Fie stood there and grinned when he was called brilliant, he puffed out his chest in pride as he nodded. "I am the prank master! Therefore I am automatically brilliant Keheheh!" He exclaimed as he grinned brightly. He was about to run off to BB but stopped and clambered up the table where the phone was located at. Picking it up he held it with his tail before running after the humming bird. "I'll show you the pictures later! Right now lets see if we can find an arcade! Ashy and I went to this hotel in Florida and there was an arcade! A really big one with Basket ball! And ski ball! And zombie shooting! And soooo much more things!" He exclaimed giddly as he ran off.

Looking around he soon bolted into a random hall in search of said arcade he waited for BB sometimes but not really. In his search however he soon got distracted when he found a wood door where he saw someone leave. "What's a sauna? Think that leads to an arcade????" He asked as he sat in front of the door while looking at BB. "It doesn't sound like it does...sound like it would take you to the sun, but that's not possible right? We don't have teleportation yet...thought that would be so cool if we did! I would be able to have so much fun if I had teleportation!"

@Bolts

At this time Ash finally had gotten all the crap off of him...well most of it. There were black smudges on his face but he couldnt' get it off yet as he needed a special remover. "I will gut him later." He muttered as he headed downstairs. When he got there he soon found the buffet table and with that filled his plate before heading to the swimming pool and sitting down at a table close to the others but he was still alone. His hair was still damp, and what would likely catch someone's attention was his face which still had the black smudges.

The lady smiled as she heard the reply of the girl and the tiger. The little one was truly audacious and fiery... she liked her quite much, her honesty was something which was valuable... yet was also a tool which could get her into trouble. And the tiger... well he was as cautious and headstrong as she heard him to be, yet she was still impressed with the sight - a white tiger was truly something that was considered exotic. That he eluded her for this long was an amusing thought for her... but she knew that she will have time to ponder on thoughts like these. Instead her expression turned into a surprised one as she looked at the little girl.

" Sneak? Oh my, I would never! " she said with an apologetic look " These shoes are truly one of a kind then if they make my steps so silent, you have to forgive me for this... rather sudden entrance. "

She turned her attention to the tiger and spoke with a sheepish smile.

" Why you are a perceptive one. You are correct: we usually do notify the workers in advance... that is unless it is a secret visit, a test-prodding if you will. " she walked up to the leftover ingredients from which the tiger made the drinks for them and lifted one marshmallow, holding it in her gloved hand with care.

" People tend to put up their best faces when they know that something is coming, you know. " she smiled " When you arrive suddenly only panic and chaos is their reaction, they try to scrape that false pretense of theirs to try and impress us. Unfortunately more often than not they fail to amuse and when they do... "

She mashed the marshmallow with her hand into tiny pieces.

" Well, let's just say that I am not among the merciful inspectors, shall we? "

Walking up to the tiger once more she glanced at the girl.

" Once again, you are correct. I would not want to drink coffee which is potentially harmful, thank you for your warning. " she looked at them with a devious look " But then I wonder: why do you drink this then? Are you not afraid of the consequences? Or perhaps... "

She heard her comm buzzing and her phone ringing, so she took it out, bowing before the duo.

" A moment please, I will be right back. "

She walked to a corner where she was far enough to be out of earshot.

" Yes? Did you find the girl? "

" Negative, Lady N. " one of her agents reported " We have spotted few unique individuals in the building but no sign of the target. Anything on your end? "

Lady N. looked behind her, smiling at her 'friends'.

" Let's say that I have found something... and a little extra. "

" What do you wish to do? Should we keep searching for her? "

" No need. " the lady smiled " When we are finished she will come to us... willingly. Recall all units into the kitchen of the cafeteria. "

She put away her mobile as she glanced to the left of her, noticing that the two bodyguards she ordered to come have finally arrived. Turning back to the tiger and the girl she walked up to them with a smile which was more menacing than kind now. For a few moments she just inspected them, relishing in this exhilarating moment before she finally spoke up.

" My apologies for the interruption, dear guests but I am afraid that we will have some complications. We have found some... wanted fugitives in the building and unfortunately that means that we need to act now. "

She snapped with her fingers as the two hulking bodyguard entered. They were well trained, dressed in black, elegant suits, their eyes shielded with black sunglasses, each armed with a pistol. Though they towered above their leader the dark lady still emanated a dominating presence with her proud visage she she stared at the duo like a cat would at cornered mice. When she spoke again her voice was sweet - and poisonous.

" A shame that we had to meet under such circumstances. " she said, tilting her head slightly " I would have wanted to see the legendary white tiger in a situation where he is not hiding in a kitchen in a forsaken hotel with a little girl as his company. Truly I imagined an encounter more epic than this... "

She frowned before letting out a satisfied chuckle.

" Alas... it matters not. For I have orders which I must carry out. One way or another you will be coming with me... Laohu. " she now glanced at the girl with a grin " And I think we shall take your little friend as well as... a guest. "

She snapped once more, pointing at them.

" Seize them, but be gentle. No harm must come to them. "

With that the two hulking bodyguard cracked their fingers and launched themselves at Leandra and Laohu.

@crucialstar @Lioness075

Leandra all but resisted the urge to roll her eyes at the lady's reaction to her response. She just sounded so...audacious, and rude considering she acted as if Leandra was incompetent for not hearing the lady's approach due to the sound her shoes would make. It mildly surprised Leandra that the lady didn't have her nose literally stuck up in the air.

Still, Leandra greatly appreciated Laohu's defensive stance before her, though she did feel bad that their moment had been so rudely interrupted.

Regardless of the interruption, Leandra was determined to enjoy her drink and so while the lady blabbered on about her inspection and such, Leandra picked up her mug and sipped at it, casually giving Laohu a thumbs up while the lady continued to rant.

As it were, the lady did make a fair point about surprise inspections. Leandra had heard of many organizations doing such so as to get the same result as the lady suspected to get.

Raising an eyebrow when the lady smashed the poor marshmallow, Leandra sipped at her drink again, now casually leaning back against the counter while wondering why the lady was still talking to them. Shouldn't she be dismissing them by now so she could continue her investigation?

At the mention of not being a merciful investigator, Leandra rolled her eyes, not really caring or even finding being an intimidating food investigator to be, well, intimidating.

As the lady continued to speak, Leandra simply continued to enjoy her hot chocolate, not wanting it to go to waste, especially if the lady kicked them out. Well, if she ever was going to do that.

As a question was directed at her for drinking without concern, Leandra rolled her eyes at the lady before responding, "My mate made the drink and I saw everything he did. Why should I be concerned? It's not like I'm some famous person who needs to watch what they eat and drink."

The moment the lady walked away from them, Leandra knelt down beside Laohu and whispered, "Any idea what's up with this lady, Laohu? Why hasn't she dismissed us already?"

When the lady looked back at them and smiled, Leandra merely frowned in return before glancing at Laohu again.

"She's defo suspicious. I feel like she's up to something beyond simply investigating food."

When the lady returned to Leandra and Laohu with a none-too friendly smile on her face, Leandra shot back to her feet and put her mug back on the counter, as her heart began to race. This was not a good sign. Nor were the two bodyguards now joining the lady.

Scowling at the lady, Leandra then exclaimed, "What fugitives? Are you mad as a cut snake, lady?"

Leandra instantly felt a twinge of fear when the bodyguards approached with pistols handy if the need were to arise. She could fight them all she wanted, but Leandra had no defense against someone who was armed. She'd never learned how to disarm anyone.

Luckily, Xiao Hui had taught Leandra some of the pressure points prior to their last mission. If she was quick enough, she could trip up one of the bodyguards before he knew what was happening, but she'd defo have to be quick about it.

Hearing the lady regard her as 'a little girl', Leandra instantly scowled at her, but kept her mouth shut for once. If this was going in the direction she already suspected it to be headed, she probably shouldn't rile up the baddies anymore than she might've already done.

Alas, the lady referred to Leandra as little for a second time, which pushed the already pushed button, resulting in her snapping, "I'm not rooting little, lady!"

Instantly understanding that this was now a kidnapping scenario, Leandra held up her fists and took a step back before grabbing the stool she'd been on earlier and flinging it at the nearest bodyguard. Not too long afterwards, she armed herself with her half-full mug of hot chocolate and aimed the mug at the lady before throwing it.

Why not add a little chaos to this situation? Plus, there was the added benefit of making enough noise to alert anyone nearby.

Beth stabbed her scrambled eggs gently, glancing up as Manjano motioned for permission to sit. She smiled to herself, and nodded with a chuckle.

"Sit, eat, relax," She said softly, looking over at everyone around the pool. Beth caught Barry's written message and smirked, amused by the addition of more silence.

"Its been a good morning, other than waking up so sore. Definitely appreciating this breakfast right now." She said happily, and glanced at the sky for a moment. Her gut had twinged oddly; was something up with Totus?

Totus flew above the city, wondering where he could possibly hunt in a place like this. His flight took him away from the high-class area, and he ended up gliding over a much, much less fortunate area. He went lower, and managed to grab a pair of rats. He carried them back to the hotel, intending to eat on the roof. But, a large black shape was perched there. Another bird of some kind, sitting comandingly on top of the building. Totus veered away, not sure of the bird's temperament and not wanting to start a territory-type squabble. Instead, he perched on another nearby hotel, eating his meal while watching the horizon, and the other bird.

BB overheard Fie as he stopped in front of a door. The guy was almost as hard to keep up with as she was. They would be the hide and seek champs at this rate! I don't need any teleportation to the sun when i'm this hot! You know what they say though, you gotta fight fire with fire. She said as she started to ram the door. It was pretty heavy and did not give at all. Aww man! It's a pull door. Why don't they accommodate us small birds like they should? Like seriously, how many small birds do you know that can open a door like this? Don't answer that we all know there is only one bird that can do that. Hawkeye! Man they finally gave him and his human partner a spin off movie after so long. Wait... What was I talking about? Just then, a person opened the door which let out lots of steam. Bingo! She said as she flew in.

@Peaceswore

Barry was nodding along while sipping his tea. It occurred to him, why were they still here again? They got the glasses if he recalled correctly, shouldn't they be heading back to the base like early this morning? He scribbled something down and made sure no one else besides the teammates could read it. Hey, since i'm a bit new to this mission stuff, what else do we have going on here? When do we leave? I wanna know so I can grab something before we head out. He slid the note to everyone else and then caught sight of another face, smudged in black in a few placed, sit down by himself. He appeared to be in a mood of sorts. Perhaps heading over to him would not be the best idea right now.

