Alice
scorpiodragon scorpiodragon

Alice, Keen and determined to her task of being free continues to try desperately with her seemingly endless knife she uses to work her way against the chain on her neck "CHINK! Chink! CHINK!" The knife hits against the metal loudly and in a way annoyingly as she felt slowly more and more tired and more and more cold as she shivers a bit. Hearing a male in the distance she stopped her progress on the heavy Chain and instead draws out her knife in a defensive position and growls slightly to try to seem fierce and intimidatingly " where are you? Show yourself creature !" She demands as she starts to smell the scent of a wolfie making her free hand cover her nose from the strong and distinct odor as she places her back to the wall she was chained to " blehhhhh is that a werewolfie?" She plugs up her nose a bit as his scent she hasn't gotten used to. Hearing the questions of the male voice she at least let's him have his answer " I can get out of this prison eventually ... brrr it.. brrrr it just takes time" her fingers start to get frostbite as she knows she may not make it out alone ... " I was suspected of being a .. I think he called it blood order but I don't know what it was or is. He killed my ...master and I .. I stabbed him .. he won't last long untreated.. " her voice fades as she felt sad from that dreadful experience of seeing her master perish. Shouting she forcefully drove her knife deep into the chain and as her knife broke , making her scream in pain with her hand shaking uncontrollably her chain was broken. Leaving her with what seems now to be a iron collar and chain leash on her. " OWWWWWW THAT HURT!!! Owwie.. " she holds onto her hand as the knife as always regenerates back at the same spot, she looks to the werewolf as she thinks and knows his fur is the only thing capable of keeping her warm throughout the night but what will she have to pay for such a luxury ...

Icarus
Location: Dungeons, Custos
Odd one for prey, thought Icarus to himself as she attempted to growl at him. He listened as there was the annoying sound, seeming more loud within the dungeons deep underground, before it stopped. "That's more frightening and impressive on a supernatural so I take it you are simply a human then," said Icarus lazily. As the girl stubbornly insisted she could get out of the prison, the male chuckled. "Maybe out of the cell but you won't get through the door nor through the maze of tunnels underneath," said Icarus. He'd tried...for one thing the door had no handle on the inside and was purposely sealed in such a manner to keep the prisoners in...if they did get out then there was the maze of twists and turns that would confuse the senses and disorient the victim.

"Stop that, it's annoying," he said, meaning the trying to saw through the metal chain or whatever she was doing. The girl did not stop though and after some time there was the clattering of a chain on the floor. Persistent little thing, he thought to himself as he listened to the girl scream in pain. "That's why little children shouldn't play with things they don't understand at all." Hearing that the Custos alpha had murdered, an apparent human, was surprising and it showed on his face within the darkness. Moving away from the door, he listened as she called him a wolf, but he had been entertained in watching her try to get free. "Hmm...that wolf would only do so if he felt the person was a danger to his pack. But did you ever think missy that your so called master wanted for his life to end? Sometimes death can be the only freedom one has against the cruel world and the demons they suffer to contend with within their minds." As he heard about the girl being charged with being a member of the Blood Order, his eyes narrowed as he considered the information...well that would explain then why the girl had been chained up and brought here.

"The Blood Order," he said slowly. "Yes...people like you usually join that to kill those you don't understand and fear...with good reason I suppose...and perhaps..." he frowned to himself and shook his head, laughing as she called him a werwolfie. Her language was that of a toddler or other small child not yet used to full sentences but after being locked up for who knew how long, it was refreshing to hear. "So...you have unknowingly and perhaps stupidly sentenced yourself to death...at Ordan's convenience," said Icarus slowly, "and ah...not precisely a wolf." Moving in a circle around the center of his cell, Icarus walked back to the door and concentrated, before forcing the door open where the lock was, causing it to move and the padlock to crumple with the impact before falling to the ground. Shaking out his hand, he pressed on the door again in the same spot, forcing the lock to move and then walked out, heading across the hall to the girl's cell and peering through the metal grate at her, bluish-gray eyes staring at white hair. "You're going to freeze to death like that...really, one would think people would dress better for the weather...though this isn't exactly a five star hotel."

She was partly correct on him but he was...ah what was the word? Oh yes...one of those abominations that had been wiped out of existence. Not that Ordan knew that, the alpha of Custos just thought he was a regular werewolf who had broken into his home and hunted on his land who refused to join his pack and became a general nuisance. It probably didn't help matters that he had tried attacking the alpha either when his prey had gotten away. Icarus reached out and undid the lock, pulling open the door moments later though if Ordan were right and she were a member of the Blood Order, his life was also in danger. But his life would be in danger anyway, should the Custos alpha find out what he really was. Well...if she suspected he was a wolf and wanted to believe that to help her sleep at night...that was fine with him. He began shifting, not exactly having the right clothing on at the moment anyway despite his increased body temperature which he'd found supernaturals to have...probably an adaptation to survive...into a ink-stained wolf with yellow eyes that stared piercingly at her through the darkness.

Whining softly at her hands she didn't really listen to what the male had to say to her as she was more focused on the pain and wiggles her hand the pain away, the pain still in her wrists and hand she whines and whimpers as she started listening to what he was saying about sentencing to death she whines and whimpers about it " ow... i did not sentence myself to death you Baka! He just assumed I was a blood order and went out to kill me... ow that hurts ..." she sees bruises and sore wrists as it will take a while to heal. Her dress all cold and muddy making it hard to warm herself up as she saw him looking at her out of her door, shivering nervously she started to walk towards him as well and come face to face with him " I... I didn't ask to die here wolfy.... c-can you please just... let me warm up on your fur... I won't be any trouble ... pllleeeaassseee .." she begs him as she shivers still and feels super cold, getting minor hypothermia as she is too tired to break down the door on her own.

Hmmph...luckily for you girl we have thick pelts and high body temperatures. He watched as the girl approached him, no fear in her gaze, body shivering from cold. Pleading with him to let her snuggle up with him, the wolf continuing to stare at her wordlessly. Of course he was unable to reply. His eyes went to the girl’s neck...the dangerous creature had not fed either in months and was feeling the effects. Hugging out a laugh as she called him stupid, he finally nodded his head before flopping down on the ground...it wasn’t like Ordan would. One back anyway with being injured, the alpha rarely came down here. Only when there seemed to be prisoners.

Unfortunately for her she has no idea of Icarus eyeing her pure, untainted neck as she gently walks to the wolf that laid down, towering over the creature hesitantly as she looks down at him " I um..this is kinda awkward... " she says nervously as she lowers herself to him and cuddles close to his chest, wrapping her arms and rubbing her legs to him for maximum warmth as she tries to get as warm as possible" my... my name is Alice..." she stays awake for the meantime as she stays very weary of the beast, not fully trusting him but definitely needing him to survive so she plays her good side mood. Her wounded and bruised hands delicately laid on him as she tried to be gentle with the creature , nuzzling to his neck. Icarus was not the only one that was hungry as soon after a stomach rumbling came from her as she looks up at him apologetically " s-sorry... I forgot to eat today..." her stomach will soon start to hurt if not given enough food to sustain herself.

