Avari Avari , I have an idea for an elaborate NPC. An attendant from the North Eye who would both assist and pose a problem for Alwyn. Should I inform you of this? I believe I should, at least preliminarily, write them myself, however.

Well, whilst I do say "elaborate," they are more relevant in the case of story developments pertaining to the North Eye. Until such occur, they will be little other than a personal maid-squire.

Unlike some, I have no prior experiences with this setting, so I cannot presume to make assumptions pertaining to the story developments. I would not wish to derail, or make my presence within the story obnoxious and overwhelming, so I would like to at least run my ideas through you if you have the time to spare for it.

Why do you write like this lmao

Yknow I always wonder how characters know they're immortal like how do you test that apart from just living and riding it out

Also if its an elaborate NPC you can always have a second character if you'd like - but I've no issues!

I will consider this option.

T'is simply how I communicate.

I would argue that, even if difficult for some, elaborate and verbose commentary better illustrates the intentions which I seek to portray. Though, doubtlessly, there are many other influences upon the manner in which I speak. It is a circumstantially-caused amalgam of a varying number of literary influences, some easier to understand than others.

A microscopic approach could certainly reveal that possibly. An immortal could be considered a cancer that endlessly proliferates when conditions for survival are satisfactory. (This is assuming we're dealing with a biological immunity to age, rather than the misconstrued comparison to invincibility or the type of immortal that defies lethal injuries.) Take a sample of your cells, create a cell culture where your cells can sustain themselves then see if they stop progating then die. If so then you're mortal, but if they don't die and continue propagation then congratulations, you're a walking cancer that may or may not eventually die from overburden.

Avari Avari Apologies for the late introduction.

Meet Malphaestus, they're a time traveller. Even I can't understand what they are saying half the time. But that writing is 👌 .
We've been writing and hanging out together since your hiatus in 2020. Also my RPN husbando.

The other is WorthlessPlebian. Pleb is fine, they dun seem to mind. Struggling man of science. They know all there is to know about the sciencey stuff down to the scientific names. They have been in my last 3 RPs, so they're solid. Can vouch.

Another fact of biological immortality is the diversification of the methods. You don't need cells that never expire, how about you simply reverse your age back to an infant. Though admittedly this form is qute frail. Or a particularly fun method of immortality is binary fission. A bacterial approach where you split twain then your new 'daughter' forms split again and you create four entities that are you.

Though as with most things, these are merely speculative.

For the human form, I mean.

They can get a whisper from their deity saying they're immortal, and then try the most stupidest deadliest thing as to prove their faith to that deity

Thanks for the compliments, though please, my knowledge of "sciency stuff" is not even comparable to a drop of piss in the bucket of the medical field.

I corrected, not out of any foolish notion of humbleness or modesty, but accuracy. Though it can be seen as such from an outsiders perspective.

I am aware of the nature in which people pursue science, mastery of all things an impossibility to accomplish within the sphere which academia pervades. Expertise and specialization the only plausible solution to such a quandry. Nonetheless, all actions bear worth should one reflect upon them; to address or ignore----- a choice taken.

I disregard the fact that you are a study of medicinal knowledge, and how within academia this arbitrarily complicates the distinctions that lie within.

Not knowing everything there is to know about everything is no real reason to dismiss the praise of others, who have no clue of what they talk about, in regard to you knowing everything.

If we could ease up on the fruity language a little so I don't have to read messages five times to understand what they're saying I would appreciateeeeee it
