There was so much going on. It made his head spin. So much for the migraine pills earlier, he thought to himself as Jaehwa came over and stood silently at his bedside, the omega not saying anything and then offering to show Silvia around later, the alpha coughing suddenly to hide the amused smirk on his face. After Eden showed up, the alpha spoke to the omega. “I made the choice to go out...it isn’t your fault so don’t beat yourself up,” he said mentally to Jae. The alpha then turned his attention to Silvia briefly as she said she could finally learn to use the herbs with a medical book as the others said they were happy to have her. Ordan was too, even if she could be infuriating and had a temper, though he had complimented her once already. “You’re welcome. It’s an extra copy but never been opened...I think it is still in its box somewhere in the library. Was intending on giving it to a healer whenever I got one,” said Ordan.

The alpha turned back to Eden as she said something across the pack bond, apologizing which he absently waved off and then saying he seemed to always get hurt. His eyes narrowed and he inhaled before Silvia came with some medicine. “Thank you,” he said as Silvia handed him the medicine, three little blue pills. “Better I get hurt then the pack. That is one job as a captain...as an alpha,” spoke Ordan. “Eden get some water,” Ordan said to the hunter, “or iced tea. There should still be plenty in the pitcher...that reminds me...when this is over, you and Adelina need to eat. And find something to pick up Silvia’s energy while you are at it please.”

Ordan could hear muffled voices from near the front door of the house. The alpha though he heard Adesina’s voice, she had gone to take care of the problem, but he could hear a male voice as well. “How long until they are ready to leave?” He questioned Silvia, gesturing towards a sleeping Audrey, Isabella, someone he didn’t know and the babe.

He pondered the voice before his eyes closed again, in annoyance. Again the alpha began getting up, damn the consequences.
“Change of plans. Eden, show Isabella...only Isabella to the sitting room.” He looked at his other pack mates.

“Adesina, let the leeches inside and put them in the sitting room. I believe we have blood in the wine cellar.” He sighed as he continued getting up, old scars and muscles pulling at the sudden movements he put on his body. “Jaehwa, please remain here with Silva and keep watch on those three,” said Ordan with a sigh, tossing the pills back and dry swallowing them. Now where did he have a clean shirt around here as his one shirt was bloody and had four holes in it?

The half-siblings observed the first item up for auction, the bag taken off its face to reveal a woman who stared listlessly at the crowd. “Item 13...AB+ blood...$450 starting bid.” The auctioneer rattled off, the crowd cheering loudly.

“Four hundred fifty for a human who looks like they have gone through the ringer?” Oliver questioned under his breath.

“She has a rare blood type,” said Rhea. “The rarer the more fresh.”

“The more expensive as well,” said Oliver. “Blake and Paulina will suck her dry in a matter of minutes.”

The werewolf shrugged as she looked at Oliver. “Then if needed we will buy one for you at a later date,” she said quietly, turning back to the auction and that was when the half-siblings realized the human was looking at them. She turned back to her sibling, the two falling into a whispered conversation, Oliver’s face uncertain.

“Blake won’t like a dead blood slave.”

“It’ll be for the pack’s vampires. You’ll all just have to share and it isn’t dead. It has a rare type, surely that will make up for the costs.”

They stared at each other before Oliver turned to look at the girl himself. “What’s her demeanor?l!” He shouted at the auctioneer.

The female huntress felt relieved but somewhat like the world around her was spinning due to everything going on. She quickly shook herself out of it and just simply nodded. "Just..be safe, please.." She replied back through the pack link and glanced down at him, concern in her jade eyes once more as he began to move. As she was given a command, Eden began moving towards Isabella with a gentle smile. "Come with me, I'll get you something to drink and we can have a seat in the sitting room." With an almost mother-like chirp, she warmly invited Isabella with a smile.

As she got Isabella into the sitting room, she could smell the other vampires. Looking towards Isabella, she inhaled sharply before standing her ground.

The redhead continued to watch them, her eyes noting every movement. "Of course, sir." The warrior replied through the pack-link. "Ah! Come in, my apologies; things have been a bit hectic around here with some newer members. Come this way and take seat," she opened the door, quickly covering the knife with her shirt and extendin her hand to motion them inside. Something was off about how they were behaving, but she kept her cool and closed the door once they were inside.

"Right this way," the redheaded warrior said before leading them to the sitting room. "I'll go get some refreshments; he'll be in to speak in a moment." She dipped her head respectfully and lifted her eyes, a sharp glint in her silver gaze.

"Be careful; these two definitely have an alternative motive," she warned Ordan through the link once more before exiting to grab the blood. Using her enhanced speed, she made it back to the room in under a minute, a bottle of blood in hand. Adesina carefully set two glasses she'd snatched up onto the counter and poured them a drink.

After being silent for a while, Jaehwa let loose some air, rekindling the link with Ordan. “You don’t understand. I should’ve transformed and gone after you. Maybe you wouldn’t have been hurt. Maybe the enemy would’ve focused their attacks on me.” He stopped, starting to turn his head away from his alpha. “I’m just an omega, you know. You’re more important than I am. I’d rather die than let you continue to get hurt like this. That’s... that’s how much you mean to me.” Anger weaved through his thoughts, but it wasn’t directed towards Ordan. Rather, it was meant for himself.

