Fantasy Cursed Island

"You and your siblings have been making it very clear that your parents spend the majority of their time fornicating," Jalin nodded towards the wall between rooms, "That does not sound like laughter."

"You felt me up with a tape measure for ten minutes!

“I highly doubt they would be doing that. We don’t take after our parents in that regard...”

“It would have been quick if you could sit still.”

"That you're aware of," Sinach shook his head, "I've slept in your sister's bag, she's no angel."

"Book," Turac warned.

"What? Don't pretend you don't know your baby sister!"

Siege just flipped Emilia the finger.

“I would rather not be aware of it. I already know more about that than I’d like from her shouting when we lived in the same house.”

Emilia focused back on her work, gradually weaving a dress into shape.

"Your choice," Sinach shrugged, "I really hope she's careful with that weapon, through."

"Book, I am warning you!"

"Alright, alright, I'm done!", Sinach put his wings up in an approximation of putting one's hands up in surrender.

"I am going for a walk on the grounds," Jalin announced, taking his cane from where it leaned on the wall, "I trust you three will not kill each other when I step out of the room?" He knew Katsuo could aoid conflict, but the three wyrmbloods in the room were... unknown.

"We're good," Sinach nodded, "If the prince has a sister, don't sleep with her!"

"It was one time!", Jalin barked as he walked out.

Sinach was quiet for a moment, "Did he just... I was joking!"

Roy blinked. "...well. That's settled, I guess." He shook his head and went to go sit down to read.

Emilia's lifetime of experience making clothes, and the simplicity of the dress, let her turn out the majority of the dress within a few hours of working, since she could produce silk herself. It was late evening when the dress was finished and Siege was able to try it on. "How do I look?", she asked as she turned a bit to let the long skirt swirl around.

Nidia smiled at her. “You look great. I haven’t seen you in a dress in a long time, but it looks good on you.”

Emilia nodded. “Yes, it does. How’s the fit?”

"Thanks," Siege smiled as she kept twirling the fabric. She looked at Emilia and made a face, "It's a bit tight around the chest, though." She gave Emilia a moment before laughing at the face she made, "I'm just pulling your chain!"

Emilia huffed before shaking her head. "Well, I'm glad you're pleased."

Just then there was a knock at their door, as well as at the other room's door, followed by a servant's voice. "Supper is served in the dining hall. Any who wish to join are welcome to do so."

"Hehe," Siege chuckled, "Alright, time to go do the thing," she found her good shoes and put on her glamour bracelet, smoke appearing around her as the magic item did it's work to augment Emilia's efforts with magic makeup and hair styling. "How's this look?"

"Alright, time to watch Siege try to flirt," Sinach chuckled as the servant called.

"You are staying here, book," Turac replied.

Nidia and Emilia looked at her before they both gave their thumbs up, replying in unison. "Nice."

Roy nodded. "The dinner table is no place for a book. There's no shortage of things that could ruin your pages."

"Thanks," Siege smiled and fixed herself in the mirror before walking to go greet the servant. "Where is the dining hall?", she asked, her voice taking on a softer tone from her usual, not rough, but very little play room voice.

Sinach huffed, "You guys always get to do the cool stuff..."

"Because we will not cease to be if we touch anything wet," Jalin smirked, "Katsuo, will you be alright staying here?" Explaining why katsuo not only didn't take off his armor at the dinner table, but also didn't eat would be a nightmare.

Nidia and Emilia followed after her, after making themselves presentable.

The servant gestured down the hall. "Down this hall, to the left. The set of large doors."

Katsuo nodded. "Yes. I will keep an eye on the paper dragon."

"Thank you," Siege smiled, going with the other girls to the dining hall to greet those there.

Jalin nodded, "Thank you." He adjusted his blindfold and used Prestigitation to do some tidying up of his clothes, before leaving with Turac and Roy to go to dinner. Sinach grumbled and fluttered to the highest point in the room he could reach that was hopefully out of Katsuo's reach where he could complain without getting crumpled.

The dining hall was just as grandiose as one would expect for a castle. Stained glass, tapestries, chandelier, a table long enough that it had to have been assembled in the room because there was no way it could moved through the hallways. The king sat at the head of the table, with his son seated close by. Sitting at the table along with them were a handful of nobles and the members of the royal court. The prince had requested that a few seats near him be left open for their guests. The food on the table was nothing short of a royal feast.

The grandiose dining hall easily got an appreciative, wordless "wow", from Siege. This dining hall was nicer than the dining room they had at home! Everything was so shiny, and clean. Even Nyah's best efforts couldn't have possibly matched the almost supernatural cleanliness this place had. She doubted she could find a single speck of dust even in the rafters! And the food smelled delicious.

Turac was... less impressed. Dragon being a dragon, and with a dragon turtle's sense of decoration, he felt his hoard was far more impressive, with the shipwrecks formign excellent exhibits for his favorite magical toys that he'd pulled from their hulls, dioramas of his favorite fights being molded from muck and corpses, all of it excellently lit by sunlight reflecting off of his gold and silver and spotlighted by glowing gems...

Jalin was the least impressed of the bunch, mostly because in order to be impressed by such a grandiose display of wealth, you need to be able to see it. He might have been able to get an approximation, but he thought it might have been seen as rude for him to carry his walking stick to the dinner table, and he doubted their hosts would appreciate it if he was making clicks and whistles constantly, so he stayed within arm's reach of Roy until he was seated.

Figuring that the best way to have a polite conversation with prince Fitzroy would be to have to talk around the fewest people possible, Siege took the seat closest to the crown prince, giving a warm smile and a nod as she did so. "Good evening!"

Fitzroy smiled to Siege as well. “Good evening. I’m glad you all could join us. Although one of you seems to be missing.” He looked to the others as he spoke.

"My servant, Katsuo, is a manner of construct," Jalin explained, "He does not eat, and he cannot remove his armor. I thought it might be least offensive that he not take part. I hope that is acceptable?" It wasn't a lie, undead did behave like constructs. They were sustained by mana, they weren't alive, made of material, not flesh.

"The palace is very comfortable," Turac nodded.

"Do you invite every adventurer you meet to stay in the palace?", Siege asked.
