Ash looked at Simon a look of worry still decorating his face. It's not that he didn't have faith in Simon! Far from it actually... He just knew for a fact that Fie can be very troublesome, sure when they are in sync the two are amazing partners, something anyone could see in and out of a fight. But when Fie entered stubborn mode... Oh gods dealing with a room full of children may be easier. "Just make sure he doesn't get his hands on a lot of sugar, have one eye on him at all times, put a leash on him if you must. And gods don't let him see shiny things on people. He will snatch them." Ash said his shoulders going down a bit as he sighed. Fie looked at Ash and stuck his tongue out before hopping out of his hands and onto Simon's shoulder. "I like shiny stuff.... So what." He mumbled as he sat on Simon's shoulder minding the decoration.

Ash sighed and shook his head. "Just, watch out for him, yeah?" He asked as he scratched the back of his head. After saying this he turned and decided to go to his partner, soon he located the phoenix and went over to her with a smile. "Now aren't you a bright sight in this new coat of yours." He said with a grin as he looked at her. "It will be interesting to have you as my partner, I don't think we have talked much yet."

Before he said anything else he glanced at his watch. Noting the time he looked at her once more. "I guess we should head off to the hanger now. Would really hate it if we missed the plane." He joked knowing full well it wouldn't leave without at least three fourths of the group. The entire time he talked to Luness he had his back to Xaio. He had glanced at her earlier after she had changed, and he knew full well that if he so much as looked at her. The solemn promise he made to himself (after learning about how Alec had adored Xaio almost as much as him) would be broken, and he truly hated to break his promise... But from the glance...gods he soooo wanted to flirt with her. Actually he wanted a bit more than that but hey, by now Alc should have already confessed his undying love right? So he wouldn't want to get in the middle of that.

Luness had amusingly watched everything unfold before and had a good laugh at Alec and Xiao's feeble attempt at complimenting one another. At least Leandra had tried to help the two.

Seeing Ash approach her in his new getup, Luness smiled warmly and then said, "Hello, Ash. Your disguise looks marvelous, dear. And thank you, the color isn't my style, but I can't complain too much."

Luness still hoped nobody would be deterred by her eyes since instead of glowing a soft blue, they now were a vibrant orange. Luckily, nobody seemed to have said anything about it, but who knew how anyone they met in China would react.

Nodding at Ash's comment, Luness then replied, "Yes, I don't believe we've really talked with one another, if at all. I always look forward to getting to know someone new, though."

Nodding again at the mention of heading to the hangar, Luness then said, "Very well, we can get to know each other better along the way, if you wish."

Taking flight and gliding down the hallways so as to keep herself from flying too quickly and leaving Ash behind, Luness then decided that she'd ask Ash some questions first.

"So, Ash, where are you from originally? What's your family like?"

Those two questions seemed like good places to start and would surely give Ash plenty to talk about.

Amber felt the pressure on her arm and turned back to face Simon. She was wearing a smug expression. "I'm glad you asked that." She said happily and held out her hand, in the center of which lay a small gold pin. To anyone outside the Watch it looked like just a decorative bauble, but to the agents, it was a sign of command.

"You'll be leading them."

She knew there was going to be a reaction but she felt she should say her bit before he had a chance to protest.

"Simon," She used his first name and suddenly the memories of all those years ago seemed a little more fresh. "You're the most experienced agent on the team, and you can lead. We both know you can. And Darcy knows it too. That's why I recommended you, and he granted you the promotion."

The edge of Simon's collar was slightly crooked and before she could think of what she was doing she reached up to fix it. Meeting his eyes however quickly made her retreat back a pace. She produced a thin manila dossier and put it between them for him to take.

"All the information about the case is in there, and don't worry, there's a local contact who'll pick you up from the airport. She can help you with logistics."

She handed off the rest of the dossiers to an attendant who would pass them out among the other agents. Her eyes drifted to the ramp that lead to their aircraft and suddenly her expression fell.

"Professionalism aside." She began. "I want you to be careful. These Rogues, they're not playing with kid gloves. I saw what that machine of theirs is capable of. Its horrific, and if they catch you, any of you, I've got no doubt that psychotic bear will try to use it on you."

She met his eyes with a stern but caring pride. "So Simon Sinclair, this time...you damn well better come back."

An elegant black, fitted tuxedo, complete with a red silk vest and bowtie. A snake is embroidered one one shoulder and drapes down the side of the jacket. The thread used to create the work of art is also black and glints only when light hits it at a certain angle, making it invisible at any other view. Embroidered snakes also coil on each cuff, which are done up with silver links. His hair is been slicked back, though some renegade strands still fall into his face and the majority is tied into a small rat tail behind his head. He is also wearing contact that have turned his eyes from hazel into a deep, jade green.

"Y-Yeah, Leandra, you look fantastic too." Alec recovered eventually, giving Leandra a grateful look as she chose not to embarrass him further.

"Sorry, yeah, what I meant to say was--" It was then Jimbo walked past and complimented both the girls perfectly. Alec pointed to him with a defeated sigh and added "What the ape said."

He followed behind the girls, trying not to draw attention as they made their way to the hangar.

The dossier was an interesting one to be sure. They would be split up into teams, which made sense, hit all the targets at once and you stand a chance of looking less suspicious while getting your info in a shorter amount of time. But his target...made him a little nervous.

"You have got to be kidding me." He muttered moodily. To top that off he would be on a team with Ash. Perfect. Somehow he didn't feel like this mission was going to be much fun for him. He suddenly found himself thinking of Duik and hoped the hyena was getting a better deal.

@crucialstar @Lioness075

Duik, after donning the shutter shades adopted a posh look, pursing his lips slightly and looking down his long muzzle at the other agents as he passed them.

He read Barry's note quickly and suddenly his confidence faltered. "Oh, I don't think...I mean, its a professional event...they've probably already booked someone super famous...right? Besides, who's gonna do the talking when we get to our target?"

They made their way down to the hangar with Duik strutting happily most of the way. he chuckled as Barry made the observation.

"Tell me about it! Its like going to a prom!" Duik actually had no idea what that was like personally, but he'd seen enough sitcoms to guess.

The dossier was given to them as they made their way onto the plane. Duik had made sure to pack all his DJ gear with his laptop. His headphones were as usual, draped about his spotted neck. He caught sight of Alec, Xiao, Leandra and the others following them up and waved at them all excitedly.

"I am so ready to do this!! Are you ready?"

Rin smiled, very widely at Eos' comments. He wasn't used to the flattery, so he thoroughly enjoyed it. "Thank you so very much Eos. I appreciate your wonderful words. I hope it is as you say and Haku finds more love and acceptance as time goes on." Once he was done stretching out he fixed his top. He glanced a look over at Alec and smiled as Haku seemed very entertained with a new look. "I must run upstairs before departing to the hangar Eos. I must get my belt, and the rest of my bags. That belt could mean life or death where we're going." He said making it seem much more important than necessary. In truth it was the belt from the last mission. He managed to convince Nigel to let him keep it longer to run more field tests on it. Afterwards he would help out with some more testing and suggestions. He loved the belt, and the Katana it became. "Will you be changing as well Eos? Not that you don't look regal as you are." He said with a smile before taking off. He had left before he could witness Haku's new color.

Haku nodded as she slipped herself securely across Alec's shoulders. She slipped down onto a table and chose her color. The red, it was bright and passionate. Full of energy, and she loved it. She turned to look at Alec halfway through her dye job and she smiled. "Dashing!! dear, just dashing!!" She exclaimed happily. Once she was dried she smiled. "You like? I think the bright red contrasts your tux perfectly." She said as she slid back onto him. She only chuckled to herself at Alec's reaction to Xiao. The boy had feelings, that was for sure. But they needed to sort themselves out by themselves. She stood silent the whole while after. As they walked towards the hangar she whispered to Alec. "Don't worry, a few glares from me might help keep the love hounds at bay." She suggested defensively. Alec was one of the few who she knew expressed any outright positive emotion towards her. She treasured that and would guard him with her life, and her fangs. Even if it was from overly pushy matchmakers. "Also, please remind Rin of the flask. You see, my venom is much more extreme than a normal viper's. And thus much more limited, and the alcohol helps it to develop faster. I would hate for us to need and run out." She said, her voice was low and a bit somber by the time she finished speaking. She didn't like to speak of things that involved experiments and that part of her past, but something like this could be critical if they were out in the field for an extended time.

When Rin arrived at the hangar he nearly gasped. Everyone looked so different from just a few hours ago. Everyone was stunning and he smiled. He turned to look for Alec and Haku and he actually gasped aloud. "Wow, Haku you look amazing!" He said truly stunned. He turned to Alec. "And you Alec, look like a young James Bond. Debonair Watch agent indeed." He said jokingly before turning to receive his dossier. He began looking around trying to spot Eos. Haku smiled at Rin. "You look handsome as well Rin. I am happy to see your new attire suits you dear." She said with a smile. "Oh, please Rin the flask. I don't want to get caught without it again." She said in a low voice. Rin nodded and smiled "Alec, here you may need this. It helps with Haku's venom." He said holding a silver flask with a snake engraved on the front.

Aslan jumped at the sight of a bright red snake heading in their direction. thinking it was venomous, His fur stuck up in all directions, making him look like an angry/flustered floofball when he realized it was Haku. He turned to lick his fur back down, tuning out the ramblings of a ranting Julia. "Just 'cause I like clothes..." Blah blah. "ASLAN Are you listening?!"

Just then they reached the hangar, in time to hear someone say, "Are you ready?"

"Of course I am!" Julia cheered enthusiastically, abandoning her previous argument. She was really loaded like a spring for her new mission, not unlike Aslan, who was twitching his tail a hundred miles per minute.. Half is from that scare and you know it, Aslan. ' Me too!' He puffed out his chest, giving a single nod at Duik. 'Looks like the prank is called off for now...' He thought to himself, making sure that Julie couldn't hear.