Exasperated and confused, Jaehwa shook his head. “Never mind, that probably made no sense. I’m just a little overwhelmed right now; I’m sorry. Ignore me.” Something was messing with his thoughts and he couldn’t manage to make out what it was. Whatever the interference was, it drove him mad with bewilderment. He couldn’t understand any of this, no matter how hard he tried. His eyes searched for a distraction. They settled on the baby still in Isabella’s arms, who he smiled and waved at again. Her cute little face lifted his spirits some and he started to feel a bit better. Within seconds he was cooing at her, ignoring how ridiculous he probably looked right then.

When Ordan announced his next orders, though, Jaehwa could feel everything coming back all at once. “W-Wait, you’re still hurt; you should be resting!” he protested, frustrated. Worry taught his brows. “Please don’t.” But he could see the resolution in the way the alpha swallowed the pills as he got off the bed. Gritting his teeth, he nodded. “I’ll stay here, but for now let me go get you a clean shirt. We shouldn’t let them know you’re injured that badly.” With that, he turned to leave the healing room.

Within minutes, Jaehwa returned, a clean grey shirt in tow. He handed the neatly folded article of clothing to Ordan, smiling weakly. In the time he’d spent going to the alpha’s room and back, he’d cooled down enough to understand where Ordan was coming from. After his last confrontation with Blake, he probably shouldn’t be seen by the vampire again. It would be safer to stay here with Silvia. Besides, someone had to help her clean up.

Eveleen
scorpiodragon scorpiodragon

Seeing the boy and girl look back at her, Eveleen blinked, unsure of what to do. Pretend to be uninterested? Look away? Glare? All of those seemed to her like viable options, but she knew better than to act upon whims like that. No, it was better to keep doing as she was told. Maintaining her posture, she smiled at the two, as warmly as she could manage. Her face practically protested at the action, every unneeded muscle going limp. The expression screamed fake, but the auctioneer didn’t seem to care how convincing her performance was. He was too busy answering the boy’s question.

“This item in particular was a wonderful treat to find. It obeys every order given to her, regardless of what it may be. In short, it’s capable, cooperative, and, above all, exotic,” he preened, grinning wildly. The man was lying through his shiny teeth, over exaggerating what little good he’d found in her. He neglected to mention her quietness and lousiness with housework. Her only redeeming quality was her blood. That was what made her so valuable; not her demeanor.

Nevertheless, the auctioneer continued in this manner, throwing a arm over Eveleen’s shoulders. “It’s a beauty too, if you bothered to clean it up right.” A beauty? She had bags under her eyes and her hair was matted from how she’d slept on it. The only beautiful thing about her was the dress she wore, one they’d forced her to wear before shoving her in the holding cell to await her turn on stage. In any case, that had been her cue. With a sigh, she spun gently, the dress billowing around her. It was to show off all angles of her body, something both she and the auctioneer knew most out there cared for.

Thankfully, Blake’s impulsive idea didn’t have to come into play. “I’m glad you finally came to your senses,” he jested, unable to hold himself back from at least that. “Well something—or someone—changed her mind,” he noted to Larkin, although that probably didn’t need to be pointed out. Whether she’d remembered something or if Ordan had communicated with her, he didn’t know, but he was sure her abrupt change in behavior had to have come from somewhere.

Although he didn’t really need to follow her to the sitting room after having been here before, Blake did so anyways, keeping his pace level with hers. “Thank you.” It wasn’t at all sincere, but he hardly cared about maintaining that nonsensical appearance. It was about time they got down to business, formalities be damned. And yet he couldn’t help but smile politely as she ducked away. He could talk all he liked about getting down to the dirt, but that simply wasn’t who he was—when he maintained control over himself, that is.

When the female returned, it was with blood. Blake made a mental note that they had to be getting it from somewhere (the hospital, maybe?), for he’d heard nothing of Custos hunting for humans. In any case, that information could be dwelled upon later. For now, though, he enjoyed his glass, offering to cheers with Larkin before taking a long sip. All that was left was to keep playing the waiting game. He could do that. He’d come so far, after all.

Watching as the female loosened her grip on the door, his eyes shot to the ruffling of her shirt, a knowing glint reflecting in his cerulean hues. He wasn’t sure if he was amused by the action or just finding it odd, even so his eyes smiled while his face went stoically blank. Letting his hands slip into his pant’s pockets, he relaxed his posture as well, over all his years he hadn’t seen someone keep a knife hidden for so long in a conversation—of course he hadn’t actually had a conversation with someone who might have similar teachings in posture when growing up. Though his mood dropped and returned to a more serious note.

“I would say—just from my previous encounter that their Alpha is tired of us,” he concluded teasingly. His words were truthful to some extent his eyes flashing around as the woman invited the pair of males inside. He was sure they had their own motives as well behind it all, of course it didn’t matter as long as business was taken care of. Working to find all of the packs proved difficult, now with Custos letting them in he wondered what might be decided without them knowing.

