Fantasy Cursed Island

Niudisa fluttered around Adran’s head. “It’ll probably involve slaying creatures of corruption.”

Joanne nodded, going to take her armor and put it back on. Emfa picked up her axe and stood up, "Let's go."

Thoradin waved them off, his constructs opening the door so they could leave. Joanne and Emfa needed their light rings to see, and so could only see within a certain radius around them in the simulated night, while the two fey beings were able to get along through Niudisa's natural light and Adran's Devil Sight.

"We're looking for," Adran explained the pieces they needed, "Urodor was able to make this stuff at least forty years ago, so they can't be that hard to find."

Unfortunately, Niudisa’s light wasn’t as bright as any other kind of fairy. “Yep. Hopefully this will be a quick trip.”

"Happy hunting," Adran nodded, splitting off with Emfa and Joanne with Niudisa.

"I am not familiar with these materials," Joanne shook her head.

Niudisa shrugged. “I’ll handle finding them. I just need you to watch my back and carry stuff.”

"Hmm," Joanne gestured for the fairy to lead on.

The components themselves were relatively easy to find. Stones with certain magical signatures, wood and bark from specific kinds of tree, there was even fibers from specific plants in this thing. Whatever it was supposed to do, as much stuff as went into it it couldn't be very small.

Niudisa went about pointing out the ingredients to Joanne. She also did her part to fight off whatever creatures came their way. Once she felt they’d gathered enough, she led the way back to the forge to meet up with Adran and Emfa.

Carrying the materials in her shield as she had with the light geodes, Joanne and Niudisa came back to find Adran had used a Floating Disc to the same end, they had quite a supply of the materials.

"Good to see that worked," Adran nodded as the door was opened for the group to re-enter, "You guys have any trouble?"

"It is difficult to fend off attacks from outside the light," Joanne shook her head, "Fortunately, we are well equipped."

"You're telling me," Emfa nodded, gesturing to the ring on her horn, "Jerry had this the entire time?"

Emfa held up her arm, where there was still an infected rat gnawing futilly at the glowing field of the armor enchantment. "He's trying his best." And then she ripped the rat's head from it's body and threw the pieces back into the woods.

"Yep," Adran nodded, "Table," he deposited his floating disc of materials on the table before mana exhaustion kicked in and the warlock hit the bench.

"Erina, your elf is broken," Emfa called.

Erina glanced over. “Have you tried kicking- Oh. I’ll get him.” Just mana exhaustion. Erina walked over to move Adran away from where people might trip on him.

“I’ll let Jerry know we got the stuff.” Niudisa fluttered over to Jerry’s tent and just invited herself inside.

Emfa shook her head, "If that's all, I'm going to bed."

"Agreed," Joanne nodded.

-------------------------------
Inside the tent, the wooden cage Raine had been found in, althought somehow shrunk down to his size. Niudisa came in just as Jerry was throwing a sheet over it. "You guys get the stuff?"

Erina glanced over. “I suppose it is about time to sleep.” She glanced at Adran before taking him to their tent.

—————

Niudisa nodded. “Yep. Adran got it to the table out there before he hit the floor.”

"Good, Urotwit over here just told me how to build it."

"Screw you!"

"The feeders will get there before you do," Jerry kicked the cage, and turned back the Niudisa, "Do you have a spell that can make hiim shut up?"

“I’ve got a few, and I’m sure Erina does as well. Do you have a preferred type of shutting up?”

"Silence, preferably," Jerry shrugged, "if he strains his voice trying to scream through silence it'll by me a night or two of sleep."

"I'm not stupid."

"I've told you to shut up three times and stabbed you seven more, and you're still talking. You're a dumbass, now shut up."

Jerry pulled the sheet back so Niudisa could cast the spell, dropping it back once it was cast. "Thank you." She nodded, grabbing the bag, "Let's go make some talismans."

Niudisa nodded and headed back out.

By the time they returned to the unsupervised table, Shuffle had shown up and was sniffing at it like a dog moments before stealing someone’s steak.

"Shuffle, where's Asta?", Jerry asked as she set the bag of holding down to take materials and tools out.

Shuffle looked over. “Oh, he got tired and went to go sleep.”

Niudisa glanced around. “Seems like a lot of people are doing that. Why don’t you?”

“I’m not tired yet.”
