Fantasy Celestial Academy of the Gifted

"Kai," he said simply, beginning his walk with Mikahil out of the hall and to the dorms, "And we are going to my dorm to sober you up." Kai didn't care that basically anything that happened to Mikahil right now would be his fault. He just wanted to be of some use to someone. He was just a Keanoca with family issues. There wasn't much going for him right now so maybe helping Mikahil could help improve that.

Mikahil followed beside Kai, "Well...alright..." His words were slurred since he didn't care how he sounded anymore. "Good to...meet you, Kai." His facial expression was blank and he didn't have any thought of how he appeared or sounded. He just wanted to stop being upset.

MoxxyMoxx MoxxyMoxx (sorry for being short with it.)

"Nice to meet you too, buddy," he said. "Now we need to get you some water and bread, one of those I don't have. We should probably break into the kitchen. You up for that," he asked. If he wasn't up for it then Kai could easily just do it himself but he didn't want to leave Mikahil alone. Who knows what he'd get up to? They'd just met so that was pretty unknown. He guessed he'd just have to get to know him then.
(It's fine ^_^)

Fjord's opponent was more than ready to begin fighting, and that's just what he did. 'Time to find out what your powers just so happen to be.' The dwarf concentrated. The opponent readied his spear, but Fjord did not move. His attempt to psyche out his opponent appeared to work as he began to look slightly panicked. "Perfect." Fjord muttered.

Or not, as the young combatant suddenly unleashed a loud shriek; deafening enough to make Fjord realize that this must be one of his opponent's powers. 'Oh my. Did not expect that.' He thought, stumbling a bit. 'Hey, this is just like that time last year when I drank a whole keg of rum! Ah, the good ole days, but at least I'm sober this time.' Fjord's body was somewhat used to these feelings of imbalance and disorientation. "Hmm, that shriek was more powerful than I would have preferred." The dwarf noticed, feeling his limbs drag their movements a tad. The opponent delivered a kick straight toward Fjord; at his smaller stature, this kick was coming right toward his face. 'A little obscure strategy, but it worked!' Fjord dropped to the ground on his back to avoid the kick. The opponent's leg soared right above, which Fjord locked his arms and legs around. The dwarf laughed, "Hey look, I'm a sloth." With no more hesitation to wait for someone to react to his joke, Fjord took his medium-size battle axe off his back holster and slammed the tip of it's metal handle right onto the opponent's kneecap, hard.

He kept his mouth clamped shut, fighting his inside. 'Honestly could care less if I lose as long as it get this pain away.' He throat burned, making him irritated. Pain seem to trigger his reaction easily.

The small creature ducked , latching on like a sloth, or a leech in his opinion. As soon as he latched, Nate used his momentum to fall to the ground and roll, squishing the opponent. The hilt of an axe hit just below the intended target. "Sneaky little thing you are." He thought, doing a back flip to stand up.

The pain in his leg was no joke, and he used his staff to help him get up. Once he was up, adrenaline canceled the pain, but a big bruised formed.

'Since I'm done it once, no harm in using it now.' He thought, focusing on the fight. "Alright have it your way. " He shriek filled the forest, and he moved toward the creature, staff in a defensive postion.

The shriek got louder in pitch, his own ears twitched, as the sound cut off and Nate swung his spear in a very low sweep. He twisted at the same time, so he was out of the others reach. BlightGiver BlightGiver

Mikahil gave a puzzled expression, "how does...bleh...bread and water help? And-ahem-yeah I'm up for...The snatch." He had a straight face and his walking was still bad for him to handle, "So since we're-bleh-going to 'borrow' some bread and-ahem-water. Then...where's the cafeteria?" He doesn't really know anything about the school's layout, so it would make everything much harder on him when he would need to find a specific place.

MoxxyMoxx MoxxyMoxx

"Don't worry. I know my way around," he smiled. He may not be completely telling the truth but hope was important. "Bread and water actually helps a lot," he explained, "Bread is a carbohydrate and will help fill your stomach. If you didn't eat before you or drunk, eating when trying to sober up is important. Water also helps rehydrate the body as you sweat out the alcohol from your system which is why you're gonna drink it. Time is the only thing that's gonna sober you up but food and water will make it better. Trust me. I've lived with an alcoholic Keanoca. It isn't pretty being drunk."

Mikahil looked lazily looked over at Kai, "I probably would've understood what you said if I-ahem-wasn't drunk....So yeah...okay...time isn't...something that I really have. Egh. We need to do this quick." He didn't want to miss his match-up against Alexis. He probably would've lost if he had just stayed drunk.

