You’re way too sweet, I’m really blushing a little over here, ha. I’m just glad you like him so much. And yes, I did imagine Rory writing those sections. Actually, I pictured a little scenario where he read some mean comments or articles about Xander online so he wrote some counter articles where he said all the nice things he loves about his brother.

Also, I know I said I wasn’t good at playing those kinds characters, but over the weekend I decided I really do want to try making a funny guy type. Would that be okay with you? I’m working on my pretty girl still but I kind of thought, why not try out a new type of character? This seems like a good time. Since I feel comfortable with you, I think I won’t be self-conscious, wondering if I’m doing poorly at writing the character, ha.

Of course to your new character! You're my friend, so I'd let you play a chicken in a hoodie if you asked me. I'm really happy you're comfortable writing with me and feel like you can try out new characters, so of course you can. And, I know it'll be great because my evidence here says that you can always pull off a character when you go for it!

I also made a few deck list ideas so I'll send them to you and you can tell me if you like them or not

Lily.... I'll make sure I impress you with this new boy then! He will be funny and lovable and a bumbling duelist for the squad to guide to glory.

I think I'm all set on the other fronts, if only I could settle on a name for my girl. Ugh, names always get me the worst. I'll try to pick something before the week goes on for too long. I'm really excited for this, so do you want to maybe go ahead and write our introduction posts? I mean, Karina solving the puzzle and Xander's arrival in Domino and just the exposition stuff since we only need those two for that. And then we can really get into once I finished my girl and my new meme boy.

Names really are the hardest part I think, it's gotten to the point where I don't even start on a character's notes until I've picked out a name that I think suits them based on what I casually imagined up so far.

But I would be totally fine with getting started on our story! I have a lil bit of skeleton for the intro scene already but I'll get right to work on setting things up! By the way, do you still want to have Xander and Karina meet for the first time at the dueling club? If it's just going to be the two of them still, we'll need a good reason for why all he other members don't show up that day. Maybe it could be something like a special sale or a thing, but not something like a big match because then Karina would skip too, hehe!

Aha! An opportunity! This is ridiculous, but hear me out, okay? xD What if a local restaurant is having a special all-you-can-eat deal or something like that and my meme boy really wants to go and is super hyped about it! So my pretty girl is like, "fine, I'll escort you, *eyeroll*" and they invite Karina too of course, but she says that she needs to go to the meeting since she's the president, just in case new people show up, and then oh-ho-ho, a new person does show up.

As for all the other NPC members, maybe they're also excited about the food special? Or there's going to be some kind of celebrity thing so they decide to go to that? They're just NPCs, how serious is it really haha!

That's so fun! I'm just imagining this adorkable friend-shaped boy being so excited to go eat, like, three for one burgers at his favorite local place or something, that's really great! You could commit full-on to the 'always hungry' trope from this too, if you really wanted. And we'll just say the NPC members went too because it's easier, haha. Maybe so many people even showed up to the deal that your boy almost doesn't get his food or they have to wait for a suuuuper long time.

You're a literal goddess, I love the intro post so much. The details are amazing, I could picture everything super clearly.

I'm hyped up to make my own post now too, but I also want to finish up with my characters. Hopefully I can get through all of that by the end of the weekend? I also decided to the Planet Agent cards for my babe because I just want to play with astrology aesthetics haha! So if you have any extra ideas for supporting her deck, let me know!

Just finished reading it, I love how you show that Xander's mind is always in motion! It made the seen really interesting to follow his thought processes!

I'm glad you liked the index! I'm still kind of feeling it out and I'm hoping to expand it a lot more.

By the way, I was thinking for the official opening scene, maybe it could be in the middle of Karina playing a match with your boy? Kind of like practice thingy/helping him improve his strategies? It would be kind of the tail end of it, maybe it's right before or after a class so we could move the scene along, but I thought that might be cute and a way for them all to break into conversation/set the tone for the story. What do you think?

I like that idea for starting, it would also give us a chance to highlight that’s he’s really a beginner of the game and is still learning. They could be wrapping up the match and Karina defeats him, and then perhaps that’s when he starts talking about the special burger deal.
