Ordan's Suite

Eden's heart practically dropped when she heard his strangled voice, her well-kept tears slowly sliding down her tanned freckled cheeks and dripping onto Ordan's arms. She knew this was probably going to be the last time she spoke about this with him, especially since he tried to tell her to stop but something in her mind screamed for her to show him how she felt because he wasn't getting the full picture. In response to that small scream in the void of her mind, she didn't tigten her grip nor deepen the kiss, she just..let her emotions show fully, the dam inside her finally breaking.

Her thumb stroked his cheek, running over the unshaven stubble that resided there, her touch gentle and filled with hesitation that was overrided by whatever she'd been feeling; then something happen that surprised thoroughly. She felt his body shift, his hands quickly grabbing onto her arms but..he didn't make an attempt to shove her away like before. In fact, he started to respond to the kiss, causing a shiver to creep down her spine. Her mind slowly began to go blank, only focused soley on him. A hand that rested on his cheek slowly rested at the crook of his neck, tightening slightly.

"O..Ordan.." She murmured back, her body not moving an inch in fear of the same thing happen; but what if he didn't shove her away like before? What if he finally understood? She couldn't take the risk of ruining it, so her body remained at the awkward angle beside him, faced toward him. At this moment, she realized that she had not only proven it to the man who was in front of her, but also to herself. She could feel the light sparks that ignited from his hands on her arms and the small flame that was kindling in her chest.

The vampire nearly melted to the floor as he spoke, her body racking his shivers. All of this affection, the embracing; she'd never been with anyone else besides one man, who so graciously broke her heart. Her eyes closed for a moment as a moment of hesitancy passed over her, but that didn't last long; pushing her uncertain feelings down and into the deep dark recesses of her mind and focused on the good.

"It sounds so amazing! Where should we start? And don't worry about me getting burnt to ashes," she joked, relishing the lightened mood.

Reluctantly pulling away, she quickly moved towards the car and opened the trunk. She rummaged around and pulled out an umbrella out of the back; it looked like a regular umbrella, but it was made with special materials to block out the sun so she didn't get horribly burned. With a smile, she opened it and shut the trunk. "Can't get burnt with this lovely contraption! Now, where to first?"

The blood slave followed after Eve, noticing how dull the other slave had become. Trying to lighten the mood and make Eve smile even just a bit, Sienna came around her side and hooked her arm playfully through hers.
"Come on! This is only the first week! We aren't stuck in the basement!"

Ordan's hands remained on Eden's arms as he barely registered the female's thumb on his cheek or her stroking the stubble on his face. He continued the kiss, even as Eden rested her hand against the crook of his neck and squeezed, the alpha grunting at the slight pressure on his skin. It didn't hurt per say, it was just unexepected, as was her shifting on the bed moments later when she angled her body a different way. Something Ordan could hear and sense, even if he wasn't paying a lot of attention to anything else at the moment.

When she stammered his name and shifted enough to pull away from, he turned his head to stare at her. His hands still remained on her arms though, not pushing her away as his vision went somewhat hazy at staring at her. Though that had nothing to do with his vision really and more so due to trying to process Eden being with him in bed as well as the fact that his hands were gripping her arms. It took him a bit to process that information and Eden's closeness to him before he released her, his mind in sudden turmoil when it began working on thoughts again and the only thing Ordan could think of was that he had just taken advantage of the woman. Releasing her arms, Ordan shook himself mentally, his emotions all turned around. "Eden...why...I'm sorry...I took advantage of you." Not that Ordan wanted to deny he enjoyed the kiss, unexpected as it may be. He could see the woman liked him...she showed it in her actions and her choices, but he wasn't sure if he could possibly...but Ordan had...he'd...he'd returned her kiss...so...so that surely meant he liked her...right? At least he wasn't fainting again like before...though that had more to do with Achilles' words which only caused the man to become mortified again and his cheeks to flush.

"I...I didn't faint because of you. A...this idiot..." he tapped his head for emphasis, "...said something that caused me to faint. Though...you certainly have Achilles' approval...and..." Ordan hesitated, not sure what to say. How could he even speak of what Achilles had suggested...not only would it likely mortify Eden it would probably cause poor Jaehwa to have a heart attack. If Eden didn't kill him first. Should he say something about the kiss or her presence being here...being...calming? No...it was better he not say anything...that was too...what was the word...too cheesy. "Achilleswantpupsandthinkyougoodmother," Ordan said at last in a rush. "W...withyouandJaehwa."

Something primal was nicking away at the back of Xen's neck. Everything Zumitri said sounded like accusations to him. Accusations of what, he wasn't sure, but they were making him visibly upset. It made too much sense and he didn't want to admit it. "I just won't get caught," he said as if it was the truth. His voice was almost a growl at this point. He felt and looked like a cornered animal. "I can handle myself just fine. I can live my whole life like this if I have to. The future doesn't matter to me right now. I have to live in the moment. I just have to."