Hearing Jimbo, Xiao Hui looked over and blinked in surprise, smiling softly at the gorilla. "Thank you, Jimbo. You look good in white. And Simon looks incredible in red, too." She complimented him and Simon sincerely as she saw him retreating away. Soon. she heard Falarion's response to her if he was feeling better, "As long as you're able to walk now and you're healing quickly, that's wonderful." She sighed in relief as she nodded,"Don't strain yourself more than needed, okay?" Xiao Hui said, her tone lace with slight concern, knowing the maned-wolf got side-tracked easily and tended to forget his own injuries since he seemed easily excitable. But, seeing his tail wag a mile a minute, she couldn't help but laugh, feeling her energy replenished even more at seeing Falarion excited for the celebration as well. However, her attention zoomed back on BB as she watched the hummingbird flutter around endlessly, seeing that she loved taking a look at her surroundings and being in the air often. She would definitely help for eyes in the air and fitting into small spaces for infiltrating an enemy base. "Although I chose the hat, it's the wearer that makes it look better on than not on." Xiao Hui winked at BB as she took mental notes of also getting some flowers if water or sugar wasn't available for her to grab anymore. "Flowers too? Do you have a favorite flower that you like? I find myself leaning towards orchids, actually." However, at hearing how it took Barry weeks to open up about his own struggles to the point he had to keep one eye open made her expression slightly falter. She knew Laohu always carried a pain look whenever she took another mental check to see if he was lying to her or not by staring straightly in his eyes. At the same time, she knew it was a force of habit to not trust others as easily as she wanted. Right now, she felt comfortable with her comrades because of the different life events they had gone through in the few week or month they had been together. Perhaps that's why she felt closer to them than she could ever feel at home because they all reveled and shared in their own personal struggles. They were all there for each other, whether it was voiced or not, everyone did their best to support one another, and that's all she could ask for. "So is Barry able to sleep comfortably now?" Xiao Hui asked curiously before BB perched on her shoulders. Once BB was situated, Xiao Hui began speaking quietly so only BB could hear her, "I don't blame him for doing so, but I know it killed him slightly inside to know he had to keep such a secret. Since, as you know, we're the same, slightly, in that aspect. However. . I can't sleep a wink some nights without having nightmares." She said honestly, confiding in the small hummingbird on her shoulders. BB was so open with her and she couldn't help but want to share her struggles as well, especially since she had been nothing but accepting towards being her partner. Glad that BB felt the same way of talking to someone other than their bonded partners, Xiao Hui welcomed the new change of pace. But, at hearing that BB wanted to play matchmaker, Xiao Hui tilted her head, "You played matchmaker before? How did that go? Is it something along the lines of arranged marriages?" She asked in wonder before listening to BB chatter on again. "J-jackpot of love? O-our faces? Priceless?" Xiao Hui flushed slightly, wondering what she meant by that. How did her face look? Was it weird?

Thankfully, BB changed the conversation to her way of fighting as she grinned, winking at her,
"I'm glad you think it's a unique way." However, at the mention of BB saying she was glad to be on her side, Xiao Hui laughed, "I think I'm glad to be on your side as well, little one." She said softly, before listening to BB talk to herself it seemed like. Nevertheless, Xiao Hui welcomed the chirping of the hummingbird in her ears as she smiled, "I wouldn't treat you any less than a partner-in-crime, perhaps? Plus, you're my partner, aren't you? I need to take care of you because I know you'll do the same for me. I'll definitely take you off on your offer, BB. You'll definitely be "my girl" when it comes to distractions." Xiao Hui genuinely said as she made her way around the hanger. Once she walked to the group, Xiao Hui heard Duirk's voice ringing with excitement and enthusiasm. "Duirk! As ready as we'll ever be!" She exclaimed cheerfully, not before staring at his new dyed coat, but nevertheless, she missed him. Before waving over towards Duirk, she looked over to see Barry around him as well. Waving towards Barry, she smiled, "Hi, Barry. It's nice to officially meet you. I adore BB already." Xiao Hui nodded happily. Soon, Xiao Hui headed towards Agent Strong, "Thank you, Agent Strong. I'm glad to see you walking around and as healthy as ever." She said sincerely before taking two dossiers, one for her and one for Barry. Taking the files, she handed one to Barry, "Here you go." She said politely before she headed towards a spot to sit as she looked over the dossier. Feeling someone's eyes on her, Xiao Hui glanced over behind for a few seconds, only to spot Ash sporting silver/white hair and eye contacts. She blinked slightly, shocked at his change in appearance only for her to smile softly, "I sort of miss your purple hair, Ash." She said as she realized most of them decided to change their hair or fur color to white as those who naturally had white fur or hair had to change into a darker hair color, except for Laohu, he was too prissy to let anyone touch his fur but herself. Suddenly, at hearing a groan and a voice laced with frustration, Xiao Hui's eyes looked over towards Alec as she tilted her head when he said "you got to be kidding me". Wondering what made him say those words, Xiao Hui looked down at the files once more as her eyes bulged out. Her target was: Maximillian Long, a black market specialist that deals with logistic and shipment details, and storage location. "Notorious philanthropist with a taste for men?" Xiao Hui read out-loud as she stared at BB in shock before looking down at the file again, reading the case,"Need source points, names of the groundwork people who are kidnapping, and timing of shipments." Once she finished, Xiao Hui looked down at the list of people she'll work with. Blinking, her eyes wandered towards Ash, Rin, and Alec. "A triple entendre? It seems BB? Plus it seems like the guys have their work cut-out for them." She teased, wondering how this would work out, as she remembered Ash is paired with Luness, Rin is paired with Eos, and lastly Alec is paired with Haku. At least Rin and Haku were together, not too separated. Waving towards Haku and Rin, Xiao Hui smiled at them, "Your skin vibrant yet beautiful, Haku. The traditional attires suit you, Rin." However, seeing that Alec was on her team, she bit her lips slightly, knowing her plans of trying to avoid Alec may be harder than she thought. Even more so, knowing her teammates were going after these three traffickers made her worry even more.

As Laohu looked behind him, he heard one of the agents calling out towards Leandra as they brought her the medkit. Seeing Leandra's expression, Laohu took notice of it as he saw the look of panic disappear from her face as she looked grateful and not about to pass out. Taking a mental note, he made sure he would remind Leandra to get her medkit wherever she went so she wouldn't worry too much. Once they walked into the hanger, before Laohu sat down near Leandra, he went over to where Agent Strong was handing out the dossiers and grabbed one for Leandra. Carefully taking the file in his mouth, Laohu bowed his head at Agent Strong before trotting over as he sat next to Lea and placed the dossier on her lap.
"Honestly, you don't need to try since you already have a natural glow. Plus, your hair and eyes enough are able to steal the show in any room you enter." He said honestly before Lea explained in more details about Luness' mimicry and if she ever thought of being a singer as a profession. However, seeing Lea's nervousness once more when he asked her to sing, she seemed a bit reluctant to do it. Perhaps it was because she didn't want all the attention on her, "Perhaps. . with Luness' ability to mimicry a female's voice perfectly to a tee, maybe you can have Alec and Xiao play the instruments for you as you sing. Sort of as they call. . a band?" He suggested, hoping she and the others may agree for this sort of entertainment. He figured it'll be a great pass time whenever they're not on missions and it'll be a good down time. Smiling at the mention of hot chocolate, he did remember the first time they all went on a mission together, somehow everyone ended up bonding some sort of way through hot chocolate, if he remembered correctly. Observing from afar and staying in the background was always his forte, "Hot chocolate, hm? Why do you like it so much? I can never understand the taste of chocolate. . . or sweets, in general. Meat is the way to go." He chuffled in response as he surpressed his drool of wanting to have some protein before the mission. Maybe he should have ate before he left, but then again, the plane trip to China was going to be a long one. "You like sitting in front of the heater? Like the machine or vents that blows out hot air?" Laohu asked, a little confused, not liking the heat on his fur, but nevertheless, remembered laying by a fireplace with Hui on their first mission. Maybe that's what Lea meant? But, soon, his attention was drawn to Lea's speech as he grinned in response as he reminisced to the times he and Hui snuck on the roof of the manor just to look at the stars. "I never saw the sunset before, though Hui and I have stargazed many times. But yes. . I have to agree with you Lea, the little you have, the more you appreciate and the world does become beautiful just as we are more attuned with nature and at peace with ourselves." Laohu appreciated her words, spoken like a true philosopher in a sense. However, soon, Lea ended up scratching behind his ears and petting his head. Purring softly, Laohu chuffed, "Ah . . that's the spot." He said, before coughing slightly, staring at Lea, slightly serious, "If you tell anyone, I'll pummel you." Laohu said, before he broke out into a lopsided grin.

Soon, Laohu took this time to lean back as he flipped open the dossier that was on Lea's lap for the both of them to look at. Tilting his head, he began reading the case files as he frowned at the three different targets the team were suppose to "cozy" up to. Looking at each of the people in the file, he made a mental note to remember their faces just in case something were to happen and he'd spot them around somewhere in the markets of China. However, his eyes took notice of the team he would be on: Zoe, Lea, Simon, and Beth. Blinking, he eyed the woman: Marie-Lynn Westleton. He rolled his eyes,
"She's one of those rich people who likes to gossip and flaunt themselves, it seems. But, looks like we have to put up with her to find the trafficker's base." Knowing Lea was the complete opposite of this woman, Beth and Zoe were probably also the same. Though, he definitely will find it amusing how the team would interact with the floozy. Looking over towards his other companions for the small mission they were doing together, he made sure to remember Beth was teamed with Falarion, Simon was teamed with Fie, and Zoe was teamed with Cedar. Out of all of them, he knew he was in for a ride considering Fie was definitely the epitomie of a troublemaking, charming, prankster as Falarion was quite the adrenaline-rushing, hyperactive, and easily excitable maned-wold. Nevertheless, Laohu was glad he wouldn't be bored on this mission, but it made it much that harder since he felt as if he and Cedar would have to watch out for those two. "Looks like we're gunna have a great company with us." He amused yet grinned slightly before jumping town the seat next to Lea to look around for Falarion, Simon, Fie, Zoe, Beth, and Cedar. "Should we all sit together and discuss the plans or do it when we arrive?" He looked over towards Lea, wondering what her opinions were for this operation. Nevertheless, what we worried about the most was what was going to happen when they were in China. Beijing is the epitome of the city of unpredictableness.

Simon stood in shock as he listened to Amber speak. He didn't have any trouble focusing on what she was saying, it was clear as a bell. But what she was saying still was hard to believe. Suddenly he felt like his spotter had disappeared and he was bearing a full load of his bench press over his head. This was big, the mission, the success, the failure, everything was going to be on his head. Slowly he reached up and picked up the pin from Ambers delicate hand. He looked at it, clasped between his fingers and swallowed the sudden nerves that cropped up.

When Amber reached up and grabbed his collar to fix it, Simon's nerves stopped. He felt the weight lift and when he met her gaze he was back to his normal self. He smiled at her as she pulled away and thrust the envelope towards him. He pinned the badge to a spot on his fancy shirt right beneath the dragon as Amber told him to come back. With his usually goofy grin he reached for the envelope, brushing the top of Ambers' hand with his fingers as he did. Taking hold of the envelope he took it from her as his eyes met hers again.

