People, let me say this because I kind off have steam coming out of my ears right now. I am REALLY pissed at the number of characters who say "character follows logic, not emotion", at the number of characters that are strong AND smart, passionate and brave, but careful and forethinking, like serioulsy? Did NO ONE read it when I wrote down that we needed to make sure everyone managed to get some spotlight and we should try to distribute roles? Like I can understand a few similar characters, but this wave of characters that try to be fighting machines at the age of 15, going into a school precisely meant to train students when they are somehow already masters of 12 martial arts with all-purpose quirks that would make all might look like skeleton in comparison (yes, this pun was intentional) and are super smart and super controlled with their emotions, but have a past of mindless, pointless bullying (whoever that bully is, props for going around running marathons to bully people, sicne clearly everyone except a small group was bullied by them).... Do you see my point here?! How are we supposed to create exciting scenes and contrasts and fun character relationships when everyone is half carbon copy of the others, and a bad OP copy at that?

I want this roleplay to succeed, and I´ve been tolerant of this so far, but it´s getting to the point of no return. From now, I´ll be even harsher in these matters. I´m sorry it has to be like this, but the choice has been taken away from me.

I know you people mean no harm, and I sincerely hope you want this roleplay to be great as much as I do. So, I´m begging you current members, and you members who have not joined this roleplay yet, but may in the future, please have the sense to know when to draw the line by yourselves and to make sacrifices to cooperate with your fellow players and create a jaw-dropping coreography instead of trampling each other down.

That is all, thanks to anyone who reads this and my apologies for the rant. I just had to get this out of my system.

Everyone needs to let off steam, so I don't mind you doing just that. After all, you're the GM and you're only human. If you want to rant, go ahead, I don't mind.

Edit: If my character needs to be fixed, hell, I'll fix her for you. Whatever it takes to let everyone enjoy themselves, I'll gladly do it

Doesn't a good rant just make everything feel much better?

Idea Idea Now I'm scared to post my teacher XD. JK of course, and I appologize if my character ever gave that impression.

Thank you both. If my memory serves me right, though, I don´t think your characters suffered from this problem. It´s hard to keep track anyway, especially considering I wasn´t trying to, it just became such a massive clog over time that I flipped.

Letting out steam is good :)

Allows you to tell people the problem so that they don't do it again. Also doesn't make you bottle up your feelings.

Anyway, like most have said. I am willing to change/edit something if I'm part of the problem. Luckily I still can as I haven't posted for my character yet so I could :)

Ironically enough, you guys that replied and volunteered to change are really the kind with CSs that don´t have it at all. In fact, you guys have some of the CSs I most liked to read in this whole roleplay

Aw, thank you! Makes me happy to hear :D

That's why I believe this RP is a chance for me to try something new. Your critiquing forced me to open up to new routes that I don't think I would've thought about. Sometimes the best way to give criticism is to be very straightforward.

If my characters aren't as diverse enough then feel free to tell me. I'm always looking for new ways to diversify my craft. Idea Idea
Well, your second character does carry the problem I mentioned. Just looking at his skill list alone and you see an impenetrable mix of agility, strength, intelligence, creativity and planning. His quirk also has very diverse effects and is frankly more resistant than I would approve if it wasn´t for the fact 70% of the character in this roleplay are capable of blows that break concrete walls in some way or another. Plus the shapeshifting. The speed of it balanced out the thing a bit though, but still, even reaching your character is a big challenge even if he was just gonna wall in.

Hmmm.... say no more I think I have an idea. The first thing I'll do is lessen the amount of glob he can have out at once and in total. From there I think I'll also shrink down the stretching size. Another thing I can do is increase the negative side effects for the quirk so that if Hilbert is going to think about performing high-risk high reward strategies, he has to be ready to pay the price.

If you need me to make my character dumb as a sack of potatoes, go ahead and say so. If it makes this rp better, I'm all for it.

Well, your character is approved, you don´t HAVE to do anything to change it- I want you to know that before we proceed.

However, if you do want to try to go that extra mile and refine your character, then my basic advise is:
-Pick one: brute speed or slow turtle. As it stands, your character is combining quick-thinking with a fast shapeshifitng and massive producing of a truck-withstanding wall. To fix this, either make it so he takes longer to think and walls in with his quirk rather than being able to respond fast or alternatively, he has quick but not bright wits and shapeshifitng/harderning powers that are barely used with any effectiveness, a character that can quickly come to a decision and attempt to attack the enemy and attack by swinging his usual wrist hardened blades instead of figuring he can just make a blade sprout from his back to block the enemy.

-Seriously reduce that hardening: As it stands, no one punching you normally or with a slight augmentation will ever end up having a land on you any damage, because most punches don´t exactly tend to have the power of a truck at 40 mph, the bare minimum of your character´s utmost hardening. So either reduce how hard one needs to hit, or put a very serious time limit on this hardening.

-Don´t try extra body shapeshifting: giant hands of the thing seem a bit out of place and unecessary. You could have had this cool armor-type quirk that can kind of "edit" it´s design mid-battle, an gives you a very concrete role in the team and that is sacrificed for a little combat

Alright. I think I got the gist of it. As for the last part, the idea is that Kite equips himself with glob, as you mentioned with armor-type quirk. That's it really. Anyways I'm going to get editing to refine the character and go dat extra mile. Thanks.

If I had to say something which is lacking in this rp, in my very personal opinion, that would be coordenation. We are using the OOC a lot, but I pratically didn´t see a single person discussing their upcoming characters with other players, talking about anything reassembling a role distribution, discussing potential future scenes, communicating about existing characters and what already has been done, all these things that could be talked about in the OOC and are just haven´t really been... Again, it´s not necessarily a mistake on your part, this is just how I personally feel as a person that RPs end up being more interesting, with a better skeleton as a base plan and then letting things flesh out from that solid base.