He was fiddling rather roughly with his fingers, his eyes never leaving the bottles of soda on the picnic table. There was a frown on his face and it didn't look like it was going away anytime soon. "Besides, what good is education," he huffed. "Street smarts will help me out more than any stupid book."

The male brought his head up to face Evangeline, brown hues glancing over her elegantly framed face, the male indeed had an attraction to Evangeline if it hadn’t been clear before the kiss, and he himself was finally understanding the draw towards her. The vampire was quick to accept that emotion flitting around in his head allusively. Having finally grasped that feeling and keeping it there, keeping this metaphorical notion of holding onto the feelings. His train of thought was focused until she pulled away. Smiling though as she worked and talked, he followed after her before closing the car door as he left to stand behind her as she pulled out an umbrella. She had jested about being burnt to ash, which left him snickering with amusement flickering over his face. “Yes, I can’t miss a pile of ash, so I’d love it if you didn’t float away on me,” he mused, his eyes flicking over the umbrella before holding his hand out to touch at the fabric of the umbrella. “Well, we can start anywhere. Walking would be a nice start,” he observed.

Zumitri
Backyard Custos
Listen. It was what he did as he collected what information he could. The teen was stubborn, like any teen his age. Believing himself invulnerable from harm, that death was for the old or weak, that nothing could touch him. Zumitri had been that way as well once upon a time. Nearly getting his leg blown off and losing his life in that IED explosion had quickly straightened him out. The army, however, did not take in teenagers. Checking the meat and the vegetables, seeing they were done, he began putting them on the platter. "Look kid, I'm trying to be helpful here," said Zumitri. However he couldn't say anything else as he heard a growling as he removed the food and then dampened the fire by turning off the vents. Gathering up the platter, he carried it to the table and then went inside to grab hamburger buns, cheese, mustard, ketchup, pickles and relish. Setting the items and two plates with silverware plus steak sauce, butter, salt and pepper on the table, he passed a plate to the kid and put a steak on Xen's plate before taking the other one.

"The streets can only take you so far unless you wish to resort to a life of crime in which case you would be arrested and sentenced to jail. Or perhaps juvenile detention with your age...maybe thrown into the system on probation since you don't have family," said Zumitri. "Though by the growl you're issuing and the way you're behaving right now...I'm guessing you are not precisely human like I am." As he spoke he grabbed a couple buns and put them on his plate before grabbing two hamburgers and setting them on the buns, beginning to put everything but the steak sauce on the burgers. "If you're a werewolf or a vampire, that presents an even bigger problem than originally thought." Such as the fact that he had no idea how to deal with adolescent supernatural and Ordan was out.

Eden was practically melting into the kiss, his touch like electricity against her skin. Another shiver creeped down along her spine as he continued to kiss her; her tears seemed to slow and only trickle down one at a time. She heard his grunt and felt his grip tightening a but around her arms, causing her to move forward slightly. Soon enough, she pulled away slowly with a reddened pair of cheeks and uneven breath. She cracked her eyess open and found him staring at her with a dazed look that nearly matched her own. Her body ached lightly for his touch, a faint whimper leaving her lips but she quickly covered it up with a clearing of her throat. As he spoke, she furrowed her brow and she shook her head.

"You didn't take advantage of me; if anybody did..I did. I'm sorry, t-that was rash of me.." Eden murmured quietly, letting her eyes slowly drop to her hands that were now in her lap. His next few statements caused a look of confusion to cross her features. Looking up to meet his eyes with widened eyes, she listened and her face went completely red. The female quickly hid her face and shivered; puppies?! With Jae and her?!

The thought made her feel mortified and oddly..satisfied that his wolf approved. Quickly getting up, she moved to the opposite side. grabbed a pillow, and plopped down with her face buried in it to hide her face, her back to Ordan.

The female chuckled as Silas joked and moved closer to inspect the umbrella. "Well, of course; I'd hope you'd notice my ashes, gotta throw them into the ocean."
Joking about her ashes, Evangeline looped her arm through his gently and smiled up at him. She held the umbrella above their heads before beginning to walk.

Eveleen’s eyes turned to find Sienna, her lids lowered as if she was tired. “I suppose so,” she replied, but her enthusiasm was fading. “It won’t be too long until we’re back, though. Good things don’t last long when I’m involved. I apologize in advance for dragging you down with me.” Bending down, she removed her shoes, setting them to the side. Her toes scrunched in the sand as she continued to the beach.

Feet now at the water’s edge, Eveleen took a deep breath and turned to Sienna once more. “I really appreciate you trying to improve my mood, Sienna. I really do. But you clearly haven’t been involved in this trade as much as I was. It... It weighs down on you and you only start to think of the negatives.” A wave came and lapped up at her calves, soaking her legs with sand and saltwater. She was grateful she wore a dress. Shaking her head, she sighed. “But let’s try and enjoy this, regardless. I’ll try.”

