if that implied in this...quest?  Then he sure has hell was going to be careful, last thing he wanted was some damned curse on him.

It was at this time Moddy decided to grace his presence to those around.  Now looking at him Alex didn't bother to help the other up, seemed like he had it.  "I don't know the answers to any of those questions.... Its odd, last thing you want to do is be late for a job that seems to have such a great affect on all our lives.  He could be lost or......."  At this Alex stopped in his sentence as he went quiet for a bit.  "He doesn't have his body guard huh?  Well then, unless he's a fighter, I wouldn't be shocked if he got mugged on the way over here.  Sure he had something any sod would want in their clutches~"

Olivia had, at first, been willing to be somewhat amicable to this Drake. She hadn't been a fan on parties either, and she had hoped his attitude would be a bit less apathetic, constituting in a hope that they would be able to get along, especially considering they would be stuck in a position where arguing and disagreements would have to be kept at a minimum. First impressions soon went against this idea: first the robbery was hardly something she could condone, but not something she could mention. Clearly he was someone that would be important to this whole endeavour; to have him locked away before they were supposed to go and find this place in Norway would hardly be productive. Second would be that smirk that seemed to be constantly on his face when he talked to her, as well as his mocking bow. Third was his intention to call her Oli. Olivia made a mental note: he was certainly not someone she wanted to be around.

Before she could respond, the young boy had stumbled in to view. Olivia's attention had turned only momentarily towards him, before she listened to Drake answer his questions.

Olivia was worried: where was Tobias? He wasn't in here, Drake hadn't seen him nor had the boy. Excusing herself, Olivia curtsied and started making her way back to the entrance; maybe Nikolai had seen him?

"No sign of your employer?"

Then she noticed the other three with him. She turned and bowed her head, "My apologies if you were in the middle of a conversation; didn't I see you all earlier?"

She paused for a moment before she continued, "I should introduce myself; again, my apologies: I'm not exactly suited for these formal events. My name is Olivia, it's a pleasure to make your acquaintances."

Tobias sat with his back against that wall, contemplating what he was going to do next, and trying to think of what they could possibly want with him. He fiddled with the nib of the pen, placing a finger to its tip and recoiling as cold, black ink stained it. He turned the thing over, it didn't have a well, or any place ink could be stored, but as he pressed it against the stone wall ink flowed freely from the split point. Frowning he thought for a moment, then proceeded to write.

'Help, they are holding me against my will and with no right to do so, I fear they have been turned'. Then he drew back and read it over, putting the pen down once more to finish:

'Tobias Fairfax'.

Not that anyone would see it until they had done whatever it was they were planning to do to him. It wasn't an escape plan. But as he sat back once more a feeling of calm washed over him, as if he had put the cogs of something in motion.

Nikolai looked down as the young urchin from that morning strutted up to them and began her usual insulting manner. When she told Harameti 'no offense' Nikolai gave a loud laugh.

"Rebenok, everything out of your mouth is offensive."

He left it alone when she mentioned Tobias and turned to Ophelia, his worry apparent. "He is late...it is not good."

He gave the young boy Mody a gruff 'humph'. "Lord Tobias is never late, and he always honors agreements. Zis is why his absence concerns me."

Nikolai shook his head at Alex, for once trying to ignore the boy's rude manner. "He was with police. Unless zey mugged him I don't think so."

When Olivia introduced herself Nikolai bowed politely.

"Nikolai Konovalov, at your service." He was about to straighten when something caught his eye, a small pool of ink was growing on the wall. Nikolai swore at the pool grew bigger and spread and...began to form words. It was Tobias' message, and at the bottom it was signed. That was all Nikolai needed.

"We leave now. To the police station. Zey have him."

He dashed down the steps and hailed three carriages. "I do not ask you to come with me, but if these creatures are inside the police force...I may need help."

