probably because in the recesses of my mind i got it out of sodden hill while forgetting it was already a witcher thingwhy is there a sod hill
Well yeah, you do have to offer protection in a general sense but their vows don't typically include protection in a specific sense. This is actually why the scuffle between Lord Bradorian and Darndon is such a big deal. If they were regular serfs who got attacked you'd be obligated to provide justice if the ones who assaulted them were of equal rank, though you'd only have to provide "assurances" against attacks by social superiors. But for Knightly vassals you actually do have pretty specific legal obligations to avenge their persons. (As far as I understand)
I was having difficulties getting a response together, but expect one within a couple hours.probably because in the recesses of my mind i got it out of sodden hill while forgetting it was already a witcher thing
however they are both just "word-word" placenames so who cares
as for why it got a name, probably just a particularly large abandoned motte with no trace of its original castle
yeah there are probably random clerics in every reasonably large army anyway (they are more of a morale thing since they provide religious services to the camp followers and men)Lorsh , dafuq is a holy cleric doing as a unit. Are they fighters or special in some way, or just bible thumpers and healers?
Well, it hasn't been really discussed IC wise. However, what I had in mind was that way back when in the high medieval ages and late medieval ages... children who were unruly or perhap born with some sort of disorder such as aspergers, autism, etc, were sent to the church with generous donations. That way, a noble family could 1. Save face and 2. Have the church take care of the person instead of draining resources at home.Heyitsjiwon I need to know, what was the *unusual* behavior that got your sister sent to a Nunnery?

Interestingly enough, I heard from a professor a while back that there was a semi- popular belief in what is now central germany that those born with certain mental conditions were said to have been "touched by god" and that the human mind/body is unable to handle such grace/majesty of god. Thus, leaving people mentally not quite there. Hence, a lot of folks with mental disabilities were sent to the church to become married to god as they were seen to already be close to god so to speak.
Another interesting angle is also the fact that those who are mentally challenged are arguably already under grace because they do not know of sin nor the fact that they are is a state of sin. Its a very, very deep/complex issue that did happen in the past in a certain region/time period but really it is a nod to how often young noble women who were "trouble makers" were often sent to become a nun.
Lol truth.bro you been tryna push this marriage angle for weeks now just to wait to actually do it IC and get rejected ☠