Xen
Location: Custos' backyard | Interacting: Zumitri ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

A sigh left Xen’s lips. He knew Zumitri really wanted to be helpful, but he wasn’t seeing what the doctor was trying to get at. There was a disconnect in his mind, and, although he was working hard to process Zumitri’s position, the more he tried, the harder it was. “I’m sorry,” he said as the steak was placed before him. His stomach grumbled again, even though he’d already eaten that entire salad and a whole apple. But despite that, he merely sat there, staring at the meat, at the meal he’d desired for a long time now, without making any efforts towards eating it.

Listening to Zumitri continue only had him feeling more and more guilty. “I’m sorry,“ he repeated as the doctor began to build the hamburgers. He was surprised when the doctor mentioned that he wasn’t exactly human, which was true, but... It was the growling that gave it away? God, he was such an idiot and he knew it. There were no options but to admit it. Besides, this guy seemed to know or at least be aware of supernaturals. “Wolf,” he mumbled, watching Zumitri cautiously. “I was bitten when I was seven. The one who bit me... he was a rogue. He took me under his wing, said I had potential. I don’t remember what I did to make him say that, though. I was too little.”

Stomach rumbling again, Xen gave in and bent over, straight-up biting into the steak without utensils. He pulled back, face already messy again, but with a small smile as he happily enjoyed the flavor. “He’s the one who left, though. Him and the others. Said it was too crowded in Ithawell for him to successfully form a pack so he wanted to go elsewhere for the time being,” he continued, having swallowed and licked his lips clean. “I didn’t want to. I wasn’t ready to leave yet. I’m too connected to this town, so I wanted to stay. He said he’ll come back for me. That’s why I’m not worried about my future. Because Nyle will come back to take care of me once he’s done wherever he is now.”

Ordan
Ordan's Suite
Ordan thought he heard the woman whimper but if he had it was quickly covered up as she stared at him with the same dazed look that was in his own eye. The alpha listened as she apologized for taking advantage of him and that he did nothing wrong to which he huffed. As he spoke, he barely registered his words but Eden seemed to make sense of the jumbled words at the end for she looked up at him...Ordan assumed she had dropped her head at some point as her face suddenly went red. Okay what I did mess up this time? he wondered to himself as he watched her. Before he could say anything, Eden had moved to the other side of the bed with her back to him, putting her face in a pillow to hide it. It seemed whatever he had said had caused her embarrassment. He tried to think on what he had said before groaning and lying back down on his bed, putting an arm over his eyes, being careful not to put weight on his face. Oops.

Ordan did not leave, not wanting to deal with a fussy omega or an anxious and worried healer. Idiot, he thought to himself as he realized what he had done. Ordan sighed to himself as his face remained awash with color before hunger made his stomach growl and the alpha reluctantly sat up before leaning over to grab the plate of spaghetti. "...You are..a comforting presence," said Ordan. "And I did enjoy the kiss...I don't know yet if I love you or if I can bring myself to be in a relationship...regardless of what Achilles wants...but I am...willing to try and do you like...how you put others before yourself."

Zumtri
Custos Backyard

Zumitri was surprised that Xen began speaking. Not expecting the teen to speak up and tell his story, despite that being Zumitri's goal all along, he looked up over fixing his burgers as watched the teen apologize and then say he was a wolf. Well at least he had some experience with wolves, not so much with vampires. When he spoke of being bitten at seven years of age, Zumitri's face twisted into a sad frown. It had been hard enough for Ordan of what his friend had said. What had it been like for a child to endure being bitten by a monster and then forced to turn every full and new moons? "I'm sorry to hear that," said Zumitri, looking down at his food. The kid obviously needed table manners. "So you were bitten. That means Lichen will not take you," said Zumitri. That left Custos and Boreal...assuming the kid wanted to join a pack and he seemed content with the rogue life.

He spoke of a wolf named Nyle who had taken him in and given him a home. He spoke of this wolf leaving with others, of this Nyle wanting to start his own pack and leaving Ithawell to do so. "You need to learn of your abilities as a werewolf and being a rogue will get you either killed or arrested," said Zumitri. "Your best bet is to join one of the packs that are like you, however it depends on what you want in life. Do you enjoy the beast inside you or do you hate it? If you become a rogue...you need someone to take you in and though I have a team of people who work on supernaturals and humans, I could potentially take you in but would need to arrange lessons with my friend in how to properly behave."

Lifting his brown eyes up as she spoke, he shook his head out of amusement. “How could I not?” he teased, the light atmosphere was nice with the wind blowing against his skin leaving him refreshed. “So, where do you want to go first, Eva?” he mused, once their arms were looped together he used his hand to bring hers up and kiss her hand mindlessly before letting it fall back down in his grasp. The breeze felt nice, carrying the different calming smells, lavender and the ocean, it wafted around him. As they walked along, he was tempted to question and get to know Evangeline more but he relented. Silas wasn’t always the inquisitive type, he was the brash, aggressive, feral, and wild. But with her—Silas just walking beside her had ended up with him growing shy, flustered, a little more civilized, and impulsive. “Now that the sun isn’t an issue, we can be out all day and night.”