As Alec had left and came back with Duirk's launchpad and phone, Xiao Hui's heart soared for that split moment when Alec left the room, letting the resonating sound of Alec's laughter: free and without restraints, echo in her ears. It made her feel more than ecstatic knowing she was able to see such a genuine laugh from Alec because of her. Nodding, Xiao Hui's mouth formed a genuine widened smile, "Thank you, Duirk! I'll treasure it forever." She said sincerely, letting her free hand rub the back of Duirk's ears affectionately. However, her attention was brought back to Kit when he decided to jump down on her lap, wrapping his tail around her wrist, "Have you taken a liking to me, Kit? You're too cute to not adore, little one." Xiao Hui laughed softly, loving the little animal's affection towards her. She supressed to urge the need to squeal when she heard Kit's "nya". At hearing Alec's words that he wouldn't get lost and not everything is in Chinese, Xiao Hui nodded in response, believing in him. Soon, he left the room and gently shut the door. "Be safe, regardless." She whispered mostly to herself when Alec left. Xiao Hui turned to smile at Rin, Duirk, Haku, and Kit as she cooed at the little fellow. Watching with amazement as much as Kit was doing, Xiao Hui looked on, watching Duirk effortlessly and professionally mix around the technology that she knew next to nothing about. However, her attention was turned back on Duirk when he spoke nonchalantly stating that Alec acts different around her. "What do you mean, Duirk?" Blinking in surprise by the topic, Xiao Hui tilted her head, looking down at Kit and then towards Rin and Haku in confusion before listening to Duirk further. But, hearing that the happiest Duirk's seen Alec was here. . . with them, at the Watch, she felt overjoyed yet worried at the same time. It worried her hearing that he seemed much happier than where he was before. What happened to Alec to feel that way? "Perhaps. . he's more comfortable here with everyone and since the team has gotten closer. .in more than one life or death situation . . and it feels as if the bonds we made with each other makes us all . . a little family, a unit together. Plus seeing how much we all care for one another, it makes it that much more special." Xiao Hui smiled softly. However soon enough, Duirk continued as he said that Alec told Duirk that she had troubles with her Father. But, before she could think anything of it, Duirk quickly reassured her that Alec hadn't gone into depth with what it was. Hearing the next words, it took her by surprise, as Duirk soon opened up to her . . to them. Protecting Duirk from his dad? Alec has troubles with his Father as well? Xiao Hui bit her lip, closing her eyes slightly, remembering back when she and Alec were in the infirmary together when she showed him her back. It was the first in a long time since she gotten another hug from someone other than Laohu. She felt warmth radiating in her as she remembered fondly of that day. They both shared their loses together, telling each other "it was going to be okay".

Opening her eyes once more, she took a deep breathe, smiling sadly,
"It seems we both share problems with our Fathers don't we? No need to worry Duirk, you're his partner and practically his blood brother, you two share a bond that none of us can comprehend, much like me and Laohu and Rin and Haku." She said softly before unconsciously gently petting Kit's back, "I have a feeling that I, along with the some of the others, feel or act the same way as well. But for me personally, I feel. . . much happier or rather more relived here because at home or wherever Laohu and I were. . it was a place where we are expected to do things, to be someone we don't want to be. We couldn't grow where we were before, but now we can spread our wings. We feel as if we are free to be who we are, to be who we want to be, and to have control of our own fate, our own lives, and our own destiny. At the same time, I was alone. . .aside from having Laohu, I was used to doing things my way, but now, here, at the Watch, being able to rely on others, to have teammates, is an incredible feeling." She paused, taking another breathe before opening up more than she thought possible, "At first, I was weary and quite. . afraid of the thought of being responsible for other people, but now that we all faced hardships together, it feels as if some burdens have lifted off of my shoulders, knowing I have people to rely on. I trust everyone here more than I do myself." Xiao Hui admitted, as she continued, "Duirk, I care about both you and Alec, but that's not all. I care about the both of you as much as I care about Rin and Haku, along with everyone on the team." Xiao Hui said genuinely, quite surprised she said so much, but didn't regret her words. "I hope Alec can continue being happy here, including you too, Duirk. I won't let any harm come to you, especially if Alec is very protective of you because of his father. He isn't alone and you're not alone. You have us. And I'll be damned if we let anyone lay their hands on either of you." She winked before smiling softly, nodding in reassurance towards the spotted hyena. She hoped Duirk understand where she was coming from and hoped they knew they could rely on them. They were friends, teammates, family, after all, right?

Looking at her hair, she realized the color had changed and washed away, grateful for the fact that the hair dye was definitely not permanent and she was back to her normal appearance. However, remembering Haku had addressed Laohu when they spoke briefly before the left, Xiao Hui looked over the Haku, shifting Kit in her arms to make herself a little more comfortable, "We are on an assignment and I need to get out of here as quickly as possible. Perhaps I need to retouch my hair once more. . since my hair color changed to it's natural state. "Xiao Hui mused, hoping she didn't have to re-do the hair dye, nevertheless, smiled softly at Haku. Hearing Rin's voice, Xiao Hui turned to look at him, a little surprised to hear him address her, then again, she always wanted a chance to speak to him. Rin was of Japanese descent and since she was of Chinese descent she was curious as to how he was raised up. Was it traditional as hers was? Or was it not? Laohu had mentioned he was still wondering why Haku would have thought they seemed familiar to her, but Laohu could never pinpoint the reason. By looking at Rin's katana, she wondered if she could safely assuming he was just as traditional. Plus, his actions proved it as well, hearing his speech and seeing his stances. Nevertheless, Rin continued to surprise her as she heard him praise her for her job well-done. It had been a while since she was praised for good work, yet at the same time, she wished she could of been more help to them. But, she took the praise regardless, bowing her head slightly, Xiao Hui politely spoke, "Thank you, Rin, Haku, for your praises. But, I must say . . you both held your own very well. If I remember correctly, the both of you have been Agents of the Watch for a while now, haven't you?" She asked curiously before hearing Rin and Haku both commenting on her action, behavior, and acting. She didn't fault them, in fact, she had to hand it to them, even she didn't know if it was acting or if it wasn't. Sometimes, she played a part too well that even she didn't know if it was real or not. "Please, " she said, shaking her head, "there's no need for thanks, especially between teammates. We were all doing our part for the mission, weren't we? At the same time, it was crucial for us to wear disguises even to the point of acting on a different role. Plus, it was definitely an experience to have. But, I must say. . you and Alec were quite the pair!" Xiao Hui exclaimed, teasing Rin, at the same time winking slightly at Duirk as she laughed softly. "But, Haku. . your guess is as good as mine. I'm actually. . still finding myself. Yet at the same time. . it could also be because I never really wanted to come back here. . " She mumbled slightly, only for her to stop herself from speaking anymore, almost forgetting everything she was taught. No more, Hui. The less they know the better. Thankfully, the conversation shifted towards Duirk as Rin complimented on his musical talents. Soon enough, Haku and Rin began bantering between different artist and music that she couldn't wrap her mind around. However, she giggled here and there softly, seeing the two so animated, it was like a breathe of fresh air. However, soon, looking at Haku and Rin in confusion, she spoke up quietly yet a little embarrassed for not keeping up with the music, "Um . . excuse me. . .? Why would someone want to pour sugar on people?" Xiao Hui asked in confusion before she blinked in surprise at hearing an instructor had pepper sprayed Rin.

Laohu observed the woman before them, watching her facial expressions. If anything, Laohu could only guess that the woman's facial expression was just as observant as his was. He committed the woman's appearance to memory, just in case he would need it in the near future. Behind that smile, Laohu could only guess what she was thinking. Was she here for the food or something more? Traditional black Chinese dresses should never be word during the new year and that was the first sign that something was wrong. Hearing the woman's voice once more, he raised a slight brow, hearing how chipper and 'care-free' it was, didn't make any sense to him. If she was here on business, wouldn't she have a more business and formal tone? Why was it so . . casual? As the woman made her way over to the countertop where the ingredients were, Laohu watched the woman's every movement like a hawk, watching the way she walked, talked, and stayed on red alert. At hearing the reason for the unexpected and surprise visit, Laohu couldn't help but understand where the woman was coming from. But, even more so when she decided to crush the tiny marshmellow with her hands. Laohu listened to the woman's tone of voice when she mentioned she wasn't among the merciful investigators. "It is true that others may put up a false pretense, trying to impress the OCCI, however, wouldn't you say that you and your co-workers would have a keen eye on ingredients or anything that could potentially be out of place? Surely, you wouldn't fall for the fake impressions and false pretenses, would you? As a woman as intelligent as yourself, nothing can be missed under your radar, isn't that right?" He asked the woman, seeing if he could get a little more out of her than being a QCCI. Soon, the woman walked up to him, glancing at Lea before speaking to her. However, before the woman could be too close in his and Lea's space, he moved backwards, hoping Lea would move back as well, far away from the woman.

At hearing the woman's indication of him poisoning Lea, he scoffed as Lea retorted with the remark that the drink was made by a friend and she observed everything he had done. Laohu glanced over at Lea, giving her a small smile before turning back towards the woman only for her to be interrupted by a call as she walked away. Raising a brow, he couldn't help but growl lowly at the woman's back. Listening to Lea's questions and concerns, Laohu sniffed the air slightly before turning towards her,
"A bad omen. Black should never be worn on days of celebration. Suits are fine, however, dresses such as the one she wore. . should not have been. Especially if she claims to be a QCCI, she should know the culture fairly well. Something tells me. . she has something up her sleeves." He said lowly, so only Lea could hear him. He was glad Lea had noticed and was quite observant that this wasn't any ordinary food check up. However, as soon as the woman came back. He lowered his stance, in a position to where he was ready to pounce. Feeling the change of atmosphere and aura when the woman came back, including her smile. . Laohu couldn't take any chances. Her smile was not a friendly one and she definitely isn't here to see food. At hearing the woman mentioning fugitives, Laohu growled louder, "Fugitives? The only fugitive here is you. Are you not a QCCI? Why are you searching for these so called fugitives?" He growled out as Lea also spoke the same thing, though he couldn't understand the Australian slang, but could understand the gist of her words. But soon, the woman snapped her figures as two bodyguards came from her side as Laohu bared his teeth, staying in a protective stance, letting his claws show. However, Laohu's ears perked when the woman stated "legendary white tiger" in action. Who on earth is this woman? But soon enough, the last straw was when the woman called him by . . name and wanted to not only take hum, but also Lea. Roaring, Laohu was enraged, before speaking to Lea "This isn't good, Lea, you need to find an exit away from here now."

