This is two days after the both of you completed your negotiations with Feren. It took Ryan and Quill a day to meet with Lyla, and another day for them all to get back.

Does Elemental Summoning still eat up half a day per shot? I can easily see her killing time by calling up Mercury Ants for the mining she expects they can help with. Or maybe a couple of Blood Apes for some demonic muscle, for the inevitable confrontation with the mine spirit.

Demon of the First Circle takes from sundown to midnight to perform. Summon Elemental only takes four hours. So you could summon up to two Blood Apes or twelve Mercury Ants (assuming Catseye spends all of the next 48 hours doing summoning rituals).

Let's just go with back in the camp. If Catseye is summoning things, Ysandre would be interested in observing that. At least the first time, I don't think it will make for great rewatching

I'm not sure what Ysandre could really do in the intervening days, maybe just get to know the soldiers and win them over.

As you wish. You'll need to make Intelligence + Occult rolls for all four of them, in order to bind them. If any of the rolls for the Blood Apes fail, I'll just assume that they were successfully banished back into Malfeas, rather than ask you to make banishment rolls.

Red Shadow Claws , I apologize for not getting back to you earlier about your use of Wake the Sleeper. Looking at the handbook, it says that you need to have Essence 3 to purchase and use that Charm. And Essence 2 for Bottomless Wellspring Approach, Lore-Inducing Concentration and Truth-Rendering Gaze. According to his character sheet, Quill only has Essence 1.

Edit: Ugh, just read the bit about the Supernal ability. My bad.

*ahem* Looking at Sun's Brush in Arms of the Chosen, I see that Battle-Scholar Sagacity isn't a prerequisite for any of the weapon's other "official" Evocations. That in mind, I'd be willing to let you unlock Radiant Brushstrokes Flourish, Incomparable Savant Surity and Whirling Sunfire Calligraphy. And seeing as you'd have four more successes left after unlocking those Evocations, would you perhaps like to create some custom ones? I'm feeling a bit more confident with this game system now.

I will go over the Evocations, and consider extra new ones.

On their way back to camp, Quill would excitedly tell him about how he managed to form a deeper bond with his Artifact. And how, if Ryan is interested, he will see if he can do the same for him.

I'm good with that, I'm just gonna have to write custom E1 evocations since there's really only one. (Not counting the one that unlocks for free while mounted)

Speaking of... I've still been considering a mount for Ryan. I'm torn between a God-Blooded dog and a Clawstrider.

Zelator cleaves dark magic with contemptuous ease. When supplementing a baneful attack, this Evocation adds one automatic success on the attack roll, and ignores four points of soak on withering attacks and four points of Hardness on decisive attacks.

Resonant: Waive this Evocation’s Willpower cost when used with an impaling attack (Exalted, p. 203). The wielder can substitute 1 point of initiative instead of willpower to pay the cost of this charm.

Note: Replacement of Spell-Piercing Strike. Impaling attacks can only be done with lances as a special maneuver.

Zelator dons a coat of sun-fire, burning all that feel its bite. When an opponent is crashed from a baneful attack enhanced by Spell-Rending Slash, the wielder may use One Weapon Two Blows to strike again and pay only 1 mote to apply Spell-Rending Slash to the additional attack.

Resonant: When an opponent is slain by this attack, the wielder regains one temporary willpower and the corpse ignites in a bonfire, gradually burning into ash.

Note: Usually One Weapon Two Blows only is usable when taking an opponent from advantageous to disadvantageous initiative. This adds utility for baneful attacks only while making the combo of pre-reqs just a tad cheaper. Net cost for the second attack is 4 motes.

Seems like it didn't work. Spent 5 extra motes on Excellency. And only got 5 suxxes. So, unless it is a 3 dot Artifact, it doesn't work.

I was kinda waiting for Epiphany to work out what's happened in the mean time before replying, but I can jump back in if we can pass that by.