Silvia A. Brandt
Location: Dungeons, First Floor, Custos
Interaction: Audrey (mentioned) Ordan scorpiodragon scorpiodragon , Jaehwa Kipsy Kipsy , Adesina Eliruz Eliruz

The once doctor stood tall before rushing to help Jaehwa, his strength would be helpful but she knew she couldn’t be as skillfully strong like most people. Silvia was rushing by the time another person came forward, her body was quick—too quick for Silvia to point out who or what it was. When Adesina came and spoke she understood she might be a pack member. Silvia hadn’t been around long enough to know everyone and she thought it was just Jae and Ordan. She hesitated, letting Jaehwa be consoled by his pack member before backing away.

Twisting her hands together she worried about the woman above, having left her with the other strangers who went with her. Silvia was unsure of herself as the quick female talked with Jaehwa until she heard Ordan speak. His voice wasn’t his own but she greedily listened as he filled her with information. She agreed, she would have to cut the wound and affected flesh out if he was poisoned, and the bullets would have to be dug out before they broke into shards or moved too deeply in. Huffing she waited as this thing spoke through Ordan, thankful for the easy recounts of the information given to her—the process would be quicker now that she knew what to do. She hadn’t to help the woman upstairs still, her being the major risk within the building. She would have to send someone out to find blood—lots of it.

Silvia has been told what she was from the woman and how the c section wasn’t actually a c section, it was the bay ripping itself out. She was in a phase of ask questions later and act now. The silvery grey haired female bolted when she realized she wasn’t needed, her legs launching her tired growing body up the stairs and out into the house. She was quick, and able body so she was rushing through the house towards the lingering scent of death that oozed from the healers room. That woman couldn’t die—not yet. She wouldn’t let her die and leave her children behind, there had to be a twin somewhere but she wasn’t sure where.

She was abandoned. Silvia knew all to well what complications during birth meant. She had lost her mother when her brother was born, the youngest and last child. She lost someone and never got anything like her back—and she lost that brother too. She knew how the child would feel, loosing a sibling and then a mother...but on a maternal level she had raised her little brother—he was like her son so when he died in surgery she was quick to grow angry and depressed. Loosing someone so close get so far away was difficult so she emphasized with the woman in some way.

Larkin A. Andley
Location: Outskirts, Ithawel
Interaction: Blake Kipsy Kipsy

The male vampire was quick to nod his head, bobbing it up and down as Blake informed him. The blonde themed brute turned away from the flames, allowing it to shadow his face and light his back up. Larkin was silent as he contemplated his own children, Theron and Annalise—his two very unique little monsters. He could recall both of their births, each a surprise. It was hard having children, and to have two in one life time was a generous thing he could never have hoped to have. Having life grow within a vampire is dangerous yet a joyous thing. His first child was a danger more than a happy bit of news.

Clearing his throat, he recalled Analise’s mother, she was human—and ended up pregnant before he could turn her. He had decided early on after the second war he fought in that he’d settle down but it didn’t seem to go that way. He had many encounters and many times to get over his past love affairs, his children being the biggest loves and marks of his lifetime.

Yes, sir,” concluded a little relieved from the news of the child being left alone. Larkin was confident that the child would be unharmed but they would use it and the mother to track Boreal down. “Alright then shall we?” he concluded, sweeping his arm out for Blake to take the first step, “the rain will put this out for us,” he mused.

The Warrior kept a steady pace, giving healer an encouraging smile. "Everything is going to be okay," she said to her before she ran off to get things prepared. Focusing on getting the large Alpha upstairs, she looked towards Jae. "When we get to the stairs, I need you to move quickly but carefully. Can you do that?" She asked and shifted, lifting more weight from Jae's shoulders. Adesina could tell the stairs were just around the corner. Breathing in, she turned the corner and there lied the stairs. With carefulness and a picked up pace, she began scaling the stairs with Jae, going at a pace that Jae could keep up with.

The stench of poison hit her nose and she looked down at his back. "This is bad.." She whispered before finally making it to the top. "Okay, we need to get him to the Medical room."

Adesina led Jae to the healing room, finding an empty bed. "We need to lay him with the wound up," she instructed before easing him down carefully onto his good side.

Nodding, Jaehwa adjusted his hold for a better grip on Ordan. "I can do that," he assured Adesina. When they got to the staircase, he pushed himself as much as he could, trying to move as swiftly as possible without putting the alpha at risk. It was difficult but he managed, and it wasn't long before they'd conquered the stairs.

Heading through the halls, Jaehwa kept up his speedy pace, concern stricken across his features. He caught sight of the woman holding the baby outside of the healing room, but didn't feel up to providing an explanation. Upon entering the room, he assisted Adesina in laying Ordan properly down on one of the open beds, his eyes drifting from the alpha to the injured woman. He couldn't help but wonder why things had gone so wrong so quickly today.

His brain reminded him that he'd promised to get the baby some formula; backing out of the room, Jaehwa made his way to the kitchen. There, he prepared a bottle. None of these things had ever been used before, for no one in Custos had any babies yet. Still, he had done his fair share of reading up on the taking care of children. In part, he looked forward to when Custos would have kids to look after; that excitement had compelled him to research and learn all he could before that day finally came. He never expected his still somewhat limited knowledge to be put to the test this early.

Bottle in hand, Jaehwa returned towards the healing room, stopping at the door in front of the one holding the baby. "Here," he said, holding it out so she could take it from him. "I hope I mixed it right." The corners of his lips quirked up at the sight of the child and he waved playfully at her. How was it possible for something to be so cute?

Icarus

The unknown hybrid, a dangerous combination between two of the supernaturals that had competed for centuries from what history he had learned, listened as the female spoke of this being awkward for her and huffed again. Did she really think this was easy for him either, to have something so warm and ready at his disposal? He wanted nothing more than to bite into her neck and drain her dry, maybe partake in her flesh as well. The hunger for blood and fresh raw meat made his kind more of a danger than the other supernaturals put together, driven mad by hunger for blood and meat, the desire to kill and feast, to hurt...maim...torture the prey...the wolf began salivating at the thought of it. His jowls opened as saliva began dripping down onto the floor at his paws, ears twitching at the girl's rumbling stomach that protested her own hunger as she apologized, saying she hadn't eaten yet today and the wolf shaking his head as he looked at her. The girl didn't know hunger...not the way a supernatural did.

