Crisis Prelude

Scarlet thinks, focusing. "This is...harder than it should be." She said, looking around. "Something is causing interference, but I think I have it down mostly." She says. "Give me...a little bit." She says.


There comes a rumbling as a defense robot arrives. "Take care of that thing!"

"Are you kidding me?" I raise a hand, firing off two or three bolts of lightning at the bot. "I can't keep this up!"

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"Well Im sorry! I can't go much faster than this!" She says. "This lifestream... somethings different about it! There's something...foreign in it!" She says, trying to force the lifestream out, which begins working a little bit but its clear its going to take a little bit.

"Damn the lifestream! WHAT ABOUT THIS BOT?"

Scarlet sighs and gets up. "Fine, you'll be taking responsibility if i fail the mission." She says, standing up and straightening her shirt a little bit, her hands cackling with electjricity. She throws a few bolts at the thing, circling the bot. "COme on, SOLIDER boy, surely you can take this thing on."

"OH REALLY?! Maybe you'd like to explain why my arms are black!"


Victor leveled the spear, hands shaking, at the mech.


"Waiting on you!"

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"Well if you would jsut let me heal you instead of whining about your strength!" She curses back. She jumps in the air, creating a blade out of win, and severs the robot. "There, now I'm almost done, try not to die." She says. "I'll heal you as sooas i can. How long d owe have until the charges explode?"

Victor checked his watch. "Six minutes at best, three at worst. I dunno what our travels may have done to it. What the hell are you doing, anyway?"

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"Well... it's... like trying to put a a large cork in a gyeser." She says. "I'm forcing something to stop that doesn't want to stop, so im tyring to... ah, run a pipe to divert the flow." She says. "But this time... its like something else is pushing back, so it takes longer."

"Five minutes...or two if my calculations were wrong." was all Victor replied with. He looked up. It's a shame that they had to blow this place, it was actually modeled pretty well.

 

[ValkyrieRose]

It takes another two minutes, and Scarlet sighs in relief. The ground visibly darkens, becoming completly barren. "Alright, let's go." She says, nodding and running out as fast as he can.

Victor threw himself out of range immediately before the reactor exploded. He landed face-up, completely spent. He sat up, touching the ground. "What have we done?" he asked. Then he fell back onto the ground.

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"We made this land infertile. Nothing can ever grow here again." She says. "and YOU destroyed a nations chance of fighting back against the Shinra corp. Welcome to the dirty bits." She laughs.


She kneels, looking at him, an dplacing her hands on his. "Im going to reduce the pin and stabilize your arms. Behave."

He laughed. "This ain't the first time I've had to neutralize the opposition, sister." He waited silently for the pain to come.

Scarlet begins to heal him, bit by bit, removing the infectd cells. "I've never seen such rapid growth of Jenova cells." She says, amazed. "Your body must be especially receptive to them... weird." She says, reducing more and more of the black

Victor gritted his teeth. "Or maybe there was just more from the start?"

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"I suppose, but if you went through the same process as everyone else, you shoudl have the same amount...maybe one or tell cells higher." Sh says. After a while, her hands stop glowing. "Ther...i did what i can. We need to get you to the lab as soon as this is over... but now we have an entire headquarters to get into... we can't destroy it, so we'll have to go covert...how do you feel?"

Victor sat up. "Better. And as the headquarters, I believe I've taken care of that." He pulled out a thumb drive, waving it a little. "This I requisitioned from the Technology Lab. It will destroy all data on a mainframe. So the only order of business is finding the right mainframe to destroy."

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"Alright good, so we have th method." She says with a nod. "We just need to find a way in.... your the SOLIDER, how would you get in?"

 

[ultimus9]

Victor got into the motorcycle. "Well, I'd go find myself a business suit, for starters." He grinned. "So they wouldn't see anything coming."

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"If that's the case, we need to get ready and head out. Rest as long as you need to, and we'll head out afterward.

 

[ultimus9]

"Okay." Victor revved the engine. "But I'll rest when I get home."

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"Don't overdo it." She cautions. "MY fixes are only temporary. If you don't have enough stamina the Cells will try to take over faster." She said. She looks around. "Wutai troops...we had better cler out of here as fast as we can."

"All right. Get on then. We're basically terrorists now!"

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"I've been called worse." She laughs as she makes a run for it. "We're basically criminals with paychecks, after all!" She says, continuing forward and back into the city. "Once we're in the city we jsut have to blend in- they wont know our faces."