Eden laid there, breathing in the fresh scent of freshener and the faint hint of Ordan's scent, calming herself down. Achilles thought she'd make a good mother? Where his statements were flattering, there was dark twist to it and it was clear that the wolf didn't fully understand relationships. As Ordan began speaking with hesitancy, her eyes widened and slowly, she rolled over. She lowered the pillow and inhaled quietly, gathering the nerve to nod and speak quietly. "I'm willing to try this only if you are really okay with this; it'll give us time to..to get to know eachother." Eden bit her lip gently, her jade eyes filled with swirling emotions and her cheeks burning brightly. In the back of her mind, she prayed to whoever was out there that this worked out but also for him to be happy.

Laying next to him, she let a smile overtake her lips, her hair splayed out across the mattress beneath her smaller body.

"Hey, how's your eye? Did..you hit your head too hard? I'm sorry I wasn't able to catch you," she asked, now growing a bit worried. Quickly pushing herself up slightly, she waited until he was done moving and lifted a hand, resting it carefully on his cheek. Gently tilting his head down, she inspected the area around his eye patch. She didn't want to just go opening the eyepatch, incase he was sensitive around it.

Her eyes flickered up to his before she went back to gazing at the eye patch. "I can go get you some pills and an ice pack when I go down to get my dinner." She offered, giving him a warm smile.

Evangeline chuckled at his comment about her ashes, giving a playful eyeroll; she was beyond happy and futher flustered as he called her Eva and kissed her hand. With a reddening of the cheeks, the female carefully lowered the umbrella and set it next to the car before walking onward. "Let's see..to go swimming, I may need to buy a swimming suit, but I'd love to window shop for a bit." She mused, bringing her free hand to Silas' upper arm like a proper lady, a smile on her lips. "Maybe go night swimming later; we can go to talk to your Alpha tomorrow evening when the sun sets."

Feeling slight bad for the female, she followed followed in her one piece. Sienna just continue to smile towards Eve and walked towards the water, relishing the gentle lapping of the blue mass that laid out before them. "Actually..I know I've been involved in the trade since I was about 15. I have random nightmares of my past that I can't seem to remember but..these are a reminder." Slowly turning so Eve could see, she moved her hair and a bit of the upper straps for her to see. Many deep whip scars were lining her back with a simple spear brand above her shoulder.

Confusion lined Xen's features. What was Lichen? Instead of asking, though, he continued to dig into the steak in the same manner as he had earlier, occasionally with his hands and sometimes without. He was so hungry he couldn't be bothered to use utensils, and the meat was too good to not eat all in one go. This had to be one of the best meals he'd had since, well, as long as he could remember. He almost got teary-eyed because of it.

Eventually, however, as the Zumitri continued, the tears did come. To join a pack... Wouldn't that be the equivalent of betraying Nyle? But there was something else that came up from Zumitri's words. "It hurts so much, transforming, letting the wolf take over," Xen said, whimpering. "I feel like a monster. Would... would you really be able to take in a monster?" He had no concept of manners or proper behavior, only basic notions of right and wrong. He didn't know why anyone would want to care for a child that was as stupid as he was, on top of everything else. Unsightly and unintelligent; that was all he was. There were no redeeming qualities to him. "I just tried to steal from you and yet you're being so kind to me. I don't understand, not at all."

Snickering as she laughed, and reddened, the male could tell his eyes were twinkling slightly with his eager aptitude towards spending time with Evangeline. Silas found amusement in the tiniest things, whether it be her dusted cheeks, a shying smile, anything that caught his attention was quite the eye spotter. Placing her other hand on his arm had him glancing down at it briefly before letting his gaze flickering up to observe the scenery for a moment after she placed the umbrella near the car. “Swimming sounds nice, though haven’t been shopping in over a century. Enjoyed it better when I didn’t have the money,” he joked.

Planning ahead, now are you?” he teased, it was directed after she spoke of night swimming, he didn’t mind her getting excited, in fact he was eager to explore or go swimming as well. He might not be as excited for the shopping but he was quite alright with relaxing or goofing off in the waves. He wasn’t entirely sure what Hawaii offered but he remembered someone once say Hawaii has everything, so trusting that person he would need to find something they could do if shopping wouldn’t take up all the time they had—it wasn’t going to be bright outside forever.

Ordan listened and nodded, not turning to look at Eden as he got his plate and began eating, feeling the mattress shift as she turned. Twirling the spaghetti with a fork, he lifted it to his mouth and chewed slowly as he listened to her speaking. “I am okay with it as long as it is taken slow. I haven't...haven't been in a real relationship since my ex fiancée...back when I was normal,” said Ordan. He didn’t remember much of his time in the prison camp. He knew he had been with Zumitri when he got out and with Fahad for a bit in the army but those had been...experiments and done out of boredom when trying to figure himself out, wanting an escape that had been mutually agreed on. Ordan shook his head as he swallowed. “It doesn’t throb anymore,” said Ordan. “My head still hurts though.”

