Fantasy Cursed Island

Roy nodded. "We'll try to get a road plan together along the way."

Nidia spoke up. "Oh, I need to look for an alchemy shop, actually. If they let me use their equipment, and make Siege something for her hangover. And also stock up on more for later, just in case."

Jalin nodded, "Then I shall find my way to the gate and wait for you all." He disconnected his amulet from the call and turned to Sal, "I'm sorry, they're idiots. It runs in their families." If even half of Niudisa's stories were true, he was surprised they weren't in trouble already.

---------

"You can do that?", Siege looked up at Nidia as she put her amulet back inside her shirt.

"Just like any crew. Long as you can count on them when it matters. Speaking of, it's about time I whip my crew into shape." Sal got up and adjusted her coat and hat before heading out.

----------

Nidia nodded. "Yep, sure can. I didn't make any beforehand because I didn't think we'd need them so soon."

Roy started getting his stuff together to head out. He was fairly organized, so it didn't take long at all.

"Indeed," Jalin had left the majority of his equipment with Katsuo, so he was fairly certain everything of importance would be there. After saying his goodbyes to Sal and leaving his amulet on her desk so she could find it later, he simply put his vestments back on and tied his blindfold. Since he wasn't pretending to be a helpless blind man, and he had all his equipment necessary for movement, he strode confidently across the deck to the gangplank to get off of the boat and head out.

-----------------

Siege groaned, "Fuck." So now she had to wait until however long that took to get rid of the headache.

Sinach had absolutely nothing to pack, Siege and Roy were responsible for keeping him fed, so he just perched on Roy's horns again once the man was ready to leave.

The pirates were hungover, but Sal got them working regardless. Wouldn't be the first time, apparently.

----------

"Sorry, I'll try to get it to you as quick as I can."

Roy and Katsuo went down to turn in their room key before waiting for the girls.

Siege groaned, "...fine." She stood and wobbled on her feet, stumbling into Emilia for any kind of support as the world spun. Being hungover sucked and she hated it, but being drunk was a good way to skip through stuff and forget things.

After a while the girls were able to get things together and get ready to leave, meeting Jalin and Katsuo downstairs.

"You look like-" Siege held up a matchbook before Sinach could even finish his sentence.

Roy nodded. “I think she knows.”

Emilia helped support Siege when she needed it, while Nidia returned their key.

“Alright then, let’s find an alchemist. The market seems like the best place to start.”

"Greeaat," Siege groaned, holding her hands over her drooping ears to block out the noise once the group entered the market. "Pox on alcohol..."

"Should... can anyone cast Blindness/Deafness?", Sinach asked, "i don't have that scroll."

Nidia raised her hand. “I can!”

Roy looked over. “Really? That seems like the opposite of what a performer does.”

“Yeah, well, it’s related, sort of.”

"Well can you," Sinach gestured at Siege, "Make it so she can't hear so she'll stop complaining?"

Nidia nodded. “Will do.” She turned to Siege and rested her hands on her ears, humming quietly as her hands glowed. For Siege, the noise of the market gradually faded to silence.

Siege seemed to relax a bit as the noise faded, but she was still light-sensitive and uncoordinated after last night, added to which that she couldn't hear anything to hear anyone trying to get her attention. "Oh, that's better."

"Someone hold her hand so she doesn't wander off," Sinach added.

"Now," Sinach stretched his neck to look around, "Where would an apothecary be..." He looked around, taking advantage of Roy's height to see over stalls. A lot of ingrediets were sold, but he didn't see any shops that had equipment, that he could identify, anyway.

Nidia took the lead. “Just follow the most bitter smell.”

Roy shrugged and followed her. Soon enough, they wound up at an apothecary. The sign want super obvious, but Nidia managed to track it down.

The inside of the apothecary, like most alchemy shops, was filled with a strong, cloying smell of drugs being made and components drying. For anyone that used material components instead of a casting focus, this was a good place to get them. For the purpose of getting potions made or buying ingredients, this was definitely the place.

"What can I do for ya?", the halfling behind the counter asked, obviously standing on a stool. He looked rather young for this job. he couldn't possibly have been older than fifteen.

Nidia looked around as she stepped into the shop before looking at the halfling and stepping up to the counter. "Hello! Can I use you alchemy equipment? I have my own ingredients." She glanced around. "Though I might buy some more while I'm here."

The halfling seemed to be considering for a bit, "You'll want the old man for that." He hopped down from his stool vanishing completely from the counter. Everyone except for Siege could hear him walking away, before he shouted, "Hey, gramps! Lady hear wants to borrow the worktable for a bit!"

"Is she gonna clean the parts when she's done?", came the gravelly voice of an old man back. The hafling reappeared on the stool, "Are you gonna clean the tools when you're done?"

The halfling jumped back down from his stool, "She says she'll clean up!"

"Thirty silver!", the old man barked back, "Plus any product she uses!" The younger halfling hopped up on the stool to relay that back.

"Up front," the halfling reached under the counter and pulled out a tray, "I'll add the cost of any of our materials you use afterwards."

"Alright," the halfling counted the coins before putting the tray under the counter and hopping down from his stool to open a half-door at one side, "Come on in," he only let Nidia through, as she was the paying customer.

Nidia glanced at the others. "I'll try to be quick." She headed after the halfling.

Roy looked at the rest of the group. "Well, we're at the market. May as well see if there's anything else we might need."