Icarus huffed again as the girl wrapped her arms around herself as she cuddled into his chest, Icarus again focusing on the girl's neck as she introduced herself and tried to get warm. The wolf lifted his upper body up before pushing the girl down on the floor with a quick shove of his head and settling back down on her. Allowing his fur and body heat to warm the girl, he laid his head down on his paws so his neck was resting on her body, stretched out like an oversized dog in the corridor between the cells, staring at the girl's cell and the broken ropes. The Custos alpha must not have seen her as much of a threat here within the dungeons, knowing she wouldn't get out. It didn't matter, the girl wouldn't survive here...everything about her screamed she was weak and not just because she was a human but she just exhibited this aura of naivety and childish nature.

When the girl seemed warm enough, Icarus rumbled at her name before shifting back again into his human form so he could talk.
"Icarus," said the vaewolf. "Obviously I'm not human like you are...as long as you don't try to kill or harm me we won't have any problems though neither of us are in a position to be making demands are we? Unfortunately whether you eat depends entirely on when and if we are fed by the Custos wolf...he rarely comes down here and hasn't fed me since I've been here...probably because I stole some food from his house when the place was under construction. I doubt his pack knows of my existence. We are given water though...it's enough to keep us alive every three days so I hope you're used to hunger and thirst." He would not say anything more unless he was asked, though talking certainly took his mind off how he wanted to kill something. "Your hair looks like fallen snow," he said after a bit. It was a lame thing to say but it was the only thing he could say to not keep looking at the girl's neck that was rather too close for comfort...when it would only take a little bite to get his fangs in her.

Ordan
Location: Dungeons to Healing Room
Letting himself be hauled through the twisting passages to the door that barred the entrance to dungeon passages, they would find themselves in a short hallway that led in two directions, one to the slave quarters on the right, the other to the left leading to the recreation room. Achilles huffed as he heard the warrior mutter something about his back not being good, the alpha turning his head but unable to see over his shoulder as he staggered, his head swimming. He was taken up to the healing room on the first floor after a long climb up two sets of stairs and set down on a bed, the wolf scenting many others within his house and growled as he scented the smell of vampire...and not the vampire that was part of his pack either but the one bleeding to death...that must be the one that had her child ripping out of her from earlier. Achilles could hear the vampire's beating heart fluctuating in rhythm. The omega soon left, disappearing out into the hallway and vanished towards the kitchen.

Wonderful time for a snack, Achilles thought sarcastically "Why is there a vampire not in my pack bleeding to death?" Ordan growled out, the wolf's eyes turning back to brown as his head swam before him. He tried to turn his head to face her but it just made the room spin and the alpha groaned, putting a hand to his forehead and closed his eyes though he thought he recognized the scent. The fact that he was pretty sure it was the same rogue vampire that he had chased off and threatened to kill if she ever hunted on his territory again only made the alpha furious. Really, his healer had ended up wasting resources for that?!

"Don't bother with anesthesia...just start cutting the tissue and nerves out," growled Ordan, not particularly caring if the vampire bleeding out died or not. "I've never done well with anesthesia being given to me...nearly died once from it."

Rhea & Oliver
Location: Lichen Asylum
The half-siblings, one vampire and one werewolf, were lounging within the living room, both sipping from wine glasses though one was filled with white wine while the other was filled with fox blood. The fox had a musky scent which was evident in the blood but they didn't have any blood slaves that the dark-skinned woman had noticed in their time within the pack. Both had not arrived for whatever discussion their alpha had with Larkin, the siblings having been sleeping and only having gotten up after the alpha had disappeared the second time. They didn't see the beta at all, another werewolf and female that one their alpha's wife but the pair were playing a game of goldfish with each other out of boredom, likely retiring to their rooms again come morning. One might wonder how they were half-siblings at all with being different races and the truth was their father was a vampire who had two different mates at the same time, one a vampire and one a werewolf, though had sired the werewolf child while human, only to be turned into a vampire out of revenge three months after siring Rhea. Sometime after he had been turned, he had sired Oliver with an older vampire and they'd had a nice family dynamic until the three parents had died, leaving the half-siblings alone when they were around fourteen. They'd left and been with Lichen ever since, going on different paths in life...Oliver being a Keeper and Rhea being a Hunter.

Blake
Shaded Shaded

Blake smirked and shook his head at Larkin's antics. "Yes, we shall," he replied in kind. His first step was slow and emphasized for his own amusement, after which he proceeded to walk normally. The rain trickled through his hair and down his face as he moved.

The path to the Custos home was not one Blake was particularly familiar with. Still, he had been watching through the window on the way there and on the way back after his meeting with that mutt of an alpha. It wouldn't be too hard to track down the estate from this distance, if only with some challenge.

With a swiftness applicable only to a vampire, Blake rushed in the direction of the Custos home, rain pelting against him. His night vision came quite in handy, allowing him to navigate with ease. It wasn't long before he'd come upon the estate, the light coming from the windows like beacons in the darkness of night. He stopped from a distance, waiting to ensure Larkin was beside him.

Blake stopped just before approaching the front door, his senses catching on to the scent of blood even amongst the heavy rainfall. "I'm glad you were right, Larkin," he said, carding his fingers through his hair in an effort to shake dry the soaked locks. It wouldn't help much in making himself more presentable, but it was the least he could do. "Let's make this quick, then."

Tyress
Tyress looked rather bemused as the woman started berating him with questions again. Was she usually like this? It would have made anyone confused enough. Then a chuckle from outside the door, Isabella had evidently been listening and said, "He's a mute. You might get his name later. Audrey is a vampire, although I'm not sure what her blood type is." Tyress let out a small sigh of relief as Isabella answered the more pressing questions. Although he was quite disgruntled at being ordered around, and raised his eyebrows when he was threatened, he took it as consideration for the girl, whom the lady had said was Audrey, as followed her instructions as best as he could, without actually killing her. She had lost quite a bit of blood though, and it didn't seem like she was getting more soon.

Then suddenly the girl rushed out, leaving him in charge of Audrey. What was she thinking? Audrey wasn't going to heal on her own? However, he stayed, and continued to follow instructions, although more tentatively now.

Isabella walked back in as the other had rushed out, staring at Audrey's pale face. Then he heard a whisper escape from Audrey's lips. Being half-vampire, his hearing was much better than normal, and just managed to identify the words she whispered. Something like... Malati? No, more like Malachi... and monster.... he saw that Isabella had also seen her whisper, and crouched down to hear better. Her next words that Isabella mumbled were exactly what he was thinking about at the moment, "Malachi? Who's Malachi? And why is he a monster?"

She had already returned upstairs before the other three did, her hands brushing over the mother’s forehead before rushing over to a free bed. She scooped up some much needed tools and materials before setting them up again. Her brow was furrowed while her eyes faded back to blue. The newly bitten werewolf was under stress, her eyes flickering back and forth as her wariness sunk in, she didn’t really know what was wrong with her. She was stressed out and tired, she was working hard and being ordered around was not something she was in the mood for. That’s why when Ordan began snapping at her and growling that she did it right back. He had only been back for a few seconds and he was driving her crazy.