Eyes flashing towards the woman as she reappeared after dropping them off, his blues eyes spotted the blood and he nearly arched his brow. The blonde—but appearing brown haired male was hesitant to grab a glass before looping his fingers around it gently. Larkin held the glass and visibly scented it—they wouldn’t have human blood! Even as he scented it, the familiar sweet liquid was nearly identical to the blood he had gotten from the live target earlier. He wasn’t much of a constant feeder but when he was offered something for a quick bite he wouldn’t resist.

Tipping his glass against Blake’s, he observed as the red liquid swished around elegantly before he dared to take a sip. He let the liquid run down and his hand tilt upwards until the remaining liquid left a red stain from traveling down the side of the glass. “I can smell them,” he inferred to Blake, he had taken a long whiff when smelling what kind of blood he was consuming, had to get past the wet dog stench.

"Get up!" A gruff voice called through the cell bars, snapping Sienna from her dazed thoughts. The female was battered with bruises and was stuffed into a beautiful dress just as all the other girls with rarer blood types. She cringed as the cell door creaked open and before she could react, the man had grabbed her roughly by the arm and yanked her to her feet. The mute female let out a pained noise and stumbled after the man, following behind him; it was tough to keep up with his pace due to her smaller stature. Hearing the chatter of yet another auction room, Sienna began to tremble; she'd grown to hate supernatural beings, especially Blood Suckers.

The man growled, his red eyes flickering down to her neck. "If you weren't up for auction, you'd be mine." His disgusting breath fanned over her face as he began lowering his chin to her neck, gazing at it before shoving her onto the stage. Gasping, she stumbled a bit but caught herself, keeping herself to the side of the stage; being out of sight, she caught sight of another blood slave with a rare blood type. Oh no- she was up next. Her hazel gaze flickered down towards the pair that were contemplating the buy. The pricing was a bit high, but that would be about Sienna's price, due to the rarity of the female's blood type.

The man came up behind her, gripping her shoulder painfully. "You're up next," he hissed in her ear, the smell of his breath nearly making her gag.

“There’s something wrong with that one,” Oliver muttered quietly as the human smiled at them.

“No worse than Paulina being a ditz most of the time,” Rhea said with a roll of her eyes. “Pay attention Oliver, the big people are talking.” She ignored Oliver’s glare.

“Smarty ass,” said Oliver under his breath. However, Oliver and Rhea did listen to the auctioneer putting on a show with the human, describing her as being obedient. So if I told her to go play in the road until she was creamed by a car she would do it? “I thought exotic meant foreign?”

His half-sister glared at him. “It’s probably the blood type,” she said under her breath, taking Oliver’s hand and squeezing it. They were probably far closer to each other than one should be when related by blood, as they watched the girl begin twirling once the auctioneer had bothered to remove their arm from the girl’s shoulders. The half-siblings again had a whispered conversation with each other concerning the girl’s looks, Rhea arguing in favor of buying the girl and Oliver arguing that it would die as soon as the alpha couple got their claws into it, let alone Larkin and Elias whereupon they would be back in the same boat as before. $450,” said Rhea, holding up the bidding paddle, the pair sitting back to watch the auction begin for the haggling.

Ordan wasn’t surprised to hear Eden ask him to be safe, the alpha blinking once in answer as he heard her go to Isabella. Adesina warned him of Blake possibly having ulterior motives and acknowledging his words of letting the pair of leeches in. “I’ll be careful,” he spoke. “Put the babe near it’s mother,” Ordan said. “It might stop fussing in that case and someone feed it.”

When Jaehwa continued the link between them, the omega’s voice was self degrading and chastising, saying he should have chased after the alpha and not let him go alone. “I doubt you could have been a ton of help against animatronics...and you might have been stabbed as well by that girl I was pursuing,” spoke Ordan, his eyes closing once more. “Besides, if you had gone with me, I wouldn’t have known about our healer letting the Boreal alpha into the mansion.”

He could feel the feelings of anger wavering through the younger man’s thoughts. Silvia hadn’t answered him on when the Boreal members could leave but he assumed she was just tired. The alpha couldn’t blame her. “Jaehwa you are one of my more favorite pack members,” said Ordan. “You’re the main reason I struggle so hard to find a cure for you all...you have too much to live for. Without you, life would be dull here...and who knows? Silvia might become depressed without your charming demeanor.”

Normally, Oran would not have said that but the lad meant a lot to Ordan. Just as he was discovering now, the lad seemed to hold him in high regard. Perhaps nearly dying had that effect on him though the alpha’s closed eyes again flashed silver as Achilles reminded him the girl was still alive. Ordan ignored it, she wouldn’t last long. The werewolf prisoner was an exception. Humans couldn’t live for long without water and food. He didn’t care if the werewolf ate her. Maybe he would reward it by letting it die a quick death.