"There's nothing that will keep me from coming back."

Simon gave the little monkey on his shoulder a smile and took a deep breath. As he did he looked over to see Jimbo had been watching the entire time. No doubt his nerves had reached across to him and alerted him to what was going on. Simon smiled and pointed at the pin on his shirt. Jimbo smiled and gave his brother a thumbs up before turning back to Manjano who had managed to find a very nice wall to sulk on.

Jimbo watched Simon for a few more moments before he felt Manjano tap him on the shoulder. He pointed back to the men who were finishing uploading things and Jimbo smirked at them before he looked up at Manjano.

"That? That's just a little insurance I had the Weapons department make sure got loaded onto the plane. After what happened in Paris and Kootenay, I'm not taking any chances on the Rouges not bringing bigger guns. Might as well have fire power to match right?"

Jimbo's devilish smile only got deeper as he talked. At the end of it, He nodded towards the plane as he saw several others climbing aboard and figured they should as well.

Simon watched as the rest of the team began to file into the plane before turning back to amber one last time.

"Tell ya what, make me a deal. I bring us back in one piece, me and you go get drinks ,like old times. Think that's fare enough don't you my little primate friend."

Simon gave Fie a thumbs up and winked at Amber before turning towards the plane without waiting for a response. After all, if she couldn't say no then technically it was a date.

Beth's hair was dyed to a shade of brown and pulled back into a complicated style she will never even try to replicate. She's wearing a red and white dress with red heels, and a dramatic rose gold eye look with bright red lipstick to match her dress.

Beth listened quietly to the chatter, including Simon and Amber, Bael and Zoe, and the little debacle between Xiao and Alec. Leandra seemed particularly interested in that one, which she found interesting. For a moment, she recalled the feeling she had about Leandra and Alec, but now it was clear Alec adored Xiao. All of this was beside any point, but it was interesting nevertheless.

She glanced over at Totus, and he at her, but they had made a silent agreement to let each other figure things out on their own. After all, they could be consulting one another while pretending to be paired otherwise. He gave her a nod, and from the look in his eyes, he could tell he was amused by her appearance. She wished she could tweak his facial ruff right then.

The young woman fiddled with the gold cuff on her wrist absently, waiting for the others to be ready to go. Xiao spoke to her, and Beth blinked in surprise. "Uh.. thank you, Xiao. Although, Im afraid I must be the least of us. You all are stunning." She paused, considering. "I supposed Im as ready as I'll ever be."

When Xiao departed, Beth smiled down at Falarion, with a small laugh.

"Dont worry, Fal, we girls have our secrets." She said, reaching down and scratching him behind the ears. She caught the excitement in Xiao's voice, but it wasnt completely contagious. Beth felt a bolt of nervousness. She had avoided parties religiously since she left home. Festivals were just one giant party, right?

She shouldered her bag and headed toward the hangar, Falarion by her side like a true companion. She found herself reaching down and touching him affectionately every few strides. He was just so sweet, she couldnt help it.

As they reached the hangar, Beth reached into the side pocket of her backpack and withdrew a package of hot cocoa mix and a plastic spoon. She ripped open the pouch and dipped the spoon in, eating the powder with obvious enjoyment. It probably would seem odd to the others, but it was one of her most favorite things. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Manjano with Jimbo, but after their interrupted talk, she couldnt quite bring herself to speak to him more than she already had.

Beth boarded and found a seat near those listed on her team, reading through the file and eating her hot cocoa mix, occasionally reaching over to give Falarion a little love.

Barry took notice to Duik's rather uncharacteristic, or at least to him from his limited knowledge of him, chatter about the set up. A fire was welling up in Barry's chest now. He had been there before. Thinking there were better people than him who would surly get the better leads in theater. That's the thing though. He had to keep trying or else there was no way he would make it. Scribbling down quickly, with less well crafted handwriting, the focus in his eyes were pointed to Duik. They might have a line up, sure. Ever hear of the term "break a leg"? Sometimes it isn't suppose to be for good luck. Maybe, just maybe. One of them has a bad jet lag, eats something they don't agree with, literally breaks their leg somehow. It doesn't matter. You say your a DJ then you're gonna take any chance you get. You could practically see the fire in Barry's eyes now. Expressing ones self was something he loved to help people with. It was a challenge from time to time since he couldn't speak. Somehow he gets the point across eventually. Once Duik's enthusiasm spiked again, Barry raised a thumb to signal that he was ready.

Moments later, Xiao came over with friendly smile. Talking about how it was nice to meet him and that BB was good company.
Like wise. It's good to know that she isn't too much of a hand full. HEY! What's that suppose to mean Mr. Jacket and shirt? Why would I need to dress up more than needed if they don't know who I am? He wrote down with a brow raised in amusment. As Xiao handed him the files, Barry gave her a sign for 'Thank you' though he doubted she would know what it meant. Placing the notebook and pen down, he flipped past the file and took in as much info as he could. [Just our luck isn't it?] He thought to himself with a smile. The head of the club with a fondness for art and talent? He looked over his shoulder to Duik and back at the file again. [Guess someone is getting a broken leg then... Just like old times. This time for a good cause though. That is why i'm here.] Heading back to Duik and a new face he could only presume was one of the few appointed to Duik and Barry's target. Looking back at the file again, he noticed it was only one female. He packed the file up and took out his notes again. Hello there, i'm Barry. It is nice to meet you Julia. Looks like we are working together. Handing her the file for the mission briefing. He looked down at her bonded friend. They did mention that they were too new to separate. Oddly enough, he felt like him and Julia's friend were similar in a way. Placing a hand to his scarf, he let out a sigh.

@TheBOOKWORMgal

Any flower is fine! The liquid tastes all the same. DELICIOUS! OOO OOO OOO! Zoe said she would get us cakes if we have a clean sweep of the mission. No bad injuries or suspensions! This is going to be a piece of CAKE! She said with as much hyperness as a money with sugar. Yeah... Though he does put on a little act like he is fine. I've been around him long enough to know that. If you do have troubles you should talk with someone about them. Get it aaaallll off your chest. Barry told me long ago that laying out everything before you can show yourself something that even you didn't see before. That was when we were packing to move to California though. I think it still holds true in this situation.

Once she talked about being partners, BB piped down a little. Crime? Where? She said acting oblivious. b-but yeah! I'll do my best boss! Moments pass and Xiao headed over to Barry. They did a quick Exchange of words and papers. Barry had that look that BB loved. A goal to work for. She only catches rare occasions of it now. It would do him good, what ever he was thinking. BB was lost in thought for a short while after that. Day dreaming about the better years of their life when things seemed to be going the right way. She snapped out of it when Xiao had a shocked face and was staring right at her. It was very uncomfortable and she couldn't help but ball up a little. No, we have some work cut out for us. She said while reading the files in Xiao's hand. The guys get the easy part. Flirt the big guy up. All we can do is... Make him drink and gamble I suppose? I'm not sure. He eyes caught the team pairing. [Alec...Alec... which one was... Oh right!] She thought to herself before sporting a devilish grin. While she was watching the group have their rather embarrassing display of affection, Xiao and Alec had some work to do. The writing was on the walls. They just needed to finish the story! Well well well. Looks like we got some pretty hunky men on our team huh? She giggled close to Xiao's ear so no one should be able to hear. This trafficker stands no chance of NOT falling in love.

Alec had to admit, his new suit did compliment Haku's new colouring. The pair of them together radiated an intimidating and elegantly handsome air.

"The idea was to blend in, lets hope the better-looking half of Beijing ends up at this club." He said quietly. When she offered to glare at their teammates he laughed.

"Please! And if this Maxmillian what's-his-name gets any wrong ideas, I need you to bite him!"

Just then he heard Rin behind him, impressed by his snake's new colour. He turned about so Rin could admire Haku better. Made a funny face as Rin likened him to James Bond, which quickly dissolved the image, then winked. "Our target's not going to know what hit him."

He accepted the flask with a respectful bow since he had learned that bowing was still very much a part of Japanese custom.

Amber opened her mouth to protest. "Now w-wait a minute!" But the door had already shut and her words fell outside it.

She sighed as she and Calista retreated to the control bay.

The civet had an expression on that spoke of knowing something that Amber didn't.

"There's no dealing with this guy." Amber mumbled, and then tried to prevent a sigh that would betray the fact that she found it completely irresistible.

Calista said nothing. Only continued to smile.

"What? No snide remark, no insulting jab...you're not even going to call him a name?"

"Nah." The civet replied.

Amber made a face. "Yeah, well I'm not sure who's more hopeless, him...or me."

While Alec had sent a compliment Leandra's way, she'd quickly gotten distracted by Laohu's conversation amongst other things and she had completely missed it.

As the others began gathering about in the hangar, Leandra saw Duik approaching the small group and she grinned when he waved one of his paws at them.

"Hell yeah, I'm ready for this, Duik!"

Shouting this, Leandra almost immediately regretted it, as it echoed throughout the hangar. While it echoed about, Leandra promptly facepalmed. Good job, Lea.

Leandra smiled at Laohu when he gave her the dossier and she flipped it open before skimming it vaguely while listening to Laohu's words.

Hearing Laohu's compliments made Leandra's cheeks turn pink, as she glanced up from the dossier and said with a sheepish grin, "I highly doubt that, Laohu, but thanks anyways. You're very kind."

Listening to Laohu talk about the mimicry and singing, Leandra then laughed at the mention of the musically gifted ones in the group putting together some kind of band.

"That...could actually be pretty fun. We should totally suggest it when we next have downtime and all."

Glancing back at the dossier, Leandra raised an eyebrow at the person they'd be tackling. A rich, prissy, brat lady. Brilliant. Leandra was more likely to piss her off than anything else. Probably would be wise to keep her mouth shut for the most part.

As Laohu responded to her mention of hot chocolate, Leandra smiled warmly at his question of why she liked it so much.

"It was one of the rare treats I was allowed to enjoy growing up. I'd sneak out of the house and go to coffee shops that were open late just so I could get a cup and be away from home for even just an hour or two. I would literally save all of my money earned from jobs and little things I did for people just so I could some hot chocolate. I've never had any coffee because of how expensive it is. There's this atmosphere in coffee shops that just puts me at ease. I also love to people-watch and a coffee shop is the perfect place to do just that. Of course, it's hard when you go late at night and most people aren't around. I do tend to see mostly just college students at that time."

