Fantasy Compromise Brings Delusion (Arranged Marriage) (Open/Always Accepting)

Tamara Esgard
Guard

With her hands folded on her lap, Tamara took a deep breath. She watched as the Princess left the carriage, and after her Rose. So much had happened two weeks earlier, from meeting the person in person, to an attempted assassination attack directed at the Princess, and finally becoming Teno's personal guard. The training was tough, and there was still some to do, but it would be more than worth it. Especially if it meant to keep further incidents from happening. If it hadn't been for Rose, who'd know where they all be now? Just thinking about the assassination attempt made her shudder. To her, it was a mystery. She couldn't possibly imagine who'd do such a brutal thing, especially to a person so kind to her nation. Tamara couldn't but shake her head.

She exited the the carriage after a while, standing to the right of Princess Teno, slightly behind her, in a straight posture with a serious face, almost like a watchdog. It was most likely visible to everyone that Tamara was nervous, but she didn't seem to be the only one. Looking around at the royals, she noticed the various emotions on their faces, ranging from mostly nervousness, to slight excitement. Literally everything but calmness. The merchants had their many exotic wares exposed, trying to catch the attention of the royals, and the public seemed to mostly enjoy this whole fest.

It wasn't too long until the first royal tried to get Princess Teno's attention. It turned out to be the Princess from the Water Domain who was waving at her, before turning around to talk to a rather mysterious guy. Tamara eyed her, although she was sure that she was no danger to anyone. She was mesmerized by her dress, it was as if she could see the waves in it. 'Snap out of it! You've got to focus!', she shook her head once more, trying to fixate on her primary 'mission': Keep Princess Teno safe.

Serenity Arkents
Best Friend to the Water Prince

Serenity was more than content that she had been invited by the royal siblings to this event. Despite her excitement, she couldn't but almost fall asleep in the carriage. She had barely gotten any sleep those last nights. Apart from the few noises the small House Hippo, that Kai had brought with her, made, the whole ride in the carriage had gone by with almost no conversation.

As they arrived, Kai was the first one to exit the carriage, and also the first one to run off. Serenity remembered how concerned she looked when they traveled to the Fire Kingdom just two weeks ago, yet now she seemed to be excited, looking around at the various stands of food and other wares. Serenity couldn't but smile. Unlike his sister, Kale seemed to be slightly more nervous, which was quite a catchy feeling.

"Compared to the Water Domain, the weather in the Fire Kingdom is feels way hotter, also drier." What seemed like stating a fact was a mere attempt to start a conversation to ease the mood. Serenity waited together with Kale in the carriage for just a while longer. There wasn't anything like a strict order in which they should exit the carriage, but she still saw it as a faux pas to exit it before the royals. She sighed lightly. "You're nervous... am I right?", she asked, or stated, to be correct, in a softer voice. She wanted to avoid talking about subjects that Kale didn't feel comfortable with, so she didn't dig any deeper. "Just you know, if there's anything you need to talk about, I'll always be there to listen!", she added with a comforting smile. "Now then, they're probably already waiting for you outside. Better not make them wait for too long."

Alice Raveran.jpg
"Remember, you are all representatives of the Industrial kingdom, as much as our beloved Daughter is. Every kingdom will be bringing legions of so called soldiers with them as a show of force, but we will show them all that the dozen of you are a show of overwhelming power. You've all been training for this day and know exactly what to do. DO NOT leave our Daughters side while she is walking the grounds freely, DO NOT cause any trouble, but DO respond to threats with extreme prejudice, and most importantly, ensure that our Son Benjamin comes to no harm. There will be severe consequences if he is harmed or embarrassed in any way! That is all!" The group of trained specialists vigorously cheer in unison as Syn turns to address Alice.

Syn's briefings were one of Alice's favorite parts about traveling to high pressure events. Syn had taken to commanding her specialist team very quickly, even fighting along side them as the situation dictated. The soldiers had been among some of the roughest soldiers when they were first recruited, but after years of harsh training and missions, they had become an unstoppable force among a sea of immovable objects.

"The same goes for you Alice. This alliance is delicate as it is without you trying to stir the pot."

Alice points to herself in a coy sarcastic manner, "Who me? I would never."

"Says the woman who wanted to attend in full military dress."

Alice looks down at her attire, decidedly happy that she had been talked out of her original idea. Instead of choosing to intimidate with blunt military scare tactics, she had chosen, instead, to intimidate using a more precise method. She wore, what she liked to call, her "zero negotiations" outfit. The outfit was composed of a deep black evening dress, accented with a fur stole made from a rare giant crimson wolf she had killed herself while out on a mission. She even wore her intimidating 3" heeled pumps, with lace around the opening, to add to her already above average 5'9" height. This exact outfit had shot down a countless number of suitors, as well as intimidated many of the week willed dregs at high society balls. "You don't need to worry about me, our entire upbringing has prepare me for this event. Besides, they're all just inexperienced children, I'm not a monster. Now if you'll excuse me, I'd like to speak with my younger brother before we land."

Alice makes her way up the stairs, expertly maneuvering up the small metal stairs with her heels. As she makes her way to the deck of their esteemed airship, she looks around for her brother Benjamin. She did not have much of a chance to speak with him before boarding the ship, so she wanted to check in with him before the social battle began.

Kale Baymoon
Water Prince

Sitting across from Kai and Serenity, Kale could tell his little sister was nervous. She kept readjusting the smallest of things on her dress and her crown of water lilies, just as he himself was doing with his outfit. Holding his gift to his betrothed in his lap, Kale looked out the window at the Homeland. His big sister loved this place, and he was sure she would've loved to see it blooming. The gift that Kale had was a certain type of perfume that smelled like the ocean, at least in his opinion. His sister had loved it, before she passed away. Looking at the sky, Kale noticed that the weather was clear, as usual because of the magic surrounding the place.