Soon, Lea managed to throw a chair, aiming for the nearest body guard as she used her hot chocolate mug and aimed it for the woman. With Lea's distraction, Laohu turned towards her,
"Run! Quickly! Into the kitchen, there should be a passageway as an exit. Use that! Go!" He yelled at her as he turned around, taking the chance to run towards the bodyguard, leaping into the air, only for his right paw to give in, making him drop to the ground with a "thud". Groaning at the impact, Laohu willed himself to get up quickly, though he landed on his paw, injuring it once more. However, that didn't stop him for getting up and leaning on it, as he did another roar, before yelling towards Lea, "What are you doing?! Move now! Run, now, don't you dare turn back or worry about me." He called out once more, looking to the chair closest to him as he turned his back, using his good hind leg and kicked two chairs at different times, letting it fly towards the woman and the bodyguards.

Despite how hulking and brutish the bodyguards looked they were actually surprisingly fast an agile. Naturally they split up to pursue their targets - one darted after the girl and one after the tiger. Lady N was just waiting for them to finish their tasks - she did not want to miss on this rather entertaining opportunity to watch the show unfold. She leaned back as she watched the two massive gorillas throw themselves at their targets... but what followed up next was rather surprising.

Instead of running away, screaming the girl actually threw one of the stools at her pursuer, hitting him in the stomach. The man grunted and fell to the floor, dazed from the attack. The lady clapped with her hands in excitement and was about to applaud the girl... when she threw her mug at her. With a smile on her face she easily dodged the slow moving projectile, jumping into the air with grace, landing next to the kitchen entrance where the tiger pointed as an escape route.

" Most impressive display of accuracy, my dear. " she smiled " Yet I am afraid that you will not succeed with such throws like that. "

Seeing how the tiger fell on his injured paws made the lady chuckle.

" Oh my, watch your step Laohu... I wouldn't want you to be hurt too much. You are far too precious for me you know. "

Watching how Laohu was still able to throw the chairs at her companion truly impressed her, she once again stepped away from the object flying towards her with ease as she marveled in the accuracy of the wounded tiger - the spectacular fall of her ally however did not amuse her. She sighed as she saw the two guards fall.

" Armed and trained, yet you two idiots are unable to take two unarmed victims into hostage! " she shrugged, giving up on the two useless guards, turning towards her 'friends " Well now, must I do everything myself? I think we should... "

She was interrupted by a strange hissing sound as she turned her attention that way. She saw that the mug the girl threw at her was not nearly empty... its contents now spilled at an open wire which crackled with electricity. Surely enough moments later a small fire erupted, sending the fire alarms off in the entire building, warning the quests for the imminent danger. As the water started to pour down from the top the bodyguards who were hit by the furniture started to wake up and with regained determination they tried to seize their targets, only to slip left and right on the wet floors, stumbling into each other. No matter how hard they tried to get up, the water hindering their movements greatly. Lady N let out an annoyed growl then a smile right away.

" Aggravating imbeciles! I will handle this personally then, it appears that these "agents" are too much for you, even though one of them is crippled! "

She focused her mind then yelled.

" Umbra, to me! "

The massive falcon perched on top of the hotel and took note of the small owl who flew by him just now. He knew not who it was or what was it doing here but owls not being native birds of China, let alone a city, made him to be on his toes, but he refused to act. Knowing that his mistress would make him regret such foolhardy behavior he instead waited patiently.

When the mind link with his mistress flared and he heard her call he let out a terrifying screech before taking flight and soaring into the hotel. The water falling from the sky did hinder his flight but he pushed on towards the direction where he heard his mistress' call. Shortly after he arrived he noticed how the guard were having difficulties with even standing up. He looked at his mistress with eager determination.

" Do you wish me to tear them apart? " he asked, eagerly snapping with his beak.

" Nay, we need but to apprehend them. " the lady said with vigor " Stand guard at the entrance, I will make sure that they will have a... peaceful journey. "

" What about the other guards heading here? "

" Tell them to put up a fight or I will flay them alive. " she looked at the two laying around " I will not tolerate failure like these two here. "

Umbra nodded and headed outside of the dining area, meeting up with the incoming guards. Flapping with his massive wings he turned to the bald guards with a ferocious gaze.

" The mistress wants us to stall anyone who enters. " he said " Fight or I will make sure you regret the day you were born! "

With the commotion gone from the room the lady now turned to the two guests she had left together with. She pulled out two syringes, both of which was filled with sedative strong enough to induce coma almost immediately. Raising them as weapons she looked through her soaking wet hair with a maniac expression.

" Let us dance then, my dears. "

She threw one of the syringes at Laohu with unerring precision, hoping that it would hit the tiger easily due to his injuries. Turning her attention to the fiery little girl she lunged forwards with a maniacal laughter.

" Come now, little girl! Show me your moves! "

Zoe watched as Raven took her hand and she realized that she can not force force the girl to accept her feelings. It was already a miracle that she allowed herself to be eased into this companionship with the girl and Zoe let out a small chuckle. She was definitely not going to give up on Raven... the others did not give up on her so she will follow their stubborn example and do her best to become friends with Raven... or something.

Spotting Alec and listening to what he said Zoe fell into her thoughts. Eos was... her ally, her partner yet they were totally different. Still, she would fight for him until the bitter end - and she was certain that Raven was on with the same terms with Kitsune.

" Perhaps fighting with him, as you put it, increases the strength of their bond. You may never know how different bonding rituals are between people. " she proposed. It was strange to think about it this way but she could not comprehend it in any other way. As both of them headed to mind their own business she began walking away too... until she heard the alarms going off. Jumping a bit from surprise she looked around but saw not smoke yet. But she had a bad feeling about this...

Eos felt a hint of sadness still lingering in the air after his tale. He was glad that Beth and Luness both joined them with others, allowing the mood to change completely. As the old stag smiled at Luness he nodded.

" True, though she is very stubborn. She had her own definition of missions and she still plans ahead alone. Or, for that matter, she plays her disguised self too well... in any case she tries her best and I am proud of her. "

Looking around he questioned the bird.

" Speaking of missions, i saw Leandra heading away with Laohu somewhere. Do you reckon that I can join them for a minute and...? "

He was interrupted by the alarms going off and immediately he jumped on his hooves. It could have been just a normal alarm... but something told him that this was something else as well.

Leandra would've taken the moment to cheer when her stool struck and knocked the guard down, except her mug missed the lady and that left a sour taste in Leandra's mouth. The way she so easily dodged the projectile set off warning bells in Leandra's head, as she quickly realized this lady was most certainly dangerous.

Hearing Laohu shouting at her to run and leave him behind, Leandra angrily shouted back, "I'm not bloody leaving you, Laohu. Don't play the hero! Either we both escape, or we both fall!"

Hearing the lady speaking to her now, Leandra faced her with a scowl, her fiery attitude not faltering for a moment.

Worriedly glancing sideways at Laohu when his injury became more prevalent in his fall, Leandra took a step closer to him. She had no idea how to protect or help him right now, but moving closer was better than nothing, she supposed.

As the guards stumbled about, Leandra quickly scanned the area for something, anything to help, but there really wasn't much around to help them in this situation.

Hearing something hissing nearby, Leandra's heart began to race, as she looked where she'd thrown her mug and gasped when she saw the open wire that it had landed on. Shit.

As the water came rushing down from the ceiling, Leandra made an annoyed sound before realizing with a start how dangerous the area was now. One wrong step and you'd fall down...just like the two guards.

When the lady shouted for someone by the name of Umbra, Leandra's eyes widened, as she quickly assumed it was the lady's companion. Crap, what animal did she have with her? Would it be hindered by the water or no?

Desperate, Leandra closed her eyes and focused on her mind link to Luness, as she desperately cried out for help mentally. Alas, her efforts were in vain, as she seemed to be too far away from her companion. Crap.

When the falcon flew in and made his entrance, Leandra instantly backed up against the counter, more so terrified when the falcon requested to tear the guards apart. Jesus, what was wrong with these people?

At the mention of a 'peaceful journey', Leandra anxiously spoke to Laohu, "Um, mate, 'peaceful journey' does not sound all too peaceful with that lady in charge. What do we do?"

Just after asking this, Leandra gulped, as the lady produced two syringes. Not good.

Seeing the lady's expression alone made Leandra's heart double time, as she scrambled and then unceremoniously stumbled to the side, kicking out at the lady just as she missed Leandra by inches with her lunge. Crap, crap, crap.

If she was lucky, the kick would land and knock the syringe to the ground nearby, giving Leandra some more vital seconds to possibly change the outcome of this fight.

Luness shrugged at Eos when he asked about joining Leandra and Laohu, but their conversation was cut short before she could verbally answer, as the fire alarms within the building began going off.

Immediately, Luness' heart began to race, as her eyes widened and she shouted, "Leandra!"

Call it intuition, but when your companion wanders off and then alarms go off in a building a few minutes later, well, connect the dots here.

Fearing the worst, Luness took flight almost immediately, Manjano sprinting right below her, as he'd made the same connection not moments ago. He was her twin brother after all. Falarion was close to his side and the trio would've entered the building without a problem...well, if it weren't for the bodyguards standing just outside.

Luness landed in front of Manjano and screeched at the guards before noticing a falcon amidst them. He certainly did not belong here so it would seem. Who was he?

Before she could ask this aloud, guards rushed forward and Luness took flight once more, as Manjano dodged an attack and Falarion tackled the offending bodyguard to the ground with a snarl.

Raven barked a weak laugh of derision at Alec's commentary. Kitsune, the fox, was a part of herself that she needed? This fellow didn't know what he was talking about. Perhaps it was something from his own experience, as he said, but Raven wasn't Alec and their experiences could not be any less different.

"Who is that guy?" she mused aloud to Zoe as she watched Alec's departing back. She pointed toward him. "Was that supposed to be helpful? Because it wasn't." She raked her black hair back with the fingers on both hands as she sighed and turned back to the blonde woman. "Hell, what do I know about these things anyway?"

She stepped into the waiting elevator just as the fire alarm sounded. Ceiling sprinklers exploded their water and fire retardant concoction throughout the halls as the power cut to the elevator and it remained still. Raven cast a curious glance at Zoe as they quickly became drenched in the deluge; certainly this couldn't be a coincidence after the events at the club, could it?

"Courtyard," Raven commanded and she threw open the door to the steps. The alarm blared even louder inside of the concrete stairwell but it was drier as there were no sprinklers here that could cause patrons to slip and fall during their descent. Fortunately, no one else had started down the stairs as of yet and Raven was able to leap down them in twos and threes.

