Silas R. Landon
Location: Car
Interaction: Evangeline Eliruz Eliruz

He hadn’t quite processed what his words implied until the pink flushing splashed across Evangeline’s face, he had to stop his eyes from widening and his own ashen cheeks from letting a shade of red snake up onto his own. He hadn’t remembered that was considered a compliment, and that he meant it even if it was a small one. Clearing his throat to regain some kind of confidence he turned away to face the window. He wouldn’t appear like he was flustered, he usually meant what he said and said it in confidence! Yeah, yeah he was confident!

I’ve never been here, I haven’t been out of the U.S shores,” he informed. He indeed explored and traversed the states but Hawaii eluded him, mostly because he never had an ID before but he had gotten one recently after lining with Lichen. He was eager but relented from expressing his excitement towards being able to walk on a new beach. He was already enjoying the tinted version of the scenery while trying to cool off from his earlier flustered moment. “I’m sure it won’t be just business,” he advised.

Ordan
Location: Eden's Suite to Ordan's Suite
Being unconscious and his head hitting the floor, despite Eden's attempts to catch the male as he fainted, he didn't feel himself being dragged to her suite or put onto the bed. Nor did the alpha stir when water was thrown into face when normally that would serve to wake the alpha up and bring him back to consciousness. There was one benefit though to fainting. It knocked out both man and wolf, meaning Achilles couldn't take control, something the alpha restrained at all times but for the full moon and new moon. That was the only real blessing...for Ordan at least. While people soon rushed into Eden's suite, unknown to the alpha since he couldn't hear anything going on or the worry within the pack's voices, Ordan was struggling to come awake and focus.

His mind was hazy and it felt like he was struggling in water, Achilles' body lying some feet from him. The wolf was breathing...as was Ordan...but neither made any move. The jarring impact from the fall had forced the wolf back some and would put Achilles in pain and some confusion...which would echo within Ordan. Their lives were perhaps too entwined with Achilles' control at creation and the years following his creation, eventual acceptance to his fate and their merging that it was hard to tell how a cure would affect the alpha werewolf if a cure could be found.

As his body was lifted by Adesina, he was carried out of Eden's room and towards his own which was somehow found by the alpha vampire, before his body was set on his own bed. Had Ordan been aware of what was happening, the alpha would have sensed the worry and anxiety he was causing in his pack. Ordan struggled in his mind to get up, hair dripping with the water thrown on him to wake him earlier, slowly picking himself up, then stumbling towards Achilles' unconscious form as his vision wavered and the world spun around him and tried to concentrate on containing his wolf so he didn't further embarrass the human side of the alpha. Trying to concentrate he formed up a forest in his mind...forest and mountains...savanna...desert and jungle. A myriad landscape to hopefully confuse and disorient the wolf side. Once he felt he had the wolf contained within, putting in seasonal weather which took a lot out of the wolf and enough prey and water to hopefully keep Achilles busy for a while, he then turned and headed towards the...stupidly light...as he stumbled along. It was some time after Adesina had left, though Ordan was somewhat disoriented...he could never tell how much time passed between being in his mind and being within the waking world.

Ordan finally began stirring on his bed, both eyes fluttering open though of course his right eye was hidden beneath the eye patch Zumitri had procured for his friend and told him it would be better than having bandages around his head like some soldier coming back from the battlefields of WW1. His eyes closed and then slowly his good eye peeled open, a groan escaping Ordan as he tried to focus on where he was, for the moment everything like a fog and hazy within his mind and before him as well, the room not yet in focus.

Jaehwa
Location: Villa kitchen | Interacting: Eden & Adesina ( Eliruz Eliruz ), Xiulan ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

Listening dutifully to the alpha vampire, and because he missed holding Xiulan, Jaehwa took the babe into his arms. He stepped to the side and began to rock Xiulan back and forth as gently as he could manage. Deciding to stay, he watched as Adesina lifted Ordan up and carried him to his room. Despite desperately wanting to follow, he'd probably only wind up getting even more in the way. His eyes drifted over to Eden, who seemed distraught. "Are you alright? It's not your fault he fell," he said, not knowing better. "Besides, Silvia will take good care of him now. There's no need for concern."

When Adesina returned, requesting they prepare food and feed the baby, Jaehwa nodded and trailed after Eden. "I'll feed the baby first; can you handle starting a meal? I can always help once I finish feeding her, so don't worry about that." Cradling Xiulan, he headed to the front door and retrieved the powder formula and bottle he'd bought from their bag before making his way to the kitchen. It took some getting used to, but he was soon comfortable enough to hold the baby in one hand while his other got ready a bottle. Slowly, he adjusted his grip and held the tip of the bottle just high enough so it brushed against Xiulan's lips.

"Come on, drink up. This will make you feel better," he said. "I know how irritable I get when I haven't eaten, too. Look on the bright side, though. You don't have to worry about going through all that alone anymore." A part of him felt silly for talking to a newborn to this extent, especially since he knew she couldn't understand him. Still, it felt nice in a way. Calming. He enjoyed it.

Xen
Location: Custos' kitchen | Interacting: Zumitri ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

"Grilled," Xen replied a little too quickly, surprised that he was being given a choice like this. He stared blankly at the salad, some stubborn part of him not wanting to eat it. "I don't want a salad; I want meat." Realizing just how rude that was, though, he immediately began to dig through the lettuce, picking out the cucumber and tomato slices. Once he started, he didn't stop until the entire bowl was empty of all its former contents.

Done, Xen looked up at the doctor and offered him a small smile, spinach stuck between his teeth. "Zumitri is a cool name," he said, not for any particular reason, "and being a doctor sounds awesome. You get to save so many people's lives. Like a superhero." When he was ten or so, he got his hands on his first comic book. He'd treasured that thing until its pages fell apart and he had to throw it away. "That's so cool." It was pretty clear that his vocabulary was quite limited, but there wasn't much he could do about that. He hadn't been properly educated.

Lifting her hand up to her face, the fair haired female yawned while her groggy eyes scanned over Ordan as he lay unconscious. She had been watching over the alpha as he slept, keeping track of how the male’s chest rose and fell occasionally, when his chest didn’t rise half a beat off she was quick to jolt herself forward and test it. She didn’t want to tell the group how extensive the damage could be to his eye because there was a chance that it wouldn’t occur. In fact she worried just because that used to be her job—worrying for other people. By the time the male had woken up, Silvia was starting to drift away, her head lulling to the side, and her eyes closing ever so slightly. Well, until she picked up on Ordan waking up. Lifting her head, her eyes flickered over to the male who had been knocked out for a lengthy amount of time. Maybe not so long for everyone but she worried so it increased her dramatic view of his time knocked out.