Oh shut up, or maybe I’ll leave you here to rot!” she hissed out of frustration, “Unlike you, I kill. I save lives and if you don’t like that, well then why have a healer in the first place? What kind of fool expects someone like a healer or doctor or nurse to just—just not save lives?” she began rambling, her voice increasing until she remembered the baby. Quieting herself down, her fight in her was dying out, “I don’t care anymore, just shut up and let me fix you, complain and do whatever you want later—I obviously have no time to deal with your moods,” she started gently this time, though sarcasm slipped in.

Ignoring everything else said, she began examining him, fingers delicately working on the back area where there was a black ooze spreading, and she began noticing the swelling of blood and inflamed skin. “This might sting—“ she grunted, “—but you are heavy,” she groaned before resting him on his side so that the blood would pool out. It was infected and destroy his body if it stayed inside any longer. Another blood transfusion would be needed. Taking her scalpel, she looked hesitantly over to Ordan before beginning to take out the infected skin.

It took her a while, getting out all of the blackened skin before applying pressure to each. She would have to keep pressure on each wound, and without the time to do so she turned to the woman from before, “Hold his back, don’t let him move or disrupt it,” she informed reaching down onto the ground to grab some gauze. If the woman had obeyed the slight command she would nod gratefully but if not she would have to hussle her way through and wrap his torso and back up with difficulty.

Once he was wrapped up, she left him. The bullets would wait, she had ranted to the mute male to help the woman—Audrey. Moving swiftly over to the mute she had calmed considerably, now a tired look wiped across her face as she wiped at her face before retching it away—the blood on her hands smearing on her face. Sighing she strode towards the mute, “I’m sorry, you can go relax now, I can help her from here. Unless you two can get me some blood for her—and if you can could you get some for the knuckle head?” she murmured checking over the woman’s stomach. She would have visible scarring, but the thread would have to be pulled out once the skin healed. She would be stable—she was also proud her work under pressure was solid and unwavering.

Silvia grabbed the gauze used on Ordan, the left over part still wrapped up, and began to lightly loop it under her torso before continuing the pace to go over her stomach. It’d be sore but she would be alright. “Thank you for helping,” she concluded towards the mute before turning away. She hadn’t learned his name and was sad to say she wouldn’t need it. Moving away from the woman she jumped back to Ordan, trying to locate the bullets. It wasn’t quite tedious yet but as she kept looking over her shoulder towards Audrey carefully, she would wonder and check occasionally if the girl was doing alright.

You want to know why I helped her?” she asked Ordan, he was awake and not drugged up—he was probably getting snippy again and unhappy with her progress but she felt like she should explain it...even if she was working. When doing surgeries she was a chatter box, she had to be to distract herself from messing up. “She had a baby, it reminded me of my brother,” she advised not caring if anyone listened or if no one listened—she needed to speak to someone or just say it out loud and admit it. She was calming down, now lives were no longer at risk completely.

Shaking her head she peaked over at Ordan, “I figured you’d be mad, though don’t think I wouldn't do it again if I had another shot—I’d do the same thing if things were reversed, had the most annoying person been dying at the doorstep—such as yourself—I would have brought you in against anyone’s better judgement, I might be a monster now but...that doesn’t stop me from saving other people who are okay with what they are,” she concluded before shaking her head again, “But you don’t care,” she finished. She had actually finished digging for the bullets, using a talking tactic of hers to distract him from focusing on what she was doing while letting her fingers press against his shoulder blade to examine a knife wound.

I’m sorry,” she turned away wiping her hands on her pants before looking around, “You need that arm looked at, I didn’t notice before—an easy fix,” she advised. She was jumpy all over the place, one patient to the next. Ordan would be fine, just a blood transfusion which could wait a day or two, Audrey was nearly dying but not quite there in that phase yet, the baby seemed fine, and there weren’t too many other injuries. Running her hands through her hair she looked everyone remaining in the room over.

I’ll check you all out, one at a time...”

Larkin A. Andley
Location: Outskirts to Custos
Interaction: Blake

The blonde haired male followed behind his alpha, amused when Blake jokingly followed suit. Larkin was just as fast, if not faster than Blake—it was hard to tell sometimes when he ran if he was there at all if didn’t have bright colors on. The water darkened and soaked his clothes, the sweat being drenched and his once golden blonde locks curled into dark brown hues. He too skidded to a stop after running along with Blake, his blue eyes glimmering brightly in contrast to the darker appearances.

He ran a hand through his hair, dragging out the rain that dribbled down his hairline to his chin with a sweep of his hair. The water dropped down him, a rather interesting sight considering he appeared a little disheveled at first look. Looking to Blake he nodded his head—first thing he smelt was wolves. There were enough wolves to be considered an all wolf pack but he knew that might not be true with the overwhelming smell of vampire lingering in the air. He picked out her scent immediately, the familiar growing scent of the mother’s blood seeped into his nostrils as he approached the porch like area.

Of course, sir,” he offered, “Want me to bring the house down? Maybe a knock would be sufficient,” he concluded instead, mouth quirking up in a smile as he began leaning against the wall besides the door. His blue eyes looking over the broad door, hands left in his pockets now as his disheveled mess of blonde hair curled up on itself.

Adesina had grown pretty used to the smell and temptation of blood, so the stench didn't really bother. Her eyes gazed upon the frustrated female werewolf and sympathized for her; being newly turned caused a lot of stress on not only the one turned, but also the ones around her. The female warrior nodded, moving forward and obeying the command from the healer; the Alpha wasn't as heavy to her as she was to the healer, so she was glad she could help out. Her grip was tight, but not too tight, as she didn't want to leave bruises unless necessary. She held him steady, not allowing him to move an inch until the healer was finished wrapping him up. It was quite fascinating to watch, her nimble and slender fingers at work; it amazed her how someone who'd been under so much stress could easily work with a wound.

As the female moved onto locating the bullets, taking care of everything else, Sina made sure he didn't move for the fact of if he did, it would cause pain and mess the healer's work up entirely. Her eyes widened a bit as the female began going on, rambling furiously about what she pieced together as the fact that she'd brought a Rogue onto the premise to help and aide them. Furrowing her brow, she continued to listen, her heart aching; she wanted to reach out to her but didn't know how when she had so many people to take care of.

After Ordan was taken care of, she carefully helped him relax into a more comfortable position before letting him go, slight red marks appearing where her grips were. She turned towards the healer and smiled warmly. "I'm here to help; whether that's making sure this one doesn't hurt himself or if you need help with gathering supplies." Adesina offered, her gaze moving across the room of people.

Eveleen
Open

Back against the wall of the holding cell, Eveleen took in the grungy appearances of the other Blood Slaves with her. They all looked beaten down, their gazes lowered and their shoulders slumped. Some were bruised in several places, others had scars. She imagined they all had lower ranked blood than her and thus weren't as prized as she was. The thought should've sickened her, but she was used to this by now.