Leaning back in her seat a bit, Leandra smiled to herself, as she recalled her mini adventures to the local coffee shop at night. She went so often that she eventually didn't even need to order her drink anymore. She'd come in and they'd already have made it so it was waiting for her since they knew when she'd show up each night. It was one of those rare moments in her life growing up, where she genuinely was happy.

Glancing sideways at Laohu while he spoke about the heaters, Leandra grinned and said, "I have a crazy high metabolism and because of this, my body basically is incapable of generating its own body heat. I'm almost always feeling cold unless I'm standing in the sun or sitting in front of a heater at home. I managed to finally convince one of my sets of parents to get one for me and it was just heavenly. I still have it, too. It's a little portable one. And yes, they're the little machines that look almost like fans, but generate heat instead of cool air. Except mine's so fancy that it can do both."

Pausing, Leandra then added with a grin, "In fact, I think it's the most expensive thing I own."

Leandra's eyes widened and her jaw dropped when Laohu said he'd never seen the sunset before. What in the world? Did Laohu and Xiao Hui's home not have any windows or something? What, did they live in a prison?

Giving Laohu a somewhat comical, yet serious face, Leandra then said determinedly, "Laohu, you have to see a sunset. It's, like, one of the most amazing things to witness and the fact that you say you've never seen one before is unacceptable."

Changing her tone to one of slight amusement, Leandra then added, "That can be a side mission for us."

Giggling when Laohu purred in response to her petting and ear-scratching on top of hearing what he said, Leandra almost instantly felt compelled to do it again.

Hearing him coughing a bit and then hearing what he said next, Leandra's eyes practically shined in the moment, as she burst out laughing, finding his seriousness all too amusing.

Smirking at Laohu, Leandra then said, "Don't worry, Laohu, I won't tell anyone."

As Laohu looked about at everyone having gathered here, Leandra took the time to do the same, as she reviewed everyone who was on her team. When she read Zoe's name, Leandra had to resist the urge to facepalm for the third time in the past few minutes. As long as the woman didn't go off on some tangent about the team's duties or how they were having too much fun, Leandra could deal with her. As it was, Leandra barely knew anything about Cedar beyond the fact that he was a bear and she could, at least, recognize him on sight. Glancing back at the list, Leandra grinned when she read Simon's name, though her grin faltered a bit when she saw who his partner was. Instead, Leandra instantly groaned. Fie. Of course, it just had to be Fie. Leandra could only hope he'd keep his pranking to minimum while they were on the mission. On the upside, that crazy little monkey was sure to lighten the mood, which would definitely be helpful. Shaking her head in amusement, Leandra looked back at the list to read the last name. Beth. Well, well, Leandra was going to be on the same team as her brother's love interest. Well, at least, she believed Beth was still his love interest. Her brother was ridiculously complicated so Leandra could only imagine how Beth was dealing with him at the moment. Looking yet again at the list, Leandra grinned when she saw Falarion was Beth's partner. That furball was sure to make things more fun. And get distracted 24/7. They'd have to keep a close eye on Falarion so he didn't wander off on his own, which was a strong tendency.

Hearing Laohu talking about their target, Leandra looked sideways at him and then rolled her eyes as well upon hearing his analyzation of her. Fun.

Nodding at Laohu's assessment, Leandra then added, "Basically, I'll probably just end up pissing her off if I speak to her and if she learns of my background whatsoever, then she's going to look down on me for being a 'peasant'."

Shaking her head in slight amusement, Leandra then said, "Y'know, I actually have been called that before, too. You'd think we were still in the Middle Ages or something."

At the mention of their teammates, Leandra nodded and then said, "This definitely outta be interesting, Laohu."

When Laohu moved and asked about finding the others, Leandra shook her head and said, "I wouldn't sweat it, Laohu. We're all going to be together once we get there. We'll figure it all out then. Just sit back and enjoy the flight, I suppose."

Falarion grinned at Xiao's concern and responded with even more wagging of his tail, "I can't guarantee that, Xiao! I mean, just think of how exciting this mission is going to be! We get to go to the New Years Celebration in China!"

Beyond excited, Falarion bounded after Beth, his eyes as wide as snow globes, as he couldn't stop wagging his tail with how excited he felt.

Grinning back at Beth's response to his concern for all of the females wearing dresses and heels, Falarion then barked, "Okay!"

Trotting happily alongside Beth, Falarion absentmindedly wondered if Beth had ever had pets before.

"Beth, have you ever had a pet? Like, a dog or even a cat? Ohh, what about a lizard?"

Whenever Beth pet him, Falarion gave her a lopsided grin and then even barked at her a few times, his tail somehow wagging even faster now.

When they arrived at the hangar, Falarion excitedly glanced around the group, amazed at how different everyone looked now. This was crazy!

Smelling some chocolate nearby, Falarion sniffed at the air until he looked up at Beth with wide eyes and saw her eating straight out of a hot chocolate mix! Who does that?

Tilting his head at her, Falarion then asked, "Beth, why are you eating the hot chocolate mix? Aren't you supposed to use it to make the hot chocolate first?"

Boarding the plane alongside Beth, Falarion then leapt up onto the seat beside her and sat down while peering at the file as well.

Seeing that he was on Leandra's team, Falarion's eyes widened and his tail thumped loudly against the seat, as he even shuffled a bit in his seat. It'd been a long time since he'd played with Leandra or really hung out with her. Now they were on a select team together!

Reading about their target made Falarion's tail slow down, though. Frowning slightly, Falarion already found himself disliking the lady. She sounded rude, inconsiderate, and...rude. Falarion didn't like rude people.

Feeling Beth petting him instantly made his tail start thumping against the seat, as he grinned at her and said, "This lady sounds rude, but I'm sure we'll get the job done!"

Manjano listened to Jimbo's response and merely shook his head in slight amusement. Jimbo seemed heavily invested in his guns. Seemed to be similar to how much Manjano cared about all of his daggers and throwing knives.

Nodding at Jimbo when he gestured towards the plane that everyone was boarding, Manjano pushed off of the wall before making his way onto the plane and finding a seat at random.

While the others chatted and got settled amongst each other, Manjano was content to pull out a sharpening stone and one of his personal daggers before he began casually sharpening the already sharpened dagger. At this rate, he could perfectly cut a line in some paper with ease.

If anything, doing something was Manjano's primary way to avoid thinking about things that made him feel uncomfortable, specifically Beth, who seemed to be avoiding him after their interrupted discussion earlier. Manjano had thought he'd done a brilliant job of conveying his feelings towards her, but maybe he'd gone wrong somehow. She didn't seem encouraged at all to approach him. Had he made things worse instead of better?

While everyone boarded the plane, Luness called out to Ash just before she boarded as well, "Come along, dear! We wouldn't want to be left behind, now would we?"

As she settled down on the top of a seat in the plane, her talons comfortably holding her still, Luness then glanced about, her head tilting this way and that, as she casually eavesdropped on the various conversations here and there.

Overhearing Leandra and Laohu's conversation brought a warm smile to Luness' face. Well, beak.

Shifting her attention again, Luness then listened to Duik and Alec's exchange, finding herself grinning at the hyena's teasing of Alec's new look.

Unable to help herself, which was no doubt thanks to years spent around Leandra, Luness added into the conversation, "Alec, dear, don't mind Duik. I think you look like a very handsome...angry lawyer."

Chortling to herself after saying this, Luness' head bobbed up and down a bit, finding her own joke to be highly amusing even if nobody else liked it.

As the plane landed, Leandra woke from her nap that she'd decided to take, yawning and stretching a bit before settling back down in her seat with a slight groan. Her sleep had been so peaceful, why did she have to get up now? Oh, right. Because they have a mission and have arrived. Ugh.

As they all entered the airport, Leandra's eyes widened in surprise at how many people were around and her heart felt like it was in her throat the whole time they weaved about, which was the exact same way Manjano was feeling in the airport. This was ridiculous.

Sticking close to the group while they got through the airport, Falarion had stuck by Beth's side specifically and gave her a comforting nudge a few times with the side of his head, as he knew she'd feel incredibly uncomfortable in here.

Manjano had given a few people some glares along the way, as he'd been bumped into multiple times. Was everyone here this rude and inconsiderate?

Luness had comfortably flown above the group, luckily avoiding all traffic flow except for a few other birds flying.

As they all packed onto a bus, both of the twins let out resounding sighs of relief while Falarion glued his face to the window and his tail wagged about behind him, possibly hitting someone in the face if they sat too close.

Luness perched on the top of a seat once more and tilted her head about while she took in the sights all around them.

Leandra took this moment to note that it was dusk outside and one could just barely see the endings of the sunset that had begun earlier. Grinning, Leandra pointed it out to Laohu and then said, "We'll have to see a better sunset than this one, though. You missed all of the fun colors that are seen at the beginning of the sunset and in the middle of it."

When they got to the hotel, the twins both were in and out of their rooms in a flash before rejoining the group where Falarion was quite literally bouncing in place from the excitement that he felt. Luness kept hovering over the team, gliding about in the lobby while waiting for everyone to regather.

Soon, everyone was back on a bus yet again.

Leandra groaned and slumped back in her seat when they got back on the bus before saying, "Okay, I'm already sick and tired of riding in buses."

Meanwhile, Falarion barked excitedly at his window, seeing the vibrant red and gold colors strewn about in the streets as well as the beautifully dressed people. There were so many people and decorations! And monkeys!

Looking at Fie in the bus, Falarion then excitedly said, "Hey, Fie! You'll fit in here!"

When their bus pulled up to the entrance of the club, the twins both exited and paused in awe of the club's exterior alone. They'd never been to a club before and this one was immense. It was also a bit intimidating in its size alone. Not to mention its fancy decorations and the such.

As the group entered the club and was stopped in the lobby, Falarion bounced up to Beth before saying, "Beth, isn't this place amazing? It's so big and red and pretty and exciting!"

Shaking his head at Falarion's antics since he was close enough to overhear his excited companion, Manjano then glanced sideways at Jimbo, curious as to how the gorilla felt about this place.

Luness soon landed on one of Ash's shoulders and glanced down at him before asking, "Dear, do you mind if I sit here for the moment? Flying around all of the time wears one out after a bit."

Leandra absentmindedly pet Laohu on the head, as she felt her heart racing since she could already hear the loud music and people talking inside the club. She definitely didn't feel all too welcome in a place like this. It was most certainly not her scene.

The small man in his splendid red silk jacket was joined by a young woman also dressed up for the occasion. In her case, a red-and-black silk brocade dress. Unlike most of the people in the club, though, she wasn't Chinese. Middle-Eastern maybe, judging by that nose, those cheekbones and the magnificently shiny, thick, curly black hair.