Flicking her blue eyes over towards him, she sighed, “Good morning sunshine,” she mused briefly, leaning forward in her chair slightly as she looked down at the male. “How is your vision? See out of your good eye?” she inquired starting fire off the basic questions pertaining to his injury. They wouldn’t be able to check the injured eye for damage until they had proper tools and proper self healing to handle that larger portions. “Does it still hurt? Ache? Burn? Or does it throb abnormally?” she listed off a few different symptoms that might occur, easy fixes compared to what would need to be done while back in Ithawel. “Feel any regret for fainting on a poor innocent girl confessing her feelings?” she cut out suddenly flashing her eyes towards the male.

Xiulan
Location: Custos Villa Kitchen
Xiulan had fussed some as she was taken from the person that found her, put in something that felt better than the shallow grave, picked up by someone else sometime later and then rushed, tightly yet gently, through the villa into a room where there were a lot of noises and words that didn't make sense. Being too young to understand what was happening, the child could only fuss as she was held, soon passed off to the person who had saved her from death though of course, she didn't know how close she had been to dying. When the person who had saved her took the infant in his arms, the child's fussing appeared to quiet down some. As the figure holding her carried her back downstairs, following someone else, she stared up at him as he rocked her gently in his arms and then set about preparing something for her. Though she didn't know what it was, her eyes never left Jaehwa's face as she quieted and when the bottle was pressed gently against her lips, instinct and hunger caused her to open her mouth and suckling from the bottle, formula flooding down her throat into her stomach.

Zumitri
Location: Custos House Kitchen to Backyard
Zumitri nodded and grabbed a platter to put the steaks and hamburgers on, his eyes raising as he heard the kid speak of wanting meat and not a salad. "Salad's healthy for you," said Zumitri. He watched for a moment as the kid picked out the lettuce and cucumber before eating everything else. As the kid commented on his name, he stared at the boy, searching for some corn and potatoes, cutting up the potatoes and sprinkling them with seasoning and olive oil before wrapping them in foil. "Thanks," Zumitri said, "and yes...I do my best to heal people and save lives but it doesn't always turn out a happy ending. Sometimes, despite my best efforts I end up losing people on the table or shortly after from complications in surgery or complications that were not picked up." Wrapping the two pieces of corn in foil as well, the potatoes and corn were also put on the platter. He then picked up the platter and carried it outside with some matches he fished out of his pocket to start the grill which was charcoal, motioning the kid to follow him. Meat had more flavor on a grill. Putting some coal from a bag lying in a shed behind the house, the doctor put some into the grill and then opened the vents to make the fire hotter. Setting the platter on a picnic table nearby him, he checked to make sure the ashes weren't clogging the vents and then put the meat on before lighting a match and then the grill itself.

Next sitting the potatoes and the corn, which was already shelled and wrapped in foil, he went back in the house to grab some tongs from the kitchen and a couple sodas, bringing those out with him and setting the sodas on the picnic table. "You ever had soda before?" he questioned. "It's sweet and sugary...somewhat addicting due to the caffeine but a nice energy pick up for a while." As Zumitri spoke, he went back to the grill with the tongs to watch the food, giving some space to Xen and allowing the teen to talk if he wished. "Where are your parents?"

Ordan
Location: Ordan's Suite
As the room slowly came into focus, Ordan heard a voice and turned his head to see Silvia sitting in a chair. "Lo Sil," he said, closing his eye as pain from the back of his head coursed through, making his head and eyes throb. It took him a bit to remember what had happened, even longer to realize this wasn't home but the villa and they had gone on a vacation starting today...nearly an entire month. He distinctly remembered Eden...something about her loving him...Achilles kissing the hunter...and then falling. Achilles' words...the two brief conversations came back and he put a hand over his good eye as his body tensed on the bed, mentally cursing himself and Achilles.

Ordan tried to concentrate on what Silvia was saying. Different....ummm...symptoms? Yes...that was it. He was pretty sure anyway...symptoms apparently related to his fainting. "My head is killing me...it's throbbing and making my good eye throb," said Ordan. "I can see...everything was a bit...hazy...at first but it's focusing and becoming...clearer." He tried to think but his head was aching too much to really think on anything else he was feeling.

Eden swallowed thickly as Jae, Eden, and the young baby made their way downstairs. She listened to Jae as he spoke about it not being her fault, but she had pushed too far and caused Ordan to pass out. Offering a faint smile that seemed a bit forced, she simply nodded. "Yeah, I'll be..fine," the female replied, "go ahead and spend some time with her. I'll make dinner; would do me some good to clear my head." She gave his shoulder a reassuring squeeze before splitting off into the kitchen, searching through the cabinets to find something to cook. Her brow furrowed as she found some spaghetti sauce, noodles, and the other necessary ingredients. The moved fluidly through the large kitchen, grabbing a pot, a skillet, and a smaller pot for the sauce.

With careful but swift movements, Eden filled the large pot with water, added a bit of vegetable oil and a pinch of salt to help it boil faster. She quickly set the pot on a burner and cranked it to high so it'd boil faster. While the water heated up, Eden moved onto prepping the sauce and heating it on a second burner towards the back. Once that was going, she grabbed the cast iron skillet and set it down on yet another burner to cook the meat. Soon enough, the wonderful and delicious smell of spaghetti was wafting through the large house.

As the female multi-tasked, her mind was still plagued a bit with guilt but she tried her best to focus on the delicious food.

Evangeline gazed at Silas, seeing him quickly look away with a reddening face, a small giggle leaving her lips. Keeping her comments and thoughts to herself though, she intently listened to the male's words, a sense of warmth and awe washing over her; she really did hope there would be some kind of fun activities. Excitedly, she turned to him and set her hand down against his by accident, her eyes widening slightly. She cleared her throat quietly and quickly retracted it before giving a joyful smile once more.

