Crisis Prelude

Victor nodded. "Peaceful. Like a wilder version of Costa Del Sol. Never been myself, but I heard it's nice."

Scarlet nodded. "Most of my time i'm around big cities like Midgar, although lately my missions have been taking me further. It depends on what they nee to the most."

"Oh well..." He stared ahead.


"Where's this reactor anyway? Do they know?"

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"I remember the map they showed - it was the southwest region." She says, closing her eyes. "Tere is a surge of lifestream there... a big one, so that must be it." She says

"Wonderful," Victor said, "And I don't suppose you can use your sensor to find a car or something?

 

[ValkyrieRose]

scarlet shakes her head. "Things like that are a no go. I can only sense life." She says. "We'll have to sneak into town and grab one, somehow." She says, looking around. "WHOLE dodging all of these Wutai soliders."

Victor shook his head. "Figures." A few steps later, he had an idea.


"What if one of us were to fake being unconscious? Get in the town, blow cover, steal vehicle, and gun it southwest. Just a thought."

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"And have everyone on our heels in the process?" She sia.d "How are you still alive?" She asks as they near the town entrance. She pauses in thought. "I could navigate us around the town and avoid people until we find a vehicle we could stieal., i suppose."

"Well, I usually plan on getting the job done, then worry about what I wrecked in the process later. Your plan's sounds good, however. Who would ever suspect us?" Victor laughed humorlessly.

 

[ValkyrieRose]

Scarlet shares a slight smile. "Right..." She says, looking around. She closes her eyes. "This cit is huge for its size.


She says, skirting around a few buildings as they do.

Victor limped after her, watching behind her as they went. "They don't teach us Wutai geography in school, Scarlet. Hope you know that."

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"Ttue..." She said, having her back to the wall to avoid a man that was passing. "We don't exactly need a map of this place, though. Jsut a good car and... hey, you hcan drive a motorbike right?" She says, motioning toward a garage.

"Yeah, why?" Victor asked, narrowing his eyes. He stumbled over to the garage door, flicking the opening switch.


"Yup, I can drive this. Most definitely."

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"Great. Get it running because we have about... two mnutes before his owner shows." She says, getting behind him and hugging his waist." DOn't act TOO suspicious. We want a stolen vehicle to be all they care about."

Victor laughed. "In a while, a stolen vehicle will be the least of their worries." He gunned the engine, screeching out of the garage. He started following the southwest road. "Keep an eye out, and keep those Wutai folks off of me if they come."

 

[ValkyrieRose]

Scarlet nods, taking a breath as they speed up, exiting town. She closes her eyes, feeling for any signs of life. "We have some people incoming." She warns, She takes a breath, igniting one of her hands, and throwing in in the distance. When that misses, she causes the ground to uptoot as they pass, leaving the road cracked and spiky.

"Huh.. you're not so bad after all." Victor pointed up at a large monolithic hunk of metal. "I assume that is the reactor. Time to finish up this stupid assignment."

 

[ValkyrieRose]

"YOu talk as if this will be easy." She huffs. "I have to stop the entire lifestream and redirect it." She says. "YOU have to go blow up this entire place...then we need to storm Wutai HQ and erase all data. That wont be easy."

If only you knew, Scarlet, he thought. He parked the bike in front of the budding reactor, stepping off. He caught himself with his spear, and started walking inside.

Scarlet begins following hum, looking aroun. "My senses are dulled here. There is simply too much life for me to be able to focus on anything, so I won't be able to tell if someone is approaching. How do you want to do this? TDo you want to split up or work through this methodically?"

"Do what thou wilt." Victor says, limping into the main chamber.

Scarlet blinked. "Now much of a team player, hm?" She says with a nod. She looks around. "Right, you head to the core. Be careful, it's bound to be guarded. I'll had to where their diving into and stop the flow." She says with a nod

The Jenova cells were taking more of his cells, he decided. He hadn't felt this weak since his day 1 in SOLDIER. He still was able to wipe out the guards but he was gasping for breath when he got to the core. He took a chunk of plastic explosive out, and molded it to the center junction of pipes. He could feel unconsciousness creeping on him, and he began to pull himself to the exit.

It took Scarlet a little while to get to the very bottom of the reacotr. "This place is...different." She decided. It felt different than her normal interactions with the PLanet. It felt...twisted." She kneeled down, toching the groujnd, and closed her eyes, beginning to work her magiv.

Victor took the lift, breathing heavily. He rolled up his sleeves, checking the disease's progress. His forearms were almost entirely black. He really needed to talk with the Director about this. He saw Scarlet working some magic near the floor.


"I hope you're about done there, cause this place's about to go up soon.