As Eden put her hand back on his cheek, again moving, he stared at her as she tilted his head down. As she gazed at his eyepatch, he was grateful she didn’t touch it. “That would be nice, thank you. I also have allowances for you lot. Meant to give them tonight but..,” he gestured at himself, then looked Eden. Pointing to the table where the four stacks of bills were he spoke. “One thousand each for soveiners you wish to buy and take home. It should be enough providing you do not spend it all.”

Eden listened, her eyes slowly growing somber and she tried to smile but the mention of his ex-fiance leaving him reminded her all too much of her own ex-husband. She just nodded and inhaled before daring to tell him about her own experience. "I..I know how it feels to be left; before I was turned, I had a husband who..well, he found another woman and she was very beautiful, had money, just about had everything. Hell, she was a model." The female swallowed thickly and slowly looked away, letting her hand drop to her lap. "I found out not even two days before I came home from a large convention for an Energy Project. That night he left with this new woman and took everything. So..yeah." She breathed out quietly before forcing a smile and pushing herself off the bed. "I'll be right back with your medication and ice pack; I'll just bring my dinner to my room if you wish to be alone." With that, she quickly exited the room, her hands shaky as she shut the door; she hadn't told anyone that, not even her family.

She made her way down to get her food, Ordan's medication and a glass of water, and an ice pack before making her way back up. On the way up, she composed herself and plastered a smile on her face before carefully opening the door back up to his suite. She moved inside and kicked the door closed, setting his water, medication, and ice pack on his nightstand. "Would you prefer to be alone for a bit?"

Evangeline caught him gazing down at her, her face immediately heating up against, her eyes averting to the path infront of them as she smiled. "I haven't been shopping since..I don't even remember when!" Squeezing his upper arm, she laughed softly and lean her head against his shoulder. As they walked, they finally came to a swim suite store with many different styles. Her brow furrowed in confusion as they walked in; she wasn't used to so many..two pieces. Carefully letting go of his arm, she stepped forward and picked up a two piece that was way too small. She turned to him and spoke in a very low voice. "What are..these? I don't remember swim suits being so..lewd." The female hissed, her face turning red once more as she tossed it back on the rack where she had found it.

As they passed by shops, his attention would linger on a few places to catch his mind off guard of sorts. The store he really enjoyed was one of the athletical ones with a few equipment—he didn’t think that there would be one near the clothing section. He was quite the sport fanatic, in a sense he had been around with it since he made major money at one point in his youthful years until he had to ‘retire’. Of course as they walked past and into another store, his eyes scanned over the swimsuits that lined the racks.

As she picked up on of the more odd themes styles, he glanced it over before turning away to look around the rest of the store. “Those are what women wear now—we can go to another store with one pieces? Those can be quite, well exposed as well. I hear some wear shirts, old ones,” he informed while placing his hands into his pockets, “Style has changed,” he concluded while glancing his brown hues over her. He hadn’t quite known the male style to actually change drastically, it was just a fit for whatever one wanted to wear so there were no restraints on style any longer. “Eva, maybe there are some over near the back,” he suggested while pointing his hand towards some of the back aisles.

Zumitri
Custos Backyard
“So not Boreal then,” muttered Zumitri as he listened to Xen say it hurt to transform. That left Custos but would Ordan take in a kid who had been stealing from him? Ordan had spoken of another werewolf prisoner who had been thrown in the dungeons for that though he understood the real reason as being the wolf had threatened his life. Brushing it off, he watched the warring of emotions on Xen’s face. He didn’t seem to know what Lichen was. “Lichen is a pack of pureblood vampires and werewolves, run by a vampire named Blake and his wife Paulina. Ordan says she is a ditz and like a child, as if she never grew up. Purebloods are those born werewolves and vampires. They don’t like people like you or my friend who are bitten,” Zumitri explained about Lichen.

As Zumitri began spooning potatoes onto Xen’s plate and then put a corn cob on the teen’s plate, Xen asked if he would be able to take in a monster and further said he didn’t know why Zumitri was being kind to him. “I have a bit of experience with werewolves. Not so much with vampires so I’m glad you are not a vampire. But I don’t know a lot about adolescents of any species....other than their habit of taking back and thinking they are invincible.” Zumitri scooped potatoes into his plate, then grabbed the second ear of corn and unwrapped the foil carefully, letting the steam come out. “Oh no, this isn’t my house. You’re stealing from my friend Ordan. He’s the alpha of this pack and a werewolf like yourself,” explained Zumitri with a laugh.

