Fantasy Descendants of the Curse

Phiona giggled when he pinched her cheek, but winced at the names he listed. "Horace?" She muttered shaking her head, "Patrick's not bad, what about......Penny? Or Jenny, or Molly?" She asked as she walked so distracted by their new look she didn't notice the person in front of her and she collided straight into them. "Watch it you dumb slag!" They shouted and quickly got up and left leaving Phiona stunned and on the floor rasping from having the wind knocked out of her.

Ash frowned, he had suggested that early on and Vivian had refused and he didn't push her on it, of course back then they weren't nearly as desperate as they were now. "Yes well we should have done a lot of things but didn't, please love, if you wont sleep then just rest. I'll keep an eye out for sabella while I am out.

Fredric sighed he should have seen this coming. "I am not afraid of that, but I'm glad I could help you." He said stretching to ready himself to transmutate again. "I'm sure you'll know where to find me should you need my help again." And with that he turned away and headed back into the hidden dwelling to grab his things.

"Excuse me young man but-"
Gaston stopped himself despite his anger at Phiona being bowled over by the bruitsh student. He quickly ducked down and helped Phiona up, remembering his altered appearance and the fact that he was sheepish son now and not his regular self.
"Let's get out of here before one of us slips up."

"There's no point. She won't be coming home. She'd be stupid to come home and that's one thing our daughter isn't... wasn't," Vivian paused for a moment to sigh deeply," you might as well come out of the rain as well."

"We won't be."
Apollo replied with a quiet finality and turned away from the cave, following his pack back towards their dens. Now that he had that finished and knew that his children were safe he could now fuss about his mate and his family to his heart's content.

"Young man?" Phiona coughed catching her breath and getting up, and surprisingly she was still smiling too excited now to let that get her down. "He looked at least three years older than you my dear boy." Phiona teased once more grabbing her luggage and Gaston's hand and walking off again almost out of the building. She enjoyed the fact that she could just walk out in the open with him like this even if they had to use glamor.

"Phiona! Phiona!" There was a loud hollar and Phiona jumped looking back behind her and was surprised to see her dormmate running down the hall looking worried. "Skyla?" She asked forgetting her glamor but her dormmate ran past her continuing to call her name. Concerned and annoyed Phiona looked to Gaston, then handed him her luggage. "I should see what is the matter." Phiona said worriedly then before Gaston could say anything she ducked out of the hall into a empty classroom and cast away her glamor transferring it to a small charm on her necklace making it glow a pale lilac color thanks to Malcolm's magic. Now back to her own form she straightened her dress and quickly patted her inky braids making sure she looked like her proper self, she stepped out again and cast a worried glance to Gaston as she could hear laughing down the hall. "Wait here for me will you...Jacques?" She said taking his hand and giving it a small squeeze then chasing after Skyla and away from Gaston.

She followed the noise down the hall to where the laughter was only to freeze when she saw it's source. All across her room's door and the surrounding walls was vandalized with vile things such as crude pictures of Phiona with devil horns and flames all around her, to words such as "whore" and "teacher's slut", and even more cruel things. Yet it seemed everyone who saw it thought it was hillarious, especially the boy who had run into her just a moment ago. At least everyone but her roommate, who seemed more embarrassed because she shared the same room, than anything else. For a moment she could only stare at it tears welling up in her eyes till finally the sound of people's taunting her made her look away. Dispite Skyla trying to comfort her, she couldn't stand to be here any longer and the young Phiona ran off away from the cruelness of her fellow students.

She didn't know where she was going and it didn't really matter either as she ended up almost crashing into Jacques. She didn't apologise, she didn't get out of his way, nor did she say anything. She simply clung into him and sobbed, she didn't understand how people could be so cruel especially when none of them were there. None of them knew what trully happened but like horrible parasites they were feeding off eachother and making it so much worse with none of them concerned with the consequences of their actions. "H-How could they...?" Were the only words she could breathe out between trembling sobs.

(Figured out how to do the Gaston and Jacques switch'a'roo, but decided it would be out of character for her to be publically playful and flirty so this is the scene now.)

Ash sighed and looked at her but didn't come out of the rain. "Any bit I can find will help Vivian...I'll be back soon." He said then slowly jogged out of the fan to hunt some food.

Amber was confused not catching the scent of her childern or mate but she kept traveling figuring that they took another path. Jogging out into the clearing where the hidden cavern was. The scent of her pack was still there but the only thing left was a lonely Fredric tossing his satchel over his shoulder as he noticed her enter. "Amber..." he muttered his voice soft and keeping to himself all the emotions he felt and words he wanted to say. "You just missed them they've all headed back home." He said not meeting her eyes and turning to walk away from her

Amber frowned watching him go, she hadn't seen him in so long he had changed so much granted with how worse for wear she was right now she most likely looked like a completely different person. "Thank you." She said stepping out more and towards him. "You didn't have to do any of this especially not after what Apollo did to you, but you did it anyway and you saved me, my family, and my pack. I will repay you for it one day, I don't know how but I will." She said she was dead tired and extremely sore but she tried to sound grateful.