At her side padded a snowy spotted snow leopard with a matching red-and-black patterned collar, probably chosen for the occasion.

"I'm sure they'll sort it, mate," she says, grinning at the small man. "I've been waiting for them to show and here they are." The woman stepped past him and offered to shake with whoever took the lead. "Nín men hǎo, wǒ jiào Maia. Nín men fēixíng zěn me yàng?"

Maia's grin grew at the sight of any uncomprehending faces. "Sorry. I'm Maia, Maia Asim. That's Ahmose, gorgeous creature that she is," she added, as she tossed a nod of the head in the snow leopard's direction. "I'm glad you lot made it. Give the lad his invites so we can get on with it, shall we?"

She ended with a raised eyebrow. "...You were told to expect me, right? If not, best call me in and confirm so there's no misunderstanding."

Eos smiled at Rin as he spoke.

" These compliments reflect nothing but the truth, Master Rin. " he said, listening to what the boy had to say " Hmm, an interesting point. Perhaps I should consider a different approach with my appearance as well... "

" Let me handle that one, Eos. " he heard a familiar voice as he spotted Rory walking up to him.

" Ah Rory, I presume Zoe was satisfied with her disguise? "

" More or less. " the woman said " I shall take care about your fur. I know you don't like it but... "

" It needs to be done. Let's get to it. "

" Really? " Rory asked with disbelief " Don't you want to... oppose my opinion? Or fight against it? "

Eos raised his eyebrows.

" Why would I do that? It is a required asset to the mission, I shall do what must be done. "

Rory remained silent then walked off, signaling the stag to follow her. He could her she mumbling under her breath: " How on earth did you get together with Zoe... "

Eos smiled and nodded at Rin.

" Grab the essentials you require. Master Rin. I shall meet you in the hangar once we are done. "

With that they parted and Eos headed down to an area where others were already there for preparing the procedure. They painted his fur with quick, elegant movements, they were graceful, careful and also very efficient as they worked. Eos closed his eyes and relaxed as the masters worked on the perfect fur for him and once they proclaimed that they were done they showed his new self in a mirror. The stag smiled and nodded.

" Masterfully executed. " he said, thanking Rory before he decided to depart. He walked to the hangar, smiling at everyone who were present and looked for Rin. He was handed a dossier - well they made it so that it was attached to his antlers with flexible holders and he read through it quickly. It appeared that he was with Ash, Alec and Xiao as well as their partners for this mission and he read carefully through to know everything about the target.

" Black market, huh? " he murmured " Not the first time I had seen your kind, you sly dog. We shall see what fate is in store. "

He then boarded the plane, took his seat and waited for liftoff.

Zoe felt her blush intensifying as the silence sat in. Only now did she realize what she had asked and she immediately wanted to go back on her words, she did not want to embarrass Bael at all. But right before she could say anything an agent walked up to her and up a dossier in her hands, allowing her to read up on the mission details.

" Oh of course, the mission. " she said, opening the file, skimming through it. She noticed that she was together with Leandra, Simon and Beth and she sighed in relief. Hopefully she will not make a hustle from this disguise thing in front of them and could blend in flawlessly. Deciding to study their target on the plane she closed the dossier, turning to Bael and Totus once more.

" Well... I... " she started, feeling flustered once more. She finally shook her head, her expression turned calm and looked at the duo. " This mission will be different for all of us in a sense that it will test our skills to their limits. Totus... " she turned to the owl " Please do keep Bael safe. In return I promise that I will look after Beth, all right? "

She turned away, waving at them.

" Meet you later in the club, all right? "

With that she headed to the plane and boarded it with Cedar on her side. Once there she opened the file once more, analyzing the woman they were supposedly after but she could barely concentrate. Her errant thoughts were lingering in her mind, making it impossible for her to see or think clearly. She thought about Bael, the mission and China... everything converged in her brain, causing her head to swim.

" I hope Bael did not mind my clothes... " she whispered to herself, not knowing if she was loud enough to be heard by anyone and she finally delved into the files once more.

The flight to Bejing was a long one but Zoe did not mind this little distraction. As they landed with the plane her mind wandered off to thousands of places, in her head so many different scenarios were played that she could not recite all of them by the end of the journey. She was interested in this very specific mission, it appeared to her that stealth and secrecy are once more the key elements they needed to focus on - and she did plan to make he entrance much more subtle this time than in previous instances.

When they threw their packages off at the hotel she carefully put everything away so that when they arrived back it would be much easier to find. Afterwards as they headed towards the club she enjoyed the ride thoroughly: she looked left and right in amusement and was gasping at the wondrous city. Despite having traveled around the world for numerous occasions because of missions she still managed to avoid coming to China - though not intentionally. She admired the thousands of people on the busy streets, the lights which turned red and green constantly - this crowded city was unlike any she had seen before.

Arriving the club was no small feat in the traffic but they ended up arriving smoothly after all. Walking into the lobby she felt her heartbeats quicken for a bit as excitement took over. She quickly found her designated team, walking up to them with a serious expression.

" This will probably be the hardest part of the task. " she said, looking at Beth and Simon " I am certain that we are ready for this. "

She glanced at Leandra for a moment and stopped. The girl did look very fascinating, she was truly something to behold... but she felt it too awkward to compliment on her looks, especially because of what reaction she had the last time she did something like that. Instead she raised her thumb and nodded.

" Let us give our best and... and... " she could not believe that she was about to say this. " And let's enjoy ourselves... hopefully... "

She then noticed the new agent joining them and she bowed.

" You have indeed come to the right place, Maia, welcome to the party. Name is Zoe. Your timing is impeccable, we are glad you could make it. "

Eos also managed to find his group and now that he rejoined Rin he looked around in silence, not wanting to ruin the atmosphere around them. He was quite excited to see what was going to happen with them in there... this was certainly a new approach he had no tested out in his long years of fighting. That is why it was exciting for him.

Seeing how Zoe greeted the newcomer the noble stag bowed his head graciously and did just that.

" It is an honor to meet you Maia, Ahmose. " he said, smiling warmly " I am Eos, it is truly a pleasure. "

Simon and Jimbo kept to themselves for the majority of the trip, Simon focusing on the file that Amber had provided and Jimbo providing the support to help Simon focus. To Jimbos amazement his support was minimal, Simon's attention was focused on the file and the information within. His attention was only broken when the group finally landed and reached the airport. The only words Jimbo could use to describe it were pure chaos. More people than Jimbo thought were physically possible of being squeezed inot a space where in the airport, and there did not seem to be an end to them. Finally after fighting tooth and nail the group finally made its way to the bus parked outside. After the chaos of the airport, the chaos of the traffic was not any better. People walking right out in front as if there wasn't a bus comming right at them. It to was a chaotic mess that Jimbo could do without. He wasn't super concerned, but it was rather annoying.

After they hit the hotel, loading and then reloading the bus, Simon made a quick head count as they pulled out and took a deep breathe. Standing at the front of the bus, Simon tried to grab everyones attentions for a second before he pulled out a small stack of red looking cards.

"Hey guys, before i forget, these are our tickets to get in. Its for one human and one compaignion. Take one and pass them around. Best we go in at our own pace so that we dont look suspicious going in together"

Simon took two off the top and began passing them around.

As they pulled up to the club the music was already making the glass of the buss vibrate a bit until they came to a stop. Simon lead the way out and looked around outside the club, it was a very happening place indeed. Surveying the outside he quickly noticed someone aproaching and recognized the agent mentioned in his folder. He smiled at her aproach and had to stop himself before calling the woman agent.

"Miss Asim, a pleasure. Simon Sinclair, yes we were told that you would be joining us this evening. I hope your travel went well."

He took the second ticket he had taken and handed it to Maia so she could get in.

Trying to act outside of his normal attitude was hard, and Simon could already tell this was going to be a long night.

After the exchange Simon motioned for the group to follow him and made his way to the man at the door. He reached into the inner flap of his cloths, which he had quickly learned did not have pockets, and flashed the man his pass. He nodded and pulled the red rope to the side to alow Simon and Fie in.

Jimbo exited the bus behind Manjano and looked over the streets in front of the club. Several passers-by by had already stopped and pointed, much like the people at the airport and the people at hotel. Jimbo couldn't help be think how Leandra and Manjano were able to do it.

Jimbo saddled up next to Manjano and sighed as he watched Simon head inside the club. Soon his attention was abstructed by another issue, the giant white leopard that looked like it was joining their group. Jimbo had gotten used to Laohu, even was starting to like the protection the big cat offered. But now there was another one, one Jimbo did not know. Great.

Jimbo stayed close to Manjano until he was ready to head inside and find their target.

Beth's hair was dyed to a shade of brown and pulled back into a complicated style she will never even try to replicate. She's wearing a red and white dress with red heels, and a dramatic rose gold eye look with bright red lipstick to match her dress.

Beth couldnt help but feel better with Falarion's bubbly personality next to her. He asked her a few questions, and she had to really think before answering either of them.

"Uh.. I had a fish once when I was little. One of those black ones with the bubble eyes. I named it Wilbur, like the pig in the story. But the closer I got to being 15, the more my parents made sure I avoided animals." She winced a little at the reminder of her companionless parents. She had meant to send them a postcard from headquarters, but training had been so busy, it was easy to say she had forgotten. And of course, Totus wasnt too keen on reminding her.

After another spoonful she shrugged. "Ive always liked hot chocolate well enough, but I like the taste of the mix even better. I honestly cant remember a time I didnt do this. I know its weird, but everyone has their vices."

Beth glanced at the others, who were making observations about their target, and decided to add her own opinion. "Rude or not, theres a reason she is the way she is, and we have to work with it, not against it. Getting her to talk about herself and why she is the best is probably our best chance." Beth fell silent after saying so, and settled in for the long flight.

The airport, needless to say, was not ever going to be her favorite place. There were more people there than trees in a forest, she was convinced. But, with Falarion next to her, she put her chin up and walked confidently through the crowds. For the most part, people stepped out of her way. But when someone didnt, she simply glanced at them with a raised eyebrow, not slowing at all. It was loud, crowded, and completely overstimulating. She wanted a mountain sunrise and she wanted it now. But her face didnt show it.

Long bus ride. Hotel to fix their disguises (and to strap her knife to her thigh under her dress). Another bus. The whole way, Beth kept her expression neutral when she wasnt grinning at Falarion's excitement. She didnt comment, just let his happy mood keep her calm as she watched the busy, busy city life outside the bus window.

