Okay now that everyone has posted their CS and claimed a canon, we should discuss how exactly we want to start

Alrighty.

I think this kinda depends on whether or not we take the qliphoth tree as the mass extinction event it is. If it is, the country around it would still be in the process of being rebuilt, less densely populated, etc.

Of course, the presence of the tree's remains might be a significant demonic influence, maybe opening cracks that demons can come through, giving the Devil Hunters no shortage of work, and possibly a way to kick off the story with a demon attack.

Yeah, that would make the most sense. Plus, not all the characters are part of Devil May Cry, so it would be a good way for them all to meet

Speaking of post Qlipoth, we could say we are gathered in a place where the remainder of demons that crossed into human world at thd Qlipoth incident are hiding. And that they're trying to activate some ancient demon relic thing. Which is a mix of faithful Darkling0096 's suggestions.

Why am I the faithful one? I screwed with the lore and everything just so I could have a legitimate demonspawn that fits in setting. I think I did pretty good making it fit within the lore, though.

I vote big demon tower. If not...i suppose i could have my dude doing his creepy necromancer thing and maybe be an early antagonist? With his regen getting himself "killed" and coming back could be doable so he could be an reoccuring enemy who vegeta's out and joins yall from time to time.
