Okay so I've been thinking about the world a lot and a few big thoughts. Disclaimer, I don't know how true any of this is, but like this world has a lot of very interesting aspects to it.

So first off, the world is only like 50 years older than ours. We could be our characters parents, and more importantly, if (most) of our characters had parents they probably would have been alive before the war. And that's super interesting since it means that our characters are probably the first people to be born after the war. Like in the grand scheme of things its incredible how little time has past. People have had 30 years to adapt to the changes sure, but when our characters were kids (again depending on the age) there's a good chance while the towns were developing from at least somewhat industrialized globalized economies, into either hunter gatherers or farmers. Especially considering the lack of knowledge of agriculture in the average person, its crazy to imagine anyone actually surviving in an event like this, but of course you'd have to imagine its possible.

Also there are some far reaching consequences for the availability of crops and animals we take for granted. I specifically saw chocolate and coffee as likes, the beans are almost entirely imported from other countries, so you'd have to imagine how lucky they are to have even tried it, since most of our characters were born at least 5 years after the war.

That crater is massive, but whats very interesting is how the world isn't covered in a layer of dust. The crater of the meteor that wiped out the dinosaurs wasn't even as big as a city let alone the size of half a country. Not really any signs of an eternal winter due to the presence of agriculture and references to the sun. The bombs biggest effects, most interestingly is more that its a near constant electron emitter from what I understand, frying basically all the electronics in use with some exception. This honestly seems like the biggest factor in the downfall of humanity, as almost of human infrastructure right now is built on the concept that there will be a huge flow of energy constantly, but without it everything deteorates, and without the information superhighway people are completley unprepared to learn the techniques that would bring about the rise of humanity again.

But whats more interesting is how much more destructive a nuclear war would've been. Not from a sheer amount of landmass destroyed, but instead from the fact that we're in a nuclear winter. X also gives you super powers which is neat. Also if X is radioactive, from what I understand it emits electrons, which are a lot less dangerous than the neutrons that nuclear bombs emit. This actually makes X a much better weapon since it has a way smaller global footprint, while still doing massive damage to your enemies infrastructure, due to the heavy electron radiation, meaning that MAD is a much smaller factor. Which actually serves to be an amazing catalyst for a new world war. Especially when you consider the radius of affect of the radiation.

(Also some half formed though about how the less developed countries would definitely have a weird leg up due to having a much smaller reliance on electricity)

Just some thoughts I had and wanted to share, I may have easily gotten some information wrong about the world, let me know what I'm wrong about if I am.

i like your thoughts! and a lot of it is right theres definitely a reason i thought up a specific time frame (which i otherwise wouldnt do )

i like the impact of having it so close to the end of ww3, for exactly these reasons

but X energy/radiation, shouldn't be really thought of like normal radiation, it isnt the same -which is why it gives superpowers. its a brand new element and energy source
which is the reason for some of the discrepancies of how a world war of this magnitude would've been more devastating (also i havent revealed all of the superweapons, or where they hit yet)

also, theres stuff specifically about the superweapons i havent revealed either ^w^ so that'll definitely happen through the course of the rp :>

actually a long time ago i did draw a comic (a crudely crappily drawn comic) about the beginning of the war XD i wonder if i can find it... hmm

Well one of my favorite characters never really fit in most roleplays I do since I do a lot of modern ones. His name is Ronald Boots. (His backstory is too long smh, even abriged.) He is horribly disfigured and just a giant of a man, and due to a combination of that and his freakish strength most of the village he grew up in called him a demon. Which were things in the original universe I created. He basically always kept himself fully covered growing up because of this. And had a characteristic bucket on his head with eye holes come out. Despite being a social outcast due to this, his mother was very caring and taught him to be a nice person no matter who was involved.

One day, he noticed some kids picking on another kid, and was always told by his mother to defend those who can't defend themselves. It ended up escalating into Ronald punching a kid, which ended up instantly killing him as his brain smashed against his skull when his head hit the ground. This basically started a riot, Ronald ran home, not knowing what to do, and the townsfolk ended up burning down his house. In the ensuing inferno Ronald tried to save his mother, getting severe burns in the process. Unfortunately, Ronald was much tougher than his mother even at his young age, and she passed away shortly afterwards. While Ronald was grieving the townsfolk were beginning to lose fervor as a local leader, a priest, was attempting to calm them down.

The long and short of that was Ronald was taken in under the church and raised being told that his birth was a sin, as well on top of the awful sin(s) he committed he had a lot of repenting to do. This led to him taking a deep stance of both thinking he was an awful evil, but also believing that to repent he needed to bring in as much good into the world as possible. Later in life he joined a group of Demon Hunters, (also obtaining what I like to call spoonmail armor, a collection of random metal junk he collects and wears on his body for protection, as well as a massive shield of a similar build). He made friends and lost them in equal matter.

TLDR he's my Tin Dad with a tragic backstory and I love him

Oh and he would fit the setting because we obviously need more men running around shouting "Justice!" his backstory kind of fits into the world in general and it would only take a bit of editing, plus I'm a monster angst is a theme so far.

Haha, I figured, if I was gonna do it I'd either go with someone in the WG or someone trying to start/participate in their own kind of government thinking the WG isn't doing a good enough job. It would be a fun way to explore ideas like the importance of energy and how society feeds off it, and how much infrastructure is still in place. Like the idea of trying to rebuild after an apocalypse has always been an interesting idea that I haven't seen done enough (or at all) in popular media.

Weeeellll, considering her power is to 'sense danger' so to speak, sensing other things would mirror that...? Like a radar kinda thing, maybe for stuff that could potentially pose a threat.
Although, similar powers aside, I would perhaps use that 'phenomenon' from the lore and give her someone important's power The Devil, her sister...
Or maybe just something completely random haha - which would of course further the plot.