As the carriage pulled to a stop, Kale watched Kai get out as she said, "It's now or never, no way she's a bigger pain in the butt than me." Chuckling slightly, Kale followed his sister out, putting the box with the perfume back in his pocket. Kale didn't usually dress as lavishly as he did today, but he knew that half the first impression is clothing. Seeing Kai in her dress, holding Hope in her hands, waiting for Princess Teno by the gazebo just reminded him even more of why he needed to meet with the Fire Prince. That was his baby sister, and she was engaged at 17, to a man she didn't even know.

Looking around for Kurt, Kale saw him speaking with someone in a cloak. Walking over to the Prince of the Fire Kingdom, Kale tapped his shoulder once he was done talking to the cloaked person. "
Prince Kurt." Kale said, bowing.

Kurt Wycleff
Fire Prince

"Well I assure you they would not use their weapons unless they are provoked." Kurt said, then he lifted his hand and gestured towards the men behind the girl. "I'm sure that these fine fellows would do the same if someone were to act threatening, would they not."

It about then Kurt's attention wandered behind the girl, as he stared right past her, and he didn't exactly hear the guard who made the remark.

What he was more focused on was, and all those who was facing in the same direction could see, a dwarf plummeting stright to the ground like a rock. It would seem that Stormhammer had lost his balance and fell off Solar, falling to the ground. Luckily, dwarfs are tough beings, and a fall like that only left some bruisers and a bad temper. What made it more comical was that the Bright hadn't even noticed, instead he kept flying forward as if nothing happened. The dwarf got up and start to shout at the top of his lungs in his language while shaking his clenched fist furiously into the air, before he started chasing after Bright and Solar.

It was then Kurt returned his attention to the clocked girl in front of him at the moment, catching the part about not needing assistance.

"Well, young lady, enjoy the rest of the festival." Kurt nodded before turning back to his sister and her group.

"She's seemed lovely didn't she." Kurt said to Teno with a smile as the clocked girl walked away. "I wonder, which one of the noble families she belongs to. Must be from the Dark Kingdom, judging by the company she keeps, you think her family's in the textile business?"

The great sword guards were disciplined and professional enough not to voice their opinions out loud, least not right in front of their charge. Their job was to protect their charge and that's the only thing they are trained to focus on when on duty. But there are times on the job where they really wished they could say somthing, this was one of them. Instead, most of them simply glanced at him, but kept their comments to themselves as they sighed inwardly.

It wasn't really a secret that Kurt could be quite dense at social events, and most people are too polite to say anything, least most people are.

Before anyone could get a chance to correct Kurt, he felt a tap on the shoulder. Turning around, Kurt's face brightened up even more then it was.

"Well if it isn't the water prince! In the flesh and blood." Kurt beamed, as he gave a light laugh, before extending his hand in greeting.

Teno Wycleff
Fire Princess

"Boo!" Said the girl in the cloak. Teno let out a scream, her nerves already shot. She clutched the small box in her hands tighter, flames appearing alongside the backs of her hands. Her fire creation was heavily tied to her emotions, something all her teachers were trying to get her to stop doing. Her flames burned protectively as her guard swarmed around her, including Rose and Tamara. It wasn't long before her beloved brother swooped in to save the day. The guards didn't exactly stand down, but instead swarmed behind her. The flames on her skin cooled and vanished. She reached for Rose's hand and held it, squeezing her for strength.

Teno watched as her brother began to defuse the situation with the mystery girl. He looked strong and handsome, just like their father. His trusty griffon was not far away, nor his retinue that he had managed to sneak in with him. She noticed his matching crown and felt a small bit better. They had each other. If things got really bad she would just run to her brother and they could escape on Dawnwing and fly back to...

Teno had almost not noticed the beasts begin to form around the cloaked girl. She felt her breath catch as she backed up into Rose and Tamara, still clutching Rose's hand. Teno refused to look at the beasts, terrified to discover which monster was her future husband. Someone from that side made a joke about the girl being the Dark Princess and Teno's eyebrows shot a mile high. But she... she looked so normal? She watched as the young girl walked away, still avoiding the gaze of any of the Dark Realm citizens.

"She's seemed lovely didn't she. I wonder, which one of the noble families she belongs to. Must be from the Dark Kingdom, judging by the company she keeps, you think her family's in the textile business?" Said Kurt to Teno. Teno's shot a look to Rose.

She knew her brother was thick, but what had he been doing during the whole conversation? Before she had the chance to speak with him, Prince Kale of the Water Domain greeted Kurt and his attention was turned there. She looked up at her brother, holding the small box in her hands. At first glance someone might not even believe that they are siblings. He looked so strong and powerful and she was... fragile.

From the corner of her eye she noticed Princess Kai and an unfamiliar girl over by the gazebo. Kai called her over, and Teno was about to go, when she noticed the Dark Princess also move toward the gazebo. Looking around at the group of guards, she figured it might be best to summon them to her. She turned to Tamara. "Tamara, dear, would you mind telling Princess Kai that I am... not quite able to leave my spot at the moment?" She asked, a shake still audible in her voice.

She turned back to Rose, finally releasing her hand. "I forgot to tell you, but you look so lovely, Rose." She leaned in to her and whispered, "Maybe they would think you're the Fire Princess and I could just run so far away from here." She was half joking as she said it, but she knew that she could be honest with Rose. She trusted her. After all, Rose had saved her life!

She watched Tamara and the far off Water Princess. The Industrial Children had yet to make their appearance, nor had her future husband. Neither had her friends Vincent or Devon Bronson. She felt small flames grow from her fingernails and lick at her cuticles. Her heart was still racing. She should sit down soon. But it was impossible to take so much as a step without her guards. While she loved each of them, it was smothering.

"What do you think of the sister in law?" She asked Rose as she gently patted out the fires on her fingers.

Flynn Wulfgar
"To Be Revealed"

Flynn watched as the Royal families began to pour in. So far he counted the Fire Kingdom, Water Domain and part of the Dark Realm. He had pulled the pen and notepad out of his pocket to make notes on the festivities when a soft voice perked up beside him, "Hi there, I'm sorry to interrupt your thought, but have we met? I usually don't forget a face." Flynn turned to the source of voice and was pleasantly surprised to find it was the Water Princess Kai Baymoon. He tucked his pen and paper away and set his glass on the table.