"Item thirteen?" a brutish man called as he unlocked the cell. This was the number Eveleen had been assigned for this auction. How unlucky. She stood up, moving towards the cell door. He handcuffed her and threw a bag over her head.

Although her vision was limited (she could still make out some basic forms through the fabric), Eveleen knew where she was headed. The man locked the cell behind her and then grabbed her rather roughly, dragging her along to the stage where she would be shown off like some valuable artifact. Perhaps she should've been disturbed by this fact, but it didn't bother her nearly as much as it did all those years ago. She was used to this business by now.

Sooner rather than later, Eveleen was shoved out onto the stage. She stumbled a little, trying to catch her footing, before standing tall and proud. There wasn't a doubt in her mind that she would be the most expensive item to be bet on tonight. She wondered who her new owner would be.

A smile tugged at Blake's lips. "Of course I want you to bring the house down. How else will we get their attention?" he joked, rolling his eyes as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. Then he shook his head, lungs filling with air as he straightened his posture. He knocked, first once then twice, before standing back and waiting. Of course, he was known for being impatient, but this was one instance where he was prepared to wait without ripping someone's throat out. Hopefully.

Audrey/Ordan
Location: Healing Room, Custos
Sounds echoed around her...people moving about, a door opening and shutting, voices. The smell of blood and wolf entered the room soon after, two wolves coming into the room with the smell of another vampire though none smelled like her own pack but she recognized the scent of the one wolf with the blood, he was the wolf that had threatened her months before. Audrey shuddered at the wolf's violent words and then the stranger from before had ended up making his way to her again, the alpha soon coming back and she turned her head slightly to look at her daughter and the bottle in the female alpha wolf's hand, her own alpha. Leaning down towards her, she could hear Isabella question her on who Malachi was and why he was a monster. She shook her head at that, her son was no monster. No, the monster was that person who had taken her son from her as she lay bleeding out, ignoring her daughter. "Nisha's...twin brother," said Audrey, gesturing towards her daughter. "My son...not monster. No...monster...monster the person that took him f..f...from...me a...after he was born," Audrey choked out.

The girl fell silent as the medic rushed back into the room and some short time later, the alpha of Custos coming in and demanding to know why she was bleeding to death in his house. "Not choose this wolf," said Audrey. "Would have never come here...if pesky prey hadn't tried following me...if alpha hadn't disappeared on a whim...."

"You obviously did a piss poor job when your actions are causing trouble for us...and I believe I told you before I'd kill you the next time you tried hunting on my territory."

"Ithawell is neutral ground as you well know," growled Audrey, her eyes flashing before Nisha's wailing got her attention and the girl attempted to sush Nisha which was a fruitless endeavor with her being injured and being unable to hold her daughter, though it might also have been talk of her twin for all Audrey knew. "And I didn't hunt on your territory this time. B-," said Audrey after somehow processing the late answer to the earlier question of her blood type.

It was lucky for Audrey that Ordan was injured and both were on the verge of death to avoid killing each other at that moment or at least Ordan trying to kill Audrey. The vampire warrior, Adesina, held onto him at Silvia's command, the two female pack members turning him over so he was on side, the alpha positively glaring death at Audrey as Silvia began cutting into his back, taking out the blackened flesh and any nerves that had been affected by the tainted knife that Achilles had scented only after he'd been stabbed. The alpha's eyes ended up closing and he fell silent, that was until Silva answered his question and began ranting, saying that she would save anyone who came to the door injured, even those who were annoying and referred to him as such. The alpha turned his eyes on Silvia instead as she finished digging out the bullets, Adesina continuing to hold him still so he couldn't move, bandages being wrapped around his torso to keep him from moving. In addition any broken bones were broken and reset again, the alpha not making any noise until Adesina helped him into a sitting position.

Audrey let the healer work on her, feeling grateful to Silvia for doing so when she wasn't of her pack and a different species. She could smell the woman was a wolf and seemed overwhelmed, perhaps she was a new member of the pack. "Th...thank you," said Audrey as Silvia ended up working on her though Audrey could say she was feeling faint and was worried about her child...both her children and again her guilt over not protecting her son ended up overwhelming her. The girl ended up passing out soon after, exhausted from the surgery and her labor. She would need blood and rest to recover but the mental damage might be harder to heal which could potentially slow her healing.

Ordan grunted something under his breath but it was hard to make out what it was as he closed his eyes. "As soon as these guests are well enough, I want them off my territory and back wherever they came from," he growled. "Blake's looking for you Isabella," Ordan said without looking at the Boreal alpha, the wolf recognizing her from a picture he'd come upon when searching for information about these other two packs. He did not mention if he had found Alice nor of what had happened to get him injured and near death. That would be a discussion for later when strangers were out of the house. He allowed Adesina to move him to a more comfortable position, the alpha staring at the wall. "Hmmm....good job Silvia. You handle stress well it seems." Still, he would need to get more healers to help her out eventually. "I don't like trouble coming into my home Silvia," he growled.

No sooner had the alpha spoken, he distinctly heard the sound of a knock on the front door and closed his eyes in annoyance as he breathed sharply through his nose and began getting to his feet, intending on murdering whoever the heck had bothered to come visit him at such an ungodly hour of the night. Little did Ordan know he would be forced into yet another unexpected meeting soon enough with the three alphas of Ithawell.

"We need a blood slave for the vampires here," Rhea spoke up, looking over at Oliver, her brother sipping the glass of fox blood as he toyed with his cards.

"Six?"

Rhea scowled at her half-brother and passed a six over, Oliver putting it aside. It was a favorite game of their family, back when father and their mothers had been alive. "There's too many vampires here...it wouldn't last long," said Oliver as he set the glass down and then snagged his sister's glass of wine, taking a gulp of the alcohol and grinning as Rhea glared daggers at him. "I wonder where the alpha disappeared off to this time?"

Rhea shrugged. "Probably hunting or torturing something...who knows?" she said with a shrug. "Perhaps we should go buy one. Blake has money....we'll just use his."

Oliver chuckled to himself as he asked for a five and his sister told him to go fish, causing him to pull a card from the pile. "Then you can get Blake's money...and explain it to him where it went."

"It's for a good cause...you know as I well how he moans about not having a blood slave," said Rhea dismissively as she got up, finishing her wine as her half-brother threw a pillow from the couch at her, Rhea sidestepping as it hit the wall behind her. As Oliver got to his feet, draining the glass of fox blood, he watched his sister disappear upstairs to the alpha's office and settled down on the couch to wait, leaving their half-finished game untouched on the table. Rhea came by a short time later and held up the sack of coins and cash in a hand as she turned to her younger brother and left the asylum that was Lichen's home, making their way to a waiting car, both getting in and after a short game of rock, paper, scissors, Oliver won the right to drive their dad's car, the vampire backing out of the drive and then heading out of Lichen to Ithawell.