The club was decorated even more elaborately than the city, not to her surprise. She had only been in a nightclub once, looking for a job, but she had left in a matter of minutes. This one was about 100 times more intimidating. She followed into the lobby, running her eyes over the area she could see before Falarion bounded up. She crouched to his level and said, "Falarion, you have to make sure you dont wander away from me, because I wont be able to call you back, and you could easily get completely lost in here. I know how exciting it is, but we gotta stick together, okay?" She smiled and rubbed his ears affectionately before standing and taking an invitation from the pile. When she reached the man, she flashed it and a brilliant smile as she passed.

Once inside, she took a deep breath and set her shoulders. Let the games begin..

It was a peaceful flight for Barry. Sleeping on the flight was most likely the reason. Not even the small bumps from turbulance or the intercom destrubed him in his slumber. Once the plane touched the ground and everybody was moving again did he wake. Walking out, he stayed close to the group. It wouldn't matter much since he was good at spotting things in rough terrain but it was more of a courtesy to them. Waiting for someone in a sea of people is nerve wracking as is, but to lose an agent right away to a crowd was worse. As they shuffled past people, he couldn't help but admire all the New Year decor. Red and yellow. Monkeys everywhere. Even fireworks could be heard outside already. He did make sure to keep an eye on BB just in case she would fly away. As it would be, she did in fact have a few quick jaunts here and there but with Xiao yelling out to her, it seemed like BB would be a good little birdie for now. She still would zip around a lot, but much closer than normal.

The ride to the hotel was a little bumpy and unpleasant but once he got to his room, it was refreshing. Doing a quick shower to freshen up after the flight. Going thorugh his things for the mission. He had a pocket knife, backup scarf, notebook, and.... a ball... [Oh, I guess I forgot to hand this over.] squeezing it real quick, it gave slightly. firm yet squishy wasn't bad. With a shrug, he put it in his pocket. [I'll find something to do with it before giving it back. ] He thought to himself with a smirk on his face. He headed back down to meet with everyone. Getting in a privet bus, it was much better driving to the location. Seeing the exterior was amazing. Even though this Jean-Marc guy was dealing with some bad crime operations, Barry couldn't help but appreciate his choice of style. Once they got to the front doors, Simon gave them tickets to get in. Nodding to Duik, he shuffled out of the bus and walked up. Holding the invite in two fingers, he held a bleak look. The type of look that said 'I'm suppose to be here, I've done this many times.' It was the same expression he had perfected while infiltrating underground crime syndicates. People would rarely stop him.

Once inside, he stopped a little past the door to wait up for the rest of his party to join. This was going to be a very interesting job indeed. Not having BB around to be his voice was a little unsettling. He had to prove he was just as good without her as he was with her. Otherwise, why would they even have him join and split them up?

Bael listened as Zoe told Totus to keep him safe. He had simply been far too flustered himself to say anything until then. "And you keep Cedar safe," he told her. "I do kinda like that bear, y'kno'."

Then Cedar appeared, looking very different. The previously-Cinnamon black bear bounced across to Zoe, all black except the vanilla-blond patches around his eyes, his muzzle and a curved shape on his chest. He looked incredibly excited about his new disguise. "They changed me into a different bear altogether!! I'm a spectacled bear now!" He said excitedly as they boarded.

Cedar did of course overhear Zoe when she spoke to herself — black bears had excellent hearing, and he looked at her carefully for a moment before he spoke. "He liked it better than what you usually wear," he said quietly with a wink. "I won't tell anyone."

On the ground, the bear was overwhelmed by the sights and sounds — and moreover, the smells. Wide-eyed, he looked around, pausing to stand up on his hind legs. "I've never seen a place like this," he exclaimed. "Where are all the trees? There aren't any trees! Oh man — and the smells! Do you smell that, Zoe? I think it's something alcoholic but I've never smelled it before. Okay. On task. Let's go find the guy with the stuff, yeah?" He flicked his ears, then followed the others in. He didn't say much once they entered the club. He didn't really care for the atmosphere.

Bael was no less overwhelmed. The noise outside on the street felt loud to him, and impulsively, he turned to Totus. "Are you alright, with all the noise?" He asked quietly. He knew the owl was used to cities most likely — but then no owl he had met ever chose to live there.

He was a little more comfirtable inside the club. Bael wasn't exactly certain how to handle this mission; after all, he wasn't terribly used to utilizing manipulation as a tactic. He followed Barry, looking around for this Jean-Marc or whatever his name was. Was that right? Bael didn't bother to check. He figured if he was going to convince this guy to trust him, starting out knowing his name wasn't a good route to go.

:P Oh, and this is his new hairstyle as well, plus the similar hair color that Leandra now shares.
Manjano saw Jimbo joining his side out of the corner of his eye and let out a small sigh before pulling out Jimbo's and his invitations, flashing them at the man, who then nodded and held back the curtain for both Manjano and Jimbo to enter the club.

Manjano hadn't given the new agent a second glance, as he wasn't overly keen about meeting someone new in the middle of their mission. He had more pressing matters to attend to and it sounded as if the others were greeting the woman for him anyways. He wasn't all too impressed by her speaking in Chinese either. His sister knew just enough to say a greeting like that and Manjano had heard her say it a thousand times while she was learning the basics of Mandarin. He'd heard his fair share of basic Chinese, thank you.

Flashing the invitations to allow himself and Jimbo to enter the club, Manjano then made his way past the curtain and almost immediately froze at the sight of so many people mingling about. First of all, this was incredibly uncomfortable. Second of all, how in the hell were they supposed to find their target amongst all of these people?

Leandra continued to feel uncomfortable, even after the new agent made her appearance and introduced herself, both in Chinese and English.

Feeling excited at the Chinese introduction, Leandra almost immediately replied with a grin, "Nìn hǎo, Maia! Wǒ jiào Leandra."

Feeling rather bubbly now, Leandra then said with a cheeky grin, "Yeah, that's about as far as my Mandarin speaking goes."

Hearing Zoe speaking nearby, Leandra turned around to see she'd joined their little team. Hearing that this would be the hardest part, Leandra laughed and then said, "Zoe, we're just talking to someone. There's not supposed to be any combat in this part of the mission. How is this even remotely considered the hardest part?"

As Zoe glanced around the team and her eyes paused on Leandra, she tilted her head to the side inquisitively before Zoe seemed to move on and not say anything after giving Leandra a noticeable look as well as giving her a thumbs up. What in the world was that all about?

Furrowing her brows in confusion after the brief interaction, Leandra then shook her head at Zoe's mention of having fun here.

Muttering under her breath so only Laohu could possibly hear her, Leandra then said, "I'm pretty sure most people coming here are only here for the bevvies or the stupid dancing...neither of which I want."

Whipping out her invitation as well as Laohu's, Leandra then flashed them to the man barring them entrance, only to have him now hold back the curtain so the pair could enter.

Giving Laohu a weary glance, Leandra then stepped into the club.

Falarion was still bouncing a bit at Beth's side when she knelt down to warn him about leaving her side, to which he responded, "Roger that, Beth! Well, if a monkey tries to steal anything from us, I may have to temporarily leave your side. Just sayin'."

While Beth went to work gaining entrance to the club, Falarion absentmindedly thought back to Beth's responses to his questions from before. She'd had a pet fish called Wilbur...named after some pig in a story, though Falarion had no idea what the story was even though Beth made it sound like he should know. Was it something most people knew? Falarion probably didn't know about it because Manjano hadn't always had too much access to common knowledge like others did. Not that he was lacking in common sense, but neither Manjano nor Falarion knew a lot about normal things that kids would learn in school or something.

With all of this in mind, Falarion completely missed Maia's introduction.

Barking excitedly at Beth when she gained entrance for the pair, Falarion then quickly moved to her side and followed her inside. Looking around at the people everywhere, Falarion almost let out a groan. How were they going to find their person in here?

Luness continued to remain at Ash's side ever since they got to China, having to get used to pretending he was her human companion, no matter how weird it felt to her.

When they got the club, Luness remained on Ash's shoulder since her flying around all the time would certainly raise some suspicions. For now, she was quiet and attentive, listening more than speaking.

Upon hearing Maia's introductions and taking in the sight of the new agent, Luness almost immediately felt as if she were a reliable person and could only wonder if she had some special information for the teams to use to their advantage. If not, Luness wondered what team Maia would be joining.

Glancing sideways at Ash, Luness then tilted her head at him and asked, "Dear, you didn't forget our invitations, did you?"

It was supposed to come across as light teasing, but Luness now wondered if Ash was one of the types to get defensive if teased in this manner. Well, she was going to find out soon enough.

Looking back now to see Maia, Luness smiled warmly at the new agent and said, "Welcome to the team, dear."

Hearing Beth speak up and saying that she was the least stunning of all of them, Xiao Hui frowned slightly, folding her arms at Beth's words. How could she say that? But, it did reassure her that her assumption was right and Beth really didn't like attention as well, much less, seemed comfortable wearing the outfit. She was a reasonable person, never one to make quick actions, and thought before she said or did anything. She reminded her of herself, at times, thinking before speaking or acting. At least, that's how it should go, since one wrong move, you're. . well . . out, as they say in baseball. However, she was glad to know that Falarion was by her side since he seemed to ease her up a little as she heard her laughing from time to time. She hoped that could last for a while. At the same time, it was the same with Zoe, she hoped she continued opening up more and trying to grow out of her comfort zone. Xiao Hui took this time to look at the room with ease, smiling softly at the others, seeing them interacting and getting along so well. Would things be the same after this mission? Or would it be different? For the first time in awhile, she worried, worried about losing more people in her life, especially. . all of them. However, her attention, for the time being, went towards Barry as she watched him write down his words. Blinking at how he communicates, Xiao Hui thought to herself, Could it be. . ? He can't speak? Tilting her head to look at the paper better, her smile grew as she giggled softly, hearing BB defend herself. Shaking her head, Xiao Hui decided to write down her reply, in cursive handwriting she wrote: "She's not a handful at all, quite an energetic one at most, but nothing that would be considered bad." She finished writing for Barry to see and soon at Barry's next question of why he needed to dress up if he didn't know who he was, she smiled and wrote, "Just for formalities sake and perhaps you'll look out of place if you're the only one not dressed in a disguise." Soon, Xiao Hui had left Barry and Duirk to look over their files and prepare for the mission as she saw Barry signing "thank you". Nodding in response, Xiao Hui didn't feel out of her element, in fact, it had been a while since she's signed to anyone. She had learn it since one of her contacts had been mute and the only way to communicate was through sign language without being in danger. Soon, hearing BB's words about flowers, cake, and confiding in someone, she gladly listened, nodding as each word was spoken. Tapping her chin, Xiao Hui laughed, "Any flower is fine? That's good, it'll be that much more helpful when something happens and it's good to have backup. Oh? Zoe promised you with cake? Well, that's another reason why we should definitely succeed in this mission, shouldn't we?" She smiled brightly, as Xiao Hui thought about BB's words on confiding in someone and the story she shared about Barry. Surprisingly, she was learning more about Barry without even speaking to him, or rather signing or writing to him, thanks to BB. "Laying out everything before you can show yourself something you didn't see before. Like a new perspective? If you confide in someone, it'll help rest and release your inner thoughts and confusions to the point that perhaps two head is better than one and the more possibilities with show if one's mind is clear. Is that what you mean, BB?" She asked curiously, hopefully she figured it out correctly, or rather guessed what BB meant in a clearer way for her to understand.

