Dice Café

The level of danger, the rules of the place, the power structure of the place, rumors about any powerful objects currently residing there, any insider knowledge he would've come across as far as the perfect way to butter a specific seller up to get a decent discount, and of course, where would be able to safely bathe. Priority in that order.
Danger level: Hostile to Templars and goody goodies. Don't show up rich. You can get conned or your stuff stolen here. Apart from that, if you mind your own business you're good.
Rules: Don't ask too many questions. Respect the Beatdown Gang
Power structure: Run by the Beatdown Gang headed by Sully Stabber
Powerful objects: They collect the deadly rain that makes you age quicker from the Arid Badlands here. They also have wood from the remains of the stump of the manna tree that is resistant to this rain. They use this rain to quickly grow food (booze mostly) which has helped them survive in the desert. Powerful artifacts aren't kept there, just passed on quickly to potential buyers. This is the place where exchanges are made, while the artifacts are kept in the hideouts of the bandits before any deals are made. Last rumor is that they are designing a better solar surfer engine than before from machines excavated from the ruins in the badlands which is drawing some potential riders who love the sport of solar surfer racing.
Buttering up: Sully Stabber likes fast things. If you have anything to offer to solar surfer racing engineering, you'll get along just fine.
Bathe: Yes, there is one bath house there next to the walled up oasis that the Beatdown Gang controls.

By the way, how do you find out what to buy at the black market oasis? If people don't bring their crap with them, I mean.

Also, Charon would like to do a Detect Magic sweep of the camp, looking out for traces of magic on people and in places, even Lysanthir.

Oh, they show the not so powerful stuff. But the powerful ones are like through word of mouth or the bandits themselves approach people they know who are interested and can afford it.

So order of business 1: Charon wants to sweep the camp.

but order of business 2: Charon has:
  1. Katulu Staves x6 unidentified
  2. Unidentified robes
  3. unidentified haversack
  4. unidentified wand
  5. Unidentified black velvet mask
  6. unidentified potions
  7. unidentified circlet
Now, I haven't seen a spell for identifying this stuff. How does one do so?

Tis Detect Magic and you gotta touch the item.

By the way, apart from feeling magic, is there like a visual representation of magic when Charon uses detect magic? Or its just a feeling? Sisyphus Happy Sisyphus Happy

And nope, no need to roll, unless he looking for hidden stuff?

There's no visual effect on him and he only receives a feeling from an object. Then, he interprets that feeling. It's most like a radar/interferometer type deal, or something.

Yeah, he's going to try to look for any kind of concealed magical influences in the camp or any of its people.

Kay, knowledge roll please. No DC, info just depends on how high the rolls.

Ugh, RNG.

His magic is a whole lot of feeling stuff. He's got high knowledge but really it's all about feelings. If there's another magic user who has their signature on the area, he might just end up basking in it or something. God.

Okay. XD

How many unidentified potions does he have? And is he going to use 7 manna or more to identify all items, or spend 70+ minutes casting detect magic as a ritual to identify? Sisyphus Happy Sisyphus Happy