@Peaceswore @Baconhands @Yahaga @DawnAntalios @Flutterby @crucialstar @Bolts @andujarprime

Harmerti stared at the appearing ink for a second before blinking his way back into reality. Assuming Tobias is Nikolai's master considering his reaction, is this his power? To graffiti on walls from an extreme distance? If so, it's quite impressive. Upon hearing Nikolai say he may need help, Harmerti thought quickly about this. He would normally volunteer to help, but he has an issue himself. He had brought his falcon here expecting a quick second meeting before leaving to wherever they intended on going first. Now that this second get together has suddenly turned into what seems to be a search and rescue, it'll be a little awkward keeping a falcon harnessed on a nearby tree for an extended period of time. People might find it and try to release or play with it. It's far too dangerous to keep it alone for that long. Now to share the info with the others. "Nikolai, I heard your name was, I would help, but I too have an issue. I brought my...uh...hunting partner... here with me. I can't leave him here while I go with you. If you allow me to take him, I'm sure I can make him useful." He turned to the others, "If he can't come, one of you will have to watch him. He's quite...flighty." he paused for a second before silently chuckling to himself and saying, "and he bites." Once again, he paused to chuckle to himself. "It's a bird, by the way."

Moddy crossed his arms and gave Nikolai a scowling expression. Either way, the Tobias guy should have been here. Sure, whatever you say. He said sarcastically. He was nearly fed up being here now. What was the point if they weren't going to leave right away? Moddy scrunched his eye brows when hearing Tobias was at the police station. He looked to where the others were looking just a moment ago and saw the ink as well. He looked back to Nikolai then to Harmerti. He couldn't believe these adults. Was a pool of ink on a wall enough to prove that Tobias was the writer? You can't be serious.... He said dead pan. I know right? For a bunch of wealthier people, they really don't plan ahead. Moddy's eye twitched at hearing the voice in his head again. Really, a pool of ink is enough to tell you it's from your master? There is no way it can be from the shadow freak from earlier? He couldn't believe he was the one to point that out. Something about it did intrigue him though. You know what? I'll go. Even if it is a trap, I at least get to wreak a few things at the station. THAT A BOY!  The voice cackled. Moddy knew this would probably be a bad idea over all, but he couldn't pass up a free invitation to break some of the law's stuff. It's only fair after all they had done to him and his crew.

As Analette slipped through the crowd, a small smile graced her lips as she remembered being told that because she spoke her mind, it was something to respect. Respect? What an odd word, something she wasn't used to hearing or receiving. Perhaps words like harlot and a disgrace was what she was used to by passersby or woman filled with outrage of jealousy. Nevertheless, Analette concluded that she should just accept the respect given to her, though, she felt as if she wasn't entitled to such opinions and praise. The Russian male was a peculiar one, though, if anything, what happened to her along with those that were trapped in the room with her was such craziness that the Russian male was the least of her problems. Once Analette saw the all-too familiar silhouette of her families' wagon, a playful smile appeared on her lips as she waited to be scolded by her nagging Mother and her silent Father. But, the person who found her first was none other than, Grandmother. "Child, where have you been? We have only been here for an hour at the most and you go and run off again?" Her Grandmother slightly scolded, her glare never wavering, though Analette never shied away from her Grandmother's stare. Instead, she smiled softly, shaking her head, before pulling her Grandmother into a hug, "Forgive me, Grandmother, although I do feel Mother's stare directed towards me at my back, there are far graver things to speak about." Her eyes never wavering though a storm seemed to be brewing behind the warm, chocolate brown eyes. Sensing the omnity in the air, her Grandmother merely nodded before she and her Grandmother went inside their wagon, leaving behind Analette's Mother and Father to the business. Once Analette was settled inside the wagon, she took a deep breathe, "Although things are never as it seems, I never would have imagined seeing something along the lines of a god before my eyes, Grandmother." At those words, her Grandmother narrowed her eyes before placing a hand over Analette's. "Child, that means you are part of something far more greater than the Eye can see. Do not be afraid and take it in good measure. You have a purpose, as you had always been gifted with Sight." At those words, Analette felt a calming sensation rush through her as she always felt whenever her Grandmother soothed her mind. "But, Grandmother, have you ever felt so . . . out of the loop that you do not know how to respond? We have been gifted with the gift of Sight, but if I can not see what has happened, how can I be of help?" A small smile appeared on Grandmother's face as she clicked her tongue, "I did not raise you to be a woman of indecisiveness. I raised you to be strong and one who does not need to rely on such gifts to See, there are other ways to be of help, Child." Nodding, Analette sighed as she saw her Grandmother walking out of the wagon, leaving her be to think on her thoughts. Nevertheless, she felt her nerves skyrocketing knowing she would be away from her family, though, it wasn't the first time she disappeared. Shaking her head, not wanting to relieve those memories, Analette took out a pen and paper and wrote a letter to her family. Analette felt compelled to go on the journey that had been offered, she was needed, and something was pulling her towards the places on the map, as if it was telling her something was coming.