Soon, Xiao Hui's attention was back on the dossier as she heard BB's input. Smiling at BB, seeing that she was acting oblivious to her choice of wording, Xiao Hui shook her head only for her to agree with her next statements. She made a mental note to not stare too hard at BB seeing she felt uncomfortable under her gaze.
"Easy?" She said out-loud, "We do have our work cut-out for us, but the guys do have to play a bigger part. Perhaps I can do what you suggested, make him drink some, to help loosen him up a little." However, hearing BB whisper in her ears about the men in their group, she couldn't help but agree. Rin, Ash, Alec, all of them had their own qualities that made them desirable by woman. They were all charming, handsome, quite caring, and skilled. However, before Xiao Hui could supress the laughter, she ended up laughing at BB's statement and couldn't supress the grin, "I wonder who . . our lucky winner would be to be able to make Mr. Maximilian Long fall in love." She couldn't help but feel a little excited for the show that was about to be put on. Xiao Hui lived on acting considering it was her complete lifestyle, thanks to her Father. However, with them . . the agents. . she felt raw and vulnerable with them, it was scary . . and it made her more than afraid. . but nevertheless, she took the chance. Breaking her out of her thoughts, Xiao Hui jumped slightly hearing Alec's voice as he corrected her on the difference between philosopher and philanderer. Smiling sheeplishly, she felt a little embarassed for messing something like that up, she couldn't help but get some things mixed up since well . . English wasn't her native tongue. "O-oh, thank you, Alec. I'll remember that next time before I slip up again." She laughed nervously until she looked over at Ash. "Ash knows all about being a philanderer? Really?" Xiao Hui blinked, not used to saying that word as it didn't feel comfortable rolling off the tip of her tongue. But, she was glad for Alec's mini lesson in literature and even more so, to know that Ash is an expert would help her understand better. However soon, her ears heard Alec's voice once more as he reassured her with confidence that they'll be able to pull it off. Seeing him suavely half-bow before her, this took her for a little surprise. She wondered what made Alec's change in behavior towards her came from. One minute he was warm and comforting, next minute he was sharp and cold. It reminded her of the song. . what was it. . ? It was a song she had heard on her way to the States. . but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. It was truly a catchy song to her ears. 'Cause you're hot then you're cold, you're yes then you're no, she sung softly to herself before gently curtsying in response to Alec's bow as she smiled politely at him. Soon, she boarded the aircraft with her teammates as she looked over towards BB next to her, "Ready, little one?"

Alec had expected the new agents, and it seemed the trend in their group now that Maia rocked her outfit as well. The elegant leopard by her side commanded respect, as did her own posture and tone. Alec had no doubt they were meeting a seasoned pro.

He listened to Leandra return Maia's greeting in perfect Chinese and felt rather envious. Chinese was not a language learnt easily.

"Gong ye fat choy." Alec attempted the traditional New Year greeting, knowing full well he was butchering it. He shot an apologetic look at Xiao before continuing his introduction to the new agents. "Name's Alec, its a pleasure Maia, Ahmose." Not wanting to blow their cover and introduce his real partner he gestured to the viper coiled about his neck. "This is Haku."

He did not have to wait long for the others to begin falling into their groups. Xiao was getting along splendidly with the little hummingbird. It would be near impossible for anyone to discover they weren't bonded partners if they kept that up. And for what it was worth, Xiao at least was looking forward to their task. Alec took a deep breath.

"Good luck gang." He nodded at the other groups. "Remember, we've all got communicators (They had been placed with their luggage back in the hotel), if anything goes wrong. Radio us. We'll improvise. Right Simon?" He nodded at the big man.

That was just about when Xiao dropped her 'quadsome' comment and Alec nearly choked. The air of confidence he had been cultivating so carefully on the long bus ride dissolved in an instant and he was left to recompose himself with a bit of a pink face. Of course she had been kidding, but the mere thought was enough to unbalance him.

"I suppose we should get to work. Our target was going to be in the casino was he? We should head there."

He gave Simon a last 'good luck' nod before starting to lead his group to their place in the club.

Be safe D. He thought to the hyena, and managed to catch the animal's eye, though he couldn't be absolutely sure through the massive pair of red shutter shades Duik wore. He got a reply in no time.

Go have fun Al. Barry, me an the others have got this.

The casino floor was thankfully not as busy as the lobby had been, but there were still people at every card table. Alec had taken the dossier photo and now glanced at it as he made a show of taking a wad of cash from his inside jacket pocket. Courtesy of the Watch, enough money for chips to make the front look believable.

He collected the chips from the front desk and turned just in time to see their target saunter to the roulette wheel. Alec's blood turned to ice.

"Oookay, are you guys ready? I'm totally ready." He wondered if they could tell he was lying.

Miss Westleton was bored. She was bored with the show that was being performed live on stage before the DJ took it for the evening. She was bored with the food, and drink and the paid company she kept. She swirled her gin and tonic with an irritated frown, waiting for something interesting to happen. The lounge around her was buzzing with activity, but it all seemed to dull to her now. She wished she could bump up her meetings with these near feral Rogue beasts and be done with her business in Beijing.

Backstage, Jean-Marc appeared to be angrily glaring at a wall, when, in fact, he was glaring at what he was seeing through his glasses.

"What do you mean, 'the shipment is going to be an hour late'? I don't know if you know who I am, but there will be hell to pay if my shipment is actually an hour late. Or even a minute late. Do I make myself clear?"

While the man's tone was quiet and calm, anyone remotely close to him felt a chill go down their spines. This was a man nobody wanted to get on the wrong side of.

Abruptly raising one of his hands to tap some button that was impossible to see on the side of his glasses, the man then turned around so he was no longer facing the wall.

To top off all of the intimidating factors, the man had a large gash going straight across his face, from cheek to cheek and over the top of his nose. One could only imagine how he'd gotten it, but just about nobody actually wanted to know. His eyes were dark and looked as if they were pitch black, some eye color contacts that the man loved to wear about. He loved to give people a look that sent chills down their spines and then made them feel as if he were looking at their very soul.

Letting out a frustrated sigh, which sent a few workers nearby scrambling out of the area in case some of that frustration was taken out on them, Jean-Marc then pulled out a flask and sipped from it while mindlessly flicking his eyes back and forth so he could navigate the many cameras placed throughout the locations he was in charge of. To anyone else, he'd look mildly crazy, as his eyes seemingly just flicked back and forth behind his glasses.

Maia Aism

@DawnAntalios

"Impeccable timing's my middle name," Maia said to Zoe, as she returned the other agent's bow. "And the party's something, isn't it? No one does New Years like China."

"Eos is it? Brilliant." She returned the stag's head bow with a dip of her own.

"I don't see a great many stags," the snow leopard remarked.

"Well, not the animal kind anyway."

"You don't either, if memory serves," Ahmose remarked. "Or hens for that matter..."

Maia's only response is to bend down and punch the snow leopard in the shoulder, leading the great cat to chuff in amusement.

@zCrookedz

The British Egyptian woman returned Simon's greeting with a handshake if he was so inclined. "Right. Mr. Sinclair, yes of course. So happy to see you on the job again. After Singapore I mean. But past's the past, I suppose. Glad to have some experience on this, that's all."

When she noticed the great ape, Maia offered a friendly little wave. Ahmose's nostrils widened as she inhaled sharply. "I'm quite tame," the cat offered, sitting down at Maia's side until the party of agents headed inside. Nonetheless, there was a look of amusement in the snow leopard's tone and posture.

@Lioness075

"There, that's the spirit!" Maia said, visibly beaming at Leandra's enthusiastic greeting. "That's how it's done, how you learn. By doing! Well, studying doesn't hurt. I took one of my A levels in Mandarin actually but you only get real fluency by diving in."

Maia slipped an arm around Leandra's shoulders in a sideways hug while she gestured to the crowd packed into the casino. "Sure, there's a job to do but nothing stops you from picking up a little language while you're here with mates, am I right? Too bad we're not on the same team or I'd show you about!"

At Luness' greeting, the Egyptian English agent blinked and stared for a second before giving a half-startled laugh. "Blimey, a real live phoenix. Amazing! That's amazing! I mean, I'd heard there were a few about but first I've actually laid eyes on. You're beautiful, you are."

"Do you two need a room?" the snow leopard said, chuckling at her partner's delight.

"More like a sauna maybe."

"Oh I see. You just want me for cold weather, her for warm, is that it?"

"It's not you, it's me, babe, you know I've a big heart." And Maia affectionately pinched Ahmose's cheek, leading the snow leopard to take a playful snap at the agent's fingers.

@crucialstar

The snow leopard glanced up from Maia's side at Laohu's greeting and regarded the white tiger with evident interest. "Laohu, it's a pleasure to meet you. Your bond mate there seems to have made quite an impression with mine." There was something uniquely feline about the pleasurable purr in the snow leopard's tone. "But then, Maia's rather excitable. Needs someone more down to earth to balance her out. It's good for our humans to have a counterpoint, wouldn't you agree?"

Meanwhile Xiao Hui's greeting receives an equally polite wave and smile. Maybe more warm and friendly than strictly polite. "Xiao Hui, BB, charmed. Always a pleasure to make a friend. I think we're here for Mr. Long, am I right? Best we lot get inside before all eyes are on us, yeah?"

@SilverFlight

Alec's greeting brought another grin to Maia's face, showing a complexion that was clearly used to smiling a lot. "Like I was saying to this gorgeous bird, you learn best by doing, by diving in. Not bad at all, my friend. Nice to meet you and your-er, Haku was it?" She tried a little wave but it was plain she didn't really know how to deal with a snake.

When Alec mentioned communications and heading into the casino, Maia nods. "The bloke's inside, yeah. Well, Mr. Long is anyway. Who's taking point with him anyway? Do you lot have a plan already and, if so, do you have a spot in mind for me? Or should I help us come up with one? Fill me in on what you have so we can get this done."