When he made to be getting up, Jaehwa of course protested, immediately telling him to wait and he shouldn’t be moving.
“Jaehwa if I do not bother going, the leech will likely track my scent down,” said Ordan patiently after taking the pills and getting to his feet. The omega seemed to realize this for in the end he told Ordan to stay while he went to get the alpha a shirt, saying he shouldn't let Blake see he was injured badly to which Ordan nodded. Taking the grey shirt, he pulled it on over his head, covering some of the scars that weren’t concealed by the bandages around his torso as he passed the omega, patting his shoulder. Hearing Jaehwa say he would stay put, Ordan nodded. That was probably a good idea with earlier in the day though he didn’t fault the omega for his earlier outburst. The purebloods, no matter how they pretended, couldn’t understand.

Eveleen’s eyes lit up when the duo in the front row placed the first bid on her. So they did have the money to afford a blood slave. She wondered how much they did have, how much they were willing to spend here. If there was one thing she’d learned throughout all her years of servitude, it was that the richer the owner, the more luxuriously she lived. Although she may be treated the same way regardless of her owner’s wealth, at the very least she’d be nicely clothed and in a pleasant environment. Based on her experience, anyways. If these two were as rich as she thought they were, then she knew who she wanted as her next owners.

“$500!” a woman towards the back shouted, holding up her bidding board. And so it began, a back and forth haggle between several different bidders. The price continued to increase. $550, $600, $700... “$725!” came the woman’s final bid. Eveleen was admittedly surprised. This vampire beaten out all the men in the crowd. She was standing now, bidding board in hand, a confident grin on her face.

Just when Eveleen thought the price couldn’t go any higher, the auctioneer butted in. He’d seen the next item standing to the side of the stage and his eyes lit up with an idea. He moved over to the other girl, roughly grabbing her arm and dragging her into the spotlight. “For an extra $550, we’ll throw in this B- blood slave! They’ll go together as a package, this one at a set price. Any takers?” The crowd broke out into a series of murmurings, the individual groups discussing amongst themselves if it was worth it.

The crowd was beginning to liven up, yelling increasing amounts of money. She fiddled with her hands nervously and watched the girl as she twirled in her dress; she was quite pretty but looked worn out. As soon as the she met eyes with the man auctioning them off, she knew something bad was about to happen. The man begsn walking towards her with a glint in his eyes; he had an idea, and one that Sienna would hate but be relieved that she wasn't goiing to be alone. As her arm was grabbed, she winced lightly but made no noise as she stumbled after him. Her dress was an olive green that accented her pale skin, blond locks, and hazel eyes. The fit was tight enough to show her curves, which seemed to be a must for the people running the auction. It flowed down in an elegant a-line. She dug her nails into her palms as she was now set on stage with the other female.

Sienna swallowed thickly and knew she had to smile through it, to impress. Putting on a small smile, she slowly spun, her dress flaring up elegantly; she felt absolutely dreadful. Stopping, she inhaled sharply and looked out at the crowd.

She knew that everyone was skeptical about the dual package, but it would be a definite hit with the bigger covens/packs. The thought of fangs piercing her skin made her shiver, but this was her life now; in fact, she couldn't remember any of her past. Sienna couldn't remember anything past the first memory of getting captured as a Blood Slave. All she had was her name.

The half-siblings listened to the different prices echoing through the room, the price stopping at $725. “Did we win?”

“Hush,” Rhea admonished under her breath, the werewolf’s eyed glinting as the auctioneer brought out another blood slave, offering the pair as a packaged deal for an extra $550. The fact that this new human also has a rare blood type was truly a lucky thing, the girl twirling like the other one that looked worn out. “What do you think dear brother?”

Oliver studied the females carefully with a scrutinizing eye. “One might wonder why two blood slaves with rare types are being auctioned together sister,” said Oliver. “I’m not sure I like it.”

“But if we take both of them, that takes care of us coming back for one for you at a later date,” said Rhea. “Two for the price of one isn’t a bad deal and as long as they don’t die, we can breed them.”

“I thought making children with humans was immoral?”

“Father sired me before meeting your mother,” Rhea reminded.

“Yeah but that’s different. There is no such thing as half werewolves. The gene either passed or it doesn’t when a wolf and human breed.”

“Brother, surely you know ways to prevent pregnancy.”

Oliver hummed. “Well there are...”

“$3,550 for the pair and throw in the outfits as well,” said Rhea before giving her brother a smile as he turned to stare at her.

“Rheaaaaa. You distracted me on purpose.”

“There there Oliver. You and the others get a couple blood banks and I get models to make clothes in. I’d say that’s a win win.”

Watching the two in the front row discuss things for a moment, Eveleen was shocked to hear their offer. The auctioneer was too, his grin widening to show all his teeth. He let go of the other girl, bowing dramatically. “Sold! You may collect your purchases backstage.” Another brute clambered out onto the stage, grabbing the two females and dragging them by their chained hands to the right wing. He released them once they were out of sight of the crowd but didn’t leave, standing nearby to supervise while he waited to hand off the slaves to their new owners.