She slammed the door outward that led to the lobby where guests and staff alike were making hasty evacuations. "Move! Move!" Raven shouted as she shoved and shouldered her way against the flow of traffic as she made her way to the courtyard.

"Here, captain!" Kitsune said as he met Raven upon her arrival. He had heard the alarm and had come running to where he sensed she would be. "What's the plan?" Raven acknowledged the fox with a curt nod as she passed him by on her way to where the others were assembled. Kitsune jogged to keep up with her.

Across the courtyard, at one of the other entrances, she saw some of the Watch facing off against a few, large brutish fellows. Taking quick stock of the situation, she drew her 9mm and set off toward the melee. "We need to get people up to Xiao and see that she is safely evacuated," Raven shouted over her shoulder. "Then, I suggest two or three teams sweep the hotel to ensure that everyone else is out. The rest should fan out and discover the source of the alarm. Go!"

Kitsune's eyes narrowed in focus as they approached the fight. The falcon was new ... or at least, he hadn't seen it prior. A sneer curled around his lips as he considered the possibilities. After all, he'd only had one sausage for breakfast...

Just as soon as she went in to the steam filled room, the sprinklers started going off. Those in the room started streaming out only to be clogged up by various people and animals. Man! and I just got here too. Guess they just couldn't handed these good looks. BB flew out of the room, above everybody trapped in the door, and hovered above Fie. Like I said, hotter than the sun. She said to Fie before going up to those in the door. HEY! FIRE DRILL! FIRST RULE IS TO GO SINGLE FILE AND CALMLY WALK TO AN EXIT YOU DUMMIES! NOW BACK AWAY FROM THE DOOR AND CALMLY FOLLOW ME OUT. She blasted her voice out to them. Some grasped the words while others looked in confusion. Those who understood quickly told others and soon everyone was shifting so there was less of a jam. Good! Now this way you nerds. She started to fly down the hall while the sprinklersAs were going. It slowed her down but was probably for the best for those to follow her. keep up Fie, wouldn't want those photos to be lost now would we. She winked as she made her way outside with the mass of hotel goers in towels and swimsuits. This was your hotel fire drill instructor, thank you for participating in the extravagant world of hotel management.... now go wait over by that curb there till everything is done.

She flew a little further from the hotel to get a birds eye view of what was going down. No rooms seemed to be bellowing smoke. She soon caught sight of Totus flying above as well. BB sunk in elevation by his sight only to get to the same level as the birds perched on the hotel roof. Oh great.... she said to herself as she descended even further. By the looks of them, they were there for a reason that wasn't too friendly.

Barry got up quickly as what happened last night soon unfolded again. Sprinklers and alarms everywhere. At first, Barry was confused but soon got a grasp on the situation. Like lightning, Manjano, luness and Falarion were up and gone only to leave the few behind on the soaking wet table. He saw the bodyguards try to take them down but was jumped by Falarion. Raven kicked down the door and started to shout about a makeshift plan. He soon grasped the severity of thier surroundings. Barry got up and ran past her to the direction of the room that Xiao was held in. [
Come on BB where are you..] He thought, trying out the connection thing. He wasn't sure if it had worked or not but he had no response. As he turned the corner, he saw his little friend escorting people out. [Ahh, well then good job.] He ran upstairs while fighting a flow of people heading down. Some tried to stop him but he managed to wiggle his way past. The door was within his sight.

The experience was an interesting one for Fie, having entered the Sauna he was almost certain they were actually getting pretty close to a volcano. The heat was quite a bit for him and the steam was everywhere! "This would be a terrible place to wear makeup." He said as he panted while sticking his tongue out. Looking around he easily found himself getting bored with the place as despite the cool steam that would make for a great villain interest...it was way to hot for the small furry monkey. "BB le-" before he could finished the alarm went off and he let out a yelp. "I DIDN'T DO IT!" He shouted alarmed as the water from the ceiling poured onto him and the others. When the mass panic started Fie quickly moved to the side and watched as everyone tried to get out which only clogged the way in the end. Fie didn't get why they were all panicking... It's not that Ash didn't tell Fie about fire safety...it more on the lines that Fie never listened when it seemed like Ash was about to give a lecture.

Now instead of patiently waiting for everyone to calm down, the monkey decided to weave in and out of the people's legs and soon he was the first one out of the chaos. The continual loud noise of the alarms worried him to know end so he ran off full speed to Ash's hotel room in search of his partner. He didn't even think about checking inside and just ran up a flight of steps in a hurry.

@Anyoneon the second floor

Ash had been rather quiet since he got there something completely unlike him, as he just ate. Silently thinking of ways to skewer the damn monkey that couldn't stop pranking! It's not that fun to lose sleep over staying awake longer than the monkey that somehow has a marker even though you know fir a fact you took one/ten away from him! While he was in his small stopper he was soon waken up when the fire alarms went off. "I swear if Fie caused another fire." He muttered as the water started to drench him. Getting up from his seat he looked around and the next thing he knew chaos was erupting. Guards entered the courtyard and were fighting a few of the others. Shocked by the sudden escalation of what was happening it took Ash a moment to register what was going on. It wasn't till a fist came straight toward his face that he snapped out of it. Taking a step back he dodged the attack just barely and grabbing the man's wrist he hit his heel hard before pull him with a decent amount of strength. And with that the goon was in the air for a split second before crashing onto the table that Ash had previously been at breaking the thing from the sudden mass of muscles that had landed on it.

Looking up he heard the orders and was silent for a moment. "......I'm going to do a sweep on the first floor!" He shouted over the fighting as another baddie ran up to him with a baton that had a taster at the end. Quickly side stepping so he didn't get hit he went into the man's personal space before lifting his knee up and kneeing him in the solar plexus not holding back in this power move. The man actually vomited a bit (lucky not on Ash) before collapsing to the ground unconscious. When he did so Ash was about to go but stopped and looked at the man's weapon. "...." After a small moment of silence he grabbed the baton/taser before he went into the hotel. 'Okay, make sure everyone gets out safe and see where the hell Fie is.' Wrapping the cord of the baton around his wrist for the time he ran off, first he checked the front desk to see if there was anyone.

"Naw, whaaat?" Duik flopped a paw in Rin's direction, more than a little embarrassed. "That was...I'm not really that good.." but it was obvious he was very pleased with the compliment.

"One day I want to compete, like professionally...but I like this Watch gig too."

He continued to play with the launchpad as Xiao answered his observations.

"That's exactly what we feel like!" Duik confided, "Being stuffed into someone else's mold...that's what I saw when we were back home." Duik spoke even as he continued to pour out notes on his launchpad, making small adjustments on the phone screen with a deft claw.

When Xiao told him she liked them both as much as Rin and Haku he fixed her with a furrowed-brow look, an expression which looked more comical the more scrutinous it became.

"As much as everyone huh?" He repeated, not too convinced, or perhaps he didn't want to be convinced. "Well that's sweet of you Xiao." He went back to his mixing absentmindedly.

Just then there was a blaring sound as the fire alarm went off.

"The heck?! Is that thing back again?!" He shouted, already on his feet.

The noise was wreaking havoc on Kit, the little creature squealed and buried his face into Xiao's side as if the loud noise physically caused him pain.

"You hold Kit," he told Xiao, "but if it really is a fire, we should get out of here...can you stand?"

He nodded seriously to Rin and Haku. "We'll lead the way for you Xiao, follow us up when we say its safe. Let's go see what this is."

Duik lead the way into the corridor, checking left and right. Suddenly he saw a white figure flash past.

"Fie!" Duik yelled. Running to catch up with the panicking monkey. He scooped the little primate out of mid-run with a quick paw and tried to hold him still until he calmed down.

"Relax buddy, I got ya. Now, what the heck's goin' on?"

Simon had successfully completed several laps of swimming in the pool before he returned to his position of floating around on his back. While the others dispersed from the pool area, Jimbo and Simon had stayed behind to continue enjoying the pool. They might have also stuck around because Simon, probably unwisely, had dozed off while floating in the pool. It seemed the night of no sleep, as well as the extraneous exercise during the morning, had finally worn him out and he rested bobbing up and down in the water.

Jimbo simply chuckled and kept an eye on him while sitting in the sunlight for a time longer. He watched as Berry and BB left to go find the sauna, as well as Fie. The pool became a very quiet place and Jimbo could feel the relaxation of the environment taking hold as well. Until a very familiar sound began blaring from inside the hotel. Instantly Jimbo leapt to his knuckle and looked towards the hotel expecting to see the large Nian standing in the lobby destroying things again.

Jimbo looked back at the pool, Simon had been unmoved by the noise. Sighing, Jimbo walked over to the edge of the pool and dipped his arm in the water. He flung his arm towards Simon causing a small wave of water to soar over Simon and splashed him across the face. Simon's eye shot open and he lost control over his balance on the water's surface and began to flail around.

"Simon! Get out of the pool, something's going on."

Simon, now waste deep in the shallows had heard the sounds of the fire alarms and made his way out of the pool. Jimbo met him at the stairs and the pair began sprinting towards the doors that lead back to the lobby.

The alarms were loud and eerily similar to the ones from the nights before. As the pair pushed into the courtyard between the pool and the lobby, Simon watched as several of the group members were already engaged with men that most certainly did not look like they were hotel residence. Before Simon could register much more, he caught a flash out of the corner of his eye and turned to see a brutish goon charging at him. Simon gritted his teeth and when the man WA within range, he ducked to the side to ablvoid a fist before driving his own into the man abdomen. The man grunted and coughed as he doubled over and dropped to his knees. Over the mans convolsions he heard someone yelling out. He followed the voice back to see Raven and Kitsune making their way towards the group. She was talking strategy, good strategy. Simon nodded at her and watched as Ash headed towards the lobby.

"Jimbo and I will make our way up towards Xiao. I won't be much use in nothing but workout shorts. Stop by the room on the way up."

Jimbo looked up at Simon and nodded in agreement. Before any more goons could get back up, Simon and Jimbo were behind Ash heading for the lobby. Once there, they could begin making their way up that stairway and keeping an eye out for any more goons.