"Oh no interruption, Highness," he said with a deep bow. He took her hand in his and kissed the top gently. "You may perhaps know me, I am the royal musician for the wedding. Flynn Wulfgar. A pleasure. Might I say you look exquisite this morning."

He had his charming smile in place. Now was a perfect opportunity to get to know the Water Princess and incorporate it within his music. He plucked up his pen and paper and began to scrawl away in the book, crossing out bits that didn't work. Which were, unfortunately for him, most of them. His eyebrows were knitting together when yet another sweet voice spoke with him. "Are you alright? Performance jitters?"

He looked up from the notebook to have yet another lovely surprise. It was the face of the Dark Princess. Two princesses right in front of him, speaking with him? Maybe this song would come together just fine. "I find that chewing on a mint leaf helps calm me down before a performance." He tucked away his notebook once again and turned to the Dark Princess.

"Mint? Now that is a novel idea," he said. "Allow me to introduce myself to you as well, Princess Draven. I am Flynn Wulfgar, royal musician for the wedding. You are as smart as you are beautiful, Princess. My nerves are a bit... shot." As with Kai, he extended his hand and kissed the top of hers gently, then dropped into a deep bow. "It is an honor to have you both here. What, might I ask, brings two lovely ladies into my company on such a beautiful day."

Kale Baymoon
Water Prince

"Well if it isn't the water prince! In the flesh and blood." Kurt said, extending his hand to shake. "The one and only!" Kale said, grinning and reaching out to shake his friend's hand. "So, how've you been? It's been a while since I've seen you guys. Kurt, can we... Talk? Just for a minute." Kale asked, looking around for a semi-private spot to speak with the prince of the Fire Kingdom.

Benjamin Raveran
Industrial Son

Benjamin was in the hanger bay of the airship, sitting on a crate tinkering with what seemed to be a decrotive box in one hand and a screwdriver in another, he was tinkering with said box. For once, Benjamin wasen't looking all scruffy, rather today he was dressed quite formally. Though unlike his sister, his outfit was much more civilan. Benjamin even had a bowler hat with him, to which he attached his goggles to, sitting on the box next to him.

Standing next to the boy was a large man in blue uniform, who had a scruffy looking brown mustache, standing next to Benjamin. His title was sergent Henry Colemen, and he was Benjamin's personal guard. The man had been in the Industrial Kingdom's marines, and had watched over Benjamin since he was a little boy. To the other side of Benjamin, a relatively handsome man and well dressed man with a rifle to his back, who also had black sideburns and also a mustache, was leaning against one of the taller crates. His name was Jean-Philippe Pélissier, a aristocratic son, who Benjamin had met through his time at the senate, and was one of the few aristocrats who support his push for reformation. He also held a title within the conscription army, as CO ranking lieutenant, today assigned to Benjamin as a personal guard. And right behind Benjamin were three men, one was a pilot named Fredrick Kiber, the same man who had introduced Benjamin to flying all those years ago. He was currently working on one of the transport blimp, as they may not have a place to land. The other two were simple crewmen who were laboring about, helping the pilot with the transport blimp.

"So, mousier Raveran is off to marry a princess, how incredibly romantic!"
Pélissie said with an accent that was uncommon but not rare in the Industrial Kingdom. "It is like a tale from one of those women's novels, oh, and to think, I get the chance to witness such a special occasional. C'est tellement merveilleux!"

"Uh, yeah, it's wonderful." Benjamin muttered, a bit too focused on the thing in his hand at the moment, prompting Pélissie to roll his eyes.

When Alice had entered the hanger, Henry was the first to noticed, and stood at attention. Pélissie smiled, before pushing himself off the container and did the same. Ferdrick and the crew were a bit occupied with the transport blimp to really notice, and Benjamin was trying to screw somthing tighter on the thing he was working on.

"Madam." Henry said, as he gave a salute. Pélissie did the same, but his stance was a bit more relax compared to the sergeant.

Kurt Wycleff
Fire Prince

Before the water prince said anything, Kurt took the water prince's hand and brought him in for a shoulder hug, giving hearty laugh as he did so.

"So, how've you been? It's been a while since I've seen you guys."

"Oh, we've been managing, given the circumstance." Kurt said as he released Kale, putting his free hand on his hip.

"Kurt, can we... Talk? Just for a minute."

"Oh?" Kurt said, raising an eyebrow in concern. "Well, I don't see why not."

Turning to his sister and her group, Kurt said to her. "Sister, if you would excuse me for but a moment, there is somthing Kale and I must talk about. If you wish, go on ahead and enjoy the fair, I'll catch up shortly."

With that, Kurt used his head to gesture Kale to follow him. Kurt was able to read Kale's intent, this probably had somthing to do with their last meeting. The fire prince took the lead, striding over to Dawnwing, who was presently lazing about watching the festival take place. On arrival, Kurt began to rub Dawnwing on the side, causing the griffin to make a relaxed noise, before looking at Kale. t looked like the fire prince was just showing the water prince Dawnwing, but Kurt knew under this guise they could talk a bit in confident.

"So is there anything particular you wanted to speak about?"
Kurt asked, as he continued to rub Dawnwing.

2a6e80328b16b90baa0bf4d90b66e2b5--shorter-hair-anime-people.jpg It was busy busy BUSY for Rein ever since hearing about the royal children and their betroths. Honestly he barely saw Princess Kai and that is just sad, considering he is her personal servant. But he had to make sure everything is ready for when they leave, make sure Princess Kai would have everything she needed and wanted as they make a new home in the Industrial Empire. He just hopes that the Industrial prince is sweet...not likely.

He was really surprised that Princess Kai invited him to come with her, her brother, and Serenity to the Betrothed children's first meet up. It's an event he believed only those important enough will go and he certainly was not important enough to attend; but he accepted the invitation with grace. Perhaps she knew about him volunteering to come with her so she wouldn't be alone in the...new land...

Boy, it's going to be awkward if any of the Industrial royal family knew of his true bloodline...

With the important event finally here, the Kelpie changed his form and jogged along the carriages where the royal children and their friend are riding in. Rein didn't mind as he loved to run and swim; it's his favorite hobbies.