With her enhanced speed, the warrior appeared in front of Ordan with a hand carefully pressing against the Alpha's chest, a stern and concerned expression upon her features. "Ordan, you need to rest; I can handle whoever is at the door," she spoke with a tone of sterness and worry, "what if it's her...the other Alpha?" Her eyes flickered towards Audrey and she sighed. "We can't risk you getting hurt if it is him." With this, she then turned her silver gaze back to him; he was injured and in pain. If the other Alpha were to show up, it'd make things even worse but she knew she had to protect her Coven.

Adesina gave him a pleading look. "Please.." she murmured, showing a sign of respect and honor as she dipped her head slightly.

As soon as he tried getting up, Adesina was there in front of him. The woman put a hand on his chest and spoke in a stern yet concerned voice, the alpha's eyes flashing in anger as he met Adesina's gaze as she pleaded with him to remain in the bed and not move. She pointed out Audrey's alpha before correcting herself. "You see that woman holding the babe? Boreal is run by a woman...Isabella whose a werewolf like me. To my knowledge she has no mate at her side...therefore that leaves Blake...the Lichen leech," he said. He glanced around at Jaehwa who was quiet and seemed concerned about the stitched up vampire girl and her child, though the alpha had no idea why.

Ordan was not entirely pleased with being argued against...his mind went to the werewolf in the dungeons. He supposed he should feed it at some point though he wasn't inclined to go back down to the dungeons to bother doing so. Nor was he at all inclined to mention the fact that Alice was alive, lest Silvia stupidly let her out again and the girl try to kill him again. Still, she didn't have her knife. Ordan had seen the tainted thing break with his own eyes. Shaking his head to try to clear his thoughts, the alpha resisted the urge to put a hand to his forehead, the alpha rumbling to himself without comment, not liking appearing weak or the intrusions when he just wanted to sleep everything off. Adesina was attempting to be polite and respectful though, dipping her head in a manner that made her appear subservient, probably better than that vampire girl that had been healed by his healer and certainly the werewolf in the dungeons that was hidden from his pack. "Fine," said Ordan, reluctantly lying back down. "You may see to the matter and alert me if there is something that needs my attention." Ugh..he really needed another alpha or a beta. Once this was over, the alpha was retiring...the prisoner...prisoners...could wait for meals. That was...if he bothered to feed them. Maybe he would just let that girl die. That would certainly take care of one problem...then he would have to decide what to do with the werewolf. He would ask Silvia how long it would take him to heal when the Boreal members left his house.

Oliver took his time driving through the darkness even though the vampire and the werewolf could see just fine in the darkness. Oliver having night vision and Rhea infrared perception, both abilities were quite useful when the half-siblings worked together when hunting, patrolling or fighting though his sister did most of the hunting and patrolling, being she was a hunter. Oliver was happy to teach people and heal them, to pass the customs of the pack along though the half-siblings were still learning even though they had been in Lichen for several years. The drive was spent in silence between the brother and sister, the music blaring in the car though, their mother's CD of classical composers spinning in the CD player. When they got to the auction hall, they parked the car in the parking lot and walked inside, Rhea taking the keys with her as they headed in and told the receptionist they were looking for blood slaves for Lichen. The woman nodded and gave them seat numbers before they were escorted to the main room and went inside, taking seats in the front row so they could have a good view of the stock for sale.

Things calmed down, Ordan not giving her too much sass was a gift from God! Maybe she was the one giving too much sass—no it was definitely him. Moving her body to side step from running hip first into the side table, thigh bumping it and spilling a few smaller items on the ground. Silvia found herself taking the time to bend down and grab each tool, holding them gently as everything swarmed to her. She was used to working on strangers, putting their lives in her hands, and when she observed them talk she couldn’t help but listen. She emphasized in different ways—well she thought she did. She could be wrong, she wasn’t as experienced in their new life but she was experienced in death. So to speak.

When she did manage to get close enough to Audrey, her brownish blue eyes nearly reared at the sight of the woman. She seemed so weak, and the fact that she thanked Silvia was heart warming, she had wished her own mother fought like this child’s did. She wasn’t done yet, so she couldn’t sit still for long.

Walking over she picked up each tool in a haze—her first day, real first day understanding why she had such a tempe...why her arm was so disgusting. She was fearful of going rabid, and she hadn’t had the time to ask what that even meant—she had a feeling that it was when she was forced to break her body...to change. When she had time to think that was what happened, she thought about unimportant information that shouldn’t matter. She had to help those injured, and Audrey could be considered close to death—well that was until she thought she heard Ordan get up. Turning her head she frowned, lips curving downwards and an arch forming her brow, “Ordan, buddy of mine, sit down.”

I can’t stitch you up—you don’t need stitches surprisingly, but you will need some soon if you move around and tear bigger holes in you,” she advised striding over to him, she was taking a nicer tone towards him now. She wasn’t as commanding, she was finally adjusting to him now that she got all of the fight out of her. Walking over towards him, she looked to the woman—vampire she smelt nothing like Ordan or Jae...maybe just something was off bout her scent like Audrey’s.

She kept silent as they began talking about something before turning away, she needed time to collect—disinfect many items. Taking up some of the tools used for Ordan, she moved them o he wouldn’t have to be careful about laying down, she would move to do the same with Audrey’s bed. Her mind had gone blank before her eyes flashed to the baby, “I, uh, maybe sing a lullaby...infants like to hear singing...something familiar and soft...” she spoke up as she placed things away and collected the items needing to be cleaned. She had a few dealings in babies but she hoped Isabella didn’t take offense for her input.

Crossing his arms over his chest, Larkin turned his head to the side and watched as his alpha knocked on the door. “Maybe they are busy,” he chuckled jokingly. It would be obvious they were but he knew they could smell them. Turning around to peak over his shoulder, the blonde male let his blue eyes flick over the door as he anticipated one of the pack members coming to the door eventually, “Their numbers have increased, or there were others with the Boreal vampire—too much blood lost to be just her’s,” he offered his alpha.

Dragging a hand through his hair, the male let his head fall back onto the house’s paneling, blue eyes sparkling as he observed his alpha curiously. He wasn’t the type to rely on another but in times of boredom he would let others drag him about until something interesting—nah he just liked to tag along. He could be loyal in a sense, his tag along attitude allowed him to find and dish out information quite easily. That and his war effort experience made him valuable for his pack. He didn’t think Lichen would just accept any pure blood on the streets, and he had been taken in with little pressuring. He had grown attached, a reason why he kept around Blake’s pack—he fit in nicely at times like this one.

