So it was believed that mice carried a virus that brought about the creation of quirks

If so, this might bring up some interesting ideas and theories

1. Quirklessness: If quirks are a virus, does that mean that being quirkless isn’t bad luck, but rather, people evolving to be immune? Like an airborne zombie outbreak and you have people immune to it. So really, people with quirks are just zombies.
2. Chisaki The Germaphobe: So we know Chisaki is a geemaphobe and this might be a stretch. Could his reason for wanting to erase quirks come from the idea that they are a virus? So he sees himself as a bearer of this disease, though decides to use his own quirk to help erase others of the disease.
3. Nezu: If mice were the bearers of the quirk virus, it would make sense that mice would be experimented on. Maybe the scientist tried to infect him with the disease and it succeeded. It would make sense as to why animals gaining quirks is so rare. Because the virus hasn’t evolved to go to other animals so that’s why there’s such a small handful. Kinda like The Black Plague.