"I can't wait to go night swimming! Oh! And to swim with the fish! I hear they're so beautiful!" She mused, masking her flustered expression with a happy one; she wasn't necessarily hiding anything, seeing how she was very excited to swim and to just be able to sit back and relax in the open for once.

Xen
Location: Custos' backyard | Interacting: Zumitri ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon )

Before he left the kitchen, Xen grabbed his stuffed bear. He followed Zumitri out into the fresh air and towards the picnic table before sitting down and watching as the doctor moved about. He didn't say much else, knowing the time to explain himself was soon coming and he really didn't want to go there. The reason as to why he resorted to these methods was practically in plain sight at this point. Why would he have to talk about it, about his past? That would only bring up bad memories, memories he wanted so desperately to just go away.

Xen started to pout, swinging his legs rhythmically back and forth underneath the table as Zumitri placed some metallic bottles on the table. Since he hadn't tried whatever liquid was in there, he shook his head, curiously reaching for one. He examined the container, twisting it this way and that, he cheeks puffing up with frustration. "I don't know how to open this," he admitted finally, setting it back down. It was a blow to what little pride he had left, having to give up on opening the can himself like that.

Upon hearing Zumitri's inquiry, Xen quieted down, tightening his hug around the bear that sat in his lap. These were exactly the kinds of questions he didn't want to answer. "They're dead." He wanted to elaborate, to say that Nyle had always reminded him how good of a meal they'd made and that meant he shouldn't be sad... but he didn't know how much the doctor knew about his kind. In other words, he didn't want him to think he was crazy. Which, honestly, was debatable at this point. "They've been dead for a while. I used to have people who took care of me, but they didn't want to stay in Ithawell anymore, so they left. I wanted to stay. Now it's just me and Brownie." He squeezed the stuffie harder.

Jaehwa
Location: Custos' villa entrance | Interacting: Xiulan ( scorpiodragon scorpiodragon ) | Mentions: Ordan, Eden ( Eliruz Eliruz )

Grateful Eden allowed him to focus on caring for Xiulan, Jaehwa gave her a small smile as she worked about the kitchen. He waited for the baby to completely empty the bottle before he grinned, feeling like he'd just accomplished a tremendous feat. Wondering if she would need to be burped, he turned to Eden, about to ask her the question, but decided against it. His packmate seemed too caught up in her work and he didn't want to bug her with something as trivial as whether or not to help a newborn burp.

Setting the empty bottle in the sink to be dealt with later, Jaehwa headed back to the entrance. He sat down there, setting Xiulan in his lap, and started to go through the things he'd bought her. It became very clear to him that he'd gone a little crazy in the clothes department, but that wasn't his fault. Nope. Not at all. Someone had engineered these outfits to be too cute to resist. What was he supposed to do? Not buy them? Picking up the pajamas that he'd dropped to the floor, Jaehwa held the clothing up in front of her.

"Do you like this one?" he asked, giving it a small shake for emphasis. "I made sure it would be soft on your skin." Of course, he felt a little foolish, asking a newborn to tell him what her clothing preferences were, but by now he'd pushed aside his maturity to have a little fun. He was still concerned for Ordan, afraid of what the tri-pack hunt might entail, and overwhelmed with the events of the past two days, but he wasn't about to let that take away from his vacation for much longer. He needed this or else he feared he might lose his mind with worry.

Arching a brow as he slowly uttered her name—or the first three letters of it. She hadn’t been called that for quite a while, an older friend finding the quirky nickname appealing along with platta because of the Hispanic translation to silver. Of course that was all in the past, and trying to dismember that memory itself, she turned to Ordan before standing up beside the bedside. Reaching for his wrist as he tried to regain himself, she felt for his pulse before placing his arm back down, patting it casually before crossing her arms.

That’s normal, it’ll take you a moment to refocus. As Zumitri explained already I’m sure, your good eye will be under far more stress, having to handle the heavy lifting to see will strain it and make it a bit weaker. Kind of what people who have one eye failing go through before getting glasses—one eye weighs down the other until they’re both ruined. However I don’t think that will be the case here the entire time,” she observed. “The throbbing, taking a higher dosage of pain killers will help, maybe an ice pack to cool off and apply pressure to relax it, and then bed rest for most of the day. You were too active, with the falling and all, minimal movement will help from you getting dizzy. Maybe floating in the pool will help out with relieving stress that you are under—I highly recommend swimming in the pool before the ocean, the waves might scramble your head,” she mused listing off the different solutions and advice she could give. The last time she gave medical attention and advice had been hectic, so now she remained much more efficient and collected. He would be a bit tired and drowsy so she wouldn’t need to worry of him running out like a wild man.

His cheeks had died down, returning to a lifeless ashen tone before really simmering down to its usual tone as he kept his gaze locked onto the window casually. Though as he sat there the sound of her giggle and momentary laughter had been frozen to the spot, the noise sparking his interests as he turned over to glance at her not realizing that she had already been examining him. Clearing his throat he hadn’t anticipated the brushing of her hand, and he had almost reached out when she pulled away but didn’t. To distract himself from possibly reaching out for her touch again, he ran his fingers through his dark tendrils of hair. He tugged his hand through his hair carefully as Evangeline began talking about the beach and the activities they could possibly do. Peeking over his shoulder at Evangeline with rather shadowed brown eyes, “Night swimming is fun, I hear that bonfires thrown by the locals are also quite inviting,” he concluded. “Surfing is also available, if you have the balance.”

Hearing Jae's footsteps, she looked up to find him hesitating to ask something but began walking away; with a furrowed brow and soft sigh, she paused in stirring the sauce. "Make sure you burp her; just pick her up like this," she set the wooden spoon down and pretended to cradle a baby to her shoulder, giving a few pats to the pretend baby's back. "Also, she may spit up, so here." Opening a drawer, she quickly grabbed a hand towel and walked it over to Jae. Once she knew he was fine on his own and that he was doing it correctly, the female went back to cooking, a small breath leaving her lips. "Dinner is ready; I'll..I'll take Ordan his plate and get Silvia to join us, if he's in the condition to be alone." Grabbing some plates, she quickly made up enough plates and turned off the burners so the food wouldn't burn. She made Ordan's last and grabbed a set of silverware before heading upstairs once more.

