I got marginally bored this evening, is this close to what Tag looks like? Minus the colouring because I wasn't sure.

Because none of the other players would be allowed on the academy grounds either, would it be best if your character found an excuse to leave?

@SilverFlight The students may leave the academy of their own leisure when they're not taking classes, kind of like real world college students, they usually leave for food, or a night out or what have you, so there's a very good chance that Likara and Tauls will meet again soon : ) Eventually something IS going to happen that will separate Tauls from the academy permanently. I already know what that thing is and it will probably happen when most of the characters have been established and have some plot things of their own situated, but by that time Likara and Tauls will probably already be friends : )


so if you have a plan, some sort of plot that Likara is following up on, now's the time to get it started : D


The over arching plot will involve the king himself, but we probably wont get into that for a long long time


there's also the matter of Ezra and Aura, i'll have to start that too.....

Ok. Good, I like that, but it seems a bit unecessary to rp by myself, I had an idea for Likara to attend a hand to hand tourney put on by the commoners in order to draw a team to her to further her own tasks. If we time skip to make it in the evening so Tauls can attend too it may set up a really good scene for the other characters to come in. Does that sound like a good plan?

Like a great epic story, I would prefer to have a few sweet individual plot lines floating around on their own that eventually collide together. I don't want to rush and have all our characters meet after 3 posts without having their own stories and goals and all that, I know from experience, thats a quick way to make a massive RP boring.


BUT I also don't want to grab the reigns of everyone elses stories hahaha, your plot line IS your plot line ; )

I love the fact that you want to include that devo for everyone, its a fantastic idea, but the idea of posting just for Likara and not having any one else react is...well, I consider that boring ^^' If I send Likara to the tourney it would only be to meet the other players, I would post one more time and probably wait for them to post.

thanks! : D I'm hoping we get plenty of people, and they'll all explore the world and we can have a bunch of cool characters doing stuff and meeting each other and we get that suspense when characters who haven't seen each other for a long time are reunited! : D

Believe me I know the feeling. I've lead a few threads myself. The turnover on this site is higher than others I've seen, but the few that are dedicated tend to stay that way. I may not have time to get a reply in for a few hours, but I will definitely get one up today.

I'm still trying to figure out Stella's individual plot line-she's a character that will be separate from the others for a while. I was also thinking of creating another character; maybe he can be in the tournament or something.

Naturally the gm can tell you much more than I can, but my character asked about it early on. I've quoted Mmetafor's IC reply here:

"The academy is mostly for students of magic and sciences, there are a number of mages here as well as training alchemists, botanists, mathematicians. Really all manor of students. They go on to study and build and produce magic." He shrugs "not exactly my strongest attribute. After a soldier finishes his or her basic training for the army....in whatever town they do so in...they have the option to join the army imidiately, OR they can come here and go through more advanced training, so they can be royal knights. Mostly polished guards for the city and the king himself..." He says, thinking about the current state of the king and his relationship with his people "for all that means..." he said, nearly matching Likara's tone.