Fjord's opponent was no joke, brushing off the direct attack to his knee joint after a few seconds of staggering. "Does he drink too?" Fjord remarked. Now, there was little to no choice as to what Fjord had to do next. The combatant released another shriek, this one more deafening than the first. It served it's purpose in making the dwarf hard of hearing now. "Aw man, now I can't hear myself make jokes!" He yelled.

The opponent went into a sweeping maneuver making it impossible for Fjord to attack from the ground. 'At least I can hear my own jokes in hear.' Fjord thought as he quickly analyzed the situation. His limbs felt heavier than before, the shrieks were taking more of a toll on him with each passing usage. The dwarf had to decide, 'Might as well.' On the ground to his right appeared to be some rocks; just what was needed. Fjord jammed the handle of his battle axe in between the rocks and use it as a fulcrum to launch himself into the air. "I'm a bird!" He shouted, soaring above his foe. This time, he meant business; Fjord began to unleash a large cloud of confusion gas from his fingertips, and added a spiral motion to his body. This corkscrew maneuver allowed the gas to spread farther into a larger cloud that began to fall toward the ground. One inhalation of this gas and the opponent would be done for; he'll suffer memory loss and have no idea where he is for a short while.

"You're not going to win the fight like this even if you are sober in an hour or two. You'll still have a hangover. You'll feel sick and you won't be able to do much out there. I hope you have a decent power otherwise you're going to be pretty screwed." He chuckled slightly and turned a corner into the cafeteria. He walked over to a table and pulled out two seats. He gestured to one before moving into the kitchen to raid the pantry for a load of bread. He then got a big glass of water and moved back into the cafeteria. He placed everything down, the bread, the water, Kai's water bottle and his staff. Kai say and spoke, "Now I want you to eat the bread slowly and drink the water in sips so you won't get sick. I ain't cleaning that shit up." Kai then opened his water bottle and threw the water up into the air and made it hover there. It just floated, moving around slightly. He loved this part about his species.

Mikahil smiled at the thought of a headache, "pain is nothing new to me..." when they made it to the cafeteria, Kai pulled out two chairs and Mikahil say down. He watched Kai take a lot of bread and a big glass of water out of the kitchen. Mikahil took a a slice and calmly bit a small piece off. "So what's your power?" he said staring off in front of him as he chewed.

'What the actual afterlife are you planning now?' He thought as the dwarf lauched into the air. Gas. Lots of it. 'Oh heck with the reapers.'

He dropped and covered his face, rolling as far as he could get. 'Where is Mari when you need her?' Illusion would help with the gas, he would expect it. A banshee didn't have that magic after all. "When in doubt try it all." He realize, getting far a he could from the gas.

"Fjord, you want to surrender. " his voice changed, it seemed honey sweet. Irresistible. Influence, he figured if the dwarf was going all out. He would try some new things to. "You want to stop." He continued, sending physiological waves of energy.

"You want to drink that bottle of Ale waiting for you. Now. " he said, his eyes spun with his emotions. A negative trait of a banshee. You can tell what thy are feeling or hiding by their eyes.

He or his spear in a defensive position in case the rascal came at him. Praying to Mari his planned worked. Worse come to worse he would unleash a full scream and send little man flying. BlightGiver BlightGiver

Fjord's hearing was nearly gone after the previous shriek by his opponent, but he could still hear his voice whispering to him. Fjord's body started to give, almost on the verge of relinquishing control of Fjord's consciousness. "Ale does sound good right about now. Oh, man. The hops used for that one were bred to perfection; Rodey did a good job making it." Fjord's mouth started to water at these thoughts.

Fjord's body started to drop to the ground, it looked like he was about to lay down. Instead, Fjord got to his hands and knees and smacked his forehead against the ground. He roared in pain, but staggered back to his feet. The immense pain drew his attention, allowing Fjord to come back to his senses from his opponent's strange voice techniques. "I'll drink that ale after I've earned it, son!" Fjord shouted.

From the satchel around his waist, Fjord pulled out 3 smoke bombs; these were filled with more of his confusion gas. The crafty dwarf threw them at his foe; they shattered easily upon hitting the ground and released 3 clouds that surrounded Fjord's opponent. This created a distraction; Fjord went unnoticed for a split second as he jumped straight at his opponent, his sidearm hatchet in his right hand and ready to strike.

"Yes you ale. You want the ale." Weak point, a bad thing to show a opponent. The dwarf swayed under his influence till he smacked his head. "Damn I thought I was getting better at that. " Nate said.

Things came flying at him, he sprinted. His body disappeared in the gas. He planted his spear tip in the ground and launched himself out of the smoke, a coughing fit as he hit freash air. "Once you had used gas once. It's easy to except it again." He told the dwarf. He actually didn't except it. The breath he had been holding was out of nervousness.