Soon enough, Analette prepared her items that she would need for the journey and soon snuck out of the wagon. With one last look at her family's faces, Analette caught a glimpse of her Grandmother's knowing eyes as she nodded towards her, giving her the affirmation that she knew Analette had to leave them for the time being. As Analette wistfully made her way through the crowd to get to the her appointed destination at the time of the meeting, she noticed familiar silhouettes of the family she recognized from the prior incident. However, it seemed she came at the right time, because soon enough, she saw ink appearing on the wall of an S.O.S. Narrowing her eyes, Analette wondered if this was another ability that she had yet to see form from another being. It was truly magnificent, but before she could look any further, she bit her lips at the idea of heading to the police station. She wouldn't be caught dead heading there, as much as she liked to be of use to help the nobleman who was taken, she didn't want to be caught dead with the police, especially with chances that she would be thrown in jail too. She was glad to see the woman she had saved there along with most of them arriving earlier than she. It was better to be late than never show, right? However, at the mention of a hunting partner that was a bird, Analette raised a brow before turning towards the olive-skinned male," Is your partner a hawk, perhaps? I would not mind staying behind to take care of him. I would rather not show face to a officer, even more so to one that is corrupted." Analette spoke to the olive-skinned male before turning towards Nikolai, "If I could be of any help, I would suggest to not boldly enter the domains of the enemies that is holding your Master captive. If he truly went against his will, they may have drugged him without him knowing, perhaps a sleeping spell, such as candle scents or something of the likes. It is best to be equipped and prepared, just in case, like small weapons such as daggers, knives, or the latter. Make sure they are unseen by those guards, knowing they may act like officers but are far from it." Looking over towards the younger male and then the "fake" nobleman, a small smile appeared on her lips, "However, I think it will be quite easy for you to infiltrate the station if you have the help of two professional thieves, yes? Wrecking the station sounds very intriguing, but I would rather not get my hands dirty unless need be."

Ophelia noted that the others had noticed Tobias's absence and seemed equally unsettled by it. Even the offensive girl, with the mechanical arm, had noticed and asked Nikolai about it. The put-together woman, the one who had picked up a gun during the earlier situation, approached, also wondering about Tobias, and introduced herself.

Ophelia gave the proper little curtsy and smiled pleasantly. "Ophelia. Well met, Miss Olivia." She said, falling silent quickly when Nikolai spoke up. She frowned, and followed his gaze when it suddenly wandered away. A black pool was spreading across the wall.. and then it formed words, a plea for help, signed by none other than their Tobias.

Ophelia watched him dash down the steps, taking a step back out of habit. And then, suddenly, she remembered that there was a sleeping god or goddess inside of her, and that she should be helping him. With that in mind, and a mild scowl on her face, Ophelia started toward the hailed carriages, bracing herself for what might happen next.

Fish was beginning to find this situation unsettling. Not only because it was now apparent that their host was absent... she was aggravated to see that the bunch of weird people from earlier had all made their way here. Of course, just her luck... find one lunatic and a bunch of them will appear. Just great... but she guessed it could not be helped, enduring unwanted people was nothing new to her... but then she noticed something strange happening just as Nikolai stopped speaking.

" For the love of... " she began as she saw the ink manifesting. It was strange but honestly after all she saw she did not get too shocked from the spectacle. Instead she just sighed, folding her arms together.

" Here we go again, more 'tricks'. To be fair this is a handy one at least. "

It was mentioned that the russian gorilla wanted company to rescue his master... something Fish detested at first. To be fair she detested everything at first that she did not propose herself but she was willing to listen to reason. And his time it was about rescuing a noble. Rescuing. Noble.

She was no fool. She knew exactly what a wealthy man can do in return for help. She loathed the idea to work with other nobles but it could not be helped. Yes... she would obey.

Listening to the others she did not intervene. The Sandworm's bird at least was intriguing, the boasting of the little guy was funny and the gipsy girl... well she seemed to be going along with the flow. The other nobles just looked at her with venomous looks and she returned the favor. She made a horrible entrance and she wanted to keep it that way.

" Well then, Russia, let's go. " she frowned finally " If your little nobleling needs help then we can not waste too much time. His tea might gets cold. "

Nikolai looked down at Harmeti. "Keep its jesses on and keep it avay from me, zen we have no problem."

he turned to give Moddy a withering glare. he had had about enough of little children mouthing off.