When they arrived to the event in Homeland, the only riderless and black horse with seaweed decorating his mane morphed, his form growing shorter and standing on two feet instead on four hooves behind the carriages. There, standing with effortless suave and charming demeanor, is a tall young man with a lean figure. The soft winds blew his purple-ish black hair gently, emphasizing his narrow ice blue eyes and the bright red gems with gold loops for earrings. A deep blue robe wrapped over his shoulder and around his waist, pinned with a bright sapphire gem that seemed alive with water inside. Underneath is his usual black sleeveless turtle neck and black pants with boots. The single braid in his hair tied in a bright blue ribbon. Basically he looks like a fancy version of a monk with a blue robe that flared behind him from his sash.

He grinned, a bit excited as he never went to formal events like this before until he heard a girl screaming and then a bunch of men demanding something before quietening down. Frowning a bit, Rein peeked around the carriages to see Princess Kai talk with a strange man before trying to catch Princess Telo's attention. He breathed in, calming his nerves and gathering his courage, and came out from his hiding place; walking next to the Princess he is to look after for.

"Princess," Rein quietly greeted with a soft nod, a charming and teasing grin appeared on his face again. Masking his nerves of meeting other royals and important people. "I hope you had a pleasant ride here?" He asked, not wanting to catch any of the jumpy fire guards' attention. He didn't want to be in trouble already. The Kelpie servant has heard of the Fire Princess' assassination attack through the gossiping maids and butlers and guards; he didn't blame anybody in the Fire Kingdom for being this jumpy since then.

His ice blue eyes watched the Kale go up to the Fire Prince and walked away with him before focusing on the princess again.

fa1c578c8d6b9dd3bc3fc2d03cb22ac0--anime-hair-long-hair.jpg When the Hippogriff Devon was riding on landed on the ever beautiful Homeland, a tiny snow white fox sprinted next to him with blue fire surrounding her ankles, yipping in pure excitement. Then with a small puff of smoke and quiet 'thump' to the ground, appeared a small girl with wide curious blue eyes, mouth opened wide in amazement. Her wild white hair flowed around her body as she swayed in place, delicate hands curled and pressed under her chin; her tiny teddy bear with an eyepatch on it's left eye swayed with her, easily seen from the inside of her huge dark hood that has gold trimmings. Her fox ears twitched and three her red-tipped tails swayed after her body did.

Yoko couldn't help herself; she was excited to see Mr. Devon's creations for the Princesses who hired him and she gets to help too! The little kit was so happy that the cat tailor finally agreed to let her come with him under the rule that she doesn't cause trouble, which she agreed quickly before spinning around and hugging him tight.

It's her dream to learn under Mr. Devon ever since she saw one of his earlier designs up on the store window and she followed where he would head next. When she finally found his main shop in the Fire Kingdom, Yoko always said hi to the gentlemanly cat everyday and asked him questions about what techniques he uses for sewing and creating beautiful dresses. When she learned about the special event that's happening and after overhearing him read the letter, the little kit popped right in and asked if she can come with him to help set up the dresses for the princesses.

Yoko spun in place again, yipping her laugh as she looked over at the cat tailor with a wide and bright smile. "Mr. Devon! We're here! I can't believe we're actually here!" Her ears twitched again; the one gold and transparent gem earring on her left ear jingled a bit from the movement. "See, Captain Eyepatch? We're really here!" She said to the tiny teddy bear in her hood before her gleaming blue eyes looked over at the beautiful land.

KAI BAYMOON
Water Princess

nagi-miuna-32.jpg

"Oh no interruption, Highness," Kai blushed ever so softly as he kissed her hand. "You may perhaps know me, I am the royal musician for the wedding. Flynn Wulfgar. A pleasure. Might I say you look exquisite this morning." It was then that she remembered Flynn, he had visited the palace some time back to talk with her family about the wedding music. Kai was still being extremely unreasonable then, and had refused to leave her room. Still she had sneaked a peak or to into the music room curious to hear what he had in mind then. She still felt slightly hesitant to actually talk to him about the wedding music, her current method of coping was just to ignore the wedding and pretend she was just attending fabulous parties instead. Kai was about to reply to Flynn's compliment until she was interrupted by another. As always Kai recognized the face of the Dark Princess immediately, and judging by her attire Kai connected that she was the one that caused all the commotion with Teno and Kurt just a moment ago. It was now that she began to feel even more uncomfortable and started turning and looking around for any excuse to leave the conversation without seeming rude. Kale seemed to have disappeared with Kurt, so there went that option. Looking towards Teno again she noticed a Fire Kingdom guard heading her direction, Thank goodness!

"It is an honor to have you both here. What, might I ask, brings two lovely ladies into my company on such a beautiful day." Kai returned to the conversation a bit distracted, in wait of the guard or anyone to remove her from it. "Oh thank you so much for your service to the Water Domain and please do call me Kai or Princess Kai if you like 'your Highness' is my mother it is such a lovely day isn't it?" Kai's words were superfluous and she knew it, but she couldn't stop, "It's so nice to meet you too Princess Penelope I've heard so much about you and your lovely Kingdom," she lied then looked to both of them,"I'm so sorry I really must go my water needs some hippo perhaps we can talk more later!" Kai felt beyond awkward and walked away from the pair straight to meet the guard halfway without looking back, her face felt hot and red, and her whole body was shaking. She didn't realize Rein had been standing next to her the whole time.

_Devon Bronson_
- Table beside Lucine's, Homeland -

"Yes, we are." said Devon to the kitsune, smiling. "A little more to the left." he said to his hippogriff, as he held his jaw with a paw in thought. His stormy grey mount, who was in front of him nudged a table with a hoof a little more to the left. "Stop --- now, just a little bit forward --- wait a moment." he stepped back a couple of paces to see if his clothes stall looked good in the distance. "Brilliant, that'll do, Trost."

Trost the hippogriff trilled in satisfaction, his grey tail swishing, then cantered off to dig for earthworms beside the tailor's stall. Devon took a breath of the fresh air. It was his first time here and my was he looking forward to looking at the gilded orb close up and talk with all the different people here.

