Futuristic Brain Burger

"We have the people that have nowhere else to go, Belinda. We have food and water for everyone, working water systems, power - I plan to keep everyone together, but if people want to leave I ain't holdin' 'em at gunpoint and askin' 'em to stay." He swipes the bag up off the table and walks to the door, opening it up. "We've got GOOD people with us... Any problems people are havin' come to me and I do what I can to fix 'em, I negotiate and make sure everyone's happy. If changes need to be made, I'll sleep on it and think about it, but I do not ONCE doubt the trust levels and the loyalty of the people of this group." He added, followed by walking out and closing the door over. He sighed as he went upstairs and checked in on Nathan's room - he was still sleeping like a baby; he then walked around aimlessly in the upper hallway for a moment, thinking of where he could hide the bag. (@firejay1)

There's no such thing as good people. She thought as she practiced her martial arts, trying to bring her body back into shape. Only monsters. Those who are good enough can hide it from others and sometimes even themselves, but they're monsters all the same. Me too. She went on practicing vigorously as if to expel evil humors from her body.

He walked into the Dispatcher's Office and went over to the desk; he placed the bag down atop the surface of it and then glanced around before setting his head down - usually when there was nothing else to do he'd go and talk to Nathan, but that wasn't possible right now. He rubbed the back of his head and stayed in that position, waiting for someone to come along and find him. (@firejay1
Norman pulls out a notepad and pen from the drawer on the desk and turns to a clean page; he begins scribbling something down and either circling the words or putting a tick beside each one. He spoke aloud while doing it, because something had just crossed his mind - they may have been in need of more supplies than what they currently had.

"Food... Check. Water... Check. Fuel... Check. Beds... Check. Clothes..." He looks down at the word 'clothes' for a moment and then sighs. They had more people. They only had clothes for the people that were there before them, and with winter right around the corner this was potentially one of the most vital types of supply that they could have right now. ".. For fuck sakes..." He said in a slightly raised voice as he circled the word 'clothes'. He shoved the notepad aside and leaned back in his chair, thinking about when they could do the next run - they'd had a day's break since the previous one, so it all depended on who was up for doing whatever he planned.
Norman got up and went out of the room to try and find one of the newcomers; he'd go through each room until he managed to run into Noah. He walked over and patted him on the shoulder. "Hey, Noah?" He called to him. (@32sillylight32)

Noah was surprised at first and immediately jerked off grabbing his wrist instinctively ready to pull him down but he stopped himself before doing anything stupid. He didn't smile or anything, but his face showed respect and formality. '' Yes, That's me. Good Afternoon.'' he said politely.

".. Sorry if I startled you." He said softly. He glanced back towards the door and then looked back to Noah. "Would you mind if we stepped into my office for a talk? I didn't get the chance to talk to you properly when you first arrived." He requested, he gave a faint smile of friendliness but nothing more. (@32sillylight32)

'' Sure.'' Noah stated standing up from the wooden chair making it squeak as he pushed it away from the bed. He stood around 5'10 but had a great military build and since he was just wearing a black tank top, his tattoos showed. '' Lead the way.'' he said indifferently yet politely with a small gesture before fixing his messy hair with a swift hand movement.

He nodded at him and then lead him out of the room and down the hallway to the Dispatcher's Office; he motioned one hand off to the foot of the desk where five chairs sat when they first arrived; Norman went to the other side of the desk and took a seat in his spinning leather office chair, smiling at Noah.

"I just wanted to get you in here so we could have a conversation... How are you settlin' in so far?" He asked quietly. (@32sillylight32)

'' Pretty good I guess.'' Noah answered sitting on one of the 5 chairs. He sat comfortably leaning on the back of the chair with both of his legs wide open since he was the last guy on earth that would cross them. '' Not too sure about all the placement and what exactly you want from us in exchange but it's pretty nice here and homie.''

