Fantasy Descendants of the Curse

Gaston groaned and then chuckled, his other hand moving to rest on her hip.
"Am I really so old? I haven't a gray hair on my head or a bunion on my toe."

Donahue smirked, "Good, I wouldn't have it any other way." He replied kissing her neck his hands wrapping easily around her waist as he held her close to him.

Phiona laughed at that her voice ringing through the room and she instantly covered her mouth. She looked to Gaston worriedly but upon hearing that her laugh stirred no one she relaxed. "Of course not, I only tease." She smiled laying back down and resting her head on his chest. "Or we could glamor you into my brother." She suggested though she found the idea of Gaston posing as her brother to be quite odd. "What of a glamor of Jacques? There would be nothing odd in him traveling with me, he is my fiancé after all."

Her smile faltered slightly as her mind wandered. Sabella rested her head against the crook of his shoulder and relished in his soft kisses, something she had grown to enjoy over the last several hours.
"Donahue... what would you do if my father found me? Found us? He's surely looking by now."
Her heart ached to think of it. Ash would have him killed or at least Vivian would as well as Valac. In other words there was no possible way Donahue would live if they were found out.
Her heart ached once more, the guilt of leaving her pack and family to starve nearly overtook her and her legs trembled slightly but she held onto him.

Donahue paused pulling his lips away for a moment. "I'm sure he would understand. After all he did the same, he left his father's pack with his mate during his time of need and started his own pack. It's a normal occurrence for the next in line wolf pup to start their own pack if their father is still a strong alpha. You have nothing to worry about." He said trying to comfort her.

"You obviously don't know Ash or Vivian or my brother very well then," Sabella pulled her tangled limbs away from his,"I've hardly thought about them and yet my mother is probably losing her mind. She only had Valac and I."
Sabella strode down the small slope of the bank to the waters edge and crouched down, splashing water up onto her face and then balancing herself more steadily on her haunches.
"I miss Valac."

"It would be an expceptionally easy glamour considering we already look so much alike, your fiancé and I."
Gaston grumbled and rolled his eyes, not an overt fan of the idea but it seemed to be the most logical one.

Seeing his displeasure Phiona gave him a gentle smile. "We almost wouldn't have to glamour you, you just need a hair cut, and a shave. Though Jacques has blue eyes, his boy-ish face and isn't nearly as muscular as you, so perhaps some glamour is necessary after all." When she commented on his build she let her slender fingers delicately trace over his abs, the muscle pleasantly firm under her soft fingertips. "Or we can ditch the glamour all together and I travel alone till we meet at the cross roads." She said her eyes meeting his as she referred back to her original plan.

"I can hardly say I truly hate my only brother, can I?" Sabella sighed as she waded slowly back into the water to wash off the mud and dirt her skin had collected during mating.
"Truly my only brother. Who knows how many other half siblings Ash has fathered?"
The shewolf sighed and dunked herself beneath the water before bursting back through the surface.

Gaston smirked and then quickly and yet gently tugged her hand away from his stomach.
"Are you trying to distract me from making a rational decision?"

(I'm thinking a time skip for them both soon.)

Donahue didn't want to comment on that matter so he simply followed her in and rebated himself though as Sabella came out of the water her eyes covered by hair and trickling water he delicately placed a birch leaf that fell onto the water ontop of Sabella's soaking wet head wondering how long it would take her to notice it. If he didn't it right she wouldn't notice till she touched her head or looked in a mirror.

"No, apologies if that distracted you." Phiona smirked blushing as she slid her hand away. Then she looked over at the grandfather clock across the room, it was nearly midnight. "We should be getting to bed." She said looking back at Gaston, she hadn't realized how much time had past.

They had went back to the den to go to bed and he noticed none of the other shewolves commented on their mated bond or even seemed to notice it, but he ignored that fact. He and Sabella went to bed that night and he woke up to the loud sounds of the other wolves bustling around he didn't know why but because they didn't sound that frantic he didn't worry.

(Skipping to morning)

Phiona woke up an hour before the crack of dawn excited. Quickly changing she laid Gaston's night shirt on his bed and kissed his cheek before leaving quickly running to her dormroom, but was caught off guard when she saw her roomate still up and half the things in their room were either burnt or warpped in a odd way. It looked as if a hallucinating drunk had tried to paint a normal room and this was the result. "What happened?!" She exclaimed in shock as she saw her bed was almost unrecognizable. Had she slept there she would have most likely ended up severely disfigured or dead if not both! "I was practicing my teleportation assignment, and if you couldn't tell I'm not too good at it." Her roommate muttered embarrassed, but then saw where Phiona was looking. "Where were you last night?" She asked noticing Phiona was wearing the same clothes as yesterday. Phiona panicked temporally but quickly came up with her responce. "A mystic told me to be weary of resting here last night and suggested I stay at the local inn. Seeing this mess I'm glad I heeded her warning." Phiona muttered still taking in the sight then noticed her clothes were tossed about the room and yet her chest-of-drawers was missing. "I'm sorry." Were her roommates only words. Irritated Phiona picked up her clothes and quickly changed into fresh ones then packed up the remainder of her unharmed clothes into her luggage that had somehow partially melted. "What are you going somewhere?" Her roommate asked almost sounding offended. Phiona just frowned at her. "Till you get this mess sorted out I will be spending this break with my parents." She said with authority, quickly fixing her pale lilac dress then turning to leave. "Oh, and find my wardrobe!" She added annoyed then turned on her heel and left. Silent as a mouse she made her way back to Gaston's room quitely closing the door behind her. "Are you awake Gaston?" She whispered gently nudging him awake. "Gaston." She whispered a little louder then began brushing her hair and braiding her raven black hair into two french braids which showcased her delicate face and gave her a childish look of innocence. "We have to go see Malcolm before the whole coven wakes."