Eden felt as if she was going to break down in front of everyone, but she had to keep it together, atleast when delivering his food. Swallowing thickly, she made her way down to his room and knocked lightly, the smell of the food wafting into the room as she opened the door. She heard voices coming from inside and found Silvia speaking to him of things that could possibly help unscramble his mind. Stiffening a bit, she stopped for a moment, her eyes assessing Ordan's condition before she moved forward and set the food silently on the nightstand next to his king sized bed. Taking in a shaky breath and stepping back, she offered a faint smile and looked down at Silvia.

"Dinner is ready whenever you're wanting it; would you like me to bring it up here so you can..watch over him?" The female asked quietly, her eyes flickering to Ordan but as soon as they met his good eye and jumbled expression, she immediately felt a dull pain in her chest and it was obvious by her faint flinch. Her hand tightened on the back of Silvia's chair, her knuckles paling.

Evangeline nodded happily and gave another small giggle; it seemed..almost bell-like. Maliki looked back in the rear view mirror in annoyance and grumbled to himself as they pulled into the long circular drive. Purposely stopping a bit harder than 'intended', he smiled faintly. "Sorry, this old man hasn't driven in forever." He gave an excuse before hopping out of the car and popping the trunk. The small female yelped as the car jerked to a stop, her eyes widening. Breathing a bit heavy, she glared at her father before looking to Silas to see if he was alright.

Maliki, meanwhile, grabbed most of the luggage, seeing how there wasn't much and stubbornly walked into the house with a haughty attitude. Setting Silas' and Evangeline's things in the foyer, he made his way to the largest suite in the house and claimed it.

Flicking her gaze to the door as Eden entered, she smiled faintly at the sight of the woman, her warm features were always encouraging since she met her. Observing as she brought in a plate of food for Ordan, she waited until she set it down before speaking. Silvia has already crossed her leg over the other as the female spoke about dinner being ready. Eden was motherly, it felt nice to be smothered in a way than being the one to smother, though smothering wasn’t the exact proper word. Caring was a good fit.

Oh no, Ordan will be fine without us watching him all the time—as long as he doesn’t get out of bed before his pain meds kick in. I’ll be back later with the ice pack and such,” she proposed to Eden and Ordan. Looking behind her as the wolf tightened her grip on the back of her chair she slowly got up before turning to look at the dark haired woman. “Why not stay and talk to him? I’m sure he will be lonely without my witty remarks, and I can’t trust him not to start causing havoc,” she teased lightly in a hushed tone as she placed her hand briefly on the other’s arm. “Alright, I’m heading out for dinner, I’m going to the store so let me know if you all need something,” she mused before moving to walk away.

As he turned away, the male caught the annoyed expression from Maliki, an amused expression slipping onto his face briefly. The older vampire seemed to have gone back to putting Silas in his bad graces—it really shouldn’t be amusing but it was oddly enough. Though he might need to rethink that considering the sudden and rough stop at the Villa he rented nearly had him lurch forward. He didn’t seem to have been moved much but it was enough to cause him worry as he glanced over to Evangeline as she yelped. “Not hurt too bad?” he inquired as a chuckle began to rumble from his chest. The dark haired vampire smiled slightly as he gazed over at the fair skinned girl, brown eyes tracing over her slight frown before flashing to her eyes.

I have a feeling he doesn’t usually have a driving habit like that?” he inquired again, before sliding out of his seat and the car. By the time he stepped out, Maliki was out of sight so he merely shrugged it off as him being eager to relax inside. Striding over towards her side of the car, he opened the door casually before leaning against it, “Want to go see the tourist attractions? We can stay in the shade,” he informed. He was curious himself of what was around and until a pause later he realized she too might be tired, “of course if you want to stay inside I understand,” he added, he didn’t want to force her to go out but he figured she might want some company while longing about and that they go do something.

Turning back towards Xen as the teen spoke of not knowing how to open a soda can, the man frowned before setting the tongs down and headed back towards the table. Grabbing the soda can in front of Xen, he placed his finger underneath the tab and put his thumb in the center, wrapping his hand around the can to hold it still. "Grab it like this, then pull the tab up and towards you with your index finger and push down on the center with your thumb. Make sure to hold the can so the can doesn't tip and spill soda everywhere," said Zumitri. Letting go of the can, he turned it so Xen could drink before opening his own can and taking a sip, making his way back towards the grill, still listening to the conversation as Xen spoke of.

Hearing the teen speak of his parents being dead and how he had people who had taken care of him that had, in the end, decided not to remain within Ithawell. "Well I can't blame them. There are things to do but it's a generally...more or less...quiet town," said Zumitri. Minus the werewolves and vampires trying to kill each other, he thought to himself. "And you are...living on the streets rather than go to the orphanage or into foster care," said Zumitri, his tone coming out questioning. "That's unfortunate. Losing one's parents is always difficult," said Zumitri.

Xiulan kept her gaze on Jaehwa as she drank from the bottle, the formula filling her up as she ate. Tiny hands were curled into fists as she ate, the formula slowly draining as the child ended up emptying the bottle of formula. She was then carried off somewhere else, a shiver of cold passing through the newborn's body as she scrunched up her face in dislike at the cold. Resting within the man's arms, the infant watched him, something rustling echoing in the infant's ears before something was held up for her. In response to the question, Xiulan blew a few bubbles as a fist uncurled and grasped one of Jaehwa's fingers. Her eyes began closing as sleep began to overcome her. Jahewa would find newborns slept like kittens and didn't tend to do much else for the first few months.

Ordan
Location: Ordan's Suite
Ordan listened as Silvia arched an eyebrow at his greeting and took his wrist. Assuming she was checking his vitals with whatever medical knowledge she possessed he didn't protest and soon his arm was laid down again before she began speaking, describing what could happen from here on out. "Yes...he did say it would take a while for my eye to heal," said Ordan. "Good," said Ordan as he heard his eye might end up being okay with time. She spoke of him needing lots of bed rest and how his left eye was straining itself to make up for his other eye.

Listening to her words concerning possible ways to ease the throbbing in his head. Pills...ice...apparently a ton of bed rest...damn wolf...floating in the pool over the ocean. "Pills sound good," said Ordan. "Am I going to go blind?" he questioned. He wasn't sure about swimming...Ordan had brought swimming trunks for the vacation but he just...no...Achilles...seemed to be ruining the vacation already. I shouldn't have come with them, he thought to himself. "Sorry for ruining everyone's vacation," said Ordan, feeling guilty over so much fuss and trouble. "Perhaps I should book a return flight home so I don't damper anything here for the rest of you. Adesina will make sure you're in good hands."