Fredric turned to her shaking his head. "You don't need to do any of that, I did not do this expecting payment, i did this for you Amber. It's the least I can do for you and the most Apollo would let me do." He gave a tired chuckle as he said the last part.

Amber nodded not sharing in Fredric's humor and there was a moment of silence between them. "Have you heard anything from Marius recently?" She asked trying to sound casual as she was really asking about their daughter Phea.

Fredric cleared his throat. "He's dead, Marius killed his friend Ben during the super blood moon along with a few other witches then was later killed. As for what happened to his...uh...yeah... I have no idea, last I heard something happened and she-....it is gone and I havent heard anything since." he said with a frown, knowing how young they were when Phea was born if she was still alive she's almost be a full grown woman by now.

Hearing those words hit her like a punch to the gut. "Oh...." she said her voice shaking as she frowned. They left Phea in Marius's care in hopes that he would take care of her, if Amber had known the consequences of their choice she would have kept Phea and just dealt with Apollo's wrath.

"Amber..." fredric said coming up to her and wiping a singular tear away. "It's not your fault." he muttered. "Everything was perfect for us, we could have been a family. It was Apollo who ruined that not you."

Amber flinched when he touched her but then gave a small embarrassed chuckle seeing the tear, she didn't even know it was there. "Thank you Fred but please don't talk about Apollo like that." She muttered looking down. "I appreciate what you have done for me and my family but it is too late for us to go back to before all this. As much as I would love to think it possible it's not-"

"Amber." Fredric interupted her but she went on.

"I have a family now and you have your job and Lottie to take care of and.." Fredric tried intrupting her again but she just kept going. "Maybe if things were different, maybe if we weren't the way we were-" Fredric interupted her again this time not with words but with a kiss, his lips pressed firmly into hers. For a few seconds he could enjoy a feeling he hadn't felt in what seemed like forever but it was quickly ended by Amber pushing him away.

"Fredric!" She demmanded shock and betrayal on her face, but she stopped herself when she saw the look of saddness on Fredric's face.

"I know Amber...." He said looking down. "But, I still love you, I will always love you but I understand that you don't anymore. I'm just glad I could see you one more time." As he said that he turned away from her and picked up his bag. "I will try to find our daughter, and if I can't find her this will be the last you see of me." He said no longer using the code they used for Phea and just saying it out right. It was a risky thing to do and proved that he meant what he said.

As he turned around and walked away Amber was stunned she had never expected this and didn't really know what to do. So as Fredric disappeared into the forest Amber turned back around and headed for the den still fairly stunned from everything that had just happened.

"How could they?"
Jacques cocked an eyebrow, flustered now that Phiona was embracing him so tightly, his cheeks flushing a terrible pink.
"How could they what?"
Jacques awkwardly attempted to comfort her as he patted her back.
"What's happened?"

Apollo dumped another bucket of icy water over his head and streams of it, mingled with diluted blood, turned the stone beneath his feet an unsavoury shade of brown. He had returned back to the den and after waiting he had decided he might as well get the stink off him before Amber returned. He glanced down at himself and say that the majority of the filth had been removed from his skin. The alpha then fumbled with small bottles of herbs and oils that the elderly she wolves had given him and the others to clean themselves. His massive fingers did anything but open them, and he was simply left cussing softly as he continued to try and pry open the small cork.

"I don't believe this..." Phiona sobbed looking back she could see the cruel words spreading along the walls like an infection, someone had actually gone through the effort to make this enchantment spread so everyone can see it. Though still far down the hall she could see the words "Put the bitch on trail." forming in deep red on the mahogany walls, and it only made her crying worse. "I was only trying to defend myself, I didn't mean to hurt him..." She whimpered her chest heaving as she tried to breathe but her dress didn't make that very easy and she started hyperventilating. Just as that happened someone walked past her "Whore!" They spat at her not even caring that she was in distress and practically falling to her knees. "I...can't..." She heaved trying to breathe, "need...to...go..." She coughed as she was breathing panicking from the stress of it all.

Amber was silent as she walked down hearing the sounds of someone bathing she checked and was relieved to see her mate. She had cleaned herself earlier and so she just sat and watched him struggle with the bottle. "Would you like some help?" She asked a somber smile on her lips as she held out her hand to help him.

Apollo smiled down gently at his mate. A wave of overwhelming relief swept over him and despite his nudity, nearly collapsed into her, dropping the bottles and bundling her tightly in his arms. He sank to the floor and again, despite his nakedness and the wet of the floor he held her against him.
"We're all alright."
He kissed the top of her head and then cupped her cheeks with his hands.
"You were brilliant out there. Absolutely magnificent my little dove."

