Fantasy Cursed Island

“Woah...” For Raine, that was about the same as taking a piece of a god and becoming a demigod. She was at least aware that it wasn’t exactly the same, but still. “What would’ve happened if you took the whole thing?”

—————

Niudisa shook her head. “No, I got that part. I’m asking why it needs to happen for you to put the ring back on him.”

Jerry shrugged, "I don't know, I guess I'd become a full dragon, or something." She shook her head, "I really don't want to find out, though, I haven't heard from the other Jerry in almost a month and if I can keep it that way I will. I like keeping control of my own body."

----------

"My sleigh ring cannot be opened and adjusted to fit like a collar," Beri explained, "It is put on a cub once they reach a certain size so that as they grow into it, it fits well enough that it cannot be moved past their skull, it is a very secure attachment point for all harnesses and barding."

"What he said, I'd need him to drop," he eyeballed Beri, "I'm gonna say six to seven and a half years, maybe a little more, stick the thing on him, and dunk him back in the water to age him back up to fit."

“That’s fair.” Raine looked at her knife before holding ready again.

—————

“Mm. Sounds like a good time for everyone not involved.”

Jerry raised her sword, "Now lets try when your opponents on the offensive."

------------------

"You are one to talk, necromancer," Beri pointed out, "I would rather have one bath and never have to worry about this issue again to need one every three days to refresh the color."

"We can probably make it happen," Adran shrugged, "But it's gonna take a while, there's not a lot of space on the ring to store an enchantment."

Raine blinked before holding her blade more in front of herself, tensing up a bit.

----------

Niudisa waved her hand dismissively. "Leave that part to me. I'm pretty good at the little details."

"You've got a stronger connection to the feywilds anyway," Adran shrugged and returned to what he was doing, getting a blast of hot air to the face when he dropped the bubble. "I don't think it's supposed to do that."

"Well done. I'll still need you to get the base effect. Changing something's looks is your thing, not mine."

"Alright," Adran pulled out his book to the scroll of Disguise Self, "That's a spell to change your appearance. You can either take the whole thing, and let Beri change his coat whenever he wants, or a select part of it for a dedicated pattern." He looked at Beri, "Which one do you want."

"I would prefer my fur be back to normal, but I would not object to a version with more utility."

Niudisa nodded. "That sounds like the best option, in my opinion. Why settle for just what you need when you can have some extra?"

Beri shrugged, "It is better have a feature and not need it than to need a feature and not have it."

"That's the spirit," Adran nodded, "Go find something to do, we'll handle this." He pulled out the sleigh ring from his bag and set it on the table on top of the page in his Book of Secrets. "This is what we've got to work with."

Niudisa fluttered over to take a look at the ring and the book, working things through in her head.

Niudisa usually knew what she was doing when it came to enchantments, so Adran just returned to what he was doing, which involved a bunch of the magic crystals they'd been collecting so far.

As Niudisa was working out the enchantment, Erina headed past towards where Jerry and Raine were training, a folded piece of clothing in her hands.

Jerry and Raine's training was a bit dangerous to get closed to, by virtue of the dust Jerry had kicked up and the bladed randomly appearing just on the outside. After a while, they had to stop to take a break and a breather to let the dust settle so they could see to start again. "Oh, hey, Erina," Jerry waved.

Raine laid on her back once they decided to take a break, simply dropping the knife next to her. She glanced over when Jerry spoke up.

Erina dipped her head. "Hello. I've finished Raine's dress and was just coming to deliver it. Though she may want to wait until after training to put it on..."

"Alright," jerry nodded, "Raine we can take a break for a while, you've done good today." She smiled and put her sword away, "Erina, can I ask you a favor later?"

Raine just gave a thumbs up, laying where she was for a bit longer.

Erina looked at Jerry. "Sure. If you're not telling me now, I'll assume it's a private matter."

"Fair enough. I'll do what I can."

Raine eventually got up, picking up her knife and putting it away before walking over to Erina. Erina unfolded the dress to show Raine. It was simple and short, dyed a dark blue. To Raine, just the fact that it was proper clothing made it look nice. "...and this is mine?"

Erina nodded. "Yes, it is."

Raine took the dress in her hands to look it over before pulling it on over her head, only struggling when she had to get it past the scarf. Once she had it though, she looked down at herself and smiled.

"It's cute," Jerry smiled at Raine, "You're good at this, Erina." She took a drink from the water flask before offering it to Raine.

Raine blushed a little from the compliment before taking a drink herself.

Erina smiled. "Thank you. Look forward to yours as well."

"I am," Jerry nodded, "Are you busy right now?", she glanced around to see where Asta was.

"I still have work to do, but I can take a break to listen."

Asta was sitting nearby, having been watching the training session.

"Okay," Jerry smiled and waved at Asta, waving him over. "Uh, Asta has this collar," she gestured to the collar around Asta's neck, "It lets him turn into a human, and so far he's just wrapped a blanket around his waist and called it a day, I was wondering if you could help with that?"

Asta got up and walked over to them. Erina gave a nod as she listened before she smiled. "Of course. I'll have to measure his human form though."