Ordan still avoided the earlier question of fainting in front of Eden, his eye closing briefly at the memory that caused the wolf to cough, bringing a hand up to his mouth. The door opened sometime later, the scent of food entering his nose and that smell of honey and nectar. Oh God. Ordan was so glad he'd spent much mental energy dealing with reshaping his mind to confuse and hopefully keep Achilles from doing anything else. His eye slowly opened again, focusing on the ceiling as he scented Eden coming into the room, listening silently as she said dinner was ready. So that was why she was here to bring him dinner. He watched as she set the food on the ground, his eye following her as best he could before she disappeared out of his sight and then hearing Eden speaking of bringing dinner up to Silvia so the healer could watch him.

Silvia rose to her feet and looked over to Eden, Ordan absently listening to what she had to say, truthfully not paying a ton of attention to her words before she began walking away to get him an ice pack and pills. His eye flicked towards Eden and Silvia as they spoke, Silvia heading towards the door. Her words of him getting into havoc caused the alpha to let out a coughing laugh before staring back up at the ceiling.

Patiently, Jaehwa observed Eden's demonstration. "Oh, thank you. I'll eat after I find someplace to put her to sleep," he said, taking the hand towel and resting it over his shoulder. He'd read how to do this but was still nervous about actually handling Xiulan. Holding the babe against his chest, he gently patted and rubbed her back, waiting for some sort of reaction. If he got her to burp, he'd be thrilled, moving to wipe away at her mouth with the towel before setting it aside and making his way to the entrance.

There, he started to feel like a kid on Christmas Day. Hearing Xiulan's gurgled response made him melt, but her grabbing onto his finger had him practically a puddle. "I'll take that as a yes, then," he cooed, pulling away his finger to ransack the diaper bag. Fixing her up with both a daiper and the clothes, he smiled, proud of his work. "That should keep you warmer." Since she looked to be falling asleep, he picked out the blanket he'd gotten from one of the bags and wrapped her up like a burrito before pulling her close, his arms serving to cradle her. He headed to the pack n play and set her down. "I'll be back, yeah? I should go and eat. But you'll probably be asleep by the time I get back, so... Sleep well, Xiulan." Patting her head, he turned to leave to get himself a plate of food. He wondered if he should wait for the others to join him, despite his stomach's protests.

Following Zumitri's instructions, Xen tried again with one of the cans. He'd never done it before and ended up jumping when it finally popped open. Luckily, nothing had spilled and he was able to calm himself down shortly. Bringing the drink to his lips, he took in a long sip, his eyes widening with delight. "This is good," he said once he finally went for air. "This is very good."

Xen shook his head. "They left because there was too much going on," he clarified, knowing full well the true inner workings of the town. At the doctor's questioning tone, he once again glanced away. "I don't like the idea of needing to be taken care of. It makes me feel weak and I can't show myself being weak. That's just asking to get myself killed." His lowered his voice this time, almost on the verge of mumbling. "Besides, I don't want to have anyone stuck with me. It's..." Pausing, he searched for the right words. "It makes them weak, too." That didn't quite come out the way he wanted it to, but it was the best he could come up with.

Eden listened, relief washing over her features as Silvia joked around a bit. Her grip on the chair loosened a bit and color slowly came back to her pale knuckles. The healer always seemed so kind, willing to put up with much of the drama caused by the pack; Eden was thankful to have such an amazing pack filled with amazing people. As she was about to move, she froze in place as Silvia suggested that Eden stay and keep Ordan company. The female visibly grew red in the face and only nodded, swallowing quietly. Her eyes soon fell on the male who was eyeing the two before giving a struggled coughing laugh and tilting his head up to stare up at the ceiling. The huntress quickly turned to protest quietly against Silvia's words, but she was already out the door. Eden opened her lips to speak, but quickly shut them, her gaze quickly whipping back to the male.

Internally groaning, she slowly made her way over to the chair, adjusting her spandex shorts before sitting. She really didn't know how to exactly address him, nor what to say after their last encounter; she did want to apologize profoundly, to tell him that it would be better if she hadn't said anything and just to pretend she hadn't said anything at all but..yet she just spoke in a hesitant voice, her eyes flickering to the spaghetti.

"I..I tried to keep it warm; yours was made last, so it should be..warm..enough.." Eden began to break off after the last few words, her gaze falling upon his form before she quickly looked away towards the decorations and furniture. As she sat there, she pulled her tanned legs into the chair and criss-crossed them, her tattoo peaking just below her shorts.

The female grumbled about her father and his temperament issues as she gathered herself, plastering a smile on her face though her auburn curls were disarray. "I'm quite fine, just a bit..surprised is all." She waved it off like it was nothing, but in reality, she'd hit her nose against the hard seat infront of her; this caused her nose to become an adorable rosy red. Crossing her eyes and glaring at her reddened nose, she huffed softly. "My father usually has a better hand on things; I don't know what his problem is, besides.." She trailed off, soon realizing her father didn't like Evangeline hanging around a possible suitor. Immediately her face reddened and she was lost in her thoughts, her hands fisting the material of her modern maxi dress. Hearing the door made her jump, her violet eyes wide as she gazed up at Silas, who was standing with her door open.

As he offered to take her around to visit local attractions, her face went completely red but she pushed through it and smiled brightly. She hopped out, nearly knocking into his broad chest but caught herself quickly on the door, her body inches from his. Standing there, practically petrified and frozen in place, she tried to speak but it came out in an adorable stutter.
"I-I would..l-love that.."

Leaning against the door, he took note of her brief pause when trying to explain why her father might be having a distaste or in such a unpleasant mood. Cocking an eyebrow, he continued to stand near the door briefly as a small smile played on his lips. He had a feeling as to why that was, for one thing vampires were predatory not as bad as wolves but they liked keeping their family to themselves. The other was just that he was younger and informal with his way of things, he was quite impulsive as well so he had a hard time of restraining his tone of voice at times. Though he hasn’t processed it was for growing close to his daughter—he doubted that was the issue even if evidence was presented.

