Fantasy Cursed Island

"What she said," Jerry agreed, smiling and pointing at Niudisa. TIny rage flickered across the newly-formed meat construct.

"YOU!", Urodor attempted to take flight to and eat the fairy, but a pair of daggers appearing on either side of his neck, pinning his head to the table, stopped that effort.

"Here's how it's going to go, Urodor," Jerry leaned back in a chair and crossed her arms as Veo left, not wanting to be a part of whatever debate those three had. "We've killed you once already. That gem in your back, that's your soul. At any time I can take it out and put you back to sleep, so you're gonna play nice and do what we say, and maybe I'll let you actually die at some point. You got that?"

"I cannot believe I thought you were attractive," the tiny dragon grumbled.

"As far as you're concerned I'm engaged," Jerry replied, taking her knives back, "Now, I believe you have information my friend here wants."

Niudisa nodded, resting her hands on her hips. “How did you keep the grove so clear of other creatures? There’s no way you could patrol all of that so efficiently on your own, and the place filled up way too quick once your old body stopped moving.”

Urodor sneered, "All creatures avoid the lair of a true dragon."

"Bullshit. You couldn't even handle Asta, and against a true dragon he'd have trouble. And you're a dragonewt."

Ego bruised, Urodor looked down, "Barrier talismans."

Urodor started laughing. "You don't get it, do you?" He chuckled, "The witch doesn't understand it."

"I can always throw you to the feeders," Jerry warned.

"While my body moves, mana moves through it. While mana moves through it, my talismans detect that I am still lord of this realm."

"I put them in young trees so that none could take them for themselves, and now that my body has died properly they are useless to you."

“Perhaps, but by examining what’s left of the talismans, we can make our own. Or, you can tell us how they’re made.”

"Good luck getting to them," Urodor replied smugly. Jerry planted a dagger in the table next to his head.

"Speak." Urodor rattled off a list of components, most of which the group had already or could get. "Good boy."

“Right then. I’ll go find Adran and see about getting that stuff gathered. Then it’s a matter of making them and setting them.”

Adran was fiddling around with a spell in Niudisa's work tent, working an image of the washing-barrel to be when Niudisa came in. True to his word, it seemed like it would fold into a small box no bigger than Erina's folded loom. "Did you get Jerry's 'no pants' enchantment?"

Niudisa paused for a moment. “Ya know, if I didn’t already know what you were talking about, I’d probably slap you on Joanne’s behalf. No, I didn’t. I got distracted working with her to get Urodor’s new body put together. You’ll be pleased to know he’s back among us and easily threatened. Turns out he was using barrier talismans. We already have a list of materials, too.”

"I knew it," Adran suspected some kind of repellent item. "Did he tell you how to make it?"

“We’ll get to that once we have all the materials together. I’ll need your help getting it all together since I can’t carry it.”

Adran nodded, "Alright, just let me scribble this down," he marked down some numbers and some words and some scribblings on a piece of paper, folding it away into his pocket, "So what do we need?"

Niudisa went ahead and started heading out of the tent as she listed off the items Urodor told them. “I suspect we’ll want to make several talismans, so we’ll need a good bit of each.”

"All that, huh?", Adran nodded, "Sounds about right," he scratched those notes down as well as he followed, "Well, we've got most of that."

“And the rest sounds fairly easy to find. Also, I’m thinking of calling him Urosmall now. Doesn’t sound as good as Urothrall, but I think it’ll bother him.”

"Eh," that one didn't sound to good, "You're a Small doesn't have the same ring as You're a Door or You're a Thrall."

Adran thought about that, but he couldn't come up with anything better, "I imagine everyone's gonna have their own name for him," he shrugged, "Looking at the list, the rest of the stuff is basically just lying around outside."

"Hmm, you go find Joanne, I'll go find Emfa," Adran went to go find the minotaur.

Both fighters were getting ready for bed in the massive tent. Nalla was walking around, continuing to attempt to figure out who was the leader of the group, and so was absent. The pallet bigger than Erina's bed took up the most space in the fighter's tent. "One of you two want to help me and Niudisa with something?"
