it would be super extra but also very cool to have a second map color-coded not only by big lords but smaller lords. So like by lordship. but also somehow signify their fealty, maybe by little arrows or dotter lines. like an extra "map mode."

Probably take forever though

ah OK thought it could be something to do with the strained loyalties around there

I just noticed those ruins called Gwyndet Castle right north of fynbroke. you should check those out myx (the ruins definetly arent cursed and they won't bring a plague upon your people)

If I said that Phillipe and his family have never once payed such a tax would he be in violation of the law or does Rooster Keep not count because it predates the law?
it probably predates it

bet u would just get it for free on the border
That's doubly non-applicable then and still takes away the fun of tax evasion. Ah well, I bet he doesn't ever pay livestock tax or the Salt Tax so Phillipe is still a proper Robber Baron.

I'm trying to find that thread that you made that shows what different "units" have as gear. It seems to have gotten lost or buried, but I can't find it anymore. Would be able to give you an answer once I find that thread.

All right, depending on the distance from where the bait was set and the woods, I'm thinking either they can set up in the woods to skirmish and whittle down the dispersed enemy/make it difficult to reform/regroup in time to receive the charge. Then once the charge is met, they would also move up on horseback to continue to harass and pick off easy/isolated targets.

If the trees are actually rather distant and makes archery ineffective from that distance, then yes they will join the charge, but more towards the rear/flanks where they can continue to fire if possible to help break up the enemy lines/attempt to form up and focus on harassing from a short distance on horseback.