As her widened eyes made eye contact with Silas’ brown hues, he had got that feeling again, the one where he wanted to stand there and just gaze at her. Of course he only checked her over, eyes looking over the reddened cheeks that got even more dusted as she watched him hang the door open. When she finally managed to get out he noticed the hesitant move to step out of the car, landing only a few inches away from him. The male was stiff, body rigid at her proximity. Silas stared down at her, unsure of why he didn’t move and why he would move.

While she remained frozen herself, he wasn’t sure who would move, but as he glanced her face over he noted the rusted cheeks turning brighter by the minute—he hadn’t quite noticed the same problem on his end of things. His face was quite reddened for the ashen appearance he took on. Though as he stood there in front of Evangeline, a sudden impulse struck his mind—well it hit his body before he could process it. Of course it didn’t take part in action with until she ended up stuttering, though that didn’t stop him for long. Bringing his face down to reach her height he did quite the sudden thing, bringing his lips against hers in a kiss before pulling back suddenly. “Right! Right! Attraction—tourist attractions, I uh, I mean, right let’s, go?” he turned away swiftly his broad shoulders tending up and wide eyes flashing with panic for the first time in a while.

Silvia said not a word to his question on if he would go blind. Perhaps the healer didn't want to answer the question with Eden in his suite or perhaps she didn't know. Whatever the case, the woman left to get the ice pack and pills, leaving Eden alone in the room with him. He could tell by her scent still within the air. For several minutes nothing was said as silence stretched between them. When Eden was the one to break the silence, Ordan listened to what she had to say, merely commenting on the meal she had brought up and having tried to keep it warm. Ordan didn't say anything, trying to process how he felt about the woman, and hoping to God Achilles did not try something else that would cause the alpha any injuries. He already knew his inner wolf's opinion on the female in question and he had to admit her holding his wrist had been nice in the few moments before Achilles had ruined everything.

Eden was a good provider and a loyal wolf. The alpha knew or at least though he knew of her crush on him though he still couldn't understand why to be quite honest. Ordan was silent for several heartbeats, trying to formulate an answer in his head, an explanation, only there was nothing he could say at all with what felt like his heart beating in his throat and avoiding looking at the woman, lest he do or say something stupid of his own accord. "I don't see how or why you like me," said Ordan at last. "With..." With everything I've done...how can you possibly like me? Even if you don't know...even if nobody knows...but Zumitri. Ordan took a breath before slowly exhaling. "You deserve someone who isn't at risk of going blind taking care of you. Someone around your own age that can appreciate...not that I don't ap...someone who can grow old with you."

Eden heard him shift a bit, silence filling the room for the next several moments. Her eyes slowly flickered back to the male to find him avoiding her gaze; this obviously hurt the female, but what else was he to do with the tension she brought around him? As he began to speak, her brows furrowed in confusion and she was about to speak but she was cut off again by his last statement. Beginning to become irritated and a bit annoyed, the female finally spoke up. "First of all," she started, "I'm 39, and not that much younger than you." The huntress lifted a shaky hand to her hair and held back the full force of her emotions as she continued on. "Secondly, I don't care if you go blind, deaf, or even lose your damned voice; that doesn't change who you are. Besides, I can take care of myself if an instance calls for it; I hunt for the pack for God's sake." Shifting in the chair, she learned forward on her knees and peered at him.

"Listen, I like you for you as a person, not for your position or power; I like YOU. The way you get flustered and stutter, the slight accent you have, your caring nature that you so desperately hide behind your Alpha persona." Eden spoke sincerely, her eyes blazing with emotions and her face red, her body shaking, and her lips pressed together. "But, it's my fault you fainted and I didn't catch you soon enough; I don't deserve you even if you did return my feelings, which it seems you don't." Although it hurt incredibly to say this, she forced it out and quickly looked away, once against suppressing her emotions.

Evangeline stared up at him with wide eyes, her breath hitching as she saw him lower his chin to her height, his face growing closer to hers until their lips pressed together in a short but sweet kiss. Melting into the short kiss, a shiver ran down her spine but it was over too quick; a whimper left her lips and she stood there dazed for a few moments. Her mind swirled with many different emotions before moving with instincts, she blurred infront of him, her violet hues ablaze. Quickly looping her arms around his neck, she stood up on her tippy toes and pressed her lips against his once more, electricity zipping from her lips and spreading throughout her body.

Xiulan just stared at Jaehwa as he spoke to her, feeling herself picked up and placed against the male's chest. As Jaehwa patted her back, Xiulan responded by burping which only seemed to make the man giddy, her grip not loosening on the male until he pried her finger off so he could put her into a diaper and then clothe the child. When it was over, Xiulan yawned again as her eyes fluttered shut before she was laid back down in the play pen, the man's words becoming slurry as sleep slowly overcame her. Xiulan let out a tired coo before her eyes finally closed as Jaehwa was speaking to her about eating and would be back, falling asleep and for once in her short existence warm.

As Xen popped open a can of his own and began sipping it, he commented that it was good...very good. "Of course it is...that's why people get headaches when they go off of soda. It's the caffeine. It's a drug and yet not a drug...not enough to be banned and really...decaf soda sucks and supposedly makes you fatter than caffeine soda," said Zumitri. When he began explaining that his guardians had left due to a lot going on within Ithawell, Zumitri frowned as he flipped the burgers and the aluminum wrapped corn, wanting a nice charcoal taste on the corn and a bit into the meat. "Everyone needs somebody and unfortunately you are not old enough to care for yourself. If you're caught you could get put into the orphanage or foster care if nobody were to adopt you due to being under age," said Zumitri. Sadly it was because of the kid's being a teen, at least looking like it, the teen would be put in foster home to foster home until he turned eighteen where he would be in the same boat. "You need someone to guide you until you turn eighteen...even if you think you're okay on your own."

Frowning as Zumitri rattled off the downsides of soda, Xen brought the can back up to his lips, making a point of chugging it all down in one go. "But it's good," he protested again, not seeing the point. He'd seen druggies on the street, but they could stop at any time, right? These were just choices. Surely they could control their urges and end their addiction. That was how it worked, wasn't it? The only reason they didn't stop was that they didn't want to.

He ended up reaching for another can when Zumitri started to tell him about how he couldn't just be on his own, that, without a guardian, he'd be stuck in some orphanage or passed over to a foster home. "So I just won't get caught," Xen declared, his pout returning. "I've managed run free for three or so years now with no one looking out for me but myself." He wouldn't be caught. Couldn't be. It was a childish point of view, much like most everything else he had an opinion on. A small scoff left his lips and he shifted in his seat. "No one will take me in, anyway, laws or whatever be damned. Trust me."