Laughing at the teen’s confusion, he considered the question of taking the child in. “My work hours are hectic with being called into surgery or healing any werewolf or vampire that needs healing their own healers can not provide,” said Zumitri. “Plus I am overseeing something special for the supernatural benefit. But if you do not wish to join my friend’s pack, I would be willing to take you in. You would be going to school though and then training with my friend once I can arrange it as werewolves and vampires have different abilities from humans. If that is agreeable with you, I can speak to a contact Ordan and I know about pushing through guardianship or adoption if you prefer without going through a long hassle. Of course if you do anything stupid like attack someone, you risk exposing the supernaturals and yourself...humans generally do not know of the supernatural but for this group of humans known as the Blood Order. They...they hunt and kill supernaturals for a living”

Ordan
Ordan’s Suite
Ordan listened as Eden described her own ex husband leaving her for another woman who was a model apparently. “Oh yes, go for the woman with an eating disorder and fake breasts. Yeah that’s really attractive,” said Ordan sarcastically. “That’s your ex’s loss, he has no idea what he gave up.” Now he was just saying stuff, even if he did believe what he said but he was probably further embarrassing Eden. Damn females. As she got up, he stabbed a meatball with his fork and said she would bring in an ice pack and pain medication. “Yes that would be good. Thank you,” said Ordan.

When she left, closing the door behind her, Ordan cursed to himself. You’re making yourself look stupider with each word that comes out of your mouth around the hunter. I guess that means I do like her. Don’t men usually act like buffoons when around pretty people they are attracted to. Well it’s probably better then telling Jaehwa you liked his fur when you found him. Ordan cursed again and lifted the meatball to his mouth. He really does have nice fur though...it’s like...it’s soft and lush. Ordan had made sure he never said that again and would have to have tighter control of Achilles for the rest of this trip.

“Of course it is...that why Jaehwa will also be good mother.”

Ordan slammed his head back into his pillows as Achilles seemed to finally stir and comment. Speak of the devil, Ordan thought. “Jaehwa is not a female. What the heck are you doing up? I was hoping you would be unconscious for a while.”

His inner wolf chuckled. “Your mind changed. It’s disorienting.”

“It’s supposed to be.”
Ordan bit into the meatball, mentally shoving the wolf in his head into a tree. When Achilles tried to get up, the alpha focused on adding something else to his mindscape. Volcanoes, his memories of the ocean and Pompeii which his parents had taken him to as a child along with Athens. Of course shaping this and making the cities alive with people and animals...more so done on images, plus a sea and the island of Capri...the canals of Venice...the alpha further caused disorientation for even himself and spent more energy then he should have, causing the physical effects of paleness to appear on the alpha’s body. So he may have purposely shoved Achilles into the sea...the expending energy was worth it as the wolf shut up. Everything was of memory...memory of trips as a child.

When Eden came back in his room, Eden brought the pain meds and ice pack. “No...you can stay,” said Ordan, taking another bite out of the meatball. Realizing she might fret over the paleness of his skin at the moment, Ordan lifted a hand. “Achilles is awake and so I had to readjust my mind a bit more by adding to what I did while coming aware,” said Ordan.

As Eden set his things down and looked towards him, finding him to be paler than before. Beginning to panic, the female was about ask Silvia what was happening but Ordan raised his hand and explained quickly. She sighed in relief and sat back down on the opposite side of the bed, hoping he didn't mind. "And as for your statement about the woman, she had these huge fake boobs and even had four ribs removed," she shuddered in disgust but..the oddest thing happened; a genuine laugh escaped Eden's lip. Even though the topic was still something she was sensitive about, around Ordan it seemed small and insignificant. The statement afterwards had caused her to smile though, reaching out and resting a hand on his shoulder.

"I don't know if your ex left for a different reason, but you deserve just as much happiness as anyone else." She mused softly before letting her hand move away back to her food. It seemed to her that Ordan had a past, something that was more significant than hers that could potentially upset him, so she didn't allow herself to get caught up in it. Swirling her fork into the noodles, she scooped some up and took a bite, her stomach giving a satisfied gurgle.

Evangeline's face reddened drastically, but she nodded. She slowly made her way down to the back of the store, her brows furrowing as the swimsuits got more and more into the one piece style. Swallowing thickly, picked one up that she liked; it was an all black one piece with two cutouts along the side, adorned with crisscrossing pieces of fabric that would help hide most of her skin but still show some. "Is there a..dressing room?" Eva mumbled, searching around until finding a sign to direct them.

Carefully grabbing what she estimated to beher size, she gently grabbed Silas' wrist and led him back to the dressing room. Promising she'd only be a moment, she found an open room and left Silas out to wait. She quickly threw of her dress and stared down at the black swimming suit before pulling it on. There was a tie in the back, which she quickly tied.
"I don't know how I feel about this, Silas." She murmured quietly before opening the door to show him. Her pale body contrasted the black suit nicely and it being a neutral color, it could go with just about anything.

“Your ex is an idiot,” said Ordan. He watched as she sat in the opposite side of his bed, speaking on his comment concerning this model her ex had dumped Eden for. The male turned his head to stare at her. “Probably a lot of horrible plastic surgery too which should be illegal unless your a burn victim or in a bad car accident,” said Ordan. He preferred the women and men he slept with to be one hundred percent real. Females are so vain about their appearance. It’s always the women. Never see men getting hyped up about plastic surgery.

