The ultimate plot twist! So wait, Dark Shadow has a quirk called Tokoyami?
Reallyyyy? Like all through elementary it's called that in Florida. When I lived in Illinois I heard it as well...wtf is crisscross apple sauce sitting position? I have legit never heard it called that before.

I have been to both of those states and grew up in one of them. I have only ever heard it referred to as Indian style.
What we call that over here is a little racist
Eh could be the parts then. I was raised half and half in both.
Not all that uncommon though. It's actually one way it's called / taught to kids.
Hmmmmmm that's interesting, it could be the age gap (Cohort effect)?I actually asked my friends about it. My european friends know it as indian style, and my other american friends also know it as indian style. None of them have heard of crisscross applesauce before @_@

ummm i’ve known that since i was in preschool/kindergarten and i live in vegasQuite possibly. We're all in our late twenties so maybe this whole crisscross thing is a newer phenomena? It's just funny because we have a guy who lives in florida and a guy who lives in illinois, the very two states you mentioned, and neither of us had ever heard this before.
This is a prime example of "you learn something new every day"
It probably is since I'm 20 and I've learned it both ways. I was probably in the middle of elementary when they switched it.Quite possibly.