"I don't give ass of rat if it is a trap. Tobias is in danger. I vill be going, but if you are coming zen I vant you to be careful." there was an uncharacteristic tone of concern in his voice as he looked down at the young boy.

He listened to the gypsy carefully. "I tink you are right. Breaking into police station iz not my...usual task. I vould velcome ze help of our thief companions." here he gave a quick glance at Fish and Moddy and scanned the area for Alex.

Once the team was organized and in the carriages Nikolai gave the order and the carriages moved off. The evening air was cool on his face as he looked out the window of the cab. The smell of fruit and fish and horse wafted to them as they made their way down the market street that sat just beyond Hyde Park.

The police station stood, somber and grey, slotted between two smaller buildings. Nikolai squeezed out of the cab, feeling the bx tilt under his weight as he was careful not to catch his sword hilt on the door frame. He waited for the others before speaking.

"So zen, vat is plan? Zis is not prison, ze cells will be weaker, and zere will be no guards...but if zere is zis crazy magic...I have no idea for zat."

Harmerti looked at Analette and grinned at her willingness to watch his falcon. "No, it's too small for a hawk. It's falcon." He took off his falconer glove and held it out for Analette to grab and wear if she'd like. "Now all I'm asking is to watch it, but if you wish to handle it, you'll need this. It's thick enough to protect your arm from its talons." He paused for a second before remembering the falcon had not been socialized to anyone, but him and his hunting company's chairman. "Uh. I don't know how long I'll be gone, but you shouldn't have to worry about feeding it. And... don't take off its hood. You can carry it when it's on as for all it knows, it'll be me handling it." Harmerti nodded at her and pointing away from the entrance of the Expo. At this distance it was very difficult to see the falcon, but if you moved closer, the bird would become more obvious, "He's tied up on a tree away from the main traffic of people. He's a little high up, but you should find him with no problem. And thank you for doing this."

He looked back over at Nikolai, "Looks like we have one less worry, Nikolai."

He smiled to himself at him welcoming the thieves. Harmerti respected their skills; though, didn't exactly like what they were normally used for. Still... it was a living for them, as leeching as it may be.

Harmerti made his way into the carriage, finding a seat closest to any outside opening he could find that wasn't already occupied. The carriage made him feel a little claustrophobic and any fresh air would help him from going insane. At the place where Harmerti used to live in Egypt, the closest he got to a carriage was sitting top of one with his old hunting caravan when they went to sell their catches. He never sat in one as he thought them always too small and too close to others. The fruity smell helped a little, but only a little.

When Nikolai started talking about plans, the first thing that came to mind was to be a distraction. There aren't that many Egyptians living in England, or at least any that Harmerti could see, so by simply being there, surely the guards would find him a bit distracting. "If you need me to be a distraction, I can be one."

Analette gently took the falconer glove from Harmerti, nodding at him. "The pleasure is all mine, honestly. It is not like I am not getting anything out of this, really." A sly smile appeared on her lips as she listened to his instructions and warnings of handling the falcon if she were to come in contact with him. "Do not take off his hood, wear the glove if I were to come in contact with him, and he is a little high up on a tree, away from traffic." She repeated, to herself mostly, but just for reminder. Placing the falconer glove on her arm, just for safety measures, Analette looked over outside the Exposition glassed window towards the trees. It was true she could not see the falcon, but he was out there. So, it wasn't a hawk like she thought, but a bigger species of bird: a falcon, to be exact, or rather, a hunting bird. She had heard about these hobbies that some nobleman may have had, but even more so when it was in a different country. Maybe she should see if she could have an animal partner, but trust needs to be built, wouldn't it? Trust and commitment was one thing she didn't have in common with others, so maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to rely on another animal and build that bond if she couldn't commit. If she had to admit, being abandon is one of the worst thing to happen to man or animal, so seeing the bond of the falcon and Harmerti was refreshing. As the group headed to the carriage, leaving her behind. Analette took a deep breathe, "Looks like it is just you and me now. I wonder what is your name? It would be nice to know." She spoke mostly to herself before heading out the exposition towards the trees.