He had come with his assistant, Koko, a kitsune. And his bodyguard Sabaton. Because he was working on two wedding dresses, he had brought along his sewing machine and materials to continue working on it secretly, while Koko manned the stall. Right now the tailor was whistling a tune as he set up shop next to the table of a presentable white-haired lady, who seemed to be a representative of an orphanage.

"Good morning." he greeted her amiably, as he began assembling mannequins for the clothes on display today. "Quite a spread, isn't it?" he nodded at all the stalls and everyone assembled here. "It's like a festival of sorts, there are so many new things." He looked at the name of the orphanage she represented.

_Jotunheim_
- Dark Realm, Months ago -

" Well, good job. We got all the furs we need." It was then upon looking down that Devon realized he was only wearing his leather gaiters over his pants and boots, and someone's winter blanket like a cape. "Who shaved my fur?"

For all the fur on his chest and belly were gone and an angry face had been painted there in ash and red berries, with his belly button being the mouth.

"You did." chuckled Farlan's muffled voice from under a pile of snow. The werewolf shook snow off his head like a dog. "You were dancing around the fire as the fire god, you even took a picture in that box camera of yours you got from the Industrail Empire."

Devon burst out laughing. "I don't remember that at all! Good gods, that coal-ale." he looked back down at his bare chest. "What else did I do?"

"I think we had a dare to see who'd last longest outside in the cold with just our undies. And you were talking about how brave you were, because you donated blood?" The Purrsian just chortled at that.

With their mission complete, they spent the day celebrating with more of that ale and mammoth meat from the one Sabaton hunted. They smoked some for the trip back while, then helped Farlan pick Odin Fruits. The next day, they packed up and started the hike back through the land of the giants and into the ancient underground city, where Farlan shared his idea of looking for more ale and then dumping it in the Nerubian's water supply to see if getting them drunk would make it easier to pass through safely.

When they reached the Dark Realm and the tundra werewolves shook paws and hands with them good-bye, Devon sent a letter to some associates, who met him and Sabaton with his reward money in the Industrial Empire. "It has been a pleasure working with you, Sabaton." smiled the tailor, extending a paw to shake. "Though I wonder if you wouldn't mind me taking one last picture with you?" Devon had taken pictures of their journey, but he never had one with the berserker here in the Industrial Empire.

Kale Baymoon
Water Prince

"Yeah. I was wondering if we were still trying to shut down the weddings of our kid sisters." Kale said nervously. "If we are, it's gotta be soon. We've only got 25 days left." Playing with the hem of his shirt, Kale reached out to see if Dawnwing would allow Kale to touch him. "And, I mean, we could, ya know, see how it goes, and see if they actually want to marry the princes, but... We should still at least make a plan, right?"

It is rather concerning that the princess didn't even hear what he greeting or notice he was there at all. Rein looked on, standing next to Kai, and waiting in case she needed something. He looked at the red head musician, then at the Dark Kingdom's princess before going back to the flustered Kai.

"It's so nice to meet you too Princess Penelope I've heard so much about you and your lovely Kingdom,"

Rein made sure to keep his face stoic as possible while the Princess rambled on. He didn't know what was going on, only that Kai was getting more and more flustered. His worry increasing as he noticed the odd mistake in her sentence.

"I'm so sorry I really must go my water needs some hippo perhaps we can talk more later!"

When she ran off to 'hippo her water', Rein politely nodded at the man and bowed at the princess, excusing himself. "Pardon, I have to help Princess Kai with watering her hippo." Then he calmly walked to where Princess Kai ran off to; towards the fire kingdom guard halfway and he sighed in dismay once he knew the pair wouldn't hear him. Once he reached the flustered royal and fire kingdom guard, he leaned down to her height so he doesn't scare the already flustered and red-faced princess.

"Your highness?" Rein started with a small frown, looking worried before grinning a bit like a cat who caught a canary. "I believe someone familiar is calling for you." He gestured at Rose who's waving her hand at the water princess.

"If you like, I will keep you company until you don't need it anymore." Said the Kelpie servant, his tone is soft and warm. He just wants her to enjoy herself as much as she could even though...the event is for her marriage to a stranger. Like the rest of the royal kids in this event.

"Yes, we are."

Yoko giggled when she saw Devon's smile before he went back to his stall and fixing it. She looked on the beautiful scenery and breathed in the fresh air, letting it go noisily as a happy sigh. Her ears twitched and turned behind her as she listened in on her boss finished setting the stall. Then after a few more seconds, she spun around and walked behind the stall and table to help set up the rest. The kitsune set Captain Eyepatch on the tabletop before unpacking the items he needed. "Stay there, Captain. Keep watch!"

The tiny girl looked over and smiled at the neighboring young lady who also have white hair like her and a red hooded cloak. "Good Mornin'!" Then she poked the cat's tail lightly, catching his attention.

"Where do I put this?" Yoko mentioned the sewing machine and materials that were still in the cases. As she understands it, he wanted to add a few more touches to the dresses without anyone watching. "Should I make a tent so you can do your thing, Sir?"

Alice Raveran.jpg
Alice walked around the massive airship, following the signs leading to the hanger. She may not spend as much time with her brother as she'd like, due to their busy schedules, but she knew him enough to know she'd find him tinkering with something down there. Alice enters the hanger, spotting her little brother surrounded by his personal guard. She was happy to see he'd agreed to them, knowing home much he valued his space. She walked up to the motley crew, when one of them noticed her.

"Madam"

Alice struggled to remember the man's name. She was surrounded by so many people trying their hardest to force her to remember their names, that at a certain point, she simply stopped trying to remember. "At ease....Henry!" she half shouted suddenly remembering his name. "No need to be so formal, I won't be your madam for much longer." Alice laughed, knowing full well that the joke was in poor taste, but she had hoped that they would find some solace in knowing that she had already accepted her fate and could still laugh about it. "I hope you all don't mind, but I just need a quick word with my brother."