"Have a nice flight little bird." He said turning to him. He open his mouth and imagined the netherworld. The land of the lost souls. Nates shriek became a scream, sending everything in front of him flying back.

Eventually, he fell on his bum and staggered to get up. His last scream wouldn't affect hearing, it was nearly a way to push back the gas and Fjord. It also drew a lot from him. 'I almost crossed over back home to. Scary.' He thought. Nate looked forward, his eyes returned to normal, and he realized what he done. His body shook with both pain and fear.

"Do you surrender, Fjord?" Influence etched in his tone. BlightGiver BlightGiver

"I have the ability to manipulate water," he replied. "I can bend it, freeze it, boil it and so on. I just can't create it out of thin air." Kai moved the water around in the air and made different shapes with the water. It was pretty. He loved his ability. "What about your ability?" He asked, curious about how he'd beat his opponent in the tournament.

Fjord was knocked back mid-air by another shriek by this challenging foe, 'Darn, thought I had him this time. But that was pretty much it, I can't do much more now.' The dwarf realized, reeling from the pain in his head and from landing on the ground. Fjord's opponent seemed to be wrought with a bit of mental fatigue or conflict. 'Looks like he might be suffering from something, better give him this win now. I think I've demonstrated myself enough in this archaic display, not that there's much else I can do at this point anyway.'

Fjord struggled to stand, but managed and hobbled over to his foe. His opponent stood defensively, but seemed to realize Fjord would not attack any more. "Do you surrender, Fjord?" He asked, influencing Fjord's already decided mind further. Feeling his mind being manipulated with, the dwarf smirked. "No need for that weird vocal mumbo jumbo, pal. I know when I'm beat." Fjord said, after giving a light playful punch to the combatant's stomach. "And here, you've earned a little something..." Fjord pulled out a small bottle of light wine from his smoke bomb satchel. "Nothing better after a match than a drink, am I right? Haha!" He handed the bottle to his opponent and walked away. "Y'all heard that? This guy wins!" The beaming dwarf shouted as he walked away.

Fight 2
The captain closed his eyes and the illusion disappeared, he looked to the dwarf then to Nathan, "And Nathan wins." Although he didn't sound too excited about it, "Now get out of here."

Nikki returned to the stage, reaching into the hat again, "And the next match-up is..." she pulled out a piece of paper and it read, "Alexis vs. Mikahil!"

The captain nodded his head, "Right. Contestants.. get up here." He sounded like he wanted to get this over with.
(Looks like you're up Mika.)

Alexis Strait
Alexis got up to the stage without hesitation, "See ya, girly!" She shouted back at Adelina as she went to the stage. She stood on the arena waiting for Mikahil to show up, 'Don't you dare lose. Or at the very least put up a fight.' She thought to hype herself as she waited.

Nate nodded as his opponent talked. "Mumbo Jumbo? It's called influence." He said, though he doubted the boy was listening, he took the gist. Nodding a thanks. 'I told you I'm not much of a drinker....' he thought he did anyway. Earlier.

'Maybe if Mari wins or loses she can take it. He said grabbing his discarded spear.

"I actually survived. Sure people might think it was easy, but I'm worn." He said out loud. He walked out of the arena stopped by a cold smirk. "Ah my little fledgling manage to actually fight. I'm so happy." Mari said. "Now if you don't mind I'm going to go see what I'm up against." She told him, not giving himself a chance to speak.

He nodded , shoving his gear and the drink in the bag. 'I'm just going to be here then.' He thought, sitting down.

Mari walked over to the giant, changing her body size to mimic his. 'Woah. This is tall.' She thought, adjusting to her new state. "Hello there. I'm your opponent. My question is how do you fight? " she sad bluntly as possible. Daniel Reaving Daniel Reaving

Mikahil heard his name being called from the cafeteria and he got mad. But this time, he was smart enough to know it was his fault anyway, "Thank you, Kai. But I must leave." With that, Mikahil stumbled and fumbled his way to the arena. The air was cool, but he knew things were going to get pretty heated up, and quickly at that. "So-...geh...looks like nothing could be helped. I-ahem-ate some bread..." His voice was slightly clearer than it was, but it was still a small difference. "Don't expect anything flashy women." Mikahil smirked at that remark and went into fighting stance with his hands open and fingers apart.

Adelina was watching the fight intently from the barracks where the waiting kids were. Both of the opponents were fierce fighters, and after the blow to the knee, Addie was sure the banshee would go down. She was wrong, however, and the kid fought his way through the battle, eventually winning. He was fierce, though he seemed a bit tired. She watched Alexis speed away, ready for her fight about to begin. Addie noticed Nathan had entered the barracks again, and observed him from afar. The kid was a fighter, that was for sure. He didn't deserve anything less than Bravo. She watched him for a bit, and after the girl left, Adelina approached the tired kid. "Nice fight." She said softly, offering some water. She stayed silent, not wanted to make him feel rushed after that spectacle.

