Fantasy Descendants of the Curse

Ash frowned looking down at Vivian and pulled her in close to him. He didn't know, he didn't even have a clue. He remembered that his father's pack would simply raid the village when times got hard both killing and stealing what ever they could. Though it seemed hopeful he knew no one in his pack had the energy for it anymore. "We survive." Was all he could think to say.

Wave after wave were cut done till eventually no more came. The sunrising in the east was just as red and vibrant as the blood that covered everything in the valley. Countless body from both packs littered the ground but in the end it was Apollo's pack that was still standing. They had won.

"You don't think I haven't pulled off a few tricks of my own, Phiona?" He chuckled softly as he pushed his dark curls into a knot at the nape of his neck, although one popped up like a corkscrew at his part. Pursing his lips in frustration he flattened it to no avail. Giving up, he pulled on his long traveling coat and adjusting his boot strap before grabbing his luggage and turning towards the door, offering his hand to Phiona.
"Ready little flower?"

"Easier said than done I'm afraid."
Vivian replied and pulled away from him, turning back towards the den and sloshing through the mud and slop.
"Perhaps Artemis was smarter than I gave her credit for. She may have been a traitor but she definitely wasn't a stupid one, leaving this."

Apollo's legs quaked at the vast field of destruction but while his remaining pack members either collapsed or rested and recovered he turned his back on the battlefield and loped towards the dens-- the young mothers, old and their pups were tucked away in a cave miles away but he would surely make the trek tonight if he didn't stop.
He needed to see his boys and he needed to exile that damn witchling before he caused anymore trouble for him. Apollo had appreciated him staying and creating the crystals for his pack-- but the witch had still first given them to his enemies and had made the recent battle all the more difficult.

"Not quite yet." Phiona smirked walking over to him and standing on her tip toes she playfully kissed his cheek. "Now I am." She grinned then patted his shoulder and headed out taking her bags with her. Swiftly she made her way down the hall, already she could hear people stirring and moving about and it worries her but she remained calm not looking at anyone as they past her and she was tempted to look back to see if Gaston was behind her but she decided not to. Finally she came to Malcolm's room, gently knocking she went in and carefully close the door behind her. "Thank you for doing this on such short notice." Phiona said casting away her glamor and in a wave of golden sparks blonde was replaced by pitch black.

Ash nodded running Vivian's shoulders as he hugged her close. Looking around he couldn't blame anyone for leaving, there were many times in which he himself would have left if he could. "Would you leave?" He asked gently his sunken eyes looking down at her's

"Get some rest. We shall collect their crystals and burn the bodies latwr." She was going to say in the morning but now with the sun coming up she knew it would more than likely be the evening. Then followed Apollo off to go get their childern who she hoped were fine.

"Not a problem, not at all."
Malcolm muttered quietly, poking his head out the door as Gaston slipped in quickly behind Phiona. He glanced up and down the hall quickly before shutting the door as quietly as possible.
"It's best you two leave for a short period of time after all this... well this whole mix up."
He sighed deeply, much like his son did often.
Malcolm raised his hand and twisted a spiral of soft purple sparks around his son who then appeared as his grandson. He then did the same to Phiona, her black hair transforming to a short mousy brown, several moles spotted her cheeks and freckles splashed across the entirety of her face as well as well rounded and rosy cheeks.
"There. Complete strangers. Go on take a look at yourselves, is that sufficient? It should last the duration of your travel."
He gestured towards the mirror.

Vivian looked up at him with sad, round eyes, deeply sunken into her face.
"I couldn't leave. Not now. What would Sabella do if she came home and no one was here?"
She said softly and swallowed a sob, licking her dried lips and closing her eyes inhaling the cold air into her lungs to fight back tears and trembles.

Apollo's paws pounded against the earth, his heart racing. He was terrified he'd arrive to find his pups and pack mangled as he had once before. He was far from jovial about his success in battle-- celebrating could wait until he had his twins tucked safely away in his den and Fredrick was sent far far away.
By the time he reached the enclosed cave, light filtered lowly through the trees and he hadn't a clue weather it was dawn or dusk.
"Fredrick!"
He bellowed as he shifted and grunted lowly as he finally assessed his wounds in his human form. A large gash separated the flesh on his upper thigh and large bite wounds spotted his shoulder and upper arm.