"Good... You see, Noah. I understand if you're worried about... Us bein' so welcomin', and all that - We don't plan to rob you blind or... Or eat your limbs, or anythin' like that - The only thing we expect in return is loyalty. And the following of our rules, of course. If you think about the first rule of 'sharing everything', it sorta' shows that that's what we want in return. If you share what you find so the group can keep on livin', then you're more than welcome to stay." He paused for a moment and smiled softly to him, taking a deep breath. "And what do you mean by'the placement'?" He asked in curiosity. (@32sillylight32)

'' Well, we aren't in the middle of the city where we could not have any escape in case of an overrun. There wasn't many citizen in this state to start with so...Less Zeds. Plus, we have one of the buildings with the highest roof here. Anyway, with the forest behind, at least we have a certain advantage I guess.'' Noah said, '' So... just to make sure. How does your guard shift work. How does your ''Sharing system'' work and all..''

"Alright. As you can see, on the west side we've currently got one fence put up - that was done yesterday. Down main street to the south there's an old building that's been knocked down which is currently blocking the road - the east side is undefended, but that isn't too much of an issue; the fence of the west side is still to be lined with barbed wire and reinforced with dumpsters, and so on. Guards shifts work however we want them to. Commonly it's myself or Stewart that go up on the roof and provide over-watch for the Department, but anyone who's willin' to do it can go up there and take over." He said to him, nodding.

"Secondly. The sharin' system's simple - when we go out on loot raids it's essentially 'grab all the shit you can and get back with the group' - I attend every raid there is, bein' leader n'all - I'll dedicate certain people to certain items so that we clear it up quickly. What you find out there doesn't belong to you or anyone else - it belongs to us. Of course you can keep the weapons you've arrived with, but if you grab a weapon on a run ask me if it's alright for you to keep hold of it and I'll let you know; if you pick up a jacket or a piece of jewellery you can keep it, but when it comes down to mass collection of weapons, ammo, food, drinks, clothes, bedding, fuel, and tools - it's either put into the armory, the storage room downstairs next to the shooting range, in the office that holds all of the mattresses, blankets, pillows, and clothes, or in the stockpile. The stockpile's locked, but if you need a key you can come to me. After each run we'll put the food and drink in there - in there we'll put, let's say... Seventy-five percent of it, whereas the other twenty-five percent will go in the kitchen downstairs so that we all have access to it. The medical supplies are kept locked away in the same place in case of any break-ins, at least the main supplies are." He explained, making use of body language now and again to further emphasize what he was talking about.

"Any more questions?" He asked him. (@32sillylight32)

'' No. It's good.'' Noah answered with a small smile showing gratitude but also showing that he wasn't one to be completely submissive to a ''Leader''. He wouldn't fight for it but he wouldn't take bullshit from one if he annoyed him with orders.

"Heh. Alright... Also... I just remembered, the day you got here I left because I was havin' trouble with my leg. Some crazy fucker we had livin' next door in the church stabbed me up. Regardless, that day I was a bit 'do this', and 'do that' to everyone, if I recall. Just know I ain't like that. I'm not some sorta' asshole that's gonna' make you get up at four o'clock every mornin' to do whatever I tell you. The only time you're gonna' be asked to do somethin' is either when things get too heated and I make the call for the better of things, or when we're workin' and somethin' needs to get done while everyone else is busy. That's why I'm a leader, not a boss." He gives him a humored smile while he looks around the room and then glances over his shoulder to look out the window.

"On that note, I may as well tell you what we're gonna' be doin' at some point - seein' as we've had a loada' new people, including yourselves arrive here, we need to head back out to get better clothes for all of you for the winter. We had a bit of an incident on our most recent run, so I'd like it if you were one of the people to come along - we need the man power, you know?" He pauses for a moment. "Let's see, let's see... Is there anythin' else I need to tell you..." He scratches his beard for a few moments while thinking to himself. "Oh, right. I don't give this rule to everyone, but it applies to me as well - I don't know if you're in a relationship with any woman here, but if you are, or you end up bein' in one... It's a weird rule, but seein' as we have kids stayin' here I don't want anything... 'Funny' going on at night, you get me?" He chuckles for a moment. "You know, I just don't want one of 'em askin' us what all the noise was on the previous night, a'ight? Go elsewhere for that - You're welcome to take a car to go somewhere and do... Whatever." He says to him; he wears a smile which shows that he didn't mean it in any harsh manner; he did look serious about it, though. It wasn't a joke but he looked friendly enough when he was stating it. (@32sillylight32
"Oh, also, before you go - Could you get... Tessa and... What's the kid's name... Bellamy, is it? If they're around can you get 'em to come in here and see me for a few minutes? I'd like to speak to them, too." He adds, smiling softly. (@32sillylight32)