Getting to the trees and spotting the falcon was no problem, however seeing the hood and the falcon'a head being covered made her wonder just how much he trusted the male. It always amazed her the connection of partners. She always worked with her family but even they told her it was survival of the fittest in the world. As she slowly glided on the grass to the tree, Analette took her time to get to the bird, keeping a watchful eye out for anyone who comes around who would want to harm him. At the same time, she hoped the wind wouldn't pick up so the hood would not fall, that wouldn't be a pleasant encounter. As Analette stood against the tree trunk, wistfully watching her surroundings as well as the falcon above her, Analette looked at the falconer glove as she inspected it, seeing how big and loose it was on her.

Olivia nodded curtly to Nikolai and Ophelia; the only two that introduced themselves to her. The auburn-haired girl cast a quick glance over the rest of them expectantly, but, after a couple of moments, her attention turned back to the task at hand: saving the Lord Fairfax. If he had been arrested by the police, Olivia wanted to know exactly why; if they weren't the police, like Olivia expected them to be, then she wanted to know exactly what they were and, again, why they had him imprisoned.

A few more seconds passed before the group were encouraged into carriages by Nikolai, and in what felt like a similar amount of time the carriages were outside of the police station. Much like the rest of London, this building was dreary, grey -  repressive. Olivia stepped out of the carriage and turned to face the others.

"I think we can assume that just going in and asking for his release would result in an obvious conclusion."

Olivia rolled back her shoulders. She took a glance at Harmerti when he mentioned being a distraction, "This is a police station. The people inside need to protect the public. If a commotion is caused outside the building, surely there would have to be some kind of response from the people inside. To encourage them to act, perhaps having  a member of the..." she paused, "more wealthy classes involved would draw their attention more."

Moddy made a short detour before getting in the cab with the adults. He went to his little stash spot and got his broom. Luckily it was a nifty contraption that grew and shortened by the press of a button. He made his way back just before they headed out. Any normal child would not walk with unknown nobles, yet, Moddy was just that confident. That and Alex was there. The guy may not really care what happens to him, but at least he knew someone. He didn't say a word and neither did the adults for the most part. The only thing going on was the voice in his head singing some old song in a language he didn't know. It got louder and more annoying as the travel went on. Moddy managed to keep his composure through the whole trip though he really had the urge to find someone to punch. As they funnel out, Moddy looked between everyone. They needed a plan to get in without much of a problem. I mean an easy one would just have me run around having them chase me. I could get their attention alright. Done it more than any kid should. He shrugged rolling his eyes. I could sweeten the deal! Maybe turn you into a dog or something! Instantly, Moddy shook his head. Nope, I will not be a dog. Shut up. He announced as he clutched his hands and eyelids. BAH! You're no fun. Why did I get stuck with such a cruddy child?

Moddy looked back up to the adults. He still found them irritably ignorant. They came here on the whim that the wall writing was from Tobias. After everything that had gone down, he could be dead for all they knew. It wasn't any skin of his bones. He just wanted to rid himself of the voice as soon as possible. Sorry... today has been a long day... I'll let the mind of adults figure this one out. No creativity from a kid needed.

Nikolai looked appreciatively at his new friends. "I vould not put a child in danger...not even you Mahl'chik." He grinned at Moddy. "Besides, I have better idea for you. You are small, have better chance of slipping past guards to get to Tobias. Olivia, Harmerti and I vill create distraction. You take Fish and get keys, find Tobias."

He nodded at them all. "If vee get separated vee vill meet at Cleopatra's Needle, on ze banks of ze Thames. Zat should be close enough to docks to find ship."

He looked at each in turn to make sure they were aligned with the plan, then stepped around the corner and approached the steps of the station.

When he was at the bottom of them he looked back to the adult members of his team.

"So, how best to do zis?" He mused, stroking the stubble on his chin thoughtfully.

Tobias wasn't sure what he was seeing. The room was gloomy and almost pitch dark, but he was sure the outlines of his text had been visible when he last looked at the wall. He could see no sign of it now however. Feeling a little irritated he withdrew the quill again and traced the outline of something else, an apple. He gave it a stem and added a tiny leaf onto it before turning his back to the drawing and letting his head fall on his raised knees. This was the first time he had been kept like a common criminal.

Something sounded beside him and the noise made him jump. He put his hand down to where the sound had come from and his hand met the smooth, cool surface of a rounded object by his side.