After parting and trying to change the subject, things didn’t work out that way, his first clue was a whimper—a small and delicate sound that nearly left him frozen. His next sign was the brief silence that echoed around them from the shield of the car door, she was either upset or happy—and since he was too surprised to read into the kiss more than his impulsive behavior and being initiated by him that she was most likely unsure. He was unsure. By the time he saw some form of movement, he noted the violet eyes and the fire lit inside of them. His first thought was that she was angry, but he was mistaken and gladly so.

Evangeline had made a move towards him, he looped his arms around her dainty waist the moment she brought her lips to his. She was quite short but her stature did not stop him from leaning down into the show of affection—temporary or not he didn’t want to interrupt it. He felt a tingling sensation zip through his body, almost as if a jolt jarred his body to have him cast aside and act on instinct. The whole process was sudden and not thought out, not particularly new considering everything he had done since meeting Evangeline was the whimsical chance of an urge. The only thing he thought of was taking them to meet with Blake and Larkin, of course that was far from on his mind currently. His mind evolved around a single entity, similar to that of one orbiting the sun—Evangeline currently reigning as his sun.

"Funny, you look a lot younger," spoke Ordan before winching. Not at the pain in his head, more at what he said which he'd meant as a compliment. Unfortunately it came out somewhat sarcastic and possibly rude. The alpha sighed as Eden continued speaking, saying how she liked him for who he was and didn't care if he went blind, deaf or even became mute. She continued before he could speak, her voice becoming angrier, at least it seemed that way to him as she spoke of liking him for him, not for the power he held as an alpha. "I am aware you can hunt for the pack and take care of yourself," said Ordan. "However, it is my job as alpha to provide for and protect the pack as well as see to your various needs and...no that's Silvia's job," he muttered the last part to himself.

Ordan forced himself to sit up, twisting his body to prop the pillows up so he could be a bit comfortable as Eden went on with her words. A sigh escaped Ordan as she spoke on what she liked about him, his features twisting into a grimace as she spoke of him stuttering and being flustered. Well you're certainly doing that, he thought to himself. Actually, losing his voice might not be a bad idea. Except then he would only have Achilles for company. Looking up at the ceiling again, then at his food, he could see it was spaghetti. He then looked at Eden, noticing her shaking and her face red. "It's not your fault I fainted," Ordan insisted. "I..." his features then twisted into a frown as he cut himself off. "Regardless...damnit Eden I'm vulnerable like this!" He gestured widely towards the eyepatch covering his right eye. "I tried earlier...I tried and my aim is completely off with this...thing on! I have...have no peripheral vision right now in this eye since I can't..." Ordan inhaled and exhaled to try to get himself under control, to get his thoughts in order. "Any rogue could potentially exploit this weakness...exploit...your feelings for me...exploit the pack to take control! Jaehwa's nice...you can get with him or find another wolf here maybe to take care of you. I lose my sight...I lose my hearing...I won't be able to protect you...or anybody in this pack and will be utterly useless!" I lose my sight and we're stuck like this forever...then you'll really hate me. You...Silvia...Adesina....Jaehwa... "You're just confused by...by that kiss earlier," he said.

Since Larkin took his plus one out shopping around the town, Blake debated doing the same. This was supposed to be a break after all, not just for his packmates, but for him as well. And so, he had the car stop at a shopping center on the way to the villa. Eventually, however, after just an hour of window shopping, he got terribly bored and insisted upon the driver that they leave. Larkin could call a taxi; he'd already given him the address. Blake was dragging the blood slaves with him, not really caring what the others did, but determined to not let the two that cost him so much money get away in a foreign state. If Rhea and/or Oliver were with him still, he didn't care.

"Take us to the villa," Blake instructed the driver, leaning back in the passenger seat. He glanced in the mirror every once in a while to check on the blood slaves, one of whom, who he remembered being named Eveleen, absorbed in her own thoughts at the moment. "You look sick," he commented, not giving any concern as to whether he was coming off as rude or not. "Don't throw up in the car."

Eveleen shook her head. "No, sir, I'm not sick," she assured him, looking worriedly from his sculpted features to the window again. She watched her reflection and the trees that passed by with uninterested eyes. "It's just... dulling down for me." The thrill of travel was wearing off. She was hot, sweaty, and tired from traveling. The beautiful scenery wasn't having any impact on her anymore, and, she had to admit, she was a bit saddened by that fact. Was she really so dead inside that her good emotions faded away so quickly? Perhaps she was.

The car pulled up and she was the first to get out (after the alpha, of course), desperate to stretch her legs. Blake paid the driver a bit extra to carry the bags into the foyer, which was handled without much fuss. Yawning, Eveleen took her time exploring the large estate, finding some of the excitement she felt upon their landing returning to her again. It dissipated just as quickly, though, and she soon settled down and headed to the beach. Finding himself bored determining who would get what room, he decided to let it be first-come, first-serve, and put on a pair of swim trunks before making way to the pool. What was the point of having a pool when the beach was so close? He didn't know, but he didn't want sand in his trousers.

Eden closed her hands into fists and rested her in her lap as she listened to him, her eyes glistening with moisture but she kept her resolve strong. As he continued to speak and tried to pass of this as her being 'effected' by the kiss, she finally blew a gasket. "Just stop!" She exclaimed, her body stilling and her face expressing hurt. "Sure! I loved kissing you! But that has nothing to do with this! I originally wanted to talk to you so I could confess, so no, the kiss has nothing to with anything of this." Eden snapped, shoving herself out of her chair, emotions swirling in her mind. She was having trouble containing them and by God, she was definitely struggling. Storming closer to the bed, she pointed at him angrily. "Even if you do go blind in one eye, your other senses will make up for it, so don't pull that with me; I had a brother who was blind but could damn near make a bullseye with a bow and arrow! And your pack is here to support, not to criticize in a moment of struggle; we're here for you, and everyone else. We're all a team."