The warrior nodded, her head turning towards the front door; she could easily smell another vampire, one she hadn't smelt in or around the property before. She took a deep breath before making her way to the door, smoothing out her shirt. Her nerves were on their ends due to the previous situation, and hoped that the people outside weren't going to cause any problems or else someone was going to get injured again; they didn't have the supplies to patch up another fatal wound. Stopping in front of the strong oak structure, she grabbed the knob and opened it, a hand behind her back; she looked elegant and poised, someone of noble status, but in truth, her hand was on a special knife that was hidden in her back pocket..just in case things went south.

As she opened the door, she was met by two tall men that reeked of power. She smiled politely and kept the doorway narrow enough for them to see her.
"Ah! Hello, Alpha Blake. How may I help you today?" Her voice carried an English accent that was smooth and warm, but firm all at the same time.

Eden felt something was wrong, the pit of her stomach churning; was someone hurt? The female quickly turned towards the Alpha Housing and furrowed her brows when she spotted two odd men standing at the door. Quickly, she ran around, out of the sight of the two men, and slipped in through the back glass doors. She locked them behind her and as soon as she set foot into the house, the smell of blood hit her nose; her mind began spinning with all kinds of horrible possibilities, and oh god- what if something happened to Ordan? With wide, panicked eyes, Eden rushed through the house and finally made it to the Medical room. The huntress spotted a few injured people, including Ordan; her gaze slid over him, taking in the bandaged torso, the stench of blood radiating off of him.

Her smaller figure began to tremble as she made her way over, looking at him with a very concerned look.
"What the hell happened to you?" She asked, her voice panicked and she looked towards the hallway, hearing Adesina speaking to the two men outside. "Alpha Blake?" The Huntress whispered in confusion before shaking her head and gazing down at Ordan; it hurt her heart to see the man she cared for so dearly to be injured.

With a hesitant, shaking hand, she rested her delicate hand on the bedside and took another once over of his condition; her dark raven hair trickled down and encased her face, her long lashes lowered as she studied him. She didn't know much about injuries like this, but she could smell something tainted near the bedside. Swallowing thickly, she clutched the bedside as anger towards herself for not being able to prevent whatever happened here and the fact that someone had her him.

Soon enough Silvia came over to him. She must have sensed me getting up, he thought for she was telling him to hold on and sit back down, the wolf grumbling to himself as his cheeks flushed pink, the alpha finding the fussing over him embarrassing and steadfastly ignored Isabella who he was aware was in the healing room still. As Adesina left the room to go see whoever was at the door without another word from the alpha, he sighed as he stared up at the ceiling, the alpha listening to Silvia moving about within the healing room and checking on things. He listened to her move around, checking on things, checking on the tools and supplies, still not saying anything. "There should be a book on herbal medicine and eastern medicine in the library," said Ordan. "Jaehwa can show you later if he wishes to do so when everything is settled and taken care of," he finally spoke to Silvia. Really he was using it as an excuse to give the omega a push in the right direction, hopefully said omega would get the hint. "Take stock of what you need and I'll send someone to fetch it tomorrow or in a few days." He wasn't sure, it depended on how long it took him to heal.

He would have to give Jaehwa more time off from omega stuff and let the lad relax, this day was turning out horrible for everyone involved. It wasn't long until another pack member came into the room, another werewolf female who served as a hunter within his pack. The alpha was obviously not thinking straight as he had forgotten about Adesina and Eden, the female that had just entered and seemed to be staring at him from the doorway before she got the courage to come in. "Meet our new healer," he said, gesturing towards Silvia. "Silvia, this is Eden, a hunter. I didn't mention her or Adesina because today's been rather hectic and they slipped my mind."

The alpha was aware that the female had a crush on him, she hadn't said but she always seemed to be around when he got hurt. He was sure that meant she liked him in some way, shape or form, though he couldn't imagine why that was. He was middle aged for a human male but young compared to a werewolf. Ordan was not bad looking, if one could get past the scars, he just hadn't thought that anyone would be interested in him after Clover had broken off their engagement when he'd deployed the first time. The alpha stared at Eden as she finally came over to him and asked what had happened to him, shaking his head with a pointed look in Isabella and Audrey's direction though hearing her whisper about who else was here caused him to roll his eyes. "Later Eden...I'll tell the pack later when we don't have unexpected ears," he said mentally to the woman. Seeing the smaller woman clutch the bed as she began shaking, he shook his head at her...he assumed she was feeling anger at herself or something...it practically radiated off of her.

Leaned against one of the many cabinets in the healing room, Jaehwa watched as Silvia rushed around the scene. He thought her brilliant. It was miraculous how she was able to focus and perform so well under this much pressure. If he'd been required to help like this, he would surely have cracked under the weight of people relying on him. Admiration swelled in his chest for his packmate. She was so strong.

"Silvia, we really appreciate you," he said, moving to place a hand on her shoulder. He removed it as quickly as possible, red tinting the tips of his ears. Backing away, he remembered what she'd been talking about before he'd spoken up. A lullaby for the baby? Was she expecting Isabella to sing it?

His eyes trailed over to the restless babe and the woman carrying her, who he now knew was the Alpha of Boreal. "I'd offer, but... my voice is terrible." He was being honest, for at least in his opinion, his voice was nothing anyone would want to hear in a song. "Do you know any lullabies?" he asked.

Watching as Adesina sped off to answer the door--Jaehwa hoped there wasn't anyone of danger there--his gaze landed upon Ordan. He shuffled over to the alpha's bedside, unsure what to say. He wanted to scold himself, like maybe somehow this was all his fault, but he knew doing so would have no benefit. So instead he merely stood there, hoping that perhaps his presence would calm the alpha down. The pack was okay. They would continue to be okay. Ordan could rest and they could handle things.

"I'd be happy to show you around some more later," Jaehwa agreed, looking back to Silvia. He stepped aside for Eden when she came, letting her inspect Ordan just as frantically as he had when he'd first discovered the alpha in the dungeons. "Maybe once..." Once Ordan is resting and we don't have to worry about him trying to get up and do something again. Even then, though, he figured he would want to stay put anyways. He wasn't sure why.

Taking in Larkin's analysis of the situation, Blake's throat let out a low, quiet growl. He started to tap his foot. When the door finally did open, revealing one of the betas he did not care for, his patience drained. "We're here to speak with your alpha," he declared, although it was a total lie.

Through the pack connection, he contacted Larkin. "The other who is injured must be Ordan," he concluded. "Look at her stance: she clearly doesn't want us coming in and figuring that out." Of course, she wouldn't, as an injured alpha was a sign of the weakness of the pack. It just proved how vulnerable they were in these moments.

"There's something we'd like him to be privy to," Blake continued, the lie slipping easily off his tongue. "Could we come in? I don't mind waiting for him if he's busy."

The tan female slowly lifted her green hues and composed herself; she had heard there was a new healer but hadn't met her yet. "I apologize for my sudden entrance," she replied gently and loosened her grip from the bedside. "It's great to finally meet you." Eden stayed where she was, but tried to give off aa more..welcoming aura; she could tell the healer was pretty tensed up with stress.

