Willow looked up at the man's face, then down at the puddle, then back at the him, and laughed. "Too carried away? Hardly, just having some fun. Do me a favor and turn up the stereo, would you?"

She slipped out of the man's grasp on her shoulders and slid across the tile floor, grabbing the counter across the way to steady herself. She grabbed a dishtowel from one of the drawers and lowered back down to the wet floor on her knees. Humming along to the tune of an unknown song, Willow began to wipe her mess up. She glanced at her wrist for the time, but was reminded by her bare arm that she took it off while doing the dishes. "Is it late? You can head off already, Mister. I'll be fine on my own."

"Well, then. I'm glad," Wesley grinned. He offered one arm towards the girl, bowing slightly. "Let's be on our way, shall we, Ms. Fannel?" He was glad she accepted his invitation. For a brief moment, he wondered about her wording. It was strange, unlike anything he'd heard before. He really did want to ask where exactly was her home, but felt he shouldn't pry.

There was a little shop down the way that his mother got all her dresses made and fitted at, but the seamstress always served tea for her customers. They were supposed to pick up Mother's latest dress and have Abby fitted once more (last time she had squirmed so much all of the measurements were messed up), so heading their to continue their conversation should be just fine.

Kieran nodded and walked out for a moment. He turned the stereo up just a little bit, just enough for it to be a little louder but not too loud, and went back into the kitchen.

"It's about..." He turned his head and looked out at the clock. "Nine thirty." Glancing back, he crossed his arms and seemed a little amused. "Go home? Nah, I won't. Nothing to do there." He shrugged and looked around. "I can help you out here if you want." Taking off his jacket, he walked out into the main room and draped it on the back of his chair before making his way back into the kitchen.

Florence looked at him curious and nodded, slipping her arm through his. She gave a soft smile and started to follow him. This was going to be an interesting trip and she knew it. She was looking forward to the rest of it and just hoped that her dear friend wouldn't harp at her. Humming thoughtfully, her eyes drifted around at everything and she took it all in. It was a lot different here than back at home but it still had that home-y feeling to it and so she felt relaxed and safe, basically feeling no different.

Willow sighed, sitting back on her heels. She wiped her hair away from her face with her forearm and looked up at him with a smirk.

"You must have a pretty boring life if you wanna stay here and help me clean up." She threw him another dishtowel and set back to work. "I never caught your name, you know..."

-----

"So... Why did you come here, of all places?" The boy inquired, tilting his head slightly to look at the shorter girl. If he couldn't ask about her background, then asking about her experiences in the present and plans for the future would be fine, right? He sure hoped so.

He led her down the avenue and into the little shop. Abby was already inside, a sample dress on and the seamstress taking measurements and such. He nodded at the lady, who pointed towards a little table near the window where tea was already set out and then returned to her work. Wesley's little sister was rattling on to the poor woman about how much she dreaded mother's next party, blah, blah, blah.

Kieran smirked in amusement and caught the towel. He started to help her clean and chuckled lightly.

"My life was boring from birth." He rolled his eyes and turned his back to Willow. "Kieran is my name, dear." He informed and moved about the kitchen as he continued help her. "And yours?"

--

Florence looked thoughtful and shrugged lightly with an embarrassed laugh.

"Felt like home to me." She said with an embarrassed grin and looked around. "And I heard a lot about this place." She informed and glanced around, trying to avoid his eyes. Knowing that she was partly lying, she glanced towards Abby as she heard the little girl babbling and smiled lightly in amusement.