Noah laughed loudly, '' Yeah sure Bud. Don't worry. There won't be any Weird noises happening from my part at night.'' He said standing up and stretching upwards. '' So you want.. The Griffin family right? I'll go get them. And yes, I'll be going to that little adventure for winter clothes.'' he said opening the door of the office.

( @DrTrollinski and @Vaila )

"Thank you, Noah." He chuckled at his reaction to the final rule he gave to him - he was happy he took it in that way. Now all he had to do was wait until he got Tessa and Bellamy to come into the office. (@32sillylight32, @Vaila)

Bellamy was wandering the halls, looking for something to do. His hair had grown far too long, and every now and then he was forced to blow it from his eyes. Looking up, he saw someone he recognised and smiled. "Noah!" he said grinning. "Did you kiss my sister? Because she came back to the room last night with a large smile that I've only seen when she likes someone. Not that I'm saying she likes you, but she doesn't really know anyone else," he said as he grabbed his glasses from his pocket.

--------------------

Tessa was in their room, laying in the middle of the floor staring at the ceiling. She did this often when she had too many thoughts in her head and nowhere to write them down, finding that moving to another place helped her to organise them.

'' Oh Bellamy.'' Noah said chuckling with a raised eyebrow, '' You should ask your sister for this stuff.'' he said with a wink while ruffling his hair. This kid was adorable in every sense of the word. He had grown to know him a bit more and he thinks Bellamy considered him a bit like a big brother... Or maybe he just wished. '' Anyway, Can you get your sister? Norman wants to see you and her at his office for a small talk. ''

Bellamy nodded. "I think she's in our room..... we aren't in trouble are we?" he asked, looking up at Noah with wide, worried blue eyes.

'' No Of course not Bologny. See me after in my room. If you want, we can play cards or that Monopoly game that I found in the living room.'' Noah replied before walking back towards his rooms giving a small salute. '' Don't make mister leader wait now.'' he said sarcastically before entering his room.

Bellamy smiled at him and gave him a salute, grinning happily at the man he considered to be his role model. Moving back down the hall to the room he shared with Tessa, he knocked on the door before opening it. "Tess.... Norman wants to see us," he said still smiling from his friendly conversation with Noah.(@32sillyligh32 )

Tessa sighed and sat up, desperate to move around. She wasn't eager to talk to anyone, but she knew she should. Standing, she rubbed her brothers head with her hand, messing up his hair. "Mmmm we need to get you a hair cut," she said thoughtfully before they made their way to Norman's room. Tessa knocked gently and waited for a reply.(@DrTrollinski )

Tessa opened the door and held it as Bellamy walked in. "You wanted to see us?" Tessa asked as she shut the door behind her. She was curious as to why he'd called them here. To her knowledge, neither of them had broken any of the rules but Bellamy didn't seem fazed by their current situation. He'd been assured by Noah that nothing was wrong and he trusted him. (@DrTrollinski )

"Indeed I did - Don't panic, I just wanted to talk for a few minutes." He motions one hand off towards the five seats in front of the desk. "Please, take a seat." He smiles at them both and then looks at Bellamy's hair, smiling in thought for a moment - it sort of reminded him of Nathan's hair, but it was slightly longer. (@Vaila)

Bellamy sat down and smiled at Norman, looking around at everything. Tessa sat beside him and smiled more softly, but if faded after a few seconds. She wrapped her arms around her waist and began to play with the ends of her t-shirt.