Raven Hyde/Kitsune

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_03/57a8c8c451c30_longcoat_50.jpg.a365438d04847b70a8e3e651adb6389d.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="114826" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2016_03/57a8c8c451c30_longcoat_50.jpg.a365438d04847b70a8e3e651adb6389d.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Raven wrinkled her nose and her eyes narrowed at the scene in the lobby. It was full of revelers passing in and out to their varied celebratory destinations and the uniformed staff seemed overwhelmed although they hid their mildly panicked state behind overly dramatic smiles and customary bows to the patrons. The air was thick with the smell of too many bodies converged in one place and the sulfurous residue of fireworks which had managed to infiltrate the ventilation system.

The chaos before her put her on edge. Kitsune rubbed along her calf in reassurance as he sensed his companion's unease. Raven was ex-military and used to order, not the cacophony of sights and sounds that currently drummed her senses. Raven's lips thinned. She subconsciously fell back on her years of training as she forced herself to focus on the mission.

Added to her discomfort was the costume that she had adopted at the very last minute. Without much time to plan, Raven pieced together a fashionable set of black leather pants, boots and long coat with a simple dark cotton shirt. Her pistols were concealed under the leather trench coat where they rested in both a shoulder holster and a belt holster at her back. Spare magazines waited inside pockets within the coat, hidden expertly by Nigel's craft. While the ensemble wasn't haute couture, it was at least more appropriate than her typical, drab (but in her opinion, more functional!) clothes. Kitsune tried to lighten the mood by telling her how dashing she appeared, but Raven dismissed his attempted compliment with a snort. Truth be told, she hated this get-up as it personified her name with its all black combination. Had she had more time to plan before being sent overseas, Raven was certain that she could have come up with something more akin to the rest of the group, but time hadn't been on her side.

When Duik admonished the nearby attendants, Raven merely crossed her arms and struck a defiant pose. If the hyena was going to bluff their way in then Raven wanted to make the impression appear legitimate.

Her eyes constantly scanned across the crowd as they were escorted to the backstage area. If the scene outside in the lobby had been any precursor to the pandemonium behind the stage, it didn't show as the bespectacled man exuded control of the situation.

Raven immediately brought her guard up. She wasn't completely clear on the entire mission, so she left the details to the others in her group and took a stance just to the edge of their small party where she might better observe the events that orbited around them.

A slight smirk crossed her otherwise pressed lips when the man nipped from his flask. He isn't as much in control here as he would want us to believe, Raven thought. She crossed her arms again and her hand brushed against the pistol concealed in the holster under her coat which gave her some small comfort.

Ash listened to the phoenix that flew by his side as they walked on to the hanger. "My home and family? Let's see I was born in downtown Atlanta, and I have a mother, as well as twin brothers who are both ten years younger than me, and each bonded with an animal already." He said with a grin. He opened his mouth to offer to show the bird a 'few' pictures but luckily she was saved from that experience when Ash heard a comment from Xaio. Blinking a bit he moved on hand up and fumbled with his hair a bit. "Yeah, white is nice and all but purple is my style. So the moment this is over with I'm going to be changing back to me." He said as his eye went to the mission dossier in his hand.

As he read the mission a small smirk went on his lips. "A seduction mission~ Nice~" He hummed before he looked over at Alec who didn't seem as pleased as he was with the mission choice. He had to suppress a small laugh when Xaio confused the words that were on the dossier. He would have corrected her had Alec not already done so. Though he had to raise a brow when the man pointed at him saying he could explain it better. Something with that tone, didn't sound like he wanted Ash to give Xaio a better definition rather...it was like he was an example of the word. Instead of commenting on this he just walked to the hanger in silence.

He was actually shockingly quiet for most of the ride......well...no no he wasn't. The moment he got on the plane he started to flirt with one of the flight attendants and didn't stop till he had to sit down since everyone else had taken their seats. On the flight he whispered the women sweet nothings and she seemed to enjoy all the flirtatious remarks he gave her. Honestly if given the change he totally would have taken her to the back of the plane...but that would be 'inappropriate' so keeping his manners he spent the ride just talking to the lady when he had a chance.

Upon arrival Ash was thoroughly impressed by the sheer amount of people in the airport. When Luness rested on his shoulder he gave her an approving nod as he truly didn't mind after all his shoulder was the main way Fie ever got around since the monkey was too lazy to walk on his own. Speaking of monkey the little guy had been completely quiet from the moment he got on Simon's shoulder to now. You see when he had a sugar crash on top of having a pouting moment...well this stuff hit him pretty hard. However that changed when he started to see all the banners with monkeys on it. At first it confused him so he didn't say anything, he did however stop laying his stomach on Simon's and now sat up...still sitting on Simon's head of course.

Boy did his eyes widen when he learned it was the year of the monkey. "...Woooooow S-So that means... For an entire year I rule!?" He asked his eyes sparkling at the idea of having supreme rule over all these peasants! How did the idea he was an ruler because of the year get into his head? Well...the banners and decoration of course! People would only do this for an emperor or some one super important! So obviously that means he had a get out of jail free card for the rest of the year! At least...in his mind he did. "Kehehehehe! I like this idea! You are all my loyal subjects! My first decree... No more taking away my candy! Anyone that does so...shall be pranked to insanity! Kehehee." If anyone tempted to tell him this in fact wasn't true...he completely and utterly ignored it making Ash sigh at his partner.

On the way to the club Ash stayed quiet though he did almost get split up from the group....three, wait four times as a few people had caught his eye. Of course thanks to a certain someone he was reminded of his job and any attempts to flirt or get to know the locals was instantly dealt with before he could do anything really...much to his disappointment. When they arrived at the club he looked at Luness with a smile as he shook his head. "Not this time~ I admit it was a close call, had I not forgotten my jacket I think we would have been stranded out here." He said with a light hearted chuckle. Fie on the other hand looked offended when the person asked for the invitations. "H-How can you not know who I am!? It's the year of the monkey! I shouldn't need an invitation! This is the year of my rule... Y-You jerk!" Fie exclaimed before sticking out his tongue as Simon produced the invitation.

Another sigh left Ash as he entered. 'He's so going to get us in trouble.' He thought as he followed Alec. When the target got in sight Alex smirked and he looked over in another direction as if he were interested in whatever was going on there. Hearing Alec he smiled, he could hear the nervousness in his voice as hidden as it was. "Just stay calm and confident. Remember if all else fails just get him drunk of his knocker and we are good to go~" He said softly as he started to walk forward at a casual pace as he looked around. "This place is pretty nice. I really hope I don't have to speak Chinese for this..."

Fie on the other hand entered pout mode again feeling insulted at the ignorance of the bouncer.

Simon:

Simon chuckled to himself as the man allowed them to enter and Fie became insulted by the bouncer. The little guy was taking this year of the monkey thing to heart and it was quite enjoyable to see him so excited about the festivities. As he entered Simon clanced around the club rather intrigued by the sound of the music and the people that were already here. Not being a huge fan of the music Simon began to scan the crowds for familair faces.

Soon he heard Alec's voice and looked to him momentarily before returning to looking at the club. He didn't want to give away any relationships in case anyone was watching, but he did acknowledge Alec's words along with his own good luck nod.

"Any trouble, just say the word. We will find you."

Simon took a deep breath and began making his way into the club. Being a giant amongst the Chinese local, he stood out a great deal even without the golden dragon attached to his shoulder. He tried to ignore the gaping onlookers as he shoved his way past and began to think back to dossiers information on where Mrs. Westleton might be. Seeing a room just off the dance floor, Simon began to make his way towards the room keeping an eye out for any of the others that might be with him.

As he got closer and tried to look his best as a spectator of the festivities, he caught the gleam of something out of the corner of his eye inside the room. Sure enough, the sparkling gem of a huge ring caught his eye and the woman attached to it was simply sitting stirring some sort of drink. Simon looked away at the dance floor and tried to think of something. He rubbed at his beard for a moment and looked to the other side of the door. There was a waiter coming with a platter full of drinks. Simon got an idea, one he was sure was going to be very bad for him when he got back to Claude at HQ.

"Ok Fie, quick thinking. Time to act mean."

Simon had to time this perfectly, as the man passed by the opening to the door, Simon made his move. Turning into the man's pathway, the man had nowhere to go but right into Simon and Fie. Drinks hit Simon, hit the man, and then finally hit the floor. The man began to apologize in both broken English and panicked Chinese as Simon began to glare at the man. Mad was not something Simon did typically. But combine a figure like Simon's with the look of teeth grinding anger, and you might want to stare down a feral grizzly instead. Simon reached for the man's collar and he began to panic even more as Simon lifted him from the ground with one hand. Glaring at him, Simon hoped this was going to spark some interest as he looked to Fie.

"Fie, this man got drinks all over my nice new suit. Care to explain to him what happens when people mess up my nice. CLEAN! SUITS!"

Maximillian Long:

Long had been making his way around the casino since he arrived. The club was too noisy, and the bar was too packed to get close. Besides, he had money in his pocket and he was itching to play. As he made his way through the tables and table of different games, people separated to allow him to pass. He himself was not the person they were attempting to avoid, but the 5 ft crocodile that slowly made its way before him.

Long sipped on the small glass in his hand as he waded past the tables glancing at different games. BlackJack, Craps, Baccarat; Long had been jumping from table to table most of the evening playing with money he had more than his fair share of.

Thought it wasn't the money he was particularly interested in. Whenever a new face appeared at the table, one that Long found absolutely intoxicating, he liked to stay within reaching distance should they begin to go downhill and need a shoulder or perhaps another drink.

This time, he was following a particularly radiant set of baby blue eyes, with blond hair and beard and the mosy amazing jaw line he had ever seen. The man found a seat at the roulette table, and Long made a sharp whistling noise towards the alligator signaling him that this was the table they were playing at. Long found himself a seat and began reaching into his jacket pocket fishing out stacks of chips and placing them on the table. The Croc made the best u-turn he could before settling down behind Longs chair.

Long glanced up at the young man he had been following and smiled as he spoke to himself. "Ach pós na káno apolamvánoun xanthiés . Eh , Surgeo" {Oh how I do enjoy blondes. Eh Surgeo?}

The crocodile made no movement at the sound of the name, but where anyone paying close enough attention, a small flicker of movement could be seen from the inside of Longs formal jacket.

The game supervisor nodded to the men joining and Long slid a few chips forward.
"22 black"

@MAXIMILLAN LONG TEAM!!!