"My..apologies for rushing in so suddenly; you always seem to hurt yourself and it worries me." Eden replied back through the mind-link to Ordan, the tips of her ears burning lightly with a pink flush, although her hair hid it.

"Thank you, we really do appreciate you," she complimented the new healer with sincerity. Her eyes flickered towards the hallway, the female trying desperately to calm her eratic heart beat but nothing seemed to help once she heard the Alpha outside begin to speak. The conversation was pretty muffled, but she could make out the jist of it. Eden's muscles tensed and she could feel her wolf beginning to protest, an instinct to protect rising in her.

Turning his head, Larkin examined the female vampire—her scent was strong was it managed to slip out towards him. Standing up tall, Larkin turned to stand beside Blake, hands tucked into his pockets as he remained silently—time for a notable appearance. He straightened his back, standing tall and letting his blue eyes stare straight forward while trying to retain a relaxed posture. She seemed to put out the effort to stand tall so as a gentleman he would offer the same form of respect. He remained blank faced, eyes looking over the woman to examine her features. He did that a lot with new acquaintances—not entirely uncommon of him. The blonde but currently brown haired male began looking straight forward.

Looking over to his alpha, he retracted his eyes to the dark haired woman, the vampire seemed new to him, it was because he wasn’t usually lurking around the area like some creeper. He preferred open hunting, hunting was a good sport of his when he wanted a chase. He always strayed from pack territories, only breaching Lichen land when he was finished with playing so he was a little unaccustomed to the area. Even so he waited for orders, his blue eyes flicking over to his alpha.

I previously spoke with him—before hand, and he offered us assistance shall we need it,” he backed up the lie, his accent peaking with the southern drawl. He wasn’t entirely lying like his alpha was, well it was a partial truth. Their alpha did mention something of the sort of availability to hunt down Boreal due to the scene they bumped into previously. He hoped his words were comforting.

“Yes. She is very proper too—wealthy. She’ll probably pick up on more advances since she is also not a mutt, it might prove difficult without getting permission from their Alpha directly,” he returned as he heard Blake spike up in his head. He was born an aristocrat, he knew one when he spotted them. Maybe it was because he hadn’t met a vampire outside of Lichen out of late, but he did not propose a bitten would stand so stiff her fluidly blocking their view.

Silvia finished stowing the newly used medicine she found—most from over the table bought products. Audrey was sound asleep and by the time she realized so she was observing as Jaehwa began to speak. Silvia has been oblivious to the stares she got, just minding her own business until Jaehwa broke her moment of silence.

Thank you, it’s the least I could do—after all the trouble I’ve caused...” she informed gently as she peaked at the small infant before turning away to continue work. She hadn’t been thanked so often before, it was a little unnerving and if it wasn’t obvious by her own cheeks tinting she shuffled away until he made a remark about lullabies, “Yeah, I, I sung them all the time. It’s the easiest way to put a baby to sleep or comfort them,” she informed before looking over at Jae one last time, she felt bad for presenting herself so grossly though as she quickly tried to wipe away the blood as another person came in. Everyone was stable and she looked a mess.

Hi, I’m Silvia,” she greeted the woman, wiping her hands quickly and rushed on her pants before striking her hand out. Pulling it back she grinned at the taller woman before turning towards Ordan at the mention of a book, “That’d be great, I’ll be able to use these plants for something then,” she concluded as she stood awkwardly between the group. She didn’t feel like she belonged so she began shuffling away again, nearly forgetting the medicine.

I don’t know how much this will help but, three of these should be good enough to subdue your back pain,” she offered holding out three pale blue pills, “Right—I should get back to it,” she murmured, her wary mood returning by the time she heard the hunter thank her. She have a small smile before returning to what she could, knowing there were more was a decent surprise, but she needed to spend sometime getting adjusted more after the chaos ensuing.

The auctioneer welcomed Eveleen to the stage with a flourish of his hand. He removed the bag covering her eyes, exposing her to the direct light from the spotlights. It was too bright, so she squinted, blinking fervently. As she adjusted to the lights, her eyes slowly opened all the way and she took in the sight of the crowd. There were a lot more people in the auction hall than she thought there would be.

"May I present to you Item Thirteen." Several people from the crowd cheered; a few whistled. She bowed her head slightly, playing along like she was told to back when they first threw her into the holding cell. "Her blood type is AB+, making her a rarity! Bidding starts at $455."

Eveleen pursed her lips. That was less than her starting price at the last auction she'd been to. Was her quality really going down? Was she that useless? Her thoughts hurt her, which was surprising for the human who usually didn't care about anything, let alone herself. A shiver trailed down her spine, leaving her feeling cold and listless. Her eyes trailed along the many faces of the crowd, landing upon two who sat in the front row. Something about them was... interesting. They weren't like the others in the audience. Perhaps they had more power? No... She couldn't put a name on it.

Annoyance was plain on Blake's face. He felt his back tense and his brows narrow. "I told you: If he's busy, we'll wait," he tried once more, voice practically a snarl at this point. "Won't you be polite and let us in? We've come all this way in the rain just to see him." He gestured to his and Larkin's soaked clothes.

Trying to calm himself, Blake shrugged with as much nonchalance as he possibly could. "At the very least tell him we're here. I'm sure he'll want to see us just as much as we want to see him... Please. Just speak with him first before you boot us out. We wouldn't want things to get violent here, now would we?" He put up his best front, a small smile on his face. "She's irritating. I don't like her, not at all."

Nose scrunching up with disgust, Blake frowned. Would he really have to resort to telling the truth? Surely Custos wouldn't risk themselves over defending the Boreal woman. If he could convince them to hand her over... "What do you think of me being honest for a change of pace?" he asked Larkin, hoping the other vampire was following a similar chain of thoughts.

Flashing his blue eyes forward he watched the female, she wasn’t close to budging. He didn’t have to look at his alpha to understand what his mind was currently going through, his body shifted a few times alerting Larkin to the impatience of the younger vampire who held much more power in his grasp currently. He had outnumbered the female vampire with Larkin at his side but Larkin was curious to see how he might handle the entire situation. He found it wise of him to think of other solutions as the female refused to budge.

“Sir, liking her or not is not of importance, we just need to ‘leech’ off of her to get what we need,” he advised with the briefest of movements from the twitching of his finger tips. “She might be frustrating but I believe we are putting her on edge, calming her down might be the fastest solution to gaining access. Mold what you want to happen, and it will,” he informed.

“Honest? Do whatever you desire, being honest about the Boreal female might be tricky. She is seeking asylum within these walls, possibly speak of how we are looking to help...or some other excuse,” he let his eyes travel to the woman’s, her gaze was unwavering as she addressed Blake, “Other than that, I’m afraid we can only hope we can catch the female when she leaves...the alpha will kick her aside as soon as he can—that is if we are not granted access,” he concluded.