Eveleen glanced over to the female beside her with dull eyes. She wondered if she should introduce herself or at the very least say hello. Eventually, she caved in, warily watching the man who guarded them with suspicion. “It’s nice to meet you. We are going to the same owner, thus I found it prudent to introduce myself.” She bowed her head, this behavior drilled into her since she was little. “Hello. My name is Eveleen. You may call me whatever you wish.” She smiled weakly.

The bodyguard snorted at her efforts. “Say, girl, do you know who bought you? Those two in the front? They’re with Lichen.” His smirk was wicked. “Good luck staying alive, lovelies.” This struck Eveleen with some amount of concern. She could handle torture, amongst other things, but not if it led to her death. That was one thing she wouldn’t stand for. Her mother had told her to live right before she was drained of blood. Eveleen had every intention of living, even if it meant maintaining this lifestyle.

After being sold, Sienna and Eve were ushered backstage to meet their new owners. She furrowed her brow when Eve spoke, wishing she could speak to her but she sadly was mute. Opening her lips and trying to speak, only a small breath escaping her lips. Sympathetically smiling, she mouthed her name 'Sienna' and looked towards her with a bow as well. Her eyes flickered over towards the body guard, her eyes widening. The Lichen? Oh no..he couldn't be meaning the nearly ruthless group of Purebreds? They practically ripped through every human in their path! Her friendly expression fell and she held a face of worry, looking at the younger woman.

The auction continued on with a few other blood slaves, servants and slaves but the half-siblings paid no attention to it. Instead they rose as one to their feet and Rhea pulled out the bag of money before counting out, rather slowly for her own own amusement, probably to make the blood slaves they'd purchased sweat. "Yes! I get my toys...my mo...I mean we get the blood slaves for the pack. Maybe the alphas will stop being children now," Rhea said.

Oliver only stared at his sister in bemusement, watching her count out the money and demand a receipt from the auctioneer which she got and pocketed before placing the money bag back on her person and turned to her sibling. "Shall we go Oliver?"

"Why not?" Oliver questioned with a shrug. He followed his sister backstage to where the blood slaves were held until they went into the custody of their owners, asking a question. "Are you going back to designing clothes?" His mother had been an excellent seamstress and taught Rhea a lot about sewing while Rhea's mother favored cooking, gardening and drawing as her past times.

"I hope so," said Rhea. "Do make sure you don't damage them too much dear brother," she said, giving her brother a kiss.

"I will attempt not too but shouldn't you be worried about the other vampires? It'll be a bloodbath probably. Then our work will be for naught." Oliver returned his sister's kiss and sighed. "I do miss the happiness you once had before our parents' died. It will be nice to see a smile on your face again." After their parents' deaths, Rhea had made some money for them by sewing blankets and simple clothes but since joining Lichen, she had not partaken in many of the things she used to do. Oliver knew she was mourning, he mourned as well for the loss of their happy family and the younger children...the younger children that had perished with their parents' deaths because they were a mixture of their father and Rhea's mother as well as two younger siblings of their father and Oliver's mother. Continuing backstage, the half-siblings soon reached the backstage room where their blood slaves were being held, a brutish looking fellow standing guard a few feet away.

It had taken some time before Eveleen saw her new owners. She wondered if they were stalling intentionally or if the process to purchase a blood slave was a lot more complicated than she originally thought. Then again, she supposed neither mattered. They could take their time if they so wished whenever; she would say nothing against their behavior. She was, after all, only a blood slave. She had no right to question her masters' methods.

When the duo appeared backstage, Eveleen immediately bowed her head. Her actions had become quite repetitive for her. How many owners had she been through these past few years? Six? Seven? She couldn't recall the exact number, but it had been a lot. Over the span of her life, she had learned these habits and recognized them as the only acceptable way of behaving.

"Hello. My name is Eveleen. You may call me whatever you wish," she said, echoing her earlier introduction to Sienna. "It is nice to meet you." Her eyes trailed over to her fellow blood slave. "This is Sienna. I believe she is mute." Simple, clean, to-the-point. She provided no frivolous details for she believed such things to be unnecessary.

The brute standing guard approached the two from Lichen and handed them a set of keys. "These will unlock their shackles. We hope you'll be satisfied with your purchase," he recited before turning and disappearing onto the stage, most likely to grab another slave that had been purchased. Eveleen paid him no further mind, choosing instead to hold out her chained together hands.

"You may remove the cuffs if you so choose. I do not mind. But know that you do not have to worry about me trying to run," she said, body free from all tension. There wasn't a hint of emotion in her voice, nor did any muscles on her face form a distinct expression.

Sienna felt relieved to see that Eve understood, and also that she wasn't going to be alone; atleast she'd have some company, even though listening is about all she could usually do. With a sharp inhale at the sight of the new owners, the female stood up straight, bowing along side her new companion. Her blond tresses bounced as she stood back up to her full height and encased her face nearly perfectly, her hazel gaze on the pair that seemed to be siblings. Listening to Eve, she gave a small nod when she introduced Sienna as a mute, an apologetic smile on her lips as she looked back towards the pair; she needed to seem as elegant and loyal as she could, her shoulders straightening and leveling.

