Elves are a tribal confederacy, so if you can play off tribal tension, or if the Grand Chieftan has traitors in his midst, revolts are quite possible and common. Usually rulers are experienced at crushing them (as a former ghostwriter in medieval history I can say it is the skill most important for rulers at this time), but you guys can definitely revolt if you want. We'd need an NPC as the Grand Chieftan to flesh that out, so here' s a quick bio:
Grand Chieftain: Heliospater Mylendrylon (literally "father of the sun" - highly arrogant man)
- From the most religious and fanatical borderlands susceptible to human raids
- Mage of the rivers and water
- Disagreements are primarily from inland elves who haven't had clashes with humans and elves along the border who got along with humans and traded with them