Alice waited until the men had walked away before approaching her brother. "Hi Benji, I see you're tinkering with something. I just wanted to see how you were doing before we landed. Are you looking forward to meeting your fiance?" Alice looked at the decorative box in his hands, admiring the craftsmanship, wondering what was inside. "is that for her?"

Benjamin Raveran
Industrial Son

Pélissie seemed amused by the situation, but he was the first to speak of the men. "Of course, madame, take all the time you need." The sergeant simply gave her what look like a neutral look, before saluting her once more without a word, before making an about face and walking away, followed by Pélissie. The two of them soon blended into the background, seemingly standing over Ferdrick as he and the crewmen worked.

Benjamin didn't look up, he was still fiddling with the box in his hand. The box itself was decorated, albeit a bit haphazardly, with a wind up gear attached to the side. But the handle itself was a small diamond, perhaps one of the only times Benjamin has used such a thing for somthing as small as a handle, but he felt that the box itself may not impress the girl as much. He had the box open, on closer inspection he was tinkering with one of the screws connecting the gears. Inside the box, there was a wide variety of stuff. There was what looked like an island in the middle with a castle on top, surrounding it what looked to be metal oceans and beneath the metal cutouts of the oceans appeared to be various sea creatures, mostly dolphins.

Benjamin didn't have much reference of the water kingdom other then what the soldiers had told him, and of all the accounts he heard there was only one story that was not absolute murderous, and it envolved dolphins

It took him to finish what he was doing, before he realized he was being talked to and looked up.

"Oh, hi sis, uh, yeah, I guess I'm excited." Benjamin said before looking down to his feet, before muttering more to himself. "Isn't everyday that you get married to a stranger..."

His eyes then fell upon the box he had been working on. "Yeah...this is for her...it's a music box...I hope she likes it." Benjamin kept looking at the box, he seemed a bit nervous, almost scared. Perhaps it was the thought of what the stranger he was going to marry going to think of his gift.

Benjamin then thought of somthing, before looking up at his sister. "Did you get your fiance anything?"

Alice watched her little brother work, his hands were as quick and skilled as ever. She looked over the box, admiring the work he put into all the ocean themed items. The look on Benjamin's face was a familiar one, Alice understood that he needed to work through the problem before continuing their conversation.

"Oh, hi sis, uh, yeah, I guess I'm excised." he said finally looking up.

She smiled at him, not knowing what to say, a rare occurrence for her.

"... it's a music box... i hope she likes it. Did you get your fiance anything?"

"What are you talking about, he's got your big sis, the best present someone like that could ever hope to receive." She said forcing a smile on her face. "...I think Kaylee is making something. I'm not quite sure what it is, she said she'd give it to me once we've arrived at Homeland." The two sat in awkward silence for what seemed like hours. She had no idea what to say to her brother. He was still young, he had his whole life ahead of him, but now he was being forced to marry a complete stranger. They hadn't even talked about her leaving yet, it was a subject she'd been trying to avoid.

Alice stood up and let out a large sigh. She walked up to Benjamin, placing her hands on his shoulder.
"Listen Benji, I know things look bad right now. Neither of us wants to be in this situation, but these are the cards we've been dealt." Alice briefly paused to adjust her brother's bowler hat. "It'll be fine Benji, we have red hot metal in our blood, we can conquer anything." She smiled confidently at Benjamin, hoping her energy would motivate him. "Besides, how bad can she be? They're a kingdom full of spiritual intellectuals."

Rose Vindell 2.jpg
Rose continued to take deep breaths, her hands still shaking from the adrenaline. As she regained her composure, she felt Princess Teno grab her hands. She could still feel some residual heat as the disturbed princess squeezed her hands tight. Rose, suddenly realizing how selfish she'd been, reassuringly squeezed Teno's hand back. After the attack, Rose had only thought of how she'd been affected, not once thinking about how the assassination attempt had affected the actual attempted victim. Teno just seemed so cheerful, Rose assumed she was fine.

Teno squeezed her hand again, trying very hard to avert her gaze from the apparent Princess of the Dark Realm. Rose looked up, seeing her monstrous guard begin to gather behind her. She recognized a lot of the creatures from her time in the Dark Realm, although the princess was a first for her. She had spent most of her time in an underground facility, never really paying any mind to the goings on outside. Rose could only watch in sadness as her new friend struggled with simply being in the presence of strangers. She wished there was something she could do to help.

"I forgot to tell you that you look so lovely, Rose. Maybe they would think you're the Fire Princess and I could just run so far away from here."

Rose blushed at Teno's kind words, happy that the redness in her face was not easy to notice against her dark skin. "Thank you so much your highness, but I should be thanking you for picking out this beautiful dress. I can honestly say I have never worn something so amazing." Rose spins in a circle spreading fragrant petals into the air as the dress catches in the wind.

Teno leans in close and whispers,
"What did you think of the sister in law?"

Rose quickly puts her hand over mouth, attempting to stifle her laughter. "What a piece of work. But if anyone can handle her, it's your brother. But no matter what her brother is like, I promise you that you won't go through it alone." An idea suddenly pops into Rose's head. "You know... it'll probably be a while before anything starts..." she says with a mischievous look on her face. She looks around and notices Tamara speaking with Princess Kai, with her older brother nowhere to be seen. "why don't we call Princess Kai and Tamara over and test out your Princess swap theory. We can even make a game of it!" she exclaims. "Most of those vendors and booths are from other kingdoms right? Why don't we sneak over there and see how many of them we can trick into believing that I'm the Fire Princess?" Rose turns to wave at Princess Kai and Tamara, swaying her hips in excitement and spreading petals around the pair.

Sabaton
Location/Time: Homelands
Interaction: Zer0 Zer0
He adjusted the bag on his back once again, he was carrying Devon's heavier equipment. Sabaton was never to complain but he did mumble about the restriction the suit brought on, Wodan's beard he hoped that there would be some booze here. but anyway yes, Devon had managed to put our veteran into a nice suit for this grand occasion

Something that Sabaton was very hesitant about, but after he and Devon had a huge argument about his lack of choice in clothing, Where he argued that any more clothing would be too restrictive, but no. His tailor friend wasn't having any of his reasoning insisting that the berserker wore something nice, so after hours of arguments they came to an agreement and Sabaton was eventually placed into a suit resembling a military general's uniform.