Hearing this woman had also got four ribs removed made Ordan grimace. “Sounds painful,” Ordan said. When Eden rested her hand on his shoulder, he gave her a long look, not entirely certain why she was being so forward. When she spoke of not knowing the reason his fiancée left, a pained expression came across his face before continuing that he deserved to be as much as anyone, thereafter removing her hand and beginning to eat her own food. Ordan turned away from her and twirled more spaghetti on his fork. “Clover knew there was a chance I would be called to serve, what with men being made to register at eighteen. Yet she...” Ordan’s voice trailed off as he lowered his head and stared down at his plate. “If you knew what I...” Ordan’s good eye closed as his body tensed. “I wish I could believe that Eden. We’re sent to war to protect our country from international threats and of in the national guard from domestic threats but...it isn’t like the recruiter advertisements show. They break you down and then build you back up with insults and emotional abuse, to make you better soldiers and in the end we’re lucky to come home the same as we left, if we come home at all. VA benefits are never enough and for some...for some it’s hard to reacquaint ourselves into civilian life.”

Eden soon saw the pained look on his face, her eyes softening. Carefully setting her food down on the nightstand on her side, she settled back down next to him and listened intently; Clover was a beautiful name and was a very lucky girl to have such a great man yet she left him. Furrowing her brow and watching him with a look of understandment, she nodded slowly. Once he was done speaking. she inhaled deeply before speaking of her untold story. "My brother was blinded in battle and was thrown out because they had no use for a blind soldier. He would have nightmares and flashbacks at any moment; it would sometimes cause him to have seizures. But there was this one thing he would always talk about," she smiled faintly through the painful nostalgia, "he would always talk about this little girl that he saved, right before the bomb went off and blinded him. He described the moment as..a moment of clarity, that that was his purpose; to save that little girl."

Eden lifted her eyes and just smiled at him; she understood his pain, having seen it for herself through her older brother. "The things you did were for keeping the people that you loved safe, and sure, you probably made mistakes but we're never perfect; hell, when I worked at Zalun Labs, I was testing out an energy transference experiment that could possibly stimulate an animal to push out strong enough brain waves for communication. I did a human trial or two, and they..they failed. I quit my job and didn't leave my room for a week because of what I had done." A pained glint shimmered in her eyes, but she quickly turned to grab her food. "You made mistakes, you are just as human as every other soldier, scientist, even the mailman! You deserve happiness, so does everyone in this pack. We all have had rough lives and hopefully, once we find a cure, we can make ourselves a better life."

Observing the different swimsuits, the male scrunching his face up at the ones that indeed grew lewder before getting to a spot where one pieces were hung up. Silas was usually one to not care but he hadn’t ever really noticed how exposed swimsuits were—he hadn’t really gone swimming nor shopping for female clothes. It was a new experience shopping for clothing for a woman in the modern era. Silas even went as far to lift a two piece up with a confused expression before letting it swing back in the rack. Walking towards and after Evangeline, his eyes following her movements carefully, he wanted to gauge her reaction seeing if it was like his. Appearing to be right, he watched as she finally found the right one she began dragging him by the wrist towards the shop’s dressing room.

As Evangeline walked inside, and seemingly put it on, and when he heard the door click he had been facing the other way looking at a group snickering and picking out their own outfits for swimming—they were as pale as many so they were also tourists. Turning away to look at Evangeline as she stepped out, his brown eyes instantly lingered on the pale skin that lay exposed because of the swimsuit. “It looks great,” he murmured flicking his eyes up slowly towards her features, and meeting her violet optics. “You look amazing,” he breathed.

Ordan
Ordan's Suite

Ordan listened as Eden spoke of having some experience with the military through her brother. "I imagine it would be difficult for a blind or deaf man to be fully effective on the battlefield though I don't know for sure," said Ordan. They had certainly discharged Zumitri after his first tour and that IED explosion that had nearly taken the man's life. "A lot of the veterans from Vietnam and Iraq's second war have PTSD. It's what causes some of them to go into raging fits and kill innocent people when they come back from tours of duty. We serve our country but we aren't really helped when we come back to civilian life, whether from ending our service or from being discharged after injury," said Ordan. "There needs to be more services and help for veterans in this country but I guess it isn't much of a priority among politicians and the public." It was rather unfortunate in Ordan's opinion. As Eden described how her brother had become blind, Ordan nodded. "It sounds like your brother is a good man and deserves a medal. Veterans should get the respect they deserve...not many have the guts or the courage to risk their lives for this country...those are usually the cowards if you ask me who then whine and moan, forgetting that even on our shores and in our territories, we can have domestic terrorism. It isn't easy but it's well worth it if you can survive it...and an honor many don't see or acknowledge."