Her eyes were now filling with shimmering tears but she forced herself to not let them drop. "Jae obviously likes someone else, besides, I don't like him that way; he's a sweet man, but I don't feel that way about him. I feel that way about you!" Growling in irritation, she pressed her hand against her forehead and rubbed her temples. "You said that your wolf was the one that kissed me earlier?" She muttered, glancing down at him before doing something incredibly..stupid and mostly based on her emotions to prove a point. Moving to the side of the bed, Eden plopped herself down next to him, her jaw set stubbornly. "Well, you're you now."

Reaching up, Eden grabbed his cheeks carefully but firmly and leaned up, pressing her lips against his to prove her point, knowing that this was Ordan and not his wolf. Her touch was gentle yet expressed her true emotions; she really did care for the Alpha and nobody would ever compete with him in her eyes.

Evangeline shuddered lightly as he responded, his arms slipping around her. Everything else around them seemed to just slip away and was replaced by nothing but the two young vampires. After holding the kiss for a few further moments, the female slowly pulled away, her breath mingling with Silas'. Her violet eyes slowly opened and she lifted her gaze up to his brown one. "I would say there is definitely an attraction here," she joked lightly, still a bit weak in the knees from the heart-throbbing kiss. Letting herself go flat footed once more, she slid her hands to his shoulders, her features completely red. She opened her lips to say something, but ended up laughing, throwing herself at Silas and hugged him.

The young female hadn't ever been kissed like that, and in her opinion, it was the best one yet. She buried her face into his shirt with a smile. "So, about those local tourist attractions?" Evangeline murmured against his chest, her eyes closing briefly as she enjoyed his arms around her.

Turning the steaks over again, Zumitri let the kid talk. As he listened to Xen talk, Zumitri couldn't figure out what he was. If he was a werewolf or a vampire, he might not know of his abilities which could prove dangerous for the packs and the humans within Ithawell. He knew well how a rogue werewolf could get...he'd had a hard time with Ordan. But he couldn't be sure this kid was a supernatural at all. Shaking his head, Zumitri thought of something to say. "How can you be so sure that you won't be caught? You cannot live on the streets forever," Zumitri said. "And I'm guessing you don't go to school. That will make it hard to get a job and secure a future."

Ordan was taken aback at Eden raising her voice and flinched. In the time since he'd known her, which he admitted was little, he had never known the motherly female to raise her voice. The shouting at him stunned him into silence as he just stared at her, allowing her to speak, unsure what to say. Her face was angry and if he looked hard enough, he could see tears in her eyes. She got up and came towards him, hands balled into fists as she spoke of the kiss having nothing to do with her liking him, how she wanted to confess her feelings to him and that was why she had called him to her suite to talk to him. "And I should never have burst into your room without knocking," said Ordan apologetically, yet it seemed that did not matter for she sat on the edge of his bed, causing him to turn slightly so he could see her. What happened next he did not expect.

Eden rejected his offer of her getting with Jaehwa, mentioning that he obviously liked someone else. Probably Silvia with the way he dances around her, Ordan thought to himself, for once an amused smile coming to his face. He didn't expect that the...young man he saw as a...a friend...could possibly like someone other than Silvia. As long as Jaehwa was happy and was treated right by whoever wanted him...and didn't threaten his pack, the alpha didn't care. That went for everyone but still...he couldn't make head nor tails of Eden's confession. "Eden what..." Ordan started as she sat on the bed, talking of him mentioning Achilles had kissed her. Ah...fuck I mentioned that did I? "Yes..." Ordan said, confusion evident in his voice, not sure where this was going. She took his face in her hands and stared at him before leaning towards him. Before he could even register what was happening or make any movement to push her away or move himself from her, her lips were on his, the tears still in her eyes.

Ordan was so confused and surprised that he didn't move. He truthfully wasn't sure why he was allowing her to kiss him, his body tensing at the contact. Ordan couldn't help it...he hadn't been with a woman like this since Clover...and that hadn't lasted. She hadn't been able to deal with him going to the military. Why was Eden different? Was it because she was a werewolf? Would that end up changing if he found...no...when he found a cure and turned her and the rest of the pack back to human? Well it certainly would if he did what he had spoken to Zumitri about concerning Jaehwa and took away their memories of this life...of them being werewolves. "...E...Eden..s...st..stop," he breathed, his voice coming out strangled. Ordan was entirely in control, his wolf had not woken yet but this...this was...well it was confusing! He wasn't sure what he felt or how he felt. What he did know was things could go seriously bad, or at least he thought so, if anyone else came into his suite. Yet the kiss seemed sincere and with love...something Ordan did not expect...had not felt in years. Still..."Eden..." He tried to think of something to say...eventually settling for pushing the hunter away from him...unfortunately for Ordan his mind seemed to have other thoughts for instead his hands came up and tightened on Eden's arms, the alpha returning the woman's kiss, his mind otherwise shutting down on nothing but this and necessary commands to his organs to keep him alive. Did he love her? Ordan wasn't sure. Did he like her? Yes...she was nice and it was amusing and sweet how she cared.

As the kids continued, and enraptured Silas’ time conveniently he had been caught up in the moment and didn’t plan on pulling away until she did it first. When she did, he couldn’t help but find him trying to take in air he didn’t need, he was breathless as a vampire—a being which didn’t require air or breathing. As she talked, and teased he could feel her own exhales brushing across his face briefly. Closing his eyes to regain himself he couldn’t help the grin forming on his face as he held his arms loosely around her waist. When his eyes met hers, he wasn’t sure if he’d try and kiss her again or just melt to the floor—as cringey and cliche and over dramatic that was, it was the only true way to describe the feeling she evoked. “Yes, there does seem to be an attraction right here,” he observed.

When she came close to him and held herself against his chest, he shifted his arms to hold her in a hug, brown eyes glimmering. Silas could already feel his chest rumbling from amusement at her next inquiry, grin ever lasting on his face. “Mmm, I hear there are many beaches—a private one here and then there are turtle or dolphin beaches, there are places to shop,”he started with easy things as he slowly dragged the list out while one of his hands toyed with a piece of her hair. He hadn’t acted out so impulsively before to kiss someone, having found barely any relationships within his life. He was always on the run even after Lichen brought him in, only finding himself relaxed because of recent activities. Though as he kept her close, he tipped his head down to rest his chin on top of the crown of her head, taking a moment to relish in her scent she provided. He was a wolf but his nose still enjoyed it, the soft lavender that swirled with different scents she carried, it was relaxing and soothing.