'I hope if they kill me, they do it quick..' Sienna thought to herself with an internal dread that was hidden from her outer appearance; she'd had a lot of practice with hiding her emotions. Lowering her lids, she allowed her gaze to travel from the pairs shoes all the way up to their faces, taking in each detail; she noted that they definitely looked similar, so she assumed they were siblings. Furrowing a brow towards the guard, she then glanced down at the shackles and carefully lifted her aching wrists a bit before rubbing her delicate hands together.

Her wrists had been bound for so long, she couldn't remember when they weren't in shackles, handcuffs, or even zip ties; the thought of having them off was something that she had fantasized about since she'd been captured for the first time.

“Well, what do you think?” Oliver questioned slowly, the vampire observing them without another word, listening as one spoke its name and introduced the other one, saying it might be mute.

“They’re lovely...though a bit skinny.”

And you just notice this now? “Well, that is nothing some healthy meals cannot fix.”

Rhea gave her brother a hurt look but Oliver just returned it with a bored gaze of his own. Turning back to the pair of females, she began circling them. “There is time to examine them after they are taken home,” said Oliver with a sigh.

“Not when they have blood soaking them,” Rhea argued.

I’m not messy with my feeding,” said Oliver. He looked upset at Rhea’s words. Oliver had not been messy as his sister put it after reaching adolescence.

Rhea seemed satisfied, Oliver letting her do what was in her mind, before taking the keys and watching the guard walk off. She turned to her brother and made him be the one to release the shackles on the blood slaves before speaking, Oliver pocketing the shackles as they were removed from each human’s wrists.
“You have the honor of being my toys,” Oliver coughed suddenly to cover up a laugh and Rhea turned to scowl at him for interrupting her. Oliver waved her on with his other hand. “As I was saying, you have the honor of being my toys and the...prestige of being of use to the...how many vampires are there again dear brother?”

“Five,” said Oliver when he had composed himself.

“Five vampires blood banks as well as whatever other devices they want you for.”

Oliver coughed and stared pointedly at his sister who ignored him. “Let’s go,” he said. “I still get to drive home,” he muttered to his half-sister.

“Now that I have something to play with, you can drive home without fuss.”

Her brother rolled his eyes before leading the way back to the car and Rhea opened the back door, waving her hand for them to pile into the blue Lincoln Navigator

that could seat eight people. Once the blood slaves would get in, the siblings would lock the doors and get into the front before Oliver would begin the journey back to Lichen. “We’re purebreds...my charming brother is a vampire while I’m a werewolf. There are two more werewolves, both females, and four more vampires, one female and the other three male. We live in an asylum that Blake turned into a house. You’ll sleep with the maid in the staff quarters. Ultimately you listen to Blake or Paulina who are the alpha couple or Alana, our beta werewolf, but feed any of the vampires who need blood unless they go hunting.”

Listening to the duo--who Eveleen assumed were siblings based on their similar features--with uninterested eyes, she wondered why they were bickering so much. Perhaps that was just a sibling thing? She wouldn't know. Her mother and father were trying to get pregnant with a second child, but they died before they could see their efforts come to fruition. Eveleen wondered what life might've been like with a brother or sister. Probably irritating, provided she had to quarrel with them so often.

Eveleen took in their summary of what she would be tasked with doing as she rubbed her wrists, the shackles having rubbed them raw. "Okay," she replied casually. There was no need to protest to what she would be used for; it wasn't at all the worst of what she'd had to do in the past. Five vampires would be a breeze to handle. In fact, dare she even say she was looking forward to it? She was that messed up, wasn't she?

Following the two to their car, Eveleen slid into the vehicle. She folded her hands neatly in her lap and looked out the window. The female, who introduced herself as a purebred werewolf, told her about the order of their pack. She nodded as she absorbed this information. "I believe I understand." There was a brief pause in her words before she started up again. "May I have your names?" she requested, hoping that wouldn't be too out of line.

Rhea & Oliver
Location: Leaving Ithawell to Lichen
The pair were silent as they drove out of Ithawell, the rain finally easing up outside. “What a relief,” Rhea said as the rain lessened. The dark skinned werewolf leaned over Oliver and stretched out there in the front seat, her head on Oliver’s lap as her feet rested on the passenger seat. Oliver didn’t even look down at Rhea, only dropping a hand to her body to keep her in place as he drove, steering now with one hand. This was a common occurrence when they drove, the pair seeking physical contact with each other.

Oliver glanced at the women in the back through the rear view mirror, watching them as the one who could talk said it understood Rhea’s words before posing a question that made him shift uncomfortably , causing an annoyed murmur from Rhea. “Oliver,” said Oliver, taking his hand off the wheel to raise it to the rear view mirror. “The flirtatious fashionaire is Rhea. She hunts and patrols...and i just heal people.”