"We have to go see Malcolm?"
Gaston grumbled, rolling onto his side and away from her as she pestered him.
"I'm a grown man Phiona, my father doesn't need to know where I go."
Again he mumbled this, closing his eyes tightly against the light that filtered into his room.

Vivian rested her head against her hands as she kneeled in the mud as yet the bodies of three more pups were covered over by slop and sediment, the hands of their mothers shoved the mud onto their barely there bodies-- starved and abused by their dwindling pack, the constant rain battering their bodies and driving out any prey that had been left.
Vivian's own bones poked and pulled at her raw muscle and skin as she watched on as the mother's sobbed and whimpered. Her own heart ached for her daughter who might as well be lying at the bottom of an identical mud pit somewhere in these treacherous woods.
There was no where to go. Apollo's lush valley to the south was ravaged by regional and territorial conflict and the west and east more and more human cities and settlements sprung up by the river's banks. Here in the north, rain and sleet killed and caged her pack here.
They were devestated by this famine and plague and yet what broke her most certaintly was the simple belief that her only remaining daughter had joined her dead spawn so much sooner than she had ever anticipated.

Phiona smirked and rolled her eyes. "I'm sure you don't. But if you wish to come with me you need to get up and dressed quickly. We need Malcolm's help to disguise your aura, it would be quite off for Jacques to be walking around suddenly with his father's aura and just as powerful as him. Would it not?" She asked sitting next to him and gently put her hand on his hip and shaking him gently.

Ash was standing next to Vivian as the rain pelted him. He hated this, he tried so hard to keep this pack alive and well yet in the end everyone was either dying or left the pack a long time ago. Even his own childern left. Artemis left and took what was left of their childern, last he knew they were headed back to their old pack in hopes of a better chance of survival. Now the pack is half the size they were when Sabella left and everyone of them were mere skeletons of their former selves with both Valac and Vivian looking like they were on death's door. Ash stood there watching the mourning mothers and he felt like he failled them, he failed them all.

It was night out and Amber was standing outside covered in blood that was both a mix of her's and those of the other packs. Apollo beside her allong with their other pack members. Everyone in her pack wore the crystals made by Fredric, even though Apollo had protested it they all wore at least two and even more to Apollo's protest the packs young and weak including her sons were taken far from here being guarded by Fredric and a few other wolves. She couldn't risk loosing more childern to their enemy. They had been defeated too many times before and now with the ground around them littered in the bodies of their enemy it looked like they finally had a chance. The crsystals Fredric gave them tilted this fight in their favor and as she tore down another wave of wolves she couldn't be happier for the chance to avange her fallen litter of pups.

Gaston rolled into his back and then pushed himself up on his elbows, rolling his neck and then rubbing a hand through his unruly curls.
"Alright, alright, I'm up," he sighed deeply and attempted to blink the sleep out of his eyes,"let's go see Malcolm."
He scooted up against his pillows before shuffling out of bed and then rifling through his wardrobe.

Vivian stood shakily. Her hands, muddied and bloodied and scraped from helping to dig the graves trembled at her sides. The alpha female shuffled closer to her mate, her eyes however could not be torn away from the bowed heads of the two other females.
"You had always said we'd stay until the bitter end," Vivian said quietly,"and this is truly bitter and very much the end, Ash. What do we do?"

Apollo's jaws dripped with blood and were smattered with chunks of fat and flesh, the crimson stream that run across his snout pooled in the copper fur around his throat. His chest rose and fell with tremendous effort as he tore through yet another line of attackers.
He soon found himself positioned on a stone perched high above their now empty dens. A stone he and Amber had been sunning on less than a week before. The stone that had been so warm before was now hot and sticky and wet with the blood of their rival pack.
It sickened him and for a moment he wondered just what he was doing and why he was doing it. These packs had families as well and so many wolves and shewolves would not go home to their dens tonight--
But you will. That's why you're doing this.
With that thought burned deeply in his mind he turned and leapt back into the fight.

Phiona turned her back to him to let him have some privacy. When he finished changing she turned back to him and grabbed up her luggage. "Are you ready?" She asked then just as a percaution she glamored herself, all she changed was her hair turning it pale blonde. It was a small change but it made her look like a whole other person and as long as no one got close enough to sense her aura it would be fine to make the journey to Malcolm's room where he would be waiting for them. "I'll leave first, then you follow shortly after, also don't put your glamor on till after we arrive at Malcolm's." She stated, her voice sounded confident in what she was doing but in truth she was really nervous. She had never done anything like this before and she was just waiting for someone to burst in and expose their plan right there. But it didn't happen and she had to keep telling herself that it wouldn't happen.
