Fantasy Cursed Island

Niudisa nodded. "And this time, I'm making sure at least one of us is focused on keeping her contained at all times. She won't be getting away again."

Asta poked his head into the tent almost immediately. Apparently he'd been waiting right outside. "Yes?"

"Just kill her, she's not worth the effort," Adran rolled his eyes, "She's too stupid to make a working plan to actually kill us, too weak to weak to survive on her own."

"i would be happy to," Joanne replied as she approached with her sword drawn.

Jerry's head snapped in Asta's direction, 'How did I get here?" The last thing she remembered was fighting Joanne and then getting charmed.

Niudisa looked over at Joanne. "Oh, how fitting. Purged by a paladin." She and her reflection took up positions on either side of the force box around Emera. "Anytime you're ready, the box has been adjusted so your sword can pass through it."

Asta stepped into the tent. "What do you remember?"

Joanne smiled and started muttering one of her sword's prayers so the blade glowed. Almost immediately Emera began hissing and trying to shield her face, and then hissing turned to screaming as she started burning alive in the box before Joanne plunged the sword through and cleaved the demon in half, which turned to ash.

"Thank you," Adran smiled. Now they didn't have to deal with Emera or Urodor.

"I was... kicking Adran's ass." She looked down at her hand, where she was still clutching Urodor's soul gem, "How did I get this?"

Niudisa and her reflection dismissed the force box, letting the ash fall away. "Ah... Sweet silence."

"Mm. I don't know how you were stopped as I was fighting Urodor. He was struggling, so he chased after Raine for his badge. By the time I caught up, somehow you were using the badge to match him in size. The two of you fought and you were heavily wounded, but Urodor was beaten, after you which you ripped the gem from his chest and claimed it as yours. Then you passed out."

Joanne smiled and sheathed her sword, "If you have no further need of me, I have a mess to clean up." She turned to go about putting the camp back together from the brawl.

Jerry looked more and more confused as the explanation went on, looking down at the scarf around her shoulders and the badge, "I used that?" She took the scarf off, "Where's Raine?"

Niudisa took a moment to send her reflection back to the mirror before fluttering off.

“After the scarf was taken from her, she burrowed into the ground. I don’t know if she’s been found yet. Which reminds me, Poli shielded me from Urodor’s acid breath at one point, and I also don’t know what their condition is.”

"What?", Jerry looked panicked at the mention of Poli and Acid. That was twice in two weeks! "Where's Poli?"

Jerry nodded and darted out of the tent to go find Veo and Poli. Veo was still fussing over the mimic.

Asta followed after Jerry.

After the most recent potion, Poli started waving Veo off. “Alright, alright, I’m fine. The potion helps but I do regenerate.”

"No you're not!", Veo protested, "You're a quarter the size you were this morning!"

"Poli!", Jerry called, "What happened to Poli?"

"Urodor happened," Veo sighed, "And now they're refusing treatment for injuries."

“It’ll grow back! Eventually. I think... It doesn’t hurt anymore, so it should be alright, right?”

Veo shook her head and threw up her hands. "Fine, but if you start bleeding again you don't have a choice in the matter!" She walked off to go treat patients that wanted to be healed of their ills.

"How bad were you hurt?", Jerry asked, glancing back at Asta. He was unharmed, so Poli had succeeded in protecting him, at least.

“Pretty bad, but I feel like I’ve recovered. I haven’t tried taking a form since then.”

Asta spoke up. “They had formed a shield on the end of the sword form. The acid burned away the entirety of that shield.”

“Have I mentioned I hate acid?”

"Don't we all," Jerry shook her head, "Okay, try to take on a form, can you try my bodysuit?"

Poli nodded and got up to hop over to Jerry, forming up the bodysuit. They only managed to get about half of it before stopping. "Oh... I really am missing some mass..."

Jerry sighed, that was better than she'd expected, "It's okay, at least you can do that much," she nodded, "I don't need sleeves or leggings, save on mass where you can until we can get you something to eat, okay?" She turned to Asta, "Please tell me the acid didn't get anything else important?"

"Got it." Poli retracted what little they'd done of the sleeves and leggings, leaving only a leotard form.

Asta shook his head. "No, Poli is the only one who took a direct hit." He paused. "But I'm not sure if a missed attack might have hit something that's not a person."

Jerry gave a sigh of relief, that was good at least. "That's good," she looked around at the demolished landscape, "Asta, I think we might want to get ready to move on tomorrow morning instead of the day after, are you okay with our date being tonight?" If the spot was still intact. And she needed to talk to Niudisa about getting Jeri under control, too.

Well, it might take some energy. "We'll see," she winked and went to go see how Erina was doing and make sure the tents hadn't been damaged in the fight.

Asta smiled and rubbed the back of his neck before following after her.

Erina had recovered her hands and was back to work. The fight hadn't gotten near her area, so things were fine there.

"Is everything okay over here?", Jerry asked looking around the loom area, "Urodor and Emera didn't get over here, did they?"

Erina looked over and shook her head. "No. The others kept them busy fighting. We just helped Emil with his music."