Isabella
Isabella looked at Audrey in shock when she said there was a twin. And... the blood order had taken it. "Twin...?" she murmured silently. Malachi was a twin? Then, it was probably that Order person who had taken him... the same one that had shot her in the arm... this was bad. Then suddenly the healer and the other male rushed back into the room, along with who she recognized as Custos's Alpha. She stood up straight and walked near the doorway to give more space. The male then rushed back and had brought formula for the baby. She smiled slightly, then said "Thank you. However it seems that my hand is a bit full at the moment. I'm afraid someone else would have to feed her." she said in a apologetic manner, refusing to look at her limp, useless arm.
As she watched them work on Ordan, the healer suggested singing a lullaby to the baby, which was soon requested to her by the male. Sighing, she stood a little away and grimaced as she thought of a lullaby to sing to the baby. How did it come to this she thought, as she settled on an old lullaby, or more like a song, that she had heard long time ago. It wasn't exactly a happy tune, it was sort of similar to a much more serious Greensleeves, and she had forgotten some of the words, but it was lilting enough to pass as a lullaby.

It was about the night sky, and the moon, and the darkness that engulfed both. So not the most happiest song, but this was a vampire baby, it seemed the most fitting. As she sang under her voice to the baby, she felt some of the pain in her injured arm lessen a bit too, as her voice reached the soul-wrenching high notes.

Rhea & Oliver
Location: Lichen House
After driving for a couple hours out of Ithawell and another hour into the Badlands of the west, the land changing from greenery to desert landscape dotted with scrub brush, occasional cacti and dry clay sandy ground. The rain lessened up until it stopped altogether as they drove through the night, the half-siblings not saying anything as Oliver drove the newest property towards their home, not knowing the alpha had not returned yet. With it being dark out, the humans may not be able to see anything on the ride, then again with how they had night vision as an ability they might be able to make out the creatures within the darkness moving about in the territory as they traversed it. Eventually the car pulled into a large parking lot in front of the house, the parking lot having some weeds growing between the cracks. "We're here," said Oliver, unlocking the back doors and shaking Rhea who just whined and swatted his hand away. "Rhea, get the fuck up," Oliver snapped at his half-sister in irritation, his eyes flashing red as he glared down at her. I swear you always do this, he thought to himself before forcefully shoving the girl up and into the passenger door, Rhea yelping as her eyes snapped open upon hitting the reinforced glass. It had been installed after Oliver had been born, preventing light from coming in and people from shooting through the windows and seeing into the car so the family could be protected. His father hadn't gotten the chance to reinforce the metal with bullet proof metal before they'd died.

Shutting down the car, he put it in park and got out, his eyes going back to their normal color as Rhea opened the passenger door. She looked at her brother and and then began walking towards the house, leaving Oliver standing there in front of the asylum while waiting for the two blood slaves to get out so he could lock the SUV and have the servant woman take them to the basement where they would live from now on. There were several twin-sized cots down on the floor, spanning every possible inch through the basement and the separate rooms, beds moved down and refurbished from when the home had been an asylum for the insane. As Rhea made her way to the home, she shouted for the servant girl to come outside. "BAY! Come outside!" Rhea shouted as she approached, some of the windows open to let in fresh air through the house.

The basement itself, besides where the human staff lived and slept also had a couple of outdated bathrooms and a couple of other rooms where the male staff slept and then there was a breeding room which was small but could breed up to four different pairings of servants at once. The woman waited, tapping her foot impatiently and knowing, if Bay was awake and in one of the upper floors above the basement, she should be able to hear Rhea's shout.

Sienna sat there for the few hours that the trip took, completely wide awake due the anxiousness of her thoughts that raced through her mind. She began noticing there were hardly any trees, only a few cacti and a few glowing eyes, staring out at them as they drove. The ride was about to become almost unbearable just as she saw a large building coming into view; it looked like an old Psychiatric Ward. With a furrowed brow, Sienna leaned forward and nervously peered out at the towering structure.

'This can't be a good sign..' she mentally whispered to herself, rubbing her aching wrists.

As the SUV pulled up and parked, the commotion startled her a bit, her hazel eyes going wide fof just a moment; she noted mentally that Oliver may have a pretty bad temper or just easily angered and irritated. Once the door was unlocked, Sienna timidly stepped out of the vehicle, the heavy formal gown weighing her down a bit. She made her way around the SUV, standing near Oliver in wait of a command, her face dusted with a red tint due to the nippy air caressing her cheeks.

Throughout the rest of the drive, Eveleen was silent. She'd always been uncomfortable in cars ever since the accident, but this time felt worse than others. The nighttime sky was dark and she could barely see anything out through the windows excepts for an occasional tree or movement of a shadow. Each time, she was startled, her heart rate increasing. She attempted to shake off the ridiculous anxiety and focused no longer on the windows.

When they pulled up to an old insane asylum, Eveleen could tell they were here. Lichen must be a large pack to need so much space. The area around the asylum-turned-house consisted mostly of sand and rock. Cacti loitered around and weeds grew plentiful where they could. Surprisingly, she quite liked the atmosphere it had. It seemed... private. Discreet. Alone. Almost like a sanctuary would be.