Fjord took a seat in the spectator area, right next to Glash. "Ah, that was quite a rush. Haven't fought like that in a long time." The dwarf told his writhing friend. "You were outmatched there." Glash noted, to which Fjord scoffed at. "If it was us down there, he'd be dead" "Hey hey hey, you're not allowed to kill your opponents in these matches, Glash! You heard the rules, right?" Fjord quickly berated the swarm. "Of course, but we are just implying that if it was us there, and the rules were not in place, our opponent would be a could husk on the ground."

"Uh...right." Fjord awkwardly agreed. "But remember, no killing anyone. Understand? That is what you explicitly can NOT do. If you kill your opponent in your fight, it's curtains for you here, or maybe curtains to you living." Glash made a nodding motion. "The rules were no killing and no dirty fighting." Glash restated. "We will fight, and we will make sure our opponent will not die." Glash coldly stated, getting up and moving away. "Uh, right." The confused dwarf replied. 'Why do I have a bad feeling about this?' Fjord worried. 'Since he knows not to kill here, I guess that means Glash knows about restraint.' Fjord thought, feeling a bit relieved. 'But wait, how far is the point of restraint to Glash?!'

Nathan turned to a girl as she approached him. "Ah. Thanks." He said, bowing his head, since he could not stand and bow in his tired state. He took the water with a shaky hand, taking a few sips of it.

"It was werid. Fighting some one. I mean I fought with my cousin and Mari, but never with someone I didn't know...." he said suddenly, curling his legs to his chest. He clearly wasn't a fighter, people could easily tell the only reason he was here is because in moments of panic like the fight, he couldn't control it. The screams. It scared him he could have killed Fjord by accident.

"I've never used my powers like that. It was like someone takes control of me when I panic. " he said quietly. GardenParty GardenParty (sorry but my emotional child just needs someone to talk to that isn't a red head cold child.)

Adelina's hands hovered over Nathan. She wanted to comfort him, but she knew little about human sadness. She awkwardly patted him on the back, rubbing her hand up and down his hunched form. Adelina started humming, her voice ethereal. She didn't know what else to do, so she broke the sounds of the cheering stadium and pressed them behind the pair. She continued humming, combing her webbed hands through Nathan's hair. She hoped that it was calming him down, though she had no way to no. All of this was new to her. Addie took a shaky breath and started to hum louder, stroking Nathan. Purple star dust swirled around the pair, lighting up Addie's face. "It's okay to be scared." She said softly, continuing her humming.

'It okay to be sacred.' The last time he heard those words is when his mother admitted what he was. He wasn't like his father and uncle, and cousin. No he was a banshee. Like his mother, who left him.

However, he did seem to visibly relax. The girl playing with his hair, made him feel comfortable. Something he hasn't felt since he was with Mari. "Thanks." He said looking at the purple dust and listening to her hum. "I'm sorry for the break down. I can tell you not use to comforting people, but you did a good job." He said, offering a smile.

"It feels nice to talk to some one who won't tell me to grow up or to get use to it. "

The truth, his eyes swirled a happy sky blue, and a content green mixed in. He straightened out his legs, inspecting the bruise. "I thought I would go out the first blow. But my power took over before I could react. " he said simply. GardenParty GardenParty

Calloway was surprised by the big woman that sat beside him, clearly mimicking his size and stature he spoke. "That you will not know until you face me in the ring." Calloway simply said in response to her question before looking back to the battles that waged on in the arena. In all honestly the bluntness of the question kind of angered him. He didn't understand how someone could just walk up to another and pop the "what's your fighting style so that I can easily figure out the weaknesses of it" kinda question. If anything he found it dishonorable but did not vocalize his feelings towards her question. She didn't know what he was like so it wasn't like she knew he found it dishonorable. So he let it go and continued to watch the fight while also prepping hundreds and hundreds of different starting scenarios in his data drives so that he would be ready when the fight started

She sighed at his empty answer. "Look I'm asking because I clearly can't punch you. Your armour would end that pretty quick. I don't have weapon strong enough nor big enough to combat yours. The only thing I have is non offensive magic and the ablility to mimic your height so I don't feel so small. So how am I supposed to fight you? She asked him again, glaring, the red head temper flowing through her.

Something about the guy already made her want to hurt him. And hurt him bad. Then again, she couldn't. Daniel Reaving Daniel Reaving