Watching the scene before him, Laohu grinned slightly when Lea was able to knock the bodyguard down with the chair she had flung at him, causing him to fall down on the ground, dazed. However, seeing the excited clap as the woman sat back and watched the scene, he growled lowly once more as he rolled his eyes before another grin replaced his lips, seeing that the coffee mug that was thrown at the woman wasn't for naught. Although she wasn't hit, Laohu observed her movements as she danced around her guards and the thrown mug. The woman was definitely agile and quick. Laohu eyed the wires as he saw tiny sparks. Puuurfect. Seeing that the wires had been wet from the content of the mug, the fire alarm rang in the process, alerting everyone of the danger they were in. That would definitely cause suspicion and help their case as well as them getting help. Over his dead body would he allow Lea to be kidnapped with him. Hearing Lea's retort towards him wanting her to flee, he chuckled slightly, nodding, "I know you don't leave friends behind, Lea. But, as long as one of us makes it out of here, preferably you, then that's all that matters." He whispered towards her, before looking down and eyeing his right paw as he gently stepped on them, only for him to lean more on his left paw. Laohu's chest wasn't hurting as much as Xiao Hui's, however, he did feel a little slight prick whenever he jolted or moved too quickly. But now, with his right paw, it was getting bad and he knew. . . Hui would feel his pain just as he felt hers.

However, seeing that the woman had blocked the escape route for Lea made him frown even more. Laohu's eyes scanned the room seeing a window that led outside. Perhaps he would need to get the bodyguards to "accidentally" break the glass so at least Lea can escape and get the others to this room. Soon enough, his attention was diverted back towards the woman and Lea. Hearing the woman's compliment towards Lea yet advising her, Laohu couldn't help but scoff and even more so feel agitated when the woman directly spoke his name. "Don't you dare mutter my name, woman." He spat venomously before warning bells continue to ring in his ears as the woman said he was "too precious" to be hurt too much. "What do you want from me?" Laohu growled out. He definitely did not like this, at all, especially if she clearly spoke his name as if she knew him more than he knew her. "If your clear intentions was getting me. . then just get me, don't bring her into this!" He growled out, baring his teeth as the sprinklers ran rampant in the kitchen and cafeteria area. He suppressed the urge to groan, especially since this reminded him of the scene from last night. His coat was dampened and he could feel himself trying to balance himself evenly and not show any sign of weakness. Wait. . if the woman was after him, would that mean she was after Hui too. . ? Not liking the sound of that thought, Laohu lashed around behind Lea, shaking his head and body, trying to get his paws to cooperate with him. He was glad to know the two chairs that flung towards the guard that was after him made an impact on the useless so-called bodyguard to the point the woman was angered by their uselessness. But, even so, he needed another plan and quickly, especially hearing Lea's voice. However, hearing the words "Umbra" come out of her mouth, Laohu stood in another protective stance as he waited for the woman's companion, it seems, to arrive. This could not get any worse.

Seeing the bird perched on her shoulders as the menacing look of a crooked smile escaped her lips and the sharp clattering of Umbra's beak, Laohu bared his teeth once more, showing he wasn't one to be merciless either if it came down to it. The two pair before him looked crazed and insane as if they wanted to corner their preys: him and Lea. However, before he knew it, two syringes were shown in front of them as she lunged towards Lea with a syringe as Laohu's attention fell upon Lea only for the woman to manage to aim another syringe precisely at him. Because of his lack of attention on himself, Laohu didn't have enough time to react to the thrown syringe as it he forgot the pain in his right paw and quickly tried to move out of it's line of impact. But, due to his sudden movements, Laohu slipped from the wet grounds as the syringe managed to hit his hind legs. Growling loudly from the impact, Laohu fell down once more, as his eyes widened as Lea managed to briefly escape from the woman's clutches. He needed to get up and fast but he felt his own strength slowing down. He panted, trying to keep his eyes open as the room felt a little blurry. "Stop moving so much." Laohu spoke lowly to himself, trying to clear his vision as he willed himself to get up, but no resolve came. "Need . . . to . . . save. . . Lea," he grunted out, thinking to himself as he tried and tried, only to fall flat, exhausted and beyond tired. He felt sleepy as his consciousness wanted to give out from the syringe that was implicated in him. With the little resolve he had left, Laohu turned toward Lea, slightly dazed, "Lea! Remember what she taught you, remember when we sparred together. Don't forget those lessons!" He growled out. With one final idea in mind, Laohu manged to use all of his remaining strength to let out one final obnoxious roar as the windows shattered and the grounds below them rumbled. Soon, Laohu slowly slipped away into the dark unconsciousness of his mind as his eyes closed and his body laid there on the cold, wet floor, not moving.

Smiling softly at Duirk's slight embarassment from Rin and Haku's compliments, Xiao Hui shook her head, laughing softly, "Still as humble as ever, aren't you, Duirk? Plus. . If I remember before. . . you and Alec both have to accept that you both are musically skilled or talented." She said, furrowing her brows in a teasing manner before looking over towards Rin and Haku. "And, I have my two eye witnesses right here to prove me words! Right, Rin? Haku?" Xiao Hui asked, tilting her head slightly before laughing. Sighing breathily, Xiao Hui looked up at the ceiling in wonder, "It felt like yesterday . . when we were all back there. . playing music and meeting for the first time." She said, having a far off-look, only to get back down to reality when Duirk had said he felt the same way with having to be expected to be something and someone. Frowning slightly, Xiao Hui would never want anyone else to experience what she had gone through, but hearing that it was a similar case for Duirk and Alec she couldn't help but mutter, "At least we're away now. . at least, for now. So, let's make the best of this memory and experience, how about it?" Xiao Hui asked, her mood lightening up even more as she looked between her companions. But, hearing and seeing Duirk's expression of not believing her words that she had liked Alec and Duirk just as much as Rin and Haku, she couldn't help but wonder why he was making such a face and said such words. Did she act differently around him as much as he acted differently around her? Slightly confused, Xiao Hui tapped her chin only to be alarmed when she winced. "Ow. . ." She said softly, as she looked at her right hand, seing a slight bruise appear.

"Laohu?" She spoke out-loud before another wince escaped her lips. Soon enough, when the fire alarm blared and echoed in her ears, Xiao Hui gasped, feeling nervous. "W-what's going on? Where's Laohu?" She said out-loud, calling out for her white tiger, her eyes widening as she gently placed a hand on her chest. She shook the thought that Nian might be back as Duirk exclaimed. "In broad daylight? It can't be him . . " She said, trying to appease her fright and Duirk's. However, feeling a shivering form at her side, Xiao Hui's eyes softened, remembering that she must stay strong no matter the cost, especially if the little one by her was scared out of it's wits. "Kit. . " she cooed softly, gently placing a hand on his frame, petting him, and comforting him. Hearing that Duirk was heading out first, Xiao Hui lifted her head up quickly, raising her voice slightly, "No! Don't go out there without anyone at your back, Duirk, especially if . . if he's back. Alec would worry too much. You can't." She pleaded with the hyena before turning towards Rin and Haku to help convince him. But, he didn't head or words and had Rin and Haku lead her out of the room. "Wait!" She exclaimed before taking Kit in her arms. She looked towards Rin and Haku, as the alarm rang in her ears. "We. . have to help, people can get injured, especially if they're frightened from the sudden alarms." She told the two before her as she moved the covers and slowly and gently attempted to get off of the bed. However, as soon as her feet touched the floor, a sharp pain inflamed in her frame as she felt as if a sharp needle had been injected in her butt. "Laohu .. something's wrong! Rin, Haku, we need to find him! Please!" Xiao Hui pleaded with them as she tried to walk, only to wobble as she walked, holding onto anything as she leaned slightly against Rin and Haku. Was the medicine wearing off? If so, she needed a quick dose right away. In the pit of her stomach, she felt her nervousness churning inside as she couldn't help but feel something was off. Laohu was gone. . and injured. . why? "Laohu? Where are you? What happened? You're hurt, please, talk to me!" She mind-linked Laohu, desperately calling out for him, only to hear nothing but emptiness and silence.

Her face paled even more as she couldn't think straight with the fire alarm blaring in her ears and the fact that something was going on with Laohu. He normally answered her, he was normally by her side, but right now, her stomach churned as she felt bile rising in her mouth. Unconsciously, she cradled Kit in her arms, finding some sort of escape from the dark thoughts racing in her mind. "Shh . . Kit, I got you." She said, as she grabbed a small blanket and covered his shivering frame, as she protectively held him. Leaning against Rin for support she breathily spoke, "Medicine. . there should be some. . on the table next to the bed. It's wearing off, I have to take it every few hours. We have to hurry." Xiao Hui stared at Rin straight in the eye, hoping he knew that she wouldn't leave the building, not if Laohu wasn't out there with her, but at the same time, wanted her friends to be safe. She could only hope it was a false alarm . .

The woman grunted angrily when the girl was able to escape her attack. She did not expect this little runt to be this agile, let alone to retain her cold blood when she was in such a tight situation. It seemed that she had underestimated how easy this mission would be. She let out a surprised grunt when the girl actually tried to kick her as she was caught off guard this time. Managing to avoid the hit with her head she felt her arm colliding with the leg of hr foe, making her drop the syringe momentarily.

" Why you... " she hissed in anger, jumping after her tool as she looked at the girl, now with ire in her eyes. It was in that moment when she noticed that Laohu was successfully hit at least and that the beast was soon to be dazed and will fall asleep. Her mission was technically done, the target seemed to be secured... yet she was now after this personal goal - this little girl, her acrobatics and audacity angered her - and was hellbent of taking her as well as the mighty tiger.

" Noble of you to sacrifice yourself, Laohu. " she laughed " But my orders clearly state that I must take two targets with me... " looking at Leandra with anger she started to charge again " Though you were not my goal I will take YOU instead, audacious little girl! "

She got interrupted momentarily when Laohu's roar shook the kitchen, forcing her to stop and cover her ears. Hearing the shattering of glass she glanced upwards and realized what they were playing at. She will be damned before she lets anyone escape!

" Umbra, send in the Twin Fangs. " she connected with her companion via her mind link " This target is more... troublesome than I anticipated her to be - I don't want to make a mess. "

@Lioness075 @crucialstar

--------------------

Umbra closed his eyes, ignoring the chaos around him. It seemed that the bodyguards were faring better this time, not faltering at all for the moment... but he quickly realized that these were probably just the heralds of the resistance. Few of the guards actually wanted to go upstairs as they spotted some running around but the avian commander quickly disciplined them.

" We will not move, our duty is to guard the door at all cost! " he reprimanded to the act of disobedience as he looked at the newcomers. It seemed that many have arrived here with their companions... a fortunate event since they too had some interesting creatures at their disposal. He was about to unleash his favorite pair when he received the mind link from his partner and he obeyed.

" Yiu, Yai, to me! " he exclaimed, hearing nefarious hissing noises replying instantly. He dove down to the two massive rattlesnakes, one black and one white as they looked at him with anticipation. The falcon eyes the two with a serious expression before he spoke.