As the siblings annoyed each other once more, Eveleen got out of the vehicle. She stood an waited patiently for Oliver to get out. Hearing Rhea yell a name, she decided to ask him something. "Who is Bay?" she inquired, her head gently tilting to the side. "Another slave? Or...?" She hoped her questions weren't becoming obnoxious. Irritating her new masters was the last thing she wanted to do.

As Rhea shouted again for the maid, the non-mute got out of the car and stood beside the vampire as he waited for the other to get out. When the girl named Eveleen asked him who Bay was, Oliver turned to look at here. “Bay is a maid,” said Oliver. “Apparently Bay is not near a bloody window. You...get out,” he said to the mute still in the vehicle. Assuming she did so, Oliver would kick the SUV up with the auto lock on the keychain and make them follow Rhea to the house.

The vampire would take the rear as Rhea turned back. “Apparently the maid is not answering. Shall we take them to their new living quarters or do you want a meal?” Rhea questioned.

“Maybe she is helping out Paulina or Alana. Or maybe feeding Elias,” said Oliver. “No...I can wait until Blake and Paulina have their full of the blood slaves. For now we’ll take them to the basement and look for either of the alpha’s. If Blake it Oaulina isn’t here, we’ll send Blake a text...or you will.”

“Whatever you say darling,” Rhea said before clapping her hands as she turned to the blood slaves. “Come on then. Follow me and keep up. Busy evening ahead.” Rhea took off at a brisk walk for the home of the purebloods, Oliver waiting for the humans to go ahead of him and then followed after locking up

Watching the two siblings talk, the creepy building caught her attention; this was her new home, and it was filled with creatures that would be feeding from her. She swallowed lightly and turned her gaze back towards Rhea, listening to the rest of the siblings conversation. She wondered if there were others like Eve and herself or if they were in search of..replacements for their previous blood slaves; the thought of being another person's blood bank replacement made her shiver with disgust and anxiousness. There were so many girls already being sold for their blood, and to think that their fate was decided on a buyer, made Sienna sick to her stomach.

As she heard Rhea's voice once more, she snapped out of her darkening thoughts and quickly shook herself mentally.
'Basement? Right, that's where they keep the maids and blood slaves apparently..' she thought to herself and reached down, lifting the heavy dress and following behind the female.

The structure in front of them was a bit unsettling, the thought of who'd been killed here, lingered in the back of Sienna's mind as she walked.

As the pair moved forward, they went to the house and stepped inside, the door not locked at all. As they stepped into the area they were greeted by a living room that used to be the lobby and reception area of the asylum. The furniture was set out in Victorian and Tudor style throughout. The place seemed gloomy at first glance but a lot had been done to make it livable for the purebloods calling it home. They didn’t give time to look around as they ended up going to the basement thoughand headed downstairs, Rhea turning on a switch. Halfway down, the werewolf stopped suddenly. “What is it now?” came Oliver’s voice from the back.

Rhea turned to her brother and pointed. Hanging from the rafters was the swinging body of Bay, a noose around the girl’s neck. Oliver scented the air. “She hasn’t been dead long. I’ll take her.” He moved past the females and then heard robstand under Bay’s body before undoing the noose. Letting her body drop, he picked her up and slung her over his shoulder, taking her to the infirmary to feed before he would throw her in the still working incinerator, leaving Rhea with the blood slaves.

“Well...that’s unfortunate,” said Rhea with a sigh. “Shall we continue?” She continued down the stairs without waiting for a response, soon coming to the basement with several cots and narrow aisles between them. “This is where the females sleep. You may each choose a bed. The male staff sleep in another large room to the left and the breeding room is in back. Four pairs can breed at a time,” she said, leading the way to the room in question, four twin mattresses on the floor. Opening the ebony door, she stepped aside to reveal the breeding room. “You breed with whoever of the staff is selected for you...even if you’re homosexual,” said Rhea. She then went down the hall and showed them the two bathrooms to their right after taking them back to the women’s area of the basement. They had a sink, toilet and combo bathtub/shower with a rain shower in all bathrooms. “Two people can shower at a time...technically three as the rain showers can fit two,” said Rhea.

The female stopped dead in her tracks, her eyes slowly lifting to the body of the female, her body dangling from a noose like a rag doll. Sienna began to pale a bit but kept her chin up and walked past Oliver after Rhea; was it that bad here? Her eyes flickered around as they descended into the basements, which was a bit different than she thought'd it be; it was definitely cleaner than she thought it'd be but a lot more cramped as well. Sienna surveyed the room as they were led towards another room, which was the breeding room. She blinked for a few moments, soaking in that they were going to be..bred; that definitely bugged her, but then again, she was nothing but a feeder and possibly servant to her masters.

Focusing back on the woman leading them around, she followed her out and into a bathroom area with a large shower; it could definitely fit at least two. She lowered her head for a moment, wanting to ask so many questions but what if they found out she could communicate differently? That she had a mind-linking type of ability? Would that be a breeding factor they'd want? She didn't want to risk that, not yet.
