I was having trouble grounding myself in the conflict they're currently engaged in because my character sort of came in on mortal trauma so I've been focusing on character vs self and character vs character. I got too caught up to it and when this scenario hit, my brain didn't come unstuck from wild emotional rollercoaster mode.

Okay, I know this is big sandbox RP, but what sort of races are there in the world? What sort of trolls, orcs, whatnot are there? Just whatever we'd like? Are there racial bonuses? What kind of fringe humanoids are found in the civilized parts of the world?

Also, for some reason I can't remember whether each stat defaults to zero before point distribution, or 2.

They are many. Ya can even make your own race, if ya want.

Just know that vampires, ghouls, demons, etc. are not allowed to be played as characters, considering they are creatures that are specifically evil—-unless ya are making an evil character.

I know in certain merfolk, there are merpeople that still eat humans. Lure them in with song before drowning and eating them. So i assume, yes. There are racial bonuses. Like I’m pretty sure high elves are living in deep woods and are considered like some sort of ... race that anybody don’t know about, for example.

I think it’s the first option. I think.

I'd say it's alchemical (assuming it has ragnite as part of the components) + forge + spell as its being crafted + time = complete materia

And then materia cannot be changed once complete.