(Okie dokie!)

Phiona was at first surprised that Malcolm glamored her too, as it was her family they where going to see but she didnt say anything instead she rushed to a mirror and looked at herself. "OH MY GOODNESS!" Phiona squealed touching her hair and face obsessively. "I'm addorable~!" She laughed pitching her own cheeks. Then just to see if Malcolm's glamor worked she waved her hand infront of herself and watched in amazement as cool pink swirls floated from her hand and not her normal golden sparks. It was while doing this that she saw Gaston, now Jacques. He looked just like him and when she tried to read Gaston's aura she received no sign of who's it was. 'Intriguing...' she thought to herself then turned to Malcolm. "This is wonderful thank you, sir." She vowed to him, she still couldn't get over how many freckles covered her body.

Ash nodded holding his wife close to him, as he thought of their daughter. He prayed where ever she was is it was better than this place, and that she was safe from the dangers left to the rest of the pack. "you should rest, it's been a long day" he muttered looking down at Vivian.

Hiddened away deep in a cavern was Fredric and the other pack members all dumping around happily as they entertained the childern. The two boys were riding on the back of a large brown pegasus that Fredric had taken the shape of. Yet at the sound of Apollo's calling the playing stopped and Fredric slowly brought the two boys out to see their father. "Apollo..." Fredric nodded letting the boys get off him then changing back into human form.

Malcolm nodded and waved his hand dismissively.
"Consider it a gift. Now you-- go and be on your way, let this old man get some decent sleep."
He smiled, a worn look crossing his lips and eyes as he ushered the two of them towards the door.

"Everyday has been long Ash. Today is no different and we both know I won't sleep."
Vivian replied and rubbed her hands through her shorn hair as she pulled away from him and began the slow walk to the den, her legs already aching.

"Papa!"
The twins squealed and ran to their father who now crouched in the dirt and embraced them tightly to his chest.
His heart soared as his lips pressed to their gingery curls and he kissed each of them. He nosed each of their cheeks and inhaled the scent of his children. They were tangible and alive and in his arms and that was a truly a victory, more so than any battle, to Apollo.

Phiona thanked Malcolm again and grabbed back up her luggage. "Are you ready, Jacques?" She asked Gaston trying out his name, then she walked out of the room to let Malcolm sleep. "Oh! If you are Jacques, what shall my name be?" She asked Gaston with whispered excitement.

Ash nodded with a sigh knowing what she said was true, but still he wanted her to be away from this, they had seen far too much of it as of late and he knew it wasn't good for them. " You rest, I will try to go out and find us food, I'll rob a damn villager of I must but I will find some food."

Fredric watched the family interact and he could feel a sting of jealous. That loving family was something he should have, something he could have had, but the man before him now took that from him, but it was nothing compared to what he took from Amber. Amber....where was she? Sudden panick filled him as he worried that Amber may not have made it out alive. "Where's...." he figured it would only get him in trouble to out right demand where Amber was so he corrected himself. "Where's their mother?"

Gaston glanced at her again and swallowed a laugh. She was completely not herself and everything about her probably looked out of place to him from the cut of her hair and colour to her cheeks and hands and aura-- she reminded him very much of candy floss.
"Gertrude, Horace, Patricia," Gaston suggested with a chuckle,"something to match those little moles that's for sure."
He grinned as he pinched her cheek.

"We should have been robbing and pillaging in the first place, perhaps a few of us would still be here."
Vivian unstuck her feet from the mud and then climbed down painfully slow to the den.

Apollo glanced up at him and glared.
"That's no conc-"
"Where is mama?"
Romulus asked his father as he nuzzled into his father's chest, yawning deeply.
"She's taking care of our friends Rom... some of the pack was very hurt."
The twins nodded and Apollo ruffled their hair gently before releasing them from his hold. The rest of the hidden memebers of his pack filtered out of the cave until none remained and Apollo ordered one of the shewolves whom was nursing older pups to lead the way back to the dens and Apollo would follow. Another shewolf took the twins from Apollo and prodded them forward while the Alpha stayed behind.
"Witchling, your help was appreciated but you are a wanted man now and you're still not exactly my favourite person. You are seen as a traitor to our rivals and they'll surely kill you if they find you've been selling to all the packs especially after this mess.
I wish to banish you but it would be best to leave out of your own free will."