Despite Sabaton having zero experience with fashion (Once again that was Evanescence's thing), he could not deny that Devon had made the berserker look good and not a violent homeless man like he usually did, thanks to having gone out of his way for the outfit not clash with his armor, which he succeeded in doing by going for simplicity and style so it could be worn over his armor, for the outfit was mainly a nice black dress shirt with a huge coat over it (Thankfully enchanted as so not give the berserker a heat stroke)

And somehow, he even convinced the veteran to drop his helmet, Sabaton is still unsure how. So yes, Sabaton's face was exposed to the world. Showing the creature beneath the helmet was indeed human. Actually, some people wouldn't be too quick to refer to Sabaton as a human just yet with a face resembling a boar complete with tusks, upturned nose, and him sporting long black hair, a thick beard and permanent scowl didn't help matters.

Some people would more likely count the man as an Half-Orc at the very least. "Devon where should I put the bag?"

- Table beside Lucine's, Homeland -

"Yes, thank you, Koko." said Devon to her, stopping mid-way to attaching an arm to the mannequin to swish his tail playfully across her nose. He turned to the berserker. "Over there by the hippogriff saddle, Sabaton." he noticed the man's usual permanent scowl and threw a grin his way, to try to encourage him to smile. At this rate his scowl was going to scare their stall visitors away.

"Let's open up shop later in the afternoon, I want to visit all the stalls and taste all the food first." he said spreading his arms. "I purposely didn't eat any dinner last night nor breakfast today just for this."

His black nose twitched as he sniffed the air with gusto. "Mmmm, and I smell crab and corn soup with --- sniff, sniff --- egg, spring onions, and cream." Devon began to purr, as he finished his first mannequin, then fitted it with a traditional Fire Kingdom night garb. It had loose and billowy pajamas earthen in colors, calm, and simple. Made of a soft fabric embroidered with figs at the bottom.

Vincent Berny
Vincent sighed as he started to set up his small stall. It was quite an exciting and nerve-racking prospect to be able to go to what will surely be a very special and historical event for the whole continent. The four kingdoms will be meeting in peace for the first time since the wars, the prince and princesses of the respective kingdoms also meeting their soon-to-be wives and husbands.

Trying to not waste any time, Vincent opened up some the large bags on the ground beside him. All of them contained an assortment of goods he managed to bring, ranging from different colored cloth to large candles. He started to lay them all out on display on his small table. As he was contemplating how to place them, it was then that he took the time to look around and survey the place that he was dealing with.

The area was already full of activity from all sorts of people. All of the various people, races, and culture all converging peacefully in the absolutely beautiful and breathtaking Homeland. It was really exciting to think about, and Vincent almost couldn't stop just looking around the place. There was a sizable orchestra that was setting up. Some people already had their stalls in place, displaying their wares that were mostly unique to their own kingdom. He even saw what very much looked like... monsters? Vincent was hit with fear for a brief moment from the very unnatural and unfamiliar creatures, but observing them for a few more moments realized that they appeared to guards for a short girl in a cloak. Definitely from the Dark Realm.

As he continued looking around, he caught sight of their very own Fire Princess, standing nervously beside another girl she was talking to, who was somehow very familiar. Vincent sighed as he recalled what had happened a few days ago. An attempt at the princess's life, in broad daylight. His first experience of actual violence, and he couldn't even run from the shock. It was just barely a week after the attempted assassination against Princess Teno, and it shows. A large number of guards equipped with large swords surrounded the princess, ready to protect her at all costs.

He snapped out of his thoughts and went back to finish setting up. If anything, this is a chance to show the others that we might all be much better off and be able to achieve much more working together rather than fighting each other. Vincent wanted nothing more but peace between the kingdoms, and seeing a glimpse of what they all have to offer further solidifies that fact.

His Highness Danil Draven Crown Prince of the Dark Kingdom
Homeland
A certain Purrsian tailor and co.

Prince Danil's departure from the Dark Realm had been somewhat delayed by a personal quest that took rather longer than expected. It had been dangerous and difficult but he had succeeded. There would be even better security for the Dark Realm and his betrothed. Though, his new allies would not be able to make it to the gathering in the Homeland. They would be preparing for various duties within the Dark Realm. Truthfully, the prince was relieved that they wouldn't be ready in time. He wanted them to be a trump card, a secret kept until some of the enemies of peace showed themselves.

He did not receive word of the attempt on his fiance's life until he returned from his quest. His Wraith bodyguards maintained greater distance after seeing his reaction to that news. Indeed, most of those who saw the look in his eyes during that hectic time took some pains to avoid being near him. The few who didn't were all veterans of the war who had fought beside their prince. Instead of keeping their distance, those warriors began preparing their weapons and armor, just in case.

There was barely time to prepare for the journey by the time Danil arrived and his delayed start put him nearly a day behind his sister. Still he set his feelings aside for the moment and, with determination and a few risky shortcuts, he managed to make up most of the time and arrive less than an hour behind her.

Unlike his little sister, Danil arrived alone with only two ponies for company and no fanfare. He had sent all of the entourage ahead with Penelope along with the list of those few who had been invited but hadn't responded swiftly enough to join the party. He rode upon the first pony in his armor, as usual, though it was polished rather more brightly than usual. Each plate was a mirror in its own right. The second pony was led by a cord and carried a couple saddlebags and a large bundle that was tied firmly in place. At his hip was his sword, its deep green featureless hilt shining only slightly in the light.

The Dark Realm had a tradition of the Crown Prince wearing nothing on his head for formal occasions, though he had a helmet if a party got too rough. Danil, for his own reasons, had never worn the helmet and had left it back at the castle. So, his hair stirred in the breeze as he surveyed the Homeland. A small pouch of white leather hung from his waist, marked with a brand that incorporated the runic name of the Dark Realm with a broken mountain in the background. It was an informal mark that had become common during the war. Most of the veterans of the Prince's army had found one way or another to wear it. However, this pouch was not a symbol of war. It held a gift made by the Prince's own hand and power. He hoped that it would please his betrothed.

