Fantasy Cursed Island

Jerry nodded, "Okay," she gestured to herself, "Poli's low on mass, so call me when you finish up." She looked around for anyone else that might have been screwed by the fight, but off the top of her head nothing else was.

Erina nodded. "Will do."

Most of what had been destroyed was the trees and the dirt. Raine nervously walking through camp. She wasn't convinced Urodor was fully gone. After all, she would've seen a body that big. Right?

Spotting Raine, Jerry went to the kobold, "Raine, what happened after I went down?" Asta had mentioned Raine being in the thick of it, so she figured the kobold would know the best of the group what had happened.

Raine jumped a bit as she looked at Jerry before letting out a sigh. "I went and hid when the dragon showed up, but he dug me out so I ran again. I found you knocked out near the pools and was checking on you when he caught up, saying I had something of his?" She shook her head. "I panicked and hit the badge, but then you woke up yelling something about 'mine' and snatched the scarf. Then you got as big as he was, so I hid underground again."

Jerry frowned, that didn't make any sense, she didn't remember any of that. "Jeri." She growned, "I really hate that dragon," she muttered. She shook her head, "Raine, sometimes when I take head damage, I switch places with the dragon soul, and I don't remember anything she does."

"Oh... So that was her then? Apparently she won, but I didn't see the other dragon's body. Oh, but that thing that was in the cage is dead."

Jerry shook her head, "That thing in the cage was the dragon, at least that's what I turned him into." She held up the soul gem, "This is what he is now." A fist-sized glowing blue rock. "I'd made him into a flesh golem once Niudisa extracted his soul into a rock because I thought he'd be useful, but apparently Emera was able to put him back in his real body, so this definitely isn't going back in a flesh golem." She shook her head. "i think I'm just gonna use it for a mana source." She pocketed the soul gem, and then offered the scarf back to Raine, "Sorry about the blood."

Raine took back the scarf. "It's fine, I've been covered in worse." She took a moment to put the scarf back on. "Oh, would Emera happen to be a really tiny person hated by everyone?"

"Ah. Yeah, she's dead, too. The paladin...ah...Joanne. She did something her sword and light and turned her to ashes."

"Well," Jerry looked around and pointed to a few rocks, "Sit down, it's a long story." She made her way over and sat down, going over how Erina has been making trouble since the party met her, how she's done nothing but scheme and complain, and on several occasions try to get the party killed.

Raine nodded and sat down to listen. At the end of the tale she gave a nod. "Yeah, now it makes sense. She had it coming. But she's not a problem anymore, right? She won't come back?"

"I don't know," Jerry shrugged, "Demons aren't my specialty, that's Joanne and Adran."

"The fiend will not be returning," Joanne piped, "She no longer exists to reassemble in the Hells."

"Alright, good to know."

The Shuffle's passed by about that time, both on all fours. One of them was sniffing at the ground as she walked. The other was following behind, carrying Urodor's former golem body in her teeth.

"Shuffle, what are you doing?", Jerry raised an eyebrow as the Shuffles passed by. Beri, still a cub, was following behind them, seeming more energetic than usual as he padded along.

The Shuffle with mouthful gave an incomprehensible answer before the other one spoke up. "We're gonna bury this and see what happens. Corona said burying things makes them grow."

Joanne and Jerry blinked. "Shuffle that's-"

"Go on, Shuffle," Joanne nodded, "Even a monster as Urodor deserves a proper grave."

Beri tripped over his paws, and almost did a frontflip, landing on one Shuffle's feet. He hadn't been that small and actively moving around in years, he forgot how clumsy cubs were.

The lead Shuffle nodded and continued on. The back Shuffle looked back as Beri fell against her. She stepped forward before trying to scoop him up with her tail fin.

Tiny Beri was only the size of a housecat, so scooping him up was easy, and got choked back laughter from the others as the cub tried to get up and balance on Shuffle's tailfin.

Shuffle smiled around the body in her mouth as she got Beri onto her tail before running to catch up with her reflection.

Joanne and Jerry looked at each other once they'd gone. "Don't ask, because I don't know," Jerry said pre-emptively.
