Fantasy Cursed Island

Niudisa looked at them as they returned before fluttering over. "Looks like it's working well." She smiled. "Just one more thing to check." She fluttered down to the ring, channeling a spell in her hand before she touched the ring. At her touch, Beri's fur changed, switching the color of his base coat with the color of his markings.

Beri looked down at himself and then looked up at Niudisa with a growl. "Fairy!"

"What did you just do?", Adran frowned.

-----------
Continuing on, Jerry stopped by her tent, "Poli, I'm going to need you off for a bit."

Niudisa smiled with satisfaction as she fluttered up from Beri. "I added a feature so that, with a simple spell, Beri's colors can be changed at will." She gestured over towards her work table. "I went ahead and wrote it down for you, so you should be able to learn it easily. Now, not only can Beri have his normal coat, but if need be, you can let him camouflage just about anywhere."

----------

"Sure thing." Poli pulled off and took their position next to the tent entrance.

"Turn it back!", Beri growled.

"RIng, you dumbass, try that first." Adran shook his head while Beri turned himself back and Adran took a look at the paper the spell was written on. "Hmm," normally he couldn't learn spells without a scroll to insert into his book. It was worth a shot, so he took the paper to try and slot it in.

-----------

"Thank you," Jerry nodded and walked off into the woods, vanishing soon after passing the tree line.

The page worked about the same as a scroll. The main difference was that Niudisa hadn't bothered to roll it up.

----------

Poli wasn't sure what Jerry intended to do, but they knew better than to pry. Instead, they just just switched to lockbox form and sat there.

"Well, that's good," Adran nodded as the book absorbed the page, "Thanks, Niudisa." By now Beri had figured out how to turn his color back to what he wanted, and was padding away before Niudisa could do anything else to him. "I guess he really doesn't like color changes." Adran shook his head and sat back down at his workstation. He'd got the better part of the arrows done, working on assembling a quiver to make the rest happen with.

"Seems like it. Now we've both got a fun little thing to mess with him with." Niudisa giggled before settling back onto her table.

Meanwhile, Erina was looking for Shuffle. She was usually moving around a lot, so she just headed for where she heard the most commotion.

Nyah was in the process of starting another game of hide and seek, but seeing as Erina was coming over with something she got the two little ones to stop running around in case Erina needed their attention.

Erina spoke up as she approached. "Shuffle, your outfit is done. But I need you to come over to my loom in case I need to adjust it. I had to make it a little bit complicated to fit you."

Shuffle gave a nod. "Alright." She hopped forward before following Erina back to the loom.

Nyah looked at Fia, it was hard to play a good game of hide and seek with just the two of them. "You want to go watch?", she asked, gesturing to Shuffle following Erina.

Fia nodded and followed after them.

When they reached the loom, Erina picked up a rather odd dress, yet very fitting for Shuffle. The design of the dress looked close to what one might see on a child, but several parts of it were reinforced with leather, which was dyed to match the rest of it. It was backless to accommodate her wings, with a strap to go across the top of the base of her tail. Once Shuffle was out of her old gear, Erina helped her get the dress on over her head and past her wings before adjusting the strap over her tail.

"It looks good," Nyah noted, she hadn't expected Erina to be a proficient clothingweaver. She'd seen her weave bands of cloth, but she'd been boxed again before she could see the fruits of any of Erina's labors. "Are you doing those for the entire party?" Obviously it would be useless for Nyah, she was made of smoke so it would just fall through her.

Erina nodded. “Yes, I am. I’ve already finished Niudisa’s, Lyak’s, Raine’s, and now Shuffle’s.”

Shuffle moved about once the dress was properly on. She still had all the freedom of movement as before. The skier of the dress was short and slitted, so she could even still go down on all fours.

“Ah... Jerry, Adran, Asta, Veo, Emil, Emfa, Joanne, and Fia.”

Fia tilted her head. “But you already made me something.”

“Yes, but I can still make you a dress to go over it. I’ll also need to ask Corona if she wants something. And I’d love the challenge of making something for Nalla, but she insists she doesn’t want anything...”

"Do you need any help with that?", Nyah asked, "My masters in the past have ordered I perform chores like weaving."

“Oh? Well, that would help it go faster. Most of the pieces just need finishing touches, but the pants for Emil, Adran, Joanne, and Emfa still need to be made.”

Nya nodded and sat down near the loom, "Do you require the loom for these finishing touches? And do you have any stored thread for me to use?"

"I shouldn't need the loom, and the extra thread is...here." Erina moved over to show where she kept her silk bundles.

"Ah, right." Erina had to take a bit to explain how she had their measurements organized. Whose was whose and which ones were which measurement.

Shuffle headed off to show everyone her new dress, with Fia following after her.

By Nyah's confusion at the measurements, only Erina would be able to keep track of those. "Uh-huh..." Nyah snapped her fingers and popped out a tailor's measuring tape to take measurements of the threads.

By now Asta and Joanne had settled into a rhythm, with Emfa watching. Nalla was nowhere to be seen, but her track record suggested she was a tree or a bird somewhere.

Nyah seemed to have it handled, at least, so Erina went to work on the finishing touches.

Joanne had been right about Asta being quick to learn. His motions were much more fluid now and there was less pause between swings.

Shuffle found them on her tour of the camp and sat down to watch as well.

Asta dipped his head. “Thank you. Using a tool to fight is strange, but the flow of battle is familiar.”