It was lovely and peaceful, though it seemed likely that the current atmosphere of energy and tension was preventing many from enjoying the prepared festivities. He rode in without directly contacting any of the guards or other members of the Dark Realm retinue. If they spotted him, they were wise enough to not reveal their Prince until he revealed himself. After all, he had yet to spot his betrothed. Given her earlier trauma, the thought of which still angered him, it was more likely that she would be heavily guarded.

He spotted the large group of Fire Kingdom warriors easily, but he did not approach them. He kept his distance and clung to the stalls, as though he were looking for a certain kind of product while taking in the sights. He saw that there were several ladies close to them but, he found that instead of being confused about which was Princess Teno the answer was visible at once. A passing breeze stirred the garb of the ladies and one was wearing an emerald undergown, a familiar one. Now he knew her face, at least from a distance, but it wouldn't do to keep that advantage for too long. He needed to take care of one incidental matter of business and then introduce himself.

He finally located the two things he needed to find. The first was Penelope and he spotted her and the majority of her guards almost as easily as if a sign had been placed. She was engaged in conversation with a man that Danil had not met, though he did resemble the description of a man who had been turned away at the border of the Dark Realm. Penelope had probably already tried to cause trouble from the way she was letting her guards behave. But, nobody was dead so it couldn't have been too severe. The second thing he needed to find was suddenly ahead of him and on his left, a stall being set up that included a variety of tools that clearly indicated a clothier's presence.

He approached without delay and dismounted before speaking to the Purrsian. "Might I have the distinct pleasure of meeting a certain famous tailor in the flesh and fur?" He asked with a small note of pleasant humor. He hadn't neglected his studies regarding manners and charm, though he often had little use for them.

The next day, they packed up andstarted the hike back through the land of the giants and into the ancient underground city, where Farlan shared his idea of looking for more ale and then dumping it in the Nerubian's water supply to see if getting them drunk would make it easier to pass through safely.

Sabaton
Jotunheim/Dark Realm
Month's Ago
Unlike what one would think, getting Nerubian spiders drunk is not a bad idea. But not a wise one either, cause The Nerubians are the affectionate kind of drunk, something that the party learned the hard way. When many of the female spiders (Which in turn mean the bigger spiders) would try to court the party.

But that's a story for another time.

Sabaton was reluctant to enter the Industrial Empire but did cause his job wasn't finished until he was paid, so being handed the money, Sabaton was eager to leave the empire that caused him so much misery but before he could even begin walking back to The Glowing Drow, Devon began speaking to him "The Feeling is mutual." He shook the paw. "Not at all, seeing as how you're one of my more pleasant clients. Which there aren't many"

Tamara Esgard
Guard

Tamara watched closely, trying to figure out which royal belonged to which Kingdom, which proved to be slightly harder than expected. She had almost been lost in thought again, if it wasn't for Princess Teno who called out for her.
"Tamara, dear, would you mind telling Princess Kai that I am... not quite able to leave my spot at the moment?" She nodded at her request. "Sure thing, will do." She didn't like to leave Teno's side, especially since what had previously happened, but as long as Rose was at her side Tamara could be sure that she was in good hands.

She made her way towards the Princess Kai, who had previously waved at Teno. Tamara was so glad to see that the Princess was done talking with another girl, as she didn't want to necessarily interrupt a conversation. She noticed that Princess Kai was followed by another person. Seeing how closely he walked beside her, Tamara jumped to the conclusion that he was probably her servant, bodyguard or the like.

As they both met halfway, Tamara put a smile on her previously serious looking face. She bowed before the Princess. "Princess Kai. It is an honor to meet you. As well as your companion.", she nodded at her servant. "Princess Teno sent me to inform you that she is currently not in the position to leave her current spot. But I'm sure she will get to you as soon as she can.", she informed her. Looking at the Princess, especially her face, she looked way younger than Tamara had expected. 'It's such a shame that it has come to this...'.

"I hope you had a pleasant trip to the Fire Kingdom and that you are enjoying your stay! Are there a lot of differences, compared to the Water Domain?", Tamara asked curiously to start a conversation. She had never before been to the Water Kingdom, as could barely imagine what it looked like.

Serenity Arkents
Best Friend to the Water Prince

Serenity watched as Kale left the carriage, before doing the same. She squinted her eyes, as the sun was much brighter than she had expected. She looked around, trying to find the royal siblings. Kale seemed to have encountered the Prince of the Fire Kingdom, Kurt, and Kai, together with Rein, seemed to be talking to what looked like a guard. She didn't want to bother anyone so she decided to explore some of the stands.

While looking at the wares, she saw Devon, the Purrsian tailor they had visited two weeks ago, and waved at him. She looked a little further at the many foods that were properly arranged on every stand. They sure looked mouth-watering and peeked Serenity's interest. She loved to explore the cultural cuisines from the different Kingdoms.

Isaac Seabury
Doctor/Alchemist

Isaac had come together with his assistant to the event as a public viewer. He wasn't necessarily interested in the whole event as it had nothing to do with him whatsoever. He was more intrigued by the many visitors of the other Kingdoms.
"So, you aren't wearing your trusty ol' bird mask? Why is that?" Marie scoffed. "I'm not here on duty. I don't want to risk to be recognized. Also, don't you agree that coming here in my medical mask would be slightly concerning to the people?", he answered in a dry tone. "Well, probably not more than a man wearing a dark robe.", Marie nudged him.

They both intermingled with the other people from the public crowd, as to not stand out too much. Marie's gaze went directly to the stand with the multiple alcoholic beverages. "Well, this is going to be interesting.", she murmured to herself, yet Isaac somehow managed to hear it. "If you would focus more on the reason why we're here instead of getting yourself inebriated as so often, you would for once be a great help.", he growled. Marie scoffed once more at his remark. "Don't be so uptight. I thought you wanted to mix in with the others, don't you? Also, I'm not the one who who made me their assistant.", she chuckled. "Now then, if you're looking for me, you know where you'll find me." With these words said, she made her way to her favorite stand.