" You were called upon by the mistress. " he proclaimed " Get in there and follow her orders. "

The snakes nodded as they slithered away. Umbra decided to fly up high and unleashed a screech which made all the guards pay attention to him.

" Unleash your companions! Hold off these insolent intruders! They shall go no further! "

With a unified grunt of approval the guards did whistle and from various segments of the hotel various creatures started to rush towards them. They were... rather peculiar as it seemed that even these animals were working in pairs. Towards Manjano an eagle started to fly, holding a porcupine between his talons. When they got close enough to the boy the eagle dropped its load, the porcupine diving towards him like a cannonball, finally reuniting with its bodyguard master who was still desperately trying to strike down the boy.

The eagle headed towards Luness now, wishing to tackle the phoenix personally - though it was evident that its confidence shrank once it realized what kind of animal must it face. Meanwhile the surprised guard tried to roll left and right to fight Falarion but for now he proved quite difficult to outmaneuver. Hoping to beat the persistent animal he tried to punch him with all his might - the strike would be heave should it connect but his accuracy was far from good.

Umbra looked around and he spotted Raven and a bodyguard heading towards her. He screeched angrily at the hulking man who stopped to listen.

" That one is mine! " the falcon called out as he dove underneath to tackle Raven " Focus on her fox, you imbecile. "

The guard nodded and immediately dove after Kitsune.

Aside from the two goons charging towards Ash, Simon and Jimbo three animal companions joined them: one seemingly aged - yet bloodthirsty - vulture was heading towards Ash, its feathers gleaming with obsidian colors as it did... while towards Simon and Jimbo rolled perhaps one of the most curious duo. They were hamsters - trained, ninja hamsters at that. They were attached together to be able to spin like a wheel and once they got close enough to them they let out a loud - and cute - battle cry as they lunged themselves at both the big guy and his gorilla, ferociously maiming at them with their tiny teeth while their brutish masters joined the fray.

@Peaceswore @zCrookedz

Amidst the chaos Zoe and Eos finally managed to arrive, following Raven from up close. They just saw perhaps one of the most peculiar animal heading towards them - it was a snail. But a very special snail at that: it had a mini, jetpack like anti-gravity rocket on its back which allowed the tiny animal to maneuver in the air with ease. Eos dodged one of its savage attacks, only to see that whatever its slime touched started to dissolve.

" What the... " the stag started to ask but the savage snail took another turn and dove at him. Gently knocking Zoe away the stag decided to fight the curious animal instead.

Zoe looked at the falcon with curiosity... she had seen him before... heard him before... but she can not recall where and when. Regardless of that, she did not tarry and started to fight with a bodyguard as well, going in for a one on one match with the bald brute on her own.

Meanwhile Lady N was still chasing after the girl in the kitchen. Carefully paying attention to lure her away from the window she wanted to stall her escape until reinforcements arrived. She could shoot her so easily with the discarded weapons of the goons... she could say it was an accident... self defense...

No, she shook her head. This was not her way - she wanted a clean mission and that is what she would do.

Her grin widened when she heard the hissing and rattling sound as the black and white rattlesnake entered the small area. The lady looked at the cold blooded creatures, pointing at the girl.

" Constrict her! Grab her arms and legs and make her finally stop this futile attempt at escape. " she said, anger evident in her tone. The two creatures nodded, then with fast speed they slithered after the girl, lunging at her when they were finally close, hoping at they could fulfill their mistress' wish in capturing the target.

When he was suddenly picked up he let out a loud yelp having not heard Duik when he called out his name. "Let me go!" he shouted as he started to squirm quite a bit to get away. However when the hyena spoke again Fie looked over his shoulder and seeing it was his prank buddy Duik he calmed down pretty quickly. "I don't know! These alarms went off and the water fell from the ceiling and I heard all this shouting and yelling when I came up here!" the small monkey exclaimed. "I'm looking for Ash, he takes forever to shower so he might still be in his room, that's where I'm going." He then looked out a near by window as even from here the shouting of a certain animal was pretty loud. "That doesn't sound good..."

@SilverFlight

Ash looked around as he, Simon and Jimbo were attacked. Smirked a bit he moved into his fighting stance and his eyes currently focused on the vulture that was heading for him. 'Frightful eyes.' He thought before he rolled out of the way in the nick of time before he could get any injury. While the vulture turned around Ash used this chance to lock combat with brute that wished to attack him. This guy was holding a nasty combat knife and sent a strike to Ash's gut. Quickly Ash used his free left hand and pushed the man's hand to his right so the knife completely missed him. Then using the baton he was about to swing it and hit the man over the head with it but before he did he remembered the vulture. Letting go he moved to the side and black wings brushed his face as he had been a tad to close for that.

Despite the pretty close call Ash remained calm as he went back to his fighting stance. But now instead of being defensives he attacked the grunt first. He slammed his foot into the back of the grunts knee toppling him before he went to ram his other leg into his face. But the grunt blocked the knee attack with one hand. At this he looked up and smirked at Ash as if he one the match seeing as from Ash's position he was in a very tight spot. One leg he couldn't move seeing as he would topple, the other he couldn't move fast enough for he would get sliced, and now a vulture was heading straight to his face. "...You shouldn't look up." Ash whispered softly as he placed his left hand over his right and the with a fast and precise strike he hit the man on the nose breaking it. At this the man backed up in pain and Ash placed his foot down. This time instead of dodging right away he took the baton/taser that he had and turned it on. The moment the Vulture was close enough he ducked a bit before striking it in it's underbelly. With water soaking the creature since the sprinklers were still on the electricity from the taser did all the more damage. And with that the huge vulture fell to the ground.

Thinking the thing was down he turned off the taster and was about to head to Simon to help him out if he needed but before he could he let out a yell of pain as he vulture not only got up, but also bit his calf pretty deeply that blood started to drench his pants legs. "Damn thing!" he shouted as he balled up his fist before landing it on the birds head twice, the second blow finally knocked the thing out, but it still had down the damage. Luckily no artery was hit but still hurt, and made it hard for him to stand let alone walk.

Leandra was so frazzled by the lady's ferocity and quick attacks that she didn't even hear what Laohu said, though she did notice when he let out a roar that sent her stumbling backwards onto her butt.

In this brief break between the fighting, Leandra's eyes widened, as she saw Laohu's limp form not too far away.

"Laohu, no!"

Scrambling back to her feet, Leandra then proceeded to play a 'game' of cat and mouse, as the lady continued to stop her from escaping, slowly moving her further and further away from any escape routes. Dammit.

Upon hearing hissing and some weird rattling sound nearby, Leandra's heart began to race, as she heard the lady order the rattlesnakes to constrict her.

Seeing the rattlesnakes lunging at her now, Leandra couldn't help but let out a short, terrified scream, as she stumbled to the side and fell to her knees before scrambling up again and running.

Yet, Leandra couldn't get but two more steps in before she felt something constrict one of her ankles and she violently fell to the ground, unceremoniously hitting her face against the ground. A small cracking sound was heard upon her impact and Leandra groaned before rolling onto her side and feeling as well as tasting blood running down her face. The fall had, of course, ended with her breaking her nose.

Not a moment later, the other rattlesnake was holding her arms together and she soon was completely constricted, as one rattlesnake constricted her wrists while the other focused on her ankles. There was no where for her to go now, though she was in such a daze that she really wasn't planning on moving any time soon.

Outside the hotel, Manjano turned with a dagger in hand to face his enemy only to freeze in place, as he suddenly flashed back to when he was fifteen years old.

Looking around, Manjano saw himself back in that parking lot when those bullies had cornered Leandra and all but killed her before Manjano and Falarion had intervened. Yet, in the midst of the bullies was an eagle, who had scarred both Manjano and Falarion for life while also taking half of their eyesight.

Hearing the eagle screech at him, Manjano all but cowered when it took flight from the bully's shoulder, flying straight at Manjano. He remembered what happened next, as the eagle dove at him and then partially blinded him for life.

Yet, suddenly reality came back into focus and Manjano's eyes widened when the different eagle dove at him, except this time a hedgehog was launched at him instead of the eagle trying to claw at him.

More than surprised and taken aback by the situation at hand, Manjano only had enough time to turn to his side, as the hedgehog barreled into his right shoulder and some quills immediately dug into him.

Gasping in pain, Manjano quickly shook his shoulder to dislodge the hedgehog, as the bodyguard made an appearance and swung his fist at Manjano's now injured shoulder.

Quickly, Manjano jumped to the side to dodge the strike just as he used his good arm to pull out a dagger and throw it at the bodyguard with deadly precision.

While the bodyguard stumbled back with a dagger now in his shoulder (oh, the irony), Manjano used his time wisely and pulled out the buried quills, biting his tongue the whole time, as they hurt far worse than he'd expected. By the time they were all out, he could taste blood in his mouth.

Seeing the bodyguard recovering, Manjano pulled out his second dagger and held it up defensively only to be taken by surprise when the bodyguard threw his hedgehog companion at Manjano.

Prepared this time, Manjano leaned to the side and quickly brought up his dagger in time to cut deeply into the hedgehog's side, leaving it yelping as it fell to the ground and writhed in agony.

The bodyguard was instantly enraged and Manjano's eyes widened, as the bodyguard charged at him.

Turning tail and running was all that Manjano could think of with such a large man rushing at him, so he sprinted between fights and ended up poolside moments later.

Turning around to face the bodyguard, Manjano's expression quickly became alarmed, as the bodyguard was steps behind him and tackled him right into the pool with a large splash.

Falarion almost wagged his tail in excitement when he successfully bit into the bodyguard's arm, leaving a nasty bite wound there. Except he soon felt a thick fist connect with his side and a small crack was heard before he went flying a few feet away and crashed to the ground.

Yelping upon crash landing, Falarion shakily got back to his paws, wincing at the feeling of what was likely to be a fractured rib or two.

Growling at the bodyguard regardless, Falarion held his ground, as the man approached him once more, blood soiling the sleeve of his suit from Falarion's bite.

When the man lunged at him, Falarion deftly dodged to the side only to stumble a bit from the pain in his side. Not wasting a moment though, Falarion quickly regained his footing and soon was airborne, as he landed on the man's back and dug his claws into his back and shoulders before viciously biting at the man's neck while he twisted and turned while shouting for help.

Luness had continued to circle the fighting below her, looking for where she could be of best use to the team.

Not too long after everything began though, she caught wind of someone rapidly approaching her and she looked to her side in time to see the eagle charging recklessly at her.