"Excuse me?! Phiona! Phiona-" Jacques grappled to keep her on her feet. He carefully put his arm around her and held her up by her elbow, leading her across the hall to a small bench.
"What's happened? Why are they doing this to you?"

Amber gave him a gentle smile. "You weren't too bad yourself." She said closing her eyes and gently sighed. "We did it...we only lost seven of our members, but we did it..." She pressed her checks into his hands "I was so afraid that something would happen to them that somehow I would lose more pups but they are still here, you're still here." She looked up at him her finger delicately brushing a bruise on his cheekbone. "I still have my family." She she her voice nearly a whisper as she closed her eyes once more and hugged herself tightly against her mate.

As Phiona was panicking she didn't pay attention to the fact that he was asking her so many questions she only thought of how terrible this was and how she needed to keep breathing. "I-don't....know." She coughed out trying to fan herself and while at the same time her other hand was clutched tightly onto Jacques's. "No-...no one knows...what happened." She sucked in a hiccuping breathe her body trembling as she spoke. "No one believes me and-.....Xander..." She had to struggle to say his name. "Xander...won't tell anyone the truth..." She was calming down some now able to breathe a bit steadier. "I don't think I can take much more of this." She wiped her eyes sucking in deep breathes trying calm herself but she could still hear the laughter. "I want to stay in this coven, I do but I can't take this anymore." She muttered still trying to dry her eyes and stop crying. "If this goes on, I don't know what I'll do..." She looked to Jacques her dark lashes wet with tears and cheeks just as red as her lips. "I want this all to be over, yet I do not wish to leave you....would you hate me if I left?" She asked worriedly her lower lip bitten till it bled.

"We'll always have our family, you'll always have me. In life, in war, in sickness, in death. You'll have me anyway and always, little dove. Our victory only solidifies that."
He took her hand from his cheek and cupped it in his own, kissing the pad of each finger and then her palm and her wrist.
"We waged war to save our family. I'd wage another tomorrow if it meant keeping you and our pups safe. You know I am not who I once was but I hope you also know that I would wade through seas flesh and bone and blood to get back to you."
And as he said it, he felt it. He felt the heat and rage that he had once been consumed by but even more so he felt an the heat of passion and determination that boiled his blood and pushed him to be both a master and servant to his mate, a protector and enabler.
He had never felt such love for any creature before and he only hoped that it was some sort of redemption for the horrors he had committed in her name mere hours before.

Jaques rested his hands in his lap and clasped them tightly together, small sparks erupting between his almost white knuckles. His heart plummeted despite it feeling as though it was beating out of his chest.
Sweat dripped down the nape of his neck as he attempted to contain his emotions.
She couldn't leave.
She couldn't.
She could.
She could leave him.
His only friend.
"Phiona- I- I uh I don't want you to. You shouldn't. My father will take care of this. He'll be coven leader. He'll take care of it-"
He began babbling and his hair lifted slightly of his head as if he were underwater. Light crackled at its tips and he could feel his body pulsating.
He thought of his grandmother. About what he'd done.
This is how it had felt.
"Phiona, I can't be here I'm getting too mad. I have to find mama-"
He stumbled from the bench. Agony wrenched through his slender frame as he attempted to stumble away from her.

A single tear rolled silently down her cheek at his beautiful words, and she gently smiled at him. "I know my Apollo, I know..." She muttered sweetly leaning in and pressing her lips to his in a deep loving kiss. "I hope you know, I would do the same for you and our family in a heart beat as many times as necessary." She whispered holding him close. "You know Apollo, for someone as brutish as you, you do come up with some of the most beautiful words."

He move his hands to grasp her waist tightly and bring her all the more closer, his fingers methodically slipping the shoulder of her blouse down her arm.
"As brutish as me, hm?" He laughed as he shuffled forward slightly to press his significantly smaller mate up against the wall.
"I win a war for you and you decide to be a brat? Hardly seems like an appropriate reaction to one's... well how should I put this? Saviour? Liberater? You'd think a shewolf such as yourself would be far more greatful."
The alpha male teased, pushing thoughts of blood and carcass from his mind.

Phiona stood up as he walked away confused, still trying to wipe her eyes she realized that was the real Jacques not Gaston. Her worry returned for a moment as she watched him, leave a trail of sparks following him as he walked away. She had never seen that before and worried she called after him. "Jacques are you alright?" She called. "Jacques, Please don't leave me here." She muttered following after him worried for him, especially when he said he was getting too mad.

She knew she should go back to where Gaston was but she didn't want to have to walk past her room again. So instead she started to follow her friend, at least as far as he would allow.

Amber chuckled enjoying his ability to change a conversation on a dime. "I suppose you're right, I should be more grateful." She smirked her hands sliding down to his shoulders. "My brave savior, how ever can I repay my debt to you?" She purred and as she mentioned repayment she lifted one leg up and wrapped it around his waist.