Eden set her food on the nightstand sometime during her little speech and turned to him, Ordan silent as she continued on about everyone making mistakes in life. How he might have made mistakes but that it didn't mean he deserved to suffer at all and not be happy in life. Eden even brought up her own troubles in a previous job, something about experimenting on animals' brains in order to increase communication with animals or something, then graduating to human test subjects and those test subjects dying. "That's unfortunate...I can only imagine what the Blood Order does with any wolves or vampires they capture," said Ordan the werewolf alpha shuddering at the implications and at the same time growling at the thought of his pack being harmed by those humans. She spoke of how she had quit her job after that and not left her room for a week before bringing up the cure. Zumitri had checked, double checked and triple checked Ordan's bags to make sure the alpha hadn't packed his research, telling Ordan to make the most of the vacation and he needed to be rested in order to properly work on a cure. His face twisted into a frown as Eden brought up the cure and how they could all go back to leading happy lives...better lives...how everyone had had a hard life. "A cure..." he said, twirling the spaghetti absently on his plate. "But will it be enough Eden? Will the bonds between the pack shatter when we become human again? Will we forget everything that we achieved, that made us united in a common goal to separate again like high school children when graduating to college and adult life?"

Watching as Sienna revealed her whip scars and branding, Eveleen felt a twinge of sympathy nip away at her mind. She stepped forward, running her fingers delicately across the scars, her mind aloof. "My former masters made sure I wouldn't scar from the injuries they inflicted upon me. They said I was too pretty for that." Pausing, she retracted her hand, realizing her touch may not have been welcome in the first place. "At the most, I still have a lot of bruises, but that's it. I'm sorry."

Xen
Location: Custos' backyard | Interacting: Zumitri ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

Xen was silent for quite some time. Food was continuously shoved into his mouth so he didn't have to speak. He was embarrassed, the tips of his ears a dark pink. He couldn't believe he had broken down so easily like that. What was it about Zumitri that had him so worked up and ready to spill his guts? The authoritative nature of both a doctor and an adult? His run-ins with people older than him were few in number. He wasn't used to this sort of feeling. Not only did he feel quite small when under the doctor's gaze, but it was overwhelming to learn all these new things. Lichen, the fact that this wasn't Zumitri's house, the training he'd have to go through, this so-called Blood Order...

"I don't wanna," he mumbled, then bit into the corn, holding it like one would a popsicle and then wondering why it wasn't working out. Nose scrunching up, he set the cob down and went back to the meat, completely ignoring everything else on his plate. In truth, Xen didn't know exactly what it was that he didn't want. Someone caring for him? It just didn't seem right to him. But, there was more to it than that, yet he couldn't put his finger on it. "I don't wanna deal with all this. Why can't I just keep pretending to be a normal runaway? People don't spare a second thought when they see me running through alleyways. I just..."

Shaking his head, Xen took another big bite of the meat, chewing and swallowing as slowly as he could manage. The time came, however, when his mouth was empty again and he felt the need to speak back up. "And I don't wanna put you at risk, either, not when you've been so good to me. This Blood Order thingy, they're the bad guys, and bad guys don't spare the good guys' loved ones." Was he admitting to caring about Zumitri? Yes. This man had just helped him out. He thought he would die before he got any food in his stomach, and here he was, eating the meal of a lifetime. Was that admission awkward for him? Yes. He'd never much cared for grown-ups, except for Nyle and Aiden; adults were practically evil in his eyes. But this doctor... even when he'd caught Xen stealing, even with how rude and unsociable the boy was... It was hard to process.

Eden lifted another load of noodles to her mouth and took a bite, her eyes focused on Ordan; out of everyone she's ever known, he was the only person who knew her story, or at least part of it. Her eyes never left him as he spoke of how her brother deserved a medal and other things pertaining to the military. She was never really into the whole 'Give your life for your country' thing, but she did believe that if peace was not possible, war was a..temporary solution. Twirling her fork in her spaghetti, she stiffened a bit when he started speaking about a cure. Her eyes lifted from her plate and she put a reassuring smile on, her eyes studying the Alpha.

"We were brought together for a reason, Ordan; we're all a pack now, a family. Whatever happens, I know they won't just run for the hills. They look up to you, even I do." Allowing her plate to rest in her lap, she rested a hand hesitantly on his arm. "You are sacrificing so much for us, and we couldn't just walk away, break ties. The others would agree; you can ask them. We're in this together, even if we become human again; I'll be by your side if that's where you want me, werewolf and human." She spoke gently, her eyes filled with warmth, similar to a mother's warmth toward a child. Slowly letting go of his arm, she looked down at her spaghetti and decided she as done eating at this point.

Evangeline bit her lip gently as she was studied by Silas, her cheeks flushing brightly. Feeling other eyes on her, she slowly looked up to find the girls who were snickering and finding outfits staring, murmuring amongst themselves before turning their gaze to Silas with flirty expressions. Her eyes flickered up to Silas', her petite body tensing. "Are you sure it's not too revealing, I feel bare.." The female murmured quietly, her arms slowly wrapping around her torso. The group of girls snickered, watching the two.

Sienna just smiled, her eyes flickering back to Eve as she touched her scars; some of her scars were more recently healed and were a bit sensitive but didn't hurt. Once the other woman had moved back, Sienna moved her swim suit back into place and turned around with a bright twinkle in her eyes. "I don't remember my first master, but I do know he loved watching others in pain; or atleast that's what I see in flashbacks or nightmares."