Once the eagle seemed to realize just what trouble he was getting himself into, Luness narrowed her eyes and shrieked at him before engulfing herself in flames and flying right at him.

In a flash, not literally, Luness crashed into the eagle with her talons outstretched, meeting him in a close quarters fight that was quickly resulting in burns along his talons and underside.

Flapping her wings to keep themselves airborne, Luness quickly began beating the eagle with her burning wings, causing to shriek in agony before he suddenly lunged forward in fear, stabbing at Luness' chest with his beak.

The attack was successful and the pair dipped a few feet in the air before Luness regained her flight and shrieked again at the eagle. Blood dripped from the wound to her chest, but she was far from finished.

Suddenly, Luness lurched backwards, still clutching the eagle's talons, and then she flew up and dipped down before flipping in the air and launching the eagle towards the nearest bodyguard below, which happened to be one charging after Kitsune.

Barry ran up to the door, looking around for any bodyguards. Though there were a few stragglers trying to get down the stairs, no suspicious looking people or animals were in sight. Twisting the handle, he burst in the room. His hair was wet and covering his eyes but this definitely looked like the place they took Xiao. He parted his hair to see Kit, Xiao, Rin, and Haku. His face paled at the sight of the snake. His mouth growing dryer, his arms fell to his sides. [Why does it always have to be snakes?] He groaned in his thoughts as his hair fell back down again. A sigh of relief came over him. Though he knew the snake was still there, not having to look directly at Haku made the situation a little easier to manage for himself.

He pointed to the door with urgency. They looked like they were ready to leave now but a little extra help from Barry seemed like it would be nice. Just from the sight of her, anyone could tell she was in pain and weak. After last night that shouldn't surprise anyone. He looked to the desk that had a notepad and pen. Running over to it, he flipped through the pages till he found one only soaked at the edges. Scribbling something down quick, he quickly covered it with his body. He ran over, trying to help Xiao stand a little more along with Rin. He took the note from his person and handed it to Xiao.
There are some strange bodyguards downstairs. We need to get you out just in case. Raven's orders. Need me to grab anything for you while we are here?

Simon and Jimbo reached the bottom of the stair case before they had to turn around at the sound of something crying out as if to strike. The noise was tiny, and remarkably strange given the large men used in this assault. The pair turned around to see two very small bodies tumbling head over tail towards them in a wheel-like fashion. Between the water falling from the fire suppression system, and the alarm's blaring, they made out the shapes of the hamsters and the two of them couldn't help themselves but look at one another.......and begin laughing hysterically.

The sight of the two tiny hamsters, dressed in what they could only imagine where tiny ninja outfits, was too much for Simon and Jimbo to handle. The pair doubled over holding onto the handrail to support themselves as they laughed harder than they ever had. Even as the big brutes approached, who they could only assume where the hamsters partners, Simon and Jimbo continued to laugh as they tried to right themselves.