He started. It was an apple. He blinked once, not really believing what he was now holding. He bit into it slowly and was amazed at the tart tang of the juice as it flooded into his mouth. Quickly his eyes darted back to the wall...nothing. The wall was blank once more. Tobias shook his head in disbelief, then smiled as the potential of this gift trickled into his mind. Slowly he withdrew the pen once more and used it to pen the shape of a key.

Harmerti stared at the ground before slowly switching to the surroundings upon hearing Olivia's suggestions. He assumed she meant to pretend fight. "You mean pretend to attack a wealthy person, no? If it works, so be it, but I also have an idea."

The one he had in mind, before he had left the Expo, was to make himself look as out of place as possible. He is in fact an immigrant so perhaps asking for directions in an extremely thick version of his current Egyptian accent might work, similar to the one he had when he first moved to England. Speak as though he has very little to no experience with the English accent. Perhaps even breaking his English, too, to really emphasize his foreign-ness to whoever he needs to distract. This was assuming he would distract whoever he needed to alone. The rest didn't exactly fit in the plan. Still, it's an idea and having one is better than nothing. "My idea was to act as if I just moved here." Harmerti cleared his throat to show what he meant. In an extremely thick Egyptian accent, he said "Hello. I am new to here and wish for directions to...anywhere." He then returned to his normal voice, "Something like that might work as a peaceful alternative. I would pester them, basically."

Something tickled his arm as he moved them slightly. He scratched the tickle and noticed something was in his sleeve, something not there a few moments before. He aimed his arm down to allow whatever he had up his sleeve to escape and wiggled his arm. A few moments of wiggling had led to a black feather falling down to the ground. The feather look like something that would have come from his falcon, which would make sense considering the falcon was perched on his arm while traveling back to the Expo. The falconer glove should have covered up his sleeve, though. Strange, but at this point, Harmerti wasn't exactly surprised at anything when he was with this group. Harmerti just shrugged the feather's appearance off and returned his focus to the group again.

Back at the Expo, Harmerti's falcon, which was aptly named Ra, heard an unfamiliar voice very close to it. It was expecting to hunt soon as that is normally the case with Harmerti leaving their home with him. He hadn't heard his voice for a while now and never once was there a woman's voice during these travel and hunt times. While the hood kept it at ease, it was now aware that it is not in its usual procedure. It shifted its position on its branch slightly when it heard Anelette speak while also making a subtle squeak in response, loud enough for Analette to hear, but not loud enough for the Expo attendees to notice. He spread his wings and shook rapidly in an attempt to fluff its feathers. Thanks to Harmerti's rush back to the Expo, this shaking had caused a hastily tied leather string on back of the hood to come loose. Any more rapid movements may cause the entire hood to simply fall off.

Ophelia kept quiet after stepping out of the carriage, listening to the others debate about what to do. Her mind was far, far off. There was something bothering her, something about the events at the Expo, and she couldn't put her finger on it. It didn't help that everytime she thought about it, the hyper-rational part of her brain reminded her that she should have a problem with everything that happened at the Expo earlier that day.

She stared over at the police station, trying to focus. She wondered briefly why there didn't seem to be any police around, outside of the somber buildings. She glaned at Nikolai as he asked how to best create a distraction, and then at the Egyptian when he spoke.

"Damsels in distress always work nicely," She threw in, glancing over at Olivia. Then she fell silent again, mulling over the events of the day. It had been something during the fight with the creature, something she had done..

Olivia glanced towards Harmerti and then to Nikolai and Ophelia; a thought popped into her head. Why had Tobias been arrested? Did the police know what was happening?

She rested her gaze on Harmerti, "Your idea holds merit, true, but I think it would be unwise for you to go alone, if we follow through with you plan. Tobias went to the police alone and it clearly didn't end exactly as planned."

With Ophelia's interjection, Olivia nodded, "That being said, we run the risk of... Harmerti was it? Being arrested. That further delays our departure, and I can only assume that time is going to be of the essence."

Following Nikolai, Olivia was now at the bottom of the steps to the station, "Harmerti's plan might be safer, if we go as a group. However, I don't think that," she took a glance at the Egyptian's clothes, "the police will care much if a member of the working class is lost. Upper classes are a different matter and like Ophelia said, damsels in distress always work nicely." She paused. Olivia's tone did not lighten, "Pretend to be my attendents, maybe. The name Godwin holds some weight, if you cause a big enough scene I'm sure they will come to help and it may cause a distraction. What say the rest of you?"