Then the laughing stopped, and Simon and Jimbo looked at one another in shock as they both felt pain racing from different parts of their bodies. Jimbo looked down to see one fo the hamsters clamped down on his arm, its little teeth sinking into the skin beneath the fur. Simon had no fur to cushion the hamsters sinister teeth and he winced in pain as he looked down to see the little had clamped down on the back of Simon's calf. The bites stung, and it was almost like the little fur balls were trying to take muscles and skin each time they tried tightening their jaws.

~~~~~~~~~~
The pair did not have time to shake the hamsters off, as their partners were soon on them. One of them, Simon recognized as the guy he had dealt with when he had come inside. He looked very angry and was racing towards Simon with his fists up ready for vengeance against Simon. His calf still in pain from the hamster, who was still attached and determined not to let go, Simon braced himself and threw his arms up as the man's right hook came at Simon. He did not hesitate as Simon's block countered the hook, and the man's left arm came up from under him straights for Simon's chin. Simon didn't have time to stop the uppercut, and the man's fist mad contact send Simon stumbling backwards towards a lobby table with flowers and magazines on it.
He felt the little teeth remove themselves from his calf as he went crashing into the table. He only had a seconds breath before he felt something tiny running up his leg and towards his head. He looked up to see the hamster running, its teeth bared and ready to attack Simon's face. Simon panicked, looking for something to stop the little guy without killing him. His eye caught the vase the table flowers had been in and he scooped it up just in time to catch the hamster as it leapt from Simon's chest towards his face.
Simon smiled as he watched the little hamster collide with the bottom of the glass vase, but he didn't have time to smile for long. The hamster partner was fast approaching. Setting the vase down upside down, and placing a piece of wood from the smashed table atop it, Simon got to his feet and readied himself once more to fight the brute.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Jimbo had his own problem to deal with. Apart from the hamster latched onto his arm, the goon bent on taking out Jimbo had pulled out two TEC-9's from inside his coat and was now firing at Jimbo as he bolted across the lobby away from the others. His arm in constant pain from the jostling of the hamster attached, Jimbo leapt over the lobby desk to escape the rain of bullets. Once behind the desk, he began searching desperately behind the counter for something as he heard the bullets collide with the front of the desk. Finally, his hand grasped what he was looking for and he pulled his hand back with a tape dispenser. Suddenly the bullets stopped, and Jimbo heard the heavy footsteps on wet carpet coming towards him. He had to act quickly, he took a small piece of tape off the dispenser and placed it on the hamsters nose. He then grabbed hold of it so it could jump away and waited until the little critter released his grip to take a breath from his nose. Once free Jimbo grabbed the tape and began to wrap the little guy in it. Soon, he had a tiny mummified hamster with its head free. He pulled the tape off its nose and smiled at it as he replaced the tape over its tiny mouth to keep it from trying that again.

"Bitting is not nice."

He teased the little creature by booping it on the nose, but his attention was soon drawn away by the sound of new magazines being slid into guns and the heavy footsteps stopping just on the other side of the counter.

The morning sun refracted wildly off of the turbulent surface of the swimming pool as those of the Watch within it quickly exited. The same sun, while it dodged lethargically between high, soft clouds that scuttled easily across the sky in the early hour's breeze, was lost along the cobalt metal of Raven's handgun. The 9mm wasn't her preferred weapon, but she reminded herself that this arena was different than the familiar theater of war. Civilians were present here: patrons scrambled from the hotel in effort to escape the blaring alarm and the cascading sprinkler system and Raven hoped they would refrain from engaging in the melee with some self-righteous, delusional thoughts of heroism.

The brute and the falcon whirled on her and Kitsune. That the man wasn't armed with any firearm slightly changed Raven's tactics. Lethal force wasn't necessary here ... yet. She crouched down and switched the gun to her left hand. With her right, she pointed to the falcon and hissed toward Kitsune, "Take care of that."

The fox, without thinking and in complete simpatico with his companion, immediately charged up her crouched back, ran along her outstretched arm and launched himself into the air where he collided with the swooping bird. His teeth clenched down hard on the falcon's left wing and the two animals tumbled to the ground with the force of Kitsune's momentum.

From her lowered position, as Kitsune ran along her body, Raven aimed at the goon and squeezed the trigger. At this range, Raven was automatic, after all marksmanship was her forté. The 9mm instantly responded with a crack! and a bullet tore through the man's left knee. The goon stumbled and fell to the grass as Raven recalled her martial training – even the biggest, strongest person will slump like a sack of stones if you take out his knee.

The man turned toward Raven and tried to stand. Crack! Another shot echoed in the courtyard as a second shot followed the first and completely shattered the brute's knee. He slumped to the ground in pain. Raven stood and covered the short distance between them in just a few, measured steps. Sprinkler slicked hair still plastered to her face and droplets from her cloak soaked into the well tended ground around her feet. She pointed the gun at his head and in a strong, warning tone said, "Stay down, or the next one will kill you."

Meanwhile, Kitsune and the falcon had crashed to the ground nearby and struggled to disentangle themselves from each other. The bird managed a few strikes with its sharp beak as Kitsune maintained his locked jaw on its wing. Blood seeped from both combatants as they tussled near the buffet table. Then, with a final, violent shake of his head, Kitsune tossed the falcon aside where it rolled to an awkward stop. The fox limped to his feet, bared his teeth with his head low and his hind quarters prepared to spring. He looked at the blood on the falcon's wing and wickedly licked his chops. "Mmmm... tastes just like chicken," he said with a sinister tone.

"Name's Kitsune," he said, "but the Chinese know me better as húli jīng." He paused to see if the name brought any recognition in the falcon's eyes. He took a step closer. "In this culture, it is considered rude to not introduce oneself to one's enemy. Who are you and why are you attacking us?"

The lady watched with a sadistic glee as the snakes slowly and steadily wrapped themselves around the girl. She was deep down furious and a bit ashamed that this... gnat caused her so much trouble but finally it seemed that this was indeed the end of the line for her. She applauded her hissing allies, finally she was with those who she could work with. With dismay she glanced at the two guards who were slowly groaning, a sign that they were about to regain their consciousness.

" I have to congratulate you, girl. " she said with a cold, emotionless voice finally " You have earned my ire and my admiration at the same time. I have to admit that I have underestimated you... you and your allies fighting outside are quite the force to be reckon with. "

She grinned.

" Oh yes, I see everything - my dear Umbra is kind enough to grant me his thoughts... it appears that your allies are quite formidable indeed... their strength is quite astonishing to say the least. " her gloved hand clenched into a fist, turning her attention exclusively towards the trapped girl, smiling " Breaking you would be so easy right now, I bet they would rush in should they hear your pained cries, no? A spineless, cold blooded murderer would easily take this opportunity, seize this chance... "

She walked up to a bodyguard, picking up his gun. She aimed at the girl's stomach and closed her right eye as she aimed. But instead of shooting she just chuckled, putting the weapon away.

" Alas, I would not be that cruel, nor that vicious. Yes, honor will be your shield today. A worthy opponent deserves to get a chance at retaliation when faced in combat - that day, however, is not today I am afraid. "

She prepared her syringe as she walked up to the girl with slow steps, her smile widening as she got close. She knelt down next to the girl as she inspected her... it appeared that it was not the situation alone which caused her to be afraid... nay, it appeared that even the snakes caused her some fright. Shrugging, the lady prepared to inject the sleeping toxin.

" You know, I wonder: though we have introduced ourselves as two standing on the opposite sides... we do not necessarily need to be enemies in the future, you know. Your skills are impressive - indeed, you could be a very good disciple. " she said with a tantalizing smile " You have your abilities, the skill is within your heart - a deadly agent you can be, to fulfill your heart's desire. " she gently touched the girl's chin with her hand " I already see you being a fearsome warrior, your eyes are burning in determination, in loyalty. You are fierce, you would never forsake your allies and your mind is quick. All these virtues are rare in one person, you are exceptional. "

She put the syringe in the neck of the girl, slowly injecting the toxin she carefully prepared for her. With a wide smile she put it away, standing up, looking at the snakes.

" Let her go. " she commanded and the two snakes hissed in confusion. Her eyes narrowed " Now. " to her command the two slithering bodyguards let the hands and her feet free, moving in a tentative position as they did so. The lady looked at the girl with a cold expression - but one which was serious as well.

" I have not come here for a bloodshed, girl. I have only come to collect the targets - to show you that I am not a bloodthirsty savage I shall recall everyone outside, animal and guard as soon as you fall asleep. I am no butcher, I am but an agent - just like you. "

She frowned.

" The liquid will take some time to put you at ease. As promised it will not harm you - in fact the sleep it will induce will be quite indulging. You will relax like never before. " she took a few steps back, drying a chair to sit down to. As she did and waited patiently she turned back to the girl.

" My offer was not a bluff, before you would mindlessly object. " she whispered " I do believe that you could serve the greater good though I have to admit that our introduction will likely cause you to decline my offer - first impressions were not the nicest, I have to admit. "

She glanced at Laohu.

" All I ask is you but to think about it. We could make your dreams come true. "

Though their ranks were not entirely broken Umbra had to realize that their forces were getting beaten up good. Instead of dismay, however, a satisfaction filled the heart of the avian creature - he expected no less than a hard, exciting clash of sides. It appeared that these agents were well trained and they even utilized team fight to an extent... he was very pleased with their performance.

His boastful daydreams were interrupted when he got tackled by the fox of his main target. Unable to dodge the clever attack all he could do is to riposte for the moment... the cunning animal was indeed a bloodthirsty one - curious considering how sly he expected him to be due to being a fox in nature. It appeared that training and discipline rendered his prejudices and presumptions obsolete.

He hissed as Kitsune bit his wing, triumphantly smiling at him. He had to admit that the wounds his opponent inflicted upon him were impressive, he was a very good fighter. The beaked creature smiled at the fox.

" You indeed fight well, fox, you surely make for a good sport. " he said, wrestling himself from the grasp of his opponent. Though the wetness of his feathers and his injury made it slightly difficult for him to soar he endured the pain - he had faced much worse. " The name is Umbra, little fox. I apologize for my ignorance but I am not well versed in chinese customs, you know - I leave that to my... colleagues. " he motioned around with his wing.

He focused his mind as he saw images of a satisfied mistress. The lady, probably noticing the mind link, replied to his call.

" Are you all right, Umbra? "

" Invigorating, this battle is, mistress. " he replied " It has been long since I have tasted my own blood! "

" Don't get carried away. The targets are both neutralized, the girl is still holding on for a little bit. Prepare for evacuation and hold the line until I ordain it differently, understood? "

Umbra did not reply but one last message came through.

" And one last thing - don't harm any of them. Seriously that is. That is not our objective. "

The bird grunted in reluctance. He was eager to fight more but the mission had to come first... but seeing how his bodyguard friends were having a blast he decided to swoop in or another round against the fox.

" I believe you had the upper hand last time, Kitsune. " he said as his talons briefly raked the fur of the fox before flying a bit upwards. " I wonder what other tricks you have up in your sleeve! Come, let battle be joined! "

Leandra blinked when the lady began speaking to her once more. She was such a headache and if Leandra didn't actually have a headache on top of the broken nose, she probably would've replied with something witty. As it were, she doubted the lady would take her all too serious right now. If she recalled correctly, people always sounded comical when they tried to speak after messing up their noses. Awesome.

Hearing that she'd earned the lady's admiration and 'ire', whatever that meant, Leandra rolled her eyes. The lady continued on and soon was speaking of someone by the name of Umbra. Perhaps the falcon from earlier?

Listening to the lady speak of Leandra's allies, her eyes widened, as she instantly worried for her own companion as well as her brother and Falarion. Was Luness okay? Had any of them been hurt?

At the mention of breaking her, Leandra's eyes widened slightly, but she quickly tried to cover up her fear, as she instead scowled at the lady. Though, the scowl probably didn't look right, as it quickly became a grimace. Trying to make a face only increased the pain from her nose, which was a dull throbbing pain now. Crap.

When the lady moved briefly away from her, Leandra anxiously squirmed in the rattlesnakes' grasp, but once they hissed at her for moving, she stopped cold.

Just in time to see the lady point a gun at her stomach.

Heart pounding, Leandra all but suppressed the whimper she wanted to make, as the lady instead chuckled and put away the gun.

Not wanting to play along with the lady's game, Leandra focused on her breathing, as she struggled to keep it calm.

Hearing the lady speak of honor, Leandra narrowed her eyes at the lady with disgust. Someone with honor wouldn't have ambushed their enemy with lies. Well, actually, maybe they would. That just sounded like something cool to say in the moment.

Seeing the lady preparing her syringe, Leandra's inward rant quickly halted and she squirmed a bit yet again. Double crap.

As the lady talked about potential recruitment and her potential to be a deadly agent, Leandra immediately shook her head. She'd never help someone like this lady or whatever team she was on. Was she with the Rogues? She'd known Laohu by name, which meant that was probably not the case. If not the Rogues, then who?

Before Leandra could think anymore about it, the lady put the syringe in her neck and Leandra's eyes widened as she said quietly, "No..."

Because of her messed up nose, Leandra's voice sounded nasally now, though her Australian accent was still evident.

As the lady commanded the snakes to let go of her, Leandra prepared to make her escape, except she felt so...drowsy now. So...slow.

As the lady continued to speak, Leandra's vision wavered, going in and out of focus. What-?

At the mention of recalling those outside once she fell asleep, Leandra stopped trying to get her joints to move and instead lay there, not moving an inch now. If she let the lady kidnap her...then the others would be safe, right? Luness, Manjano, Falarion...Xiao Hui...

Lazily moving her head so she could look at the lady now, Leandra slowly blinked at her, listening to her speak of a relaxing sleep. Why would she relax right now? She had to fight, right?

No...she needed to relax, help the others. Protect them...by giving up?

As her vision began to fade completely, Leandra heard the lady whisper of her offer and something about...the greater good?

As the lady spoke of making dreams come true, Leandra's eyelids grew increasingly heavy and she closed them, as she felt an overwhelmingly desire to simply go to sleep now.

Rin and Haku both watched the exchange between Xiao and Duik with amusement. “Haha, yeah I remember!” Rin spoke up, trying to ignore Xiao’s question about pouring sugar. It was something hard to explain without making it uncomfortable. Haku was just smirking away at Xiao’s questions. They both straightened up in alert at fire alarm blaring. Rin nodded to Duik as he made his way out. He turned sharply at Xiao’s reaction. “What happened?” Rin and Haku asked in unison as Rin stepped closer. Xiao swayed looking like she would drop from the bed any moment. He stepped closer to steady her and looked around for where Duik went off to. Xiao’s words to Kit caught Rin’s attention and he turned to help steady her and Kit. She caught and held his eyes then, and he nodded with a look of determination. He would not let his friend down. “That must be it over there” Haku suggested and Rin turned to see where she was indicating. He stepped away and scooped up the medicine then brought it back as Barry burst into the room. Haku was more concentrated on Xiao at the time, didn’t even register the look of fear and disgust that crossed Barry’s features. “Let’s go. Something’s going on. Any idea?” Rin asked Barry, nearly shouting above the blaring horn right outside the door.

Smiling, seeing that Haku and Rin saw the signs she showed through her eyes and the recognition, she breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you. . Rin. . Haku." She said sincerely as she took the medicine from Rin's hand, taking a pill, and swallowing it. Xiao Hui made her best effort and took the glass of water on the table, helping the pill go down smoother. Chills ran up her spine as she felt something in her gut that something was amiss. . beyond wrong . . and it involved Laohu. Her eyes scanned the area, as she tried to find the pouches of needles she was given and the knife she took as precaution. "The weapons. . I had last night. . I don't know where the medical team or the others kept it." Xiao Hui said, her face paling slightly, "If. . something is happening, I can't be empty handed. . especially if I'll only be useless on the field." She said, not wanting to back down and become a burden for both Rin and Haku. However, hearing the door open, she looked over, seeing Barry entering the room, hair soaked and face paled. She observed Barry's expression for a few second as she glanced over to where he was looking: Haku. Smiling slightly, she knew from that moment the reason for his reaction, but nevertheless, he quickly ran towards the table, scrabbling for what seemed like paper, and in a jiffy, came by her other side, helping her on her feet. Looking at the note, Xiao Hui blinked. Bodyguards? Why were there bodyguards here? Unless. . . Eyes widening, Xiao Hui quickly spoke, "What did they look like? Did they say anything? Why are they here?" She quickly spoke towards Barry, her heart beating rapidly as fear consumed her being. Swallowing a lump in her throat, Xiao Hui coughed slightly once more, "No, but thank you, Barry. Rin and Haku managed to get the medicine for me. . However. . they promised me they'd help me find Laohu. I'm not going anywhere without him." She said stubbornly, before she asked Barry, "Is anyone injured? What's the safest exit here? Where is everyone else?" Xiao Hui asked, a million question and thoughts whirling in her head before she took a shallow breathe once more, wincing at the pain. She gritted her teeth, not liking the position she was in. If she was injured, she would be beyond useless, especially if the other needed Rin or Barry's help. Biting her lips, Xiao Hui willed herself to stand up, trying not to lean against Rin and Barry for support, wanting to walk on her own. Hopefully, the medicine she took before Barry came in would work soon.

Hearing Kit's "nya" and feeling his shaking form, she held him closer to her bossom, giving her some warmth before entering the hallways. The sprinklers and the loud blaring noise of the hotel was making her head hurt, but nevertheless, she walked on with her companions by her side. She wouldn't let them down as she kept her ears on alert and waited to strike, even if it means face-to-face hand combats. The water soaked her long black-hair and the shirt and pants she had been wearing. Xiao Hui was glad the clothes wasn't constricting, making it easier for her to move and walk in. However, hearing the sounds of yelling, grunts, and the smell of drenched blood, Xiao Hui bit her lip, taking a deep breathe. "Rin, Haku, Barry, be on your guard. And no matter what happens, take care of yourself." She said, knowing she may have to bypass the guards and find Laohu. Her nerves were skyrocketing at the thought of. . them finding him and her. Xiao Hui prayed it wasn't. . them.
